O.k. – I know that you are out there….I see you…I know that you have it….so COME OUT OF THE CLOSET….What am I talkin’ about???
USE THAT WASHI TAPE up!
I have been itchin’ to do a card like this. To me, it is a “happy card” – it is clean, it is simple, it just makes me happy! This stamp set is carried over from last year (as it deserves to be) and if you were a smart stamper last year….here comes a WOOT-WOOT as you are super smart and for you that have not HIT THAT PAW PRINT…I would put your readers on and take a look!
This card is very straight forward , an A-2 card and then the Garden Green Mat is just a “smidge larger” than the white piece of 4″ X 5 1/2″ and then just add the banner. It is as simple as that!
You can see that I let the Washi Tap pennants “be free” and did not hold them down with a glue dot. You can easily do that but I like the whimsical feel of the banner. I did tie the bakers twine in a bow using (2) strands of twine and then…I did use a simple glue dot to hold it down!
I think that you will know why I am smiling, the POLKA DOTS….I just love the DSP Stacks – this is why they are so popular when I do product shares, I had totally overlooked them in the catalog but when in doubt – pull them out! This give the envelope the love that it deserves!
Here is you 411 – Directory Assistance Photo. Break it down, this is a very affordable card and one that you can use so many different Washi Tape and also so many different stamps! Have fune making the banners the same length, vary them like I did today…just have fun!

There you go….your “HUMP DAY” card….I would love for you to try it. You do have to admit, it is an easy card yet a card that “gets the job done” and also is a layout that you can use over and over and over and over…and guess what – you will always feel great about yourself in creating, but the lucky person that receives it, will be THRILLED!
Guess what I did yesterday, I opened up the swap card and today I am going to take pictures of them. All I can say is wow…WOW…WOW!!!!! I love the work that you do and I will proudly be showcasing them over the next week.
Here is that Paw Print – go for it…..what we do is a win-win…..enjoy the day!
I simply adore this card and can think a so many ways to change it up (non-Christmas too), THANKS!
Cute idea ! I love it ! I used to not give Washi Tape a second look ,but now I have TONS ! I don`t use it a lot on cards because I have become a WASHI hoarder ! Yes, I admit it ! Just like dsp I don`t want to use it up !!
There must be 12 Step Programs out there somewhere for those of us that are addicted in the craft world (giggle)
I am a Polka Dot lover also ! I have Polka Dot Washi too !!
So cool! Love it, love it, love it–and now I’m going to go DO IT!
Hi Susan, very bright and happy card. I honestly am not a fan of washi tape. I think I didn’t like the uneven tears at the end, when it first came out. I only have the Floral Bouquet set, AND I have not used that yet either. I guess I’m a washi tape hoarder too!
Happy Hump Day!
🙂
Wow, the morning came awfully quick! I’ve been working at the pharmacy quite a bit over the last few weeks because it’s flu shot season and we’re always extremely busy. Problem is, I have little “play time” and therefore, neither Caleb or I had time to make a card for your swap. I feel SO bad AND sad! At least we’ll get to enjoy the parade of the beauties as you post them. About your card today…we love it! I will be joining the 12-step hoarders program along with Sonny. I’m also a lover of anything polka-dots. Have an great day!!!
Use Washi Tape up?!?!? But what if I NEED it after it is used up!?!?!? Ok, I will have to stop hoarding and make this card! Love it!
Dear Susan, I guess I am like all of the others. I am a hoarder for DSP I have not really bought any of the Washi tape yet. I think I may need that 1 (800) number as well. Your card is so cute. I love the layout. You are so amazing Susan. Have a great day.

I love washi tape and used it a lot on the 2000 Christmas tags I made for charity over the last two years.
Then I become a hoarder but the card you showed earlier in the year that used the 5 strips inspired me and now I try to use it as much as I can and not hoard it.
I also discovered that a Japanese girl friend of mine is a huge washi tape user so I am introducing her to Stampin’ Up washi tape by giving to her every time I see her. (She lives in Florida and I live in the West.)
Thanks for the inspiration, Susan.
I am having fun with the washi tape but still hoarding it a bit. I even ordered the Candy Cane Lane washi tape at card club last night. I have seen so many fast and fun cards using it. Plus, this card is fast and fun too and I will need to copy it – now do I use what I ordered last night or do I need to get this pack too? The flannel look is just so warm and inviting! I bet you all thought I was going echo Ramsey’s comment about using the tape up – what if I need to use it later….. She does have a valid point there!
I love this card community. All of these posts are my thoughts exactly…whether it is needing the 12-step hoarders program or not wanting to use it because I might have a “special” project later. I have been really involved in my local senior center and didn’t get a swap card to you. I had set that as a definite goal this time, but it just didn’t happen. This is a really cute card and would make anyone smile. I’ll have to let go of some of my washi tape and actually make this card. Thanks, Susan. You are the best that’s why you have the best fans/followers!
You know what, I really like that ‘Happy Christmas’ greeting rather than Merry Christmas, it’s different and I’m all about the happy, merry not so much. This is a great quick card and an awesome use of washi tape for all occasions. Why, yes that would be a nice way to use some of my 100+ rolls, yes, yes. Not a hoarder…. really. Okay. I am.
Alos, can we talk? I had some older rolls of SU washi tape that when I pulled them out to use they would not work. You could not peel just one layer of tape off… several would come and not even the whole strip.. .just a part of it and it wasn’t sticky. I tried and tried and thought if I could just peel down enough I might get to some useable tape that works right. But it never happened. I’ve since had this happen with a couple of rolls of non-SU tape too. No clue what that is about or how to fix it beyond tossing the tape in the trash.
