Well…how do you all like the new catalog? I swear, I still flip through it and find something else…we are just crazed stampers that LOVE IT when there are new kids on the block! I just giggle when I think if that as to me, it is GREAT that we still as adults get excited for new toys!
This is the card that I will send to you when you place an order with me of 35+. I was happy with the end result and I all say, this is one fabulous bundle and I totally would get the bundle as both the stamp and the framelits are true blues….plus you will save 10%
Earlier this week I had a call from a team member asking questions about the pine-cones and how they were to work with etc. My answer, I did not know as I have not played with them. I knew that I needed to do something about that as I adore her and she was thinking about making 100+ cards!
Here was my take and I hope that she likes it. This bundle is a simple “DREAM MACHINE” to work with as you can use the pine stamp…and then layer over the actual die cut pine so you would not have to cut so many pieces of the pine (I hope that makes sense) 🙄
If you look at the photos, you can see that I did stamp some of the pines….one color is Always Artichoke and the next one is Old Olive. (Did I surprise you with this color combination) I happen to really like Always Artichoke for the holidays (I think I am on an island as I know many of you are not a fan but I hope that this card will show you that it is a great color.)
The different framelits that are in the bundle are so versatile. You can use the easily to tuck in many projects that we do. I have a confession…when I went to grab a scrap of crumb cake…I must have picked up Sahara Sand and I did not realize it until I photographed it…..it still worked but I think I will do the ones for you in Crumb Cake
I will send you a PDF of this after I mail the cards but here is a tip that I do need to share (you know me, I love tips and tricks to help) I put a piece of Tear n Tape in the middle of the card (over top of the stamped pines) and then simple pressed down the loose pine!
Glue dots work great to do the “tuck in’s” for the other pieces….just play around and have fun!
Here is your project details….pin away as this is a great card to CASE, please email me if you need help with it, I will be glad to!
One more peak and then a reminder…
Go to the top of my blog and click on the PAW PRINTS REWARDS TAB...this is where all of the incentive offerings will be each month. I am trying to get you used to using the blog to your advantage to stay on top of the opportunities that you have!
Thoughts??? How do you like it? To me, it screams a traditional Christmas! Another thing that really, really makes my heart pitter patter…
Simple Joys (darn, I love both of those words) 🙂
Beautiful Christmas card! I am also a fan of Always Arti. It goes so well with many colors and tones them down when needed. The placement of the red peeking under the sentiment is a great idea. Have a sunny Friday!
O.k. ladies we are good on our Island – we have the sheep herder with us!
Great card Susan! You are enabling again! I love the way you use the Lots of Labels framelits, the red is not bigger but the same size and split. And yes, I love Always Artichoke!!! One of my faves!
I like this game….enabling Ramsey!
Christmas Pines is such a beautiful bundle. Your card is lovely !! I am thinking of using it for thank you notes….love pine trees so much.
GREAT idea – this would be a super versatile thank you note choice for many months!
Love your card ! I have not gotten that set yet . I try to buy versatile sets and I think I could use these on a non Xmas type card in the mid Fall . I just love those pinecones !!
I was looking at Always Artichoke last night (really) and wondering why I don`t use it more ???
Have a fun Friday !
YEAH – another person on our Island….Artichoke ROCKS!
First thing I did when I woke up yesterday was to put in my order! I figured if I waited a day or 2 to order this bundle it would be back ordered and I’ve got to start my Christmas cards! Good news, I got an email from Stampin Up last night saying my order shipped! I will be stalking the UPS guy and doing the happy dance when it arrives. Thanks for another great card. I will make some with the red accent like you did and try others with gold.
Who doesn’t love Arti? A beautiful subtle gorgeous green. Like the bass guitar – not a standout but adds depth and a beauty all its own. Pairs great with Old Ollie.
You are so smart…..GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! Love the bass guitar analogy!
I sometimes click on your blog to check out your project before walking Ted (or Ted walking me) so I can think of something witty or wise to say. Well, today I was happy to hurry back home (besides having to go to the bathroom) I wanted to leave my comment on this gorgeous card. If they didn’t like it they were either related to Mr. Scrooge and hated the whole holiday season or they were terribly allergic to pine needles and pine cones. Just the mere sight of such invokes an allergic reaction! This is stunning and I almost thought I had clicked on Ann Schach’s blog for all the pine boughs but there was no pearls. Hey, everyone, this is a complement! The only thing I would maybe change is the color of the pine cone you already mentioned. It looks like maybe it had too much of that pine tar on it that made it look too light in color. I loved how you stamped some of the branches and then made the others. Just so darn realistic….I almost can smell the scent of pine. Oh, wait Mike has one of those cheapo tree air freshener’s in his desk that must have come open. I hate those things-it is going out in the trash. I will spend the extra few cents to get something from Yankee Candle or Bed and Bath to make the car smell nicer. Sorry, I got side tracked. To think she is going to make one for all who purchases $35 or more….well, I am going to start robbing my piggy banks today and take all those pennies to the bank. I want this card! Heck, I might even frame it as it is truly a work of art. SU needs to start using some of their demos cards in the catalog – their’s is a pitiful cry for help comparing to this beauty. I guess Susan will find out how durable those dies are because I think she will be making a zillion of these cards for her customers! As far as Arti vs, Old Ollie (love Sharon’s names) I use both esp when making an tempenade or whatever that olive spread is called. Actually, I take spurts on which to use and it depends on what color of red I am pairing with it or if it is a rust color. Anyway, can you tell I love this card? Ted is feeling short changed on the walk an wants to go back out, we are having a beautiful day. Yes, Susan this screams Christmas to me!
YOU did it again, brought me to laughter and tears! You are just too much and WOW – that is a HUGE compliment as Ann is the QUEEN!!! The funny thing is, I sat down and all I knew that I wanted to accomplish was to use the pine cones for my friend who asked about them – Love it when things like this happen! I agree – those air fresheners can simply do you in!
LOVE this beautiful card, Susan. It has the perfect amount of red to make it pop and is very Christmas-y!! Great idea to stamp some of the pine boughs and diecut others. Have a great weekend.
YOu have to have that POP of red for the holidays! Have a great weekend
A lovely card with a traditional flare. I too Ike Always Artichoke so I hope there is room on your island for more as I see some others liking this color too. It’s great with Old Olive. Like the images you used too this is a fun set.
Now that’s what we need our own Island of Stampers….we will use our scissors to protect us from intruders!
What a beautiful card!!! Can’t wait to try to make this one … you always amaze me with your talent and always willing to share with us needing inspiration! THANK YOU for ALL that you do for us, your cyber family!
Make it…make it – do it in steps! I would take your time – do all of the cutting of the pines and keep them in a sealed container so they don’t get crushed etc….and make the journey fun if you are going to make many of them! Thanks for the sweet comment!
Another stunner Susan! Thanks so much for all of your beautiful inspiration. I try to visit your blog every day…it brings a smile to my face. 🙂
No YOU are the one making me smile!
I love it! I love it and I love it! This bundle is now #1 on my wish list. I give myself obligations I must fulfill before putting in an SU order and I’m not quite done yet but I plan to crank them out this weekend. That gives me time to add more to list, of course!
I love the way you think! All you are doing is being Santa and making sure that the Princess has everything on her list!!!!
Oh yes, definitely, a traditional Christmas Card! Love it. Have a great Labor Day weekend, one and all.
🙂
Yippee, so glad Mrs. Farrell likes it – you to have a great holiday!
