Good snowy morning! Yep, the East Coast is getting snow…and a bunch of it!It is so beautiful to see it from the window but the reality is in the “inevitable hour” for me…as I need to bundle up and go down to the barn.
I admit, I am not a fan of snow – but it is what it is and it will pass…just like many things in life that we are not a fan of! Thinking positive, the animals LOVE playing in the snow (except Daisy – pigs do NOT like it one bit) but there is nothing better to see dogs jumping and playing in the snow and horses love it as well…they roll and make HUGE snow angels!
This is what I have for you today, I know that it’s not much but it is something that IS going to happen….like it or not!
Stampin’ Up will be retiring 5 Colors of paper on May 31st.
This happens like it or not but trying to be positive, we might be LOOSING 5 colors that we have grown to love but we will GAIN 5 more NEW COLORS when the New Catalog comes out starting on June 1st.
One thing that happens every year…Stampin’ Up! will sell out of one of these colors and then you get sad. 🙁 The moral of the story is…PLAN AHEAD. You will see in the product line up below I am showcasing the papers in full packs and also in the assortment.

Good morning Susan and yup………I’m in the snow mess today as well. Not bad yet……but it has just started here in western pa.
My most favorite retiring in color is the tip top taupe. I really wish su would make it a neutral …….maybe in the new catty???? And my surprise favorite is the watermelon. It’s like a refreshing color to me.

I would think your favorite is Tip Top Taupe. It’s a classic. As far as which was a surprise, it was Watermelon Wonder. Didn’t expect it would work so well with so many combinations.
I have two favorites – the mint macaron and the tip top taupe. Will be sorry to see them go.
Watermelon Wonder is my favorite just so versatile! We are finally drying out on the west coast with beautiful sprng weather.at least until early next week when rain returns!

My favorite is Cucumber Crush. It is such a refreshing color. We had the snow yesterday. So I know how you feel. Stay warm and have an enjoyable day crafting.
My favorite has been Tip Top Taupe from day one, but the Mint Macaron became a favorite because of how well it would work with so many other colors and dsp.
I have to say my favorite color is Mint Macaron and that is a big surprise to me because I hated that color when they first came out! I like Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe almost as much but I have used Mint Macaron the most. I will be sad to see them go 🙁
Mint Macarone is my favorite. I’m more of a darker, deeper, regal color type of person.
Our snow has turned to sleet, pretty heavy hitting the windows. It has compacted the snow that fell and now it is like 3″ of slush.

was surprised that I like the Mint Macaron til I realized it is very similar to Sage Shadow an all time favorite. Our 48 acres is magnificent in this weather love to look at it…operative word LOOK!

I really like Tip Top Taupe and Mint Macaron but was surprised by how much I am using the Delightful Dijon. I make a lot of “Guy” cards and the Dijon is perfect with the Urban Underground suite from the Occasions catalog. Be safe in this weather. Florence,SC is only getting rain, which is fine with me! I would guess your fav color is the Mint Macaron.
Just a few miles south of you and we’re sunny and crisp today. Not warm but we are above freezing and no snow! I’ve surprised myself on the colors–I’d normally prefer the brightness of cucumber crush (my fave when I first saw them) but Mint Macaron has become my favorite for its softness! TTT is my second fave. Excited to see what the new colors will be!
I am going with watermelon wonder, although each color can make a card depending on how it’s used. I have seen some cards with my least favorites and have said WOW. Overall, I do think for the most part, compared to other in colors, these have been my least favorite.
I have found that I love Mint Macaron. It is such a beautiful soft green color. Be safe!
I think that I have to go with the Tip Top Taupe color. I use it quite a bit since it is a great neutral. Stay safe today.

Here I was kidding Sonny on Jeanie’s blog the other day about beating me to the punch line and here it looks like I am commenting first today and I don’t have anything witty or wise to say. Oh I hope she is not stuck in the snow or without electricity. We had 2-3 inches yesterday that melted and was slushy on the streets and sidewalks but it is ok today. I spent yesterday knee deep (for a basset hound) in paper scraps instead of snow working on a project. I had to “scrap” the first 5 versions as things were not working out right. I was making 15 of the same and I never do that. Anyway, back to the Fav Five, I was really surprised as I love green and I love red. I hardly even used or maybe never used the cucumber crush or the watermelon wonder colors in the asst. pack let alone the markers. I think my favorite is the tip top taupe as one of my favorite color combinations is a navy and taupe. I think I like mint macacron a bit more than delightful dijon but last fall I used a lot of mustard in my crafting as well as on my sandwiches.
I would love to see horses and the snow angels. Can you imagine from seeing them from above? I am going to go out on a limb like the squirrels are here (they are stripping the bark and new shoots off the neighbors maple tree) and say your favorite is the tip top taupe but I could be terribly wrong. I thought for sure my favorite color would be Mint Macaron, but I am now using Tip Top Taupe a lot…it is such a beautiful shade of “brown”. Watermelon Wonder is also creeping up to the top!
I love the tip top taupe from the moment I saw it. But the mint macaron… That took awhile to grow on me, and now it is my most favorite!
I wasn’t too excited about the new colors when they came out, but lo & behold they started to grow on me. And now I will definitely hate to see them go but then there is the excitement of seeing what the new colors will be!! I like Watermelon Wonder a lot, but do use Tip Top Taupe a great deal…..it is a great neutral color. Be careful going to the barn……don’t want another lay up!
Without a doubt, I will be most sad to say good bye to Mint Macaron. It is my favorite in this group, although I’ve enjoyed all the colors ~ even Delightful Dijon, which I hated at the beginning! Stampin’ Up! is so smart to come out with beautiful DSP using these colors and showing how nice they can be when paired with other colors. i.e. Moroccan sold me on Dijon! That being said, they NEED to add Mint Macaron to one of their color families!

It has just started snowing here in Maine…coming down quickly….ugh….My favorite in color is Mint Macaron…love the calmness it gives me when I create with it.
My fave has been Tip Top Taupe….. I use it for everything….. It’s my go.to color and I’m sad to see it go.

Wait! What?! It’s been 2 years already for this line of in-colors?! I’m just getting into a couple of them with some of the DSP pairings (Thank you, Urban Underground, for really making me use up my stack of Delightful Dijon). Mint Macaron has been my favorite since day 1. Not gonna give up using it. Really hope the new colors include a different color that sits on the fence in the color spectrum. For me, MM was green sometimes, sometimes blue, even gray at times, all depending on its pairings. Gotta love that SU can repeatedly pull off something like that. Can’t wait to see the new line up!
Oh my favorite colors are water melon wonder and cucumber crush. They are so pretty together. I will definitely stock up on these colors. Stay warm and dry today

I love them all, but I was most surprised by how much I loved Tip Top Taupe. (so fun to say! LOL) It adds such a great vintage look to cards. I especially love its matching LACE! Yummy! Next favorite is Cucumber Crush, a wonderful green paired with Real red for Christmas. Big surprise! Stay warm and safe! It’s 90* here! Yikes!!!!

I was loving these colors from the first ! I am thinking of just swearing off the In Colors because over the years I have had to wave BYE BYE to some I have loved . I loved the freshness of Cucumber Crush and Watermelon Wonder when they emerged ,but it is hard not to love Mint Macaron ,but it reminds me of how we all loved Baja Breeze and soon it just faded away ….. I agree with most on your choice may be Tip Top Taupe .

Thanks Sonny – too bad I didn’t have anything witty or wonderful to talk about to make it worthwhile. I am very tired tonight and I went to PT for my feet and now they are sore where he was trying to work on the pain site. So, I am not only tired and sort of crabby but sore. Oh well, could be a lot worse. I don’t think I am doing well with the time change either. Tomorrow is another day. Thanks for the smile about the prize, that is pretty good! Sort of reminds me of this goofy LPN or LVN we had in our medical clinic in Houston. The administrator volunteered to buy us all lunch one day. She said she would just take the money instead as she brought a big lunch of leftovers she was looking forward to. She was serious and asked me how much my sandwich cost so she knew how much money to expect. He was just getting us Subway sandwiches – not like it was something really great and expensive!

OH my goodness.. It’s that time of year already? I really love them all. You see I am a true paper hoarder. I don’t even know how it happened. I just looked up at my cabinets one day and there was all of this paper but i do still have my true really down to heart favorites … Like Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder ( oh I drool for Watermelon Wonder) and for the Tip Top Taupe well what can I say it goes with everything!!!!

I like Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder the best but the surprise color for me was Delightful Dijon. To look at it, I just plain didn’t like it, but it sort of grew on me. Still not a favorite, but ….

I was surprised to find that I like Watermelon Wonder the best. It’s a much richer color than I expected. It’s sunny here in northern California. I’d rather have snow. Go figure.
My absolute fave of the retiring colors is Mint Macaron, closely followed by Watermelon Wonder. I find Tip Top Taupe to be a great substitute for Soft Suede (which I do not have). My biggest surprise was Delightful Dijon. I did not like it when it came out…..I still do not like it! Oh, well. you can’t please everyone every time! Thanks for the chance to win.
Will definitely miss Tip Top Taupe, but am pretty sure SU will come out with another great neutral. The color that surprised me the most was Delightful Dijon. It was beautiful last Fall, and paired with white it looks amazing. Thanks for the offering the blog candy.

Of this class of In Colors my favorite is Mint Macaron. Pairs so well with many other colors! I am surprised that I have also taken a liking to Watermelon Wonder as I am very much a “cool” color person.

I was a big fan of mint macaron so much so I had to buy paper and the ink pad. But my ink pad is way darker than anyone else’s (and even the paper) so that was kind of a bummer. I’ve always like Dijon as a color and have lots of it in a non-SU brand. I’m sad to see this color collection go. I’m totally psyched for what comes next though!!!
I liek so many like Tip Top Taupe. Still like River Rock – remember? I like neutrals.

Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder are my two favorite colors that are going away. We dodged the big snowstorm and got a few inches of snow with sleet on top. It is all clear now, but will freeze back tonight. Stay safe and warm everyone.

I really liked the Watermelon Wonder because it’s so bright & cheery. Tip Top Taupe was a surprise color for me. Here in Minnesota we got a little snow on Monday but I’m sure ready for some warmer weather!

I love cucumber crush…the green is vibrant and not like any other color family. Additionally I like watermelon wonder….although I do look forward to seeing what stamping up has coming up for lately they rarely seem to disappoint.
