Good Morning my cyber friends! I wish that I could say that I feel like a new person….but you are stuck with Rudolph again…..it can only get better! I look at my “fur friends” and ask them…how can John and I be sick and you guys just run and love life! Well….actually Rosie – (John’s princess was just diagnosed with Lyme’s decease…..but they put her on antibiotics and she is doing great)
This is my kinda card…it is simple, it is bold, it uses minimal products and it has a solid punch!
The sentiment is oh so sweet and it is from Suite Sentiments…..wow – I am getting a bunch of uses from this one and I will say…when you see a stamp that has great sentiments – BUY IT.….because it will come in handy!
The floral stamp is from the freebie – Avant Garden in the SAB flyer so you know what that means…it is FREE to you with a $50 purchase…SAB IS the BEST time of the year to get limited edition products that are only available;e until March 31st!
For today’s card, it was super simple but I wanted to point out that I chose to use a mask to stamp over top without having the ink colors blend together! Have you ever “masked an image before” – If this is something that is new to you….plese let me know in the comments as maybe I should do a video for you!
There are many ways to mask. I like to use Inkadinkado Masking Paper but you could easily use a Post It note. The reason that I like the masking paper is the fact that the “stickiness” is stronger and then I simply store it inside the stamp set and it is ready for the future!
The below pictures will the mask but this was taken after I did all of my stampin’ (sorry!!!!) but hopefully you can see that all you do is place it over……(it will seal) and then stamp with the other color…remove the mask – PRESTO and SMILE!
Now here is the SMILE 😀 picture – it doesn’t get much better than this! I adore the boldness yet simplicity of the DSP from Succulent Garden DSP…. it is filled with great patterns and the colors….oh so yummy!
Now here is your picture to PIN away! I think that we all can say that we have friends on our lives that we could send this to. I love this font I love the fact that the typesets are different so it really catches your eye!
Have a super FUN Saturday and I hope that you will pop back tomorrow. I have some changes that you might like….you might not like….but that is ok – we all see things with different glasses on!
John is a CPA so he is in full swing with the stresses of his job! I am sure that many if you are in the same boat….tax season is a drainer! Remember, jammie shopping is soooooo on trend so hit that Paw Print and have fine!

I love this Simple Saturday card! Avant Garden is one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration freebies! Your directions for masking are spot on! I need to check out your suggested paper for masking as I just use post it notes and toss each time. I like the idea of saving it right with the stamp set to make it ready to go another time! Thanks for sharing your tips my friend! Get better quick! Sorry to hear about Rosie!!!!
I agree-this is a great stamp set. I know we have a lot of florals but I just love the shape of the flower
I do love keeping the mask in the stamp set to reuse it . I hope you are feeling better.
Such a sweet card. I haven’t inked up my set yet, but hope to this weekend.
Get better soon!
Ink it up!!!!! I know that you will make some fabulous color combinations?
This is not one of the freebies I chose as yet. You make it look beautiful. I love your bold colors.
I am hoping all the Itells feel better real soon!
🙂
Oh Nancy ..:.you need this one it’s a keeper. You still have a while to go
How is the snow? You all got slammed ⛄️
I love the simple elegance! A beautiful card!!! And love your trademark dots! Thinking positively that today is the day, the turning point to a full and quick recovery!
I sure hope you are right because I am not used to going at 50%. Thanks for popping in. I need to check on the patient – her hubby is the best!
Simplicity at its best! Love the colors you chose and Avant Garden is perfect. Like Jeanie, I use post-its but I like your idea with the other paper and storing it. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s version. Feel better soon and have an easy kind of day. ?
Post it’s do work great but I think that this masking paper allows you to use it over more etc…..I need to do a masked card with the chicks!!!!
Susan, I love your card. Thank you for the tip of using the paper. Where do we find this masking paper. I use post it notes. Your card is so elegant . I love the sayings. I hope you feel better real soon .I am sorry to hear about Rosie. Give her a hug from me. Tell John to try and not work tooooooo hard this very busy tax season. My parents had a tax business. I know first hand how much work it is. Hugs,Ellen Hinds
Thanks Ellen. I gave Rosie a treat from you. She is a good girl and the vet says that she will be fine after her course of meds
We all know that the is nothing worse than a husband with a cold but on top of his work load, yikes!
I hope you can pop back tomorrow ?
Simple, stunning and totally Susan!
Awe, you made me smile….again!!!!!
I’m with Mary, simply stunning! Nothing better than CAS cards that really pop with color! Love it!
Thanks. This is one of those stamp sets that you can make look bad….fun with color!!!!!
Wow, loving this for simple Saturday! Definitely want to try this one
Do it my friend. Than can we play show and tell ?
Hope everyone feels better soon!
Your so sweet.
I just plain old …LIKE IT !! Love the colors you chose (you have that EYE for combining colors ) I don`t think a Step Up version could top this one !! Lucky me …..I had this on my next Freebie list and my sweet friend Suzie Cullen is gifting her extra one to me !!! Yay !! I will be CASING some Avant Garden cards as soon as the mail man delivers it !!
Wouldn`t it be great if there was a company like Orkin or Terminix that could come in and pre-treat your house for colds and flu types at the beginning of the season !! . Sorry you still feel bad !! It is in epidemic stages all over the country !! Sending warm healing thoughts to you and Miss Rosie !!
You are too funny. I loved when you said that we should look for a rent a pig so Daisey could have have a play date but spraying a house for colds is brilliant
I hope that you stamp comes soon and you can play.
Pretty springy-like card. Stepped up version, maybe a mat treatment or jazz up the centers of the flowers? Pop up the sentiment on a stitched framelit died panel? I don’t know and will just have to wait and see. This looks like it is a great set. Love your masking on the flowers. The “hot mess” of the masker is actually kind of fun and could be put in easel of that art set with a saying like color my world or whatever. Until tomorrow I will just have to guess! Hope everyone feels better soon. Rosie, you take your medicine like a good girl and get better soon. Your dad is going to be needing lots of comfort hugs at this time of year.
You make me laugh every week with trying to guess what tomorrow will bring.
You are warm on some elements!!!!
I will tell Rosie to be good….now she is one hot mess!!!?
Love this beautiful card! And, yes please do a video about masking! Hoping you are feeling better soon!
I think I will because I admit that I had no clue and I agree that it helps to see. Thanks for popping in today!
Avant Garden was NOT one of my first choices for freebies (“OMG, ANOTHER floral stamp?!?! Well I don’t need THAT”) but I “needed” some other things and ended up earning it this week. So glad I did; time to play! I love the masking on this card and will have to look up the paper. Great tip about saving it with the stamp set. Can’t wait to see the stepped up version of your card tomorrow. As always, thanks for the inspiration.
Hope you are feeling better.
I hear you…I hear you that it seems like we have so many floral stamps. I do like the sentiments in this set but there is something so easy about playing with the flowers like I did today!!!
Another winner, winner chicken dinner!!!! I really love the colors you chose. Looking forward to seeing what you do tomorrow!!!
? Feel better!!
Yippee….I love your enthusiasm….so much that I will spin around and do a chicken dance. You will have to pop in tomorrow and see what is up my sleeve. Thanks for being here today!?
I was all over that sentiment set when it first came out but honestly had no desire to get Avant Garden until I saw your blog post just now! Thanks for sharing….I think! 😉
YEAH….I am glad that I made you happy! These are both GREAT stamps…..and I am ALWAYS a lover of sentiment stamp sets! Thanks for leaving a comment, it made me smile!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Hey Jennifer…..thanks for being in the house! I am sooooooo glad that you like it and I hope that tomorrow will make you smile even bigger!
