Well…did I get you with this subject line? I hope so as I want you all to know that YOU are the ones that inspire ME! I received this card from our dear Chris R. from Iowa that is famous from her wonderful comments and I just has to CASE it!
Do you remember that I shared with you the how I feel about CASING? Well…I say ~ GO FOR IT….and when I received this card from Chris, I knew that I needed to do a blog post!
You know that I am “Plain Jane” with my simple style (sorry if your name is Jane – I have many friends named Jane) and I am not one that does odd “folds of cards” (pssst…Jeanie LOVES fun fold cards) but I just knew that you would love this!
I also know that you all LOVE when I share with you dimensions…..and I am ALL FOR THAT as this is how we CASE without frustration 😀 This layout can be used with SO MANY stamps that we have but you already know…..I adore this stamp set….as I love to cook and I love it when we have “puns of sentiments”
- Card base is 5 1/2″ X 7 3/4″ and then scored at 1 3/4″ and 6″
- The Sweet Sugar Plum Mats are 1 1/2″ X 5 1/4″
- The DSP is 1 1/4″ X 5″
- The inside Sweet Sugar Plum Mat is 4″ X 5 1/4″ and the White is 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″
Use the “shapes” as you will…as you can see that the sky is the limit with how you can use different shapes to fit the stamps that you use. I will say that if you do not have these Stitched Shapes Framelits – you need to take care of that – HIT THAT PAW PRINT and be happy that you are the proud owner of a “keeper”….just sayin’ 😀
This is a FUN card that I would keep in that wonderful memory bank of yours….but actually – I would try to make this card today as it is right in front of you and then I know what will happen….it is soooooo easy – you will SMILE….you will be HAPPY…..you will be PROUD OF YOURSELF…and then at the end you will feel that WONDERFUL FEELING of I DID IT! (and that makes ME happy) 😛
Thanks to Chris R. for this great card for me to case and I hope that it tickles your fancy! You all are the best and I look forward to seeing you here tomorrow…one thing about me, I love what I do and I love sharing with YOU!
There you go….will you try it? I hope so as you know that this is out of my box….but I will say that I like this box! It is a great layout and one that will go a long way with so many different stamp sets that you have!
Many thanks for the “love and comments” of my post yesterday! I am so tootin’ excited that we have a FASTER internet ( I kind of feel like Green Acres) so watch out – you will see more videos but they will ALL be “one take wonders” but I think the message will be delivered!
Happy HUMP day and until tomorrow….have a great day and go out and make someone smile!
p.s.- Chris R. ~ thank you for making me smile with this great card! 😎

These cards are very sweet and fun. Thanks to you both for the great inspiration.
WOW….you are an early bird! John and I are up and off to boot camp! The was actually a fun card to make – sometimes it feels good to go out of the box a bit! Have a great day!
Love, love how you isolated the measuring spoons and added a highlight. Chris R.’s card was a perfect inspiration!
I just think that adding a wee bit of Sahara Sand….does the trick!
Hi Susan, cute, cute, cute card. I love your layers. I love this layout too!
Happy Hump Day!
🙂
Thanks Nancy….layers make a card fun and fresh!
Love both the cards! Yes, I may have to case these!!! Just watched yesterday’s post and LOVE the video!!! You go girl! I am off to add tear and tape to my list!
I am really doing a great job in enabling you! Glad that you enjoyed the video – thanks for taking a peek!
Wow, that was a shock to see my card! Just think if I hadn’t hurried up so much and would have gotten the stuff like the panels on straight and some other stuff. My main objective was to use up more of the big polka dot paper and some teeny scraps of the smaller polka dots. The little jingle bell wasn’t quite mailable so I ripped it off and punched out the little circle for the pompom. I cut the envelope flap piece an inch too short on the side so I just scrapped that idea and threw on a sticker – I was going to get it in the mail that day no matter what. Inside there is a big THANKS stamped under the top flap. These are so easy but it helps to get the DSP panels on straight! I wanted to use Mr. Moose too.
So, Susan, your card is so much better – cleaner and well proportioned putting mine to shame. Love the sentiment and the colors. This would be fun for a Valentines card or you could even stamp a cake or balloon for a birthday on the “showcase” piece and put the little sentiment in the opening etc. I think I will do that as I need to make a birthday card and get it in the mail by this weekend.
I thank YOU for the inspiration! I know that you love that moose – he makes me smile every time I see him….I am so glad that I was able to surprise you!
Super cute cards Chris and Susan! Love how the card opens and definitely casing this. Thanks for sharing and enjoy the day.
This layout is up your alley….we have so many choices in stamps – a super fun layout.
Chris R. You are being a little hard on yourself!!! I love your card and Susan’s too!!! What a fun layout….it’s a keeper!!!!! Thanks to both of you for yet another “must do CASE”. Hope all of you have a happy day!!☺️
I agree with Ann….Chris – you are too hard on yourself…..you do a great job and I (we) hope that you CASE away!
Love both cards! Kudos to both you and Chris…just put this on my list to CASE. Thanks to you both for the wonderful inspiration!
Hello my friend….I hope that you have been stampin’ away and having fun….please try this one next time you get inky!
Great layout. Chris is so right that it would lend itself to many different occasions. I have some gals coming to play with Valentines tomorrow. Will include this idea. Thanks.
This would be an adorable Valentines. Darn, I wish we lived closer…I would love to crash your stampin’ fun.
WOW ! A star is born !! Chris R. , I am so going to CASE your lay out ! Just look at what Susan of Stamperville did with it !!! I am my own biggest critic ,but I think following these two cuties as examples I could come up with something cute !! Susan, I was looking at that stamp set just last night and pondering (I do that before I put in an order ….I ponder ) whether I could use it much . So so cute !
Thanks you two for the creative inspiration . FUN !
I agree, Sonny….a star is born! And I love the “Susan from Stamperville” slogan! It’s perfect!
Too funny!
Sonny, you always leave the best and up lifting comments. You know how to brighten someones day! I have been having FUN with this stamp set….wait until I tell the peeps about Susan from Stamperville!
I love these floating panel gatefold cards. They make an impact. I’ve been meaning to try one myself. I just realized that stamp set with the measuring spoons is in that big box the guy in the brown truck delivered yesterday. I haven’t opened it yet so now I have something awesome to look forward to when I get home tonight. (Hubby was suspicious why it was so big, and me too actually. It is my and customer’s order and she got 12×12 paper but this is BIG box. Maybe they ran out of smaller ones.)
BIG BOX = lots of fun….they do ship in super big boxes but I am sure that it is filled with goodies that you are just itchin’ to ink up!
I just had a card class a couple of days ago and used this very format – for valentines or anniversary using real red and the Sending Love DSP and a couple of “borrowed” stamps from past Paper Pumpkin kits. I do like to have a fun fold card every now and then. Please keep the tips and inspiration coming!
That sounded like a great card. I am sure that the gals loved it. That Valentines set has been a HUGE hit! Thanks for popping in.
WOW! Both cards are great! I love this fold, Chris R. And Susan, thanks for showing me a stamp set that I was NOT going to buy…..oops, there goes my money again. What a cute card, and using the Succulent paper is great, because that pink and white checkered piece, reminds me of my Mom’s old button can! Nostalgic! Thanks ladies, this is great inspiration.
I knew that many people might think that this is a stamp set that they could pass on….BUT – I think that it is a true classic…..I know that I sure have enjoyed it and next week I have another card using it that I think you will smile with!!!
Susan and Chris R. – Great cards! I’ve been wanting to do this type of card, so now I’m doubly inspired by both of you!
Can’t wait to choose a stamp set to make a fun card!
