Good Morning and I hope that you have enjoyed the past (2) days of the “parade of beauties”…I know that you all enjoy seeing all types of work and so do I – that is why I love to participate in swaps….you always can find a “nugget” that you will use in the future! 🙂
I have been a “busy stampin’….cutting, wrapping, counting lady” trying to get all of your Produce Shares out the door to you and I am happy to say that even though I did not meet my ultimate goal of yesterday, all if them will be out today!
Let’s get to this card…it is a clean and simple card and I hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see the changes I made and then I will also share with you the dimensions and tips & tricks!
I have already used this stamp set and as I like to say…..it’s a keeper! I can remember that when I first became a demonstrator….I asked my upline and friend, Mary Fish….“How do you know what to buy?” – I will always remember her wisdom, when in doubt between 2 stamp sets….go for the the “sentiments one” This stamp set is a great example of a keeper! Love the variety of fonts….
In the below picture, can you see that the leave has some texture to it? Pop back tomorrow and I will share with you the secret that I love to do with leaves! You can see that this really is super simple….it all get back to “having the basic tools” and also being smart when you purchase your framelits…..Today I have used (3) – they are are classics that will be used for many, many projects!
Could you guess the (3) framelits before peeking below….well the leaf one is a given but the Delightful Dijon one is from the Christmas Pines….and yep, I listed it as a bundle because you need both as this is just a very classic, well thought out stamp bundle! Just think out of the box and use your framelits in other ways like I did here today!
I admit, I forget about the Tags & Labels framelits….but this works GREAT for sentiments!
I think that you all have been lovin’ the DSP in the new catalog – it is really beautiful and I was thrilled that this paper coordinates with Very Vanilla – ( it is a great change up and adds an instant warmth)
Have fun with mixing up the DSP – I thought, WHY NOT????? It is the same color family and I think that it adds a fun interest to the card. I wish that you could hold this in your hand as the dimension and “feel” of the card is just great but oh so easy! I really had no idea what to make for you all today but I needed a card for someone to letting her know that I am thinking of her….and it worked!
I hope that this simple card brought a smile to your face and also showed you that it is “ok” to use DSP in a BOLD way. This IS a bold paper but it works great! I think somethings we shy away….I say – GO FOR IT and BE BOLD!
Please pop back tomorrow to see what is up me sleeve! Enjoy your day….go and make someone smile!
Good morning, Susan. Today’s card works perfectly with the bold color combo and all the elements. It is very simple but elegant. Very pretty. I always look forward to your stepped up version. Have a super Saturday.
Awe….you made me smile! I always love hearing from you and thanks for comment. I admit, I do not use the Labels and Tags Framelits often and now I am say – WHY NOT – they are great! I hope to see you back tomorrow!
Susan, Good morning. Your card is so pretty.I love the bold DSP. And the simplicity of te leaves with the delightful Dijon leave. WOW this is so pretty. I love the sentiment. The person who receives this pretty card is owing to smile. Have a great day. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
Hi Ellen, I hope that you are having a great weekend. WOW – it is super hot! Thanks for popping in the house today and I am glad that you enjoyed the card! I do love this sentiment as I think that it could go for so many different cards you would send. I hope that I do not let you down tomorrow….
The color combo is elegant!!! The card is beautiful…….I will be looking forward to the Sunday Step Up as I think this card is lovely as-is!!!! Ave a lovely day!!!!
Hi Ann….I hope you pop back tomorrow and I hope that you will smile – I like it, I think that it is a great layout…have a great day!
Happy Saturday to everyone!! Susan, your card is beautiful. You are right, the DSP is majorly bold, but you balanced it nicely with your other choices and it turned out great. Hope you have a wonderful day. We’re just going to be bums and hang out as a family.
OMG…..I have missed you!!!! How is our dear Caleb? Is he all settled in at school? Tomorrow is our day to be lazy bums….I can’t wait! Hugs my friend!
Beautiful card! The bold DSP is nicely softened with the small touches of Dijon and areas of white. Like Tricia said nicely balanced! Have a super Saturday!
Thanks for the comment…this was one paper in the pack that I was going to have a challenge with because of its boldness – I decided – GO FOR IT….and being the great sheep herder that you are – you would do the same thing!
Hi Susan, Love these two colors together. Something I probably would never have done. Love the leaf against the white too. Can’t wait until tomorrow.
Have a great Saturday!
🙂
I agree….I usually do not gravitate to Rich Razzlebery and I know that there are a TON of people that do not care for the Dijon…..it really is not a bad color – try it as it looks so handsome with so many colors – You too have a great weekend!
This beauty is both bold and bright but softened up with the vanilla which made it so warm and cozy and comforting. The leaf looks so good mimicking the pattern in the paper. WOW, you really did a wonderful job on this card. I know I feel comforted by just looking at this card the more I look at it!
That’s be – BIG and BOLD! I hope that you like tomorrows card….I just love those leaf framelits – so classic…JUST LIKE YOU!!!! Thanks for popping in and making me smile!
Wow! This one knocks my socks off (or it would if my shoes weren’t on so tight). I wondered where that greeting came from. Ooh! I confess to not liking the petals and paisleys set but the paper is to die for!
I am glad that your shoes did not go FLYING across the room! I hear you about this paper but I am finding lots of way to have fun…I am a very traditional
fall color gal!
