I know…I know that you all are enjoying seeing soooooo many incredible projects of the holidays….so I decided to be differenttoday! It is “WING IT WEDNESDAY”!
This is not only a FUN card but it is one that uses a special stamp set, Pun Intended.. it is a fun, FUN stamp set and it is a hostess set. I usually do not blog about them…but they are sooooo attainable for YOU! Stampin’ Up! always does a great job with the hostess stamps and I just had to share as it is a FUN one!
The Hostess sets are in the back of the Annual Catalog and this one is only $9.50. If you have an order that is over $150.00 you can earn Hostess Rewards and then have the opportunity to choose a stamp set for a super discounted price. (pages 197 – 201) will share with you all of the sets and details!
You can click here to see another card that I made with this set, super simple yet very fun. Please feel free to email me if you are interested in getting a Hostess Code and by doing this, you can see if your friends and family need any Stampin’ Up! Products….gifts for the upcoming holiday etc…and the items will be shipped DIRECTLY to them so it does not matter if you live on the other side of the country! 😀
I think that you can see that I had fun making this card. It is really easy to do and I think that the below pictures will share with you an insight on how easy it is to make.
I do think using the Big Shot is easy to use but you could easily use hand circle punches as well. (It all depends if your circles need to be in the center) Because I was going with a variety of sizes, I used the ornament as I liked the “size” but just kept the top part towards the center as I knew that it would be covered up.
I did use a piece of white paper under the black “cut out piece” for ease and it also gives the card more stability (I love a nice heavy feeling card) 🙂 Here is the FUN – just place whatever DSP your heart desires and then snip off the excess! (Doesn’t get any easier than that) plus it is fun and I bet that the circle make you smile!
I used the chevron print from the Pop of Pink DSP…classic to the max! This has been a popular DSP and you can see why – Black and White with a POP….I say, perfect!
Here is a great shot to show you that I “Lifted Up” the focal part of the card with dimensionals so it let the camera POP right off the page but lets chat about the envelope! Darn, I do love my envelopes. I admit, there are times that I fel like I just do the same old thing with my envelope backs so I thought – WHY NOT?
I took a 2″ X 6″ piece of black card stock and did the same thing – just cut out random circles from it an pieced in the DSP – I LOVE the effect it gave and if this would not make you smile getting into your mailbox….nothing would!
Well….do you like? – NEWS FLASH…YOU are awesome for popping in today! I need to share with you where the cute little “dots” came from…this is a stamp that is in the Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set! I wish that you would see mine as it is so stained – I think that this is a great “go to” stamp set and I find myself grabbing is often!
This font and the simple sentiments are why this wins my heart – you will never go wrong with having this on your shelf. Being that you can “see through” the stamp made is easy to stamp this fun and playful dotted line!
I hope that today’s card gave you a bit of a break from the Holiday Cards…I realize that it IS the seson fro getting the Holiday Cards going but I wanted to share something a tad bit different today!
HERE IS A NEWS FLASH….the stitched framelits are on very low or maybe are already depleted. You all went BONKERS over them (I get it as they are fabulous) and Stampin’ Up! has already gone through 2 shipments of them…..please do not wait but IF they are on backorder – they WILL be getting more shipments before they are in the catalog next year…..

Very cute card with a great technique. Love the color combo with the cutest camera and sentiment. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Great card and great way to use up scraps.
Also, a shout out of ” Thanks” for the beautiful card I received from Lynn L from Fairpoint NY. ( I hope I got that right.). It was the embossed sleigh with a smart reindeer decorated with a sweet wreath. The attention to detail was amazing. Thank-you Lynn!
Cute! Love the layout and the color combo….black and pink are so fresh together. This stamp set is adorable with the puns and pics. Your envelope idea is awesome….thanks for sharing and have a fun, wacky Wednesday!
Fun and very creative card. Love the use of a lot of different products…..and it all comes together to make a great card!!!!
You always do a fabulous job with dots. This is a very cute card.
I enjoy a break from holiday cards. Love the circles in this card!
I laughed so hard that I snorted when I saw that one set said” I love you a watt.” I don’t know why but that totally tickled my funny bone. This is a great card and thank you from the bottom of my heart and even my cold toes for not showing a holiday card!
I was a bit confused when I saw the Merry Tags Framelits in the recipe section – but that little light bulb jumped from the stamp set and into my head – I get it! Plus the dots in the Perfectly Wrapped set and maybe the stars are on either but I get the idea they look too big to be from the confetti punch. Not totally holiday stuff – you can use some parts all the year round. Hey. give me a break, the last few days I have made over 50 cards of various kinds and more to go for the nursing homes. I have found my stack of dimensional stickers and snippets of ribbons from the recycled tree project and they are now being resurrected into cards. Plus, there are glittery snowflakes and all kinds of fun stuff in the bag. The main thing is to have fun while making them! New motto – Stash Away, Stash Away, Stash Away All – well, not all I gotta hoard some! Maybe I had better take a break and make something for supper, U am getting a little giddy!
