Tweet-Tweet….you’re amazing!

Tweet-tweet….I hope that you are having a great weekend! I changed up what I had planned for you today for a simple reason…I was missing playing with my stamps and decided to take a break from working on the product shares last night and I got inky!!!

I have ordered…actually a bunch but I will say the things that I have ordered have mainly been the products needed to fill my shares! Remember, today is the LAST day if you want to sneak in a product share. WHY did I do that? Easy – if I ordered a bunch for myself right now….I know me well enough – I would easily be sidetracked and sneak upstairs and stamp so I guess you could say that I am “exercising stamping willpower”

On Thursday I shared with you a CASE from the catalog…and today is the same! I wanna tell you….the samples and ideas that are RIGHT THERE at our fingertips in the catalog are the BEST springboard for you to CASE. Now go get your catalog and turn to page 220 and here is my inspiration!

As I have been cutting paper into the Swatch Books I have really started to learn and get a feel for each of the offerings. Do you remember during Sale-A-Bration we had the DSP that you could color called Inside the Lines? Well…in the new catalog we have an offering that is the similar idea…it is called, Just Add Color. Let me tell you…it is fabulous! I will blog about that another post…it is super fun and fresh!

The stamp set that I am using today is called Feathery Friends and it has a similar “color me” feel. This is a Host Rewards set and I think that the offering for Stampin’ Rewards Redemption are wonderful in the catalog….please go to 220-223 to see the offerings.

I want you to think back when you were in school and you were sitting there listening, or trying to listen but your pen just kept doodling. This is how I can related to images like this in the stamp set and also in the Just Add Color DSP…they are super simple images that are just BEGGING for a bit of doodle here and there – it is as simple as that and this is what I did for today’s card!

There are so many elements that make me smile about this card. At a glance there seems to be a lot going on but this is a card that you could make in the masses and just have fun with an endless array of color combinations. Here are some things I like about it….

  • You can stamp the images…cut them out with the Oval Framelits ….grab a bunch of pens, watercoloring pencils, blender pens etc…and GO TO TOWN! For the card I used the Aqua Painter (as it is my true blue friend) and an assortment of ink pads…that’s how I like to roll!

  • The card uses scraps….the DSP is a strip from the Coffee Break DSP that I had that is 1″ wide and then a quick flag on the ends did the trick!

  • I ADORE the look of “tone on tone” and if you look at the Soft Sky Card Stock I stamped the images in Versamark to give it a special look and feel…we all need to have Versamark in our stash and also it helped to “condition” my stamps….remember that tip from before?

  • The sample that was on the catalog gave me a PUSH to use something that I have but do not use a bunch….Doilies…I think that it just added that “something-something” – sometimes we need that nudge! 😆

  • A card like this allows you to add ANY sentiment. Because the image is so general, you could easily put a birthday sentiment, anniversary, thinking of you….or heck – just leave it blank!

  • I ADORE using different textures…the wee bit of the burlap ribbon again was the perfect “something-something” to make this card sparkle…do you agree? It is amazing how tucking in a simple glue dot does the trick!

Enjoy the pictures….I hope that it makes you chirp! To me this is a relaxing “therapy card” as face it – there is not a right or wrong way to color this…the only rule is – JUST HAVE FUN!

Please do not overlook my generous rewards program that I offer to my customers that shop with me….collecting Paw Prints is fun but it is even better when you are able to pick a free stamp set.

In addition to the rewards program I am offering another personal incentive to my customers….buy any 3 bundles in the current catalog throughout the year and be able to pick a Host Stamp Set…..now that should make you smile! Trust me, I get it….that these special stamp sets are soooo tantalizing but you just do not want or feel like having an event or hostess code…so here is a solution to that!

Here is a funny for you and I bet that you would not have “caught it” if I did not point it out. Look below at the envelope. Do you see that the flap is straight across? Well, confessions of an honest stamper…..when I went to go trim the excess let’s say I had a bit of “user error” and instead of starting over…I simply trimmed the boo-boo’s off and presto – a fun envelope!

Again, another example of how we can make lemonade out of lemons!

Enjoy your day and I will see you on Tuesday! I wish that I could say that I am having a day off tomorrow….but I will be in the Product Share Trenches work to make a bunch of you have HUGE SMILES….I know you are very eager to get your goodies and I am like Lucy in the Chocolate Shop!

I just turn the music up…sing (watch the dogs turn their heads because I hurt their ears) and just go to town! I have a funny for you on Tuesday….enjoy the day and remember…shopping from home is TOTALLY on trend!!!

Hostess stamps are for YOU!

Good morning! Boy, do I have a super fast card for you and yep, it is from a hostess stamp set but do you realize that a hostess stamp set is soooo doable? I know….I know…..Stampin’ Up! makes these stamps so darn tootin’ cute for you to want them…really want them and then you feel like – “That is just for those people that have parties”

NO, that is NOT TRUE!

This stamp set, Pun Intended is a great and versatile stamp set… it is fun, whimsical and still classic! There are several ways that you can earn this stamp set and do you see…it is just $9.50 😀

If you have an order that exceeds $150.00 that allows you to earn hostess earnings and yep, you could choose to purchase this with your earnings and just think – (you would also quality for 3 SAB items)

You can contact me for your own Hostess Code and then share that code with family and friends all over and when they order, they use that specific code you give them and then you can watch your event sales grow to allow you to earn FREEBIES.

The best thing is with this is Stampin’ Up! ships their product directly to them…so you can have a friend that lives on the other side of the country and still have your event successful!

You really do not need me for this card, but you will get a wee bit of me! This is one of those cards that I call a “formula”WHY???? Easy – it is basic, it is clean, it can be used over and over and no one would ever say – “She always makes the same cards”

Again WHY???? By changing up the stamp, the DSP, the paper colors, the ink colors….you will have a totally different look and feel each and every time!

This DSP, Urban Underground is just one handsome collection of paper! I have used this so much. Look at the above picture, it might appear that I used a bunch of paper for layers but actually I did not!

The outside piece is just “5 x’s wide” – I was going for a clean and symmetrical look on the paper and then the black dot piece is just 1/4″ wide…because it is adhered so tightly against the other piece, it gives a visual that you layered one on the other.

Here you will see the other dimensions but did you notice the simple dots from a black pen to make the rather plain image have a bit of pizazz? You all know that I love my dots, my dashes etc….as I truly think that they are a super easy way to add a unique touch that cost nothing more of some extra time!

I want you to try this for a week….when you make projects, try to say – I am going to make it complete from beginning to end. What am I talking about? I am saying, look at the below picture and you will see what I do just about everyday – pull it all together by having my card and envelope work together!

If you do not have enough DSP…no biggie, how about stampin’ on the front of the envelope? You could have easily stamped this sentiment across the bottom of the envelope several times and trust me, whomever was receiving it would be so excited to see what was inside.

You could add a simple piece of Washi Tape across the back flap of the envelope…that would pull it together as well. I guess the point I am getting to is…..try to make your projects special with your own flair and signature ~ once you start doing this it just become automatic and that element of extra touches makes a difference!

Remember Mikey, TRY IT…YOU MIGHT LIKE IT!

This fun card could be sent to so many people in your life. It is one of those good old faithfuls that would be great to have on hand. We all have so many people that “light up our lives” in many ways and also for a variety of reasons.

Face it, we love to make cards…that’s why you are here looking at what I am up to today. I encourage you to make up multiple cards and send them randomly to people that least expect it – guess what???? Two things are going to happen...I PROMISE….

  1. You will make someones day 😀
  2. You will be proud of yourself because YOU will have this amazing feeling inside that you took the time so make a work of art from your heart and shared a special message to someone. 😀

Now go have a great day and I hope to see you tomorrow…..bring some Kleenex because I might touch your heart strings!

I know…I know that you all are enjoying seeing soooooo many incredible projects of the holidays….so I decided to be differenttoday! It is “WING IT WEDNESDAY”!

This is not only a FUN card but it is one that uses a special stamp set, Pun Intended.. it is a fun, FUN stamp set and it is a hostess set. I usually do not blog about them…but they are sooooo attainable for YOU! Stampin’ Up! always does a great job with the hostess stamps and I just had to share as it is a FUN one!

I think that you can see that I had fun making this card. It is really easy to do and I think that the below pictures will share with you an insight on how easy it is to make.

I do think using the Big Shot is easy to use but you could easily use hand circle punches as well. (It all depends if your circles need to be in the center) Because I was going with a variety of sizes, I used the ornament as I liked the “size” but just kept the top part towards the center as I knew that it would be covered up.

stampin-up-pun-intended-card-just-because-perfectly-wrapped-photopolymer-pop-of-pink-dsp-susan-itell-6-simplestampin

I did use a piece of white paper under the black “cut out piece” for ease and it also gives the card more stability (I love a nice heavy feeling card) 🙂  Here is the FUN – just place whatever DSP your heart desires and then snip off the excess! (Doesn’t get any easier than that) plus it is fun and I bet that the circle make you smile!

stampin-up-pun-intended-card-just-because-perfectly-wrapped-photopolymer-pop-of-pink-dsp-susan-itell-5-simplestampin

I used the chevron print from the Pop of Pink DSP…classic to the max! This has been a popular DSP and you can see why – Black and White with a POP….I say, perfect!

Pop of Pink DSP

Here is a great shot to show you that I “Lifted Up” the focal part of the card with dimensionals so it let the camera POP right off the page but lets chat about the envelope! Darn, I do love my envelopes. I admit, there are times that I fel like I just do the same old thing with my envelope backs so I thought – WHY NOT?

I took a 2″ X 6″ piece of black card stock and did the same thing – just cut out random circles from it an pieced in the DSP – I LOVE the effect it gave and if this would not make you smile getting into your mailbox….nothing would!

Well….do you like? – NEWS FLASHYOU are awesome for popping in today! I need to share with you where the cute little “dots” came from…this is a stamp that is in the Perfectly Wrapped Stamp Set! I wish that you would see mine as it is so stained – I think that this is a great “go to” stamp set and I find myself grabbing is often!

This font and the simple sentiments are why this wins my heart – you will never go wrong with having this on your shelf. Being that you can “see through” the stamp made is easy to stamp this fun and playful dotted line!

6a00e54f95df92883401bb083d6cde970d-800wi

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June.  This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2015 – 2016 annual catalog.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.  Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 17 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

There is so much to love with this new catalog so I tried to put as much in the card that I could….(my FUN order isn't to be here until Friday so I am still working with a limited amount)

IMG_8441

I am a true blue clean and simple gal – I love a very straight forward project and I am head over heels with the Background Designer Series Stacks – LOVE THEM…the prints are so fun and fresh!

Today I used selections from the Brights collection and the 1" square punch. So easy to turn the daffodil paper to an angle to get the effect of horizontal and vertical stripes with the square punch!

I think working and playing with paper is key in keeping cards/projects affordable plus it gives you sooooo many different ways to show your creativity!

It simple does not get any easier than this – POP of paper….adhere and done!

IMG_8444

The hostess stamp sets are great! This one, Happy Birthday, Everyone has not only a great Image as shown here…but it also comes with a super variety of sentiments to "tag along" It really is not as hard as you think to  earn rewards for a hostess set!

IMG_8443

If you follow my blog (and I hope you do/will), than you know I adore my dashes and dots….the white gel pen is an all time favorite of mine and I also adore working with Bakers twine. It is not only sooooo darn affordable, it can create a wow in an instant!

IMG_8445

Well…thoughts???? Would this perky Birthday Card make you happy! If you have time, please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!

There is lots of HOPPING to do…so please have fun….be a sponge and take it all in – there is so much to see and I realize that it takes a while for us to "figure out" the new catalog…I am thankful that we have a HOP like this to help!

Show & Tell Saturday!

IMG_8333

It's the weekend and you know what that means…part #1 of my (2) day post….today being the "Show and Tell Saturday" where I will provide you a clean, simple and classic card and then tomorrow I will share with you the "stepped up" version! (There usually are not too many major changes, I just like to share with you how you can make some simple "tweaks" to make it different!)

The star stamp set is a NEW Hostess Stamp Set called Floral Wings. Darn, I wish you could see it…(but Tuesday will be here super quick) as it is one beautiful stamp set! It comes complete with 10 photopolymer stamps and the butterfly…well you'll be "fluttering" when you see this beauty!

IMG_8330

Let's get going as this is a super sweet card!

  • The overall size is a 4" square card in whisper white.
  • The NEW In Color of Delightful Dijon (now I realize that many of you are not "keen" on this color…but I think it looks super-de-duper!) The size is a 3 7/8" square and then I scored the sides at 1/8" all the way around with the Simply Scored and I did it so the embossed lines are "up"
  • The next piece of whisper white is a 3 1/2" square and this fits perfectly in the Delightful Dijon. In the below pictures you will see the "type A" in me…I stamped the sentiment and then had stamped the vase on a scrap piece of paper to i it out.

IMG_8312

IMG_8313

  • The colors I used are Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz and Delightful Dijon. I just love the fact that this stamp set gives you the ability to stamp the stem where and how high you want it…and then the flower is separate as well.

IMG_8314

  • It is not hard at all to cut the vase out…I personally think that this adds a bunch. I will say that I do like to stamp the underneath as show in the above photos as I like if you see from the side…you can see the vase!
  • The bow was a simple piece of bakers twine doubled up and tied into a bow. I used a glue dot to adhere it in place. I use Bakers Twine a bunch, it is always so easy to work with!

IMG_8337

  • Lastly, the envelope….the wonderful envelope! Making a square one is a cinch with the Envelope Punch Board…when I was making it I thought….I paid under $20.00 for this wonderful tool and when I think of how many times I have used it…I feel like I should be paying Stampin' Up! back!!!
  • I used the NEW envelope paper for the outer flap and yes – I did use the "green glue" and it works fine with this paper….(this paper is much thinner)

IMG_8334

Well…thoughts my friends? This is just one happy card that can easily be made into all different sizes. I cannot wait for you to see the hostess sets with the new catalog – they are all fun!

If you have friends and family that like Stampin' Up! why don't you contact me and I will give you your own special hostess code so YOU can reap the benefits of being a hostess and get a great stamp set. The best thing is that if you have a friend that lives across the country…that's o..k. – Stampin' Up! ships each order directly to them and YOU get to reap the benefits.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the hostess code etc…..Speaking of Hostess Codes….if you are placing an order from me this month please use the code K3VX2TKD and you will have a chance to win the hostess winnings for all orders placed. The last day is May 31st.

IMG_7907

Remember, this is the card that I will send to you as my thank-you….I just ADORE this stamp set and as I have blogged about this before….the punch is being carried over but the stamp set is not…so – if I were you…I would buy it as a bundle as you will save 15% and have this amazing stamp set!

I will be emailing you today and tomorrow for a confirmation for the Product Share requests I have received….please let me know if you are interested in a share as I will order Tuesday morning…PRONTO!

I hope to see you tomorrow – I know you'll love it!

My “hello there” for YOU!

IMG_5976

Good Morning! WOW….did you all enjoy the Pals blog hop yesterday? There is so much talent out there and it is so much fun hopping from one site to the next getting your creativity tank full! Many thanks if you popped by my site and saw my dear little bunny.

How about this super cute card? This is the card that I will be sending to everyone that places and order with me during the Month of February. As you can tell…I am lovin' the coloring thing and I would love to send this little guy your way!

IMG_5971

This is an easy card to make (and I have blogged about it before) but I just knew that this little guy will bring a smile to your face. Along with the card, I will provide you with a tutorial with the measurements and tips to make this style of a card!

This adorable stamp set is called Time To Celebrate is it is just the cutest and I sure have used it a bunch! It is a hostess set which means that you can use your free shopping rewards to purchase it for just $11.00.

137945G

I was super scared to dive into the Blendabilities when they 1st came out….true I was excited but deep down they intimidated me as the concept of "blending" was not in my thought process and when I looked at tutorials and heard people say…."look to see which way the light is"YIKES  – I thought THIS IS OVER MY HEAD!

IMG_5974

Well I jumped off that diving board and just did it and guess what – I LOVE THEM! There is no reason to be scared about them at all, actually quite the contrary as the color glides on and it is just plain and simple FUN!

Remember that when you use them to place a piece of paper underneath the area you are coloring as it is totally normal that they bleed through the back. Because they are alcohol based you also need to remember to put the cap on and hear that SNAP!(also – store them on their side)

IMG_5978

You can click here and shop away at my site and remember, for every order at the $50.00 mark, you will be able to pick a FREE goodie of your choice in the Sale-a-bration catalog and guess what – they have 12 different offering of Blendabilities too….here comes a woot-woot!

Screen Shot 2015-02-11 at 6.14.36 PM

It would be my pleasure to send you this super cute card and I have had fun coloring up many….thank you all for your business as brings me joy to make you smile!

Don't forget that at the beginning of the year I started a "Loyalty Program" to reward you for being YOU…great and supportive customers.

Click here to see the details. YOU can pick what YOU want! (you are responsible for keeping track of you Paw Prints)

IMG_5981

I love what I do and I love helping you reach your goals in learning new and fun techniques so you can go out and feel confident! Please feel free to email me and remember, click here to shop away and I will be happy to send you this card.

Enjoy the day….bundle up East Coast – it's going to be brrrrrrrrr……. and my poor PEEP that lives in Boston – he said that he has seen enough snow!
