Happy HUMP Day and I hope that we all are going to have a GREAT day!
I have been kickin’ my heels with gratitude that these past 2 days have been BEE-utiful but we all know, it will not last but heck – I will take it when I can!
My animals are so happy….blankets are off the horses and I think now there is no mud in the fields as it is all over them! The work never ends but they feel great!
In reading the comments on the Birthday Post using the Paper Pumpkin Kit…..there are a BUNCH of you that are like me….I love to make multiple cards of the same ….Here is a tip of what works for me!
I am odd that I seem to like to make even #’s of cards and I usually do 4 cards…
I do like to keep on of them for reference in case I want to make it again, but what I do is use a pencil and write on the back of that card that I keep….who I sent it to – this way if I want to send that last one…..I know whom I have sent it to….simply erase the names and in the mail it goes!
One thing that I think we all seem to do is…..
CREATE…and then have a STACK OF UN-SENT CARDS!
I know personally I am totally guilty of that and last Fall I did a HUGE PURGE of donating them to a variety of places so they will get used!
For me, I simply have to do this as I get so overwhelmed and frustrated with myself.
If they are GONE….I not only feel better but I know that they will get used and bring a smile to someone that is in need of a PICK ME UP! (I get that, we all need that!)
I just checked and that Paper Pumpkin Full Kit is still available and remember, IF you want it….you need to be a current Paper Pumpkin Subscriber and what I would do is just get a 1 month subscription as I do think that the kit this month will be a good one (fingers crossed) as the sneak peek video was great….and then you can simply turn around and unsubscribe – it is as simple as that!
OK….HERE IS THE WINNER!!!! Way to go Alyece and please send me your address so I know where to send the cards and Birthday Bags to! WOOT-WOOT….get up and DO THAT DANCE!!!! SHAKE IT!!!!
One thing that I did forget to blog about is……what I do is CIRCLE the day of the month that the Birthday recipients special day is on or you could also use a small heart stamp and stamp over the date so it will POP out!
I did order another kit as this was so easy and fun to do! I will do another blog post about the other examples that I did as I have had emails about other DSP combinations!
Many thanks to all that left comments as I know that it is super fun to read what others do…as a I a FIRM BELIEVER….by sharing and getting other ideas and inputs is how we learn, grow and let’s face it – stick our heads out and give it a try!
Let’s move on…. the LAST DSP PRODUCT SHARE for the Occasions Catalog! Please EMAIL ME ASAP if you want to snag one of these as I will not be offering them again. They will be mailed out on Friday so be the early bird and get that share!
I have had several emails of people wanting more Occasion Catalog Product Shares! Well….this IS your last chance and I only have (2 to offer to you.)
Are you asking – “WHY JUST 2 ????” well…..truth be told that Stampin’ Up! has several of the ribbons on backorder and there is just no use in trying to offer them when it will be up in the air as to when they come in (and actually fill back orders first) so……with that said – this is what I have for you!
Share #1 – Designer Series Paper – $19.00 ( I ONLY HAVE 3 of these available)
You will get a 1/2 Sheet of Paper (6″ X 12″) in the offerings that are 12″ X 12″ Papers….(there are 5 of them) and then 6″ X 6″ paper in the other (2) DSP’s as they are just a 6″ X 6″ offering. (see *** below)
I take great pride in cutting these papers for you and carefully put them between sturdy cardboard to prevent damage from shipping!

- Floral Romance
- How Sweet It Is
- Happiness Blooms
- Gingham Gala *** 6″ X 6″
- Needlepoint Nook

This is one area that always seems to put that smile on our faces. Little accents add that special touch to a project and I know….I know – we love to get the blings….but we never use a whole pack! Let me help you out! Just like I do in all of my shares….I cut, sort and package so you will have some from the buffet without getting stuffed!
- Heart Epoxy Droplets – 24 in total
- Frosted Flowers – 10 in total….these usually are not my thing but I ADORE THESE sweet and simple flowers!

- Garage Keys – Another hit for this catalog….great for Valentines as you “are the key to my heart” 4 in total
Have a FAB-O HUMP day and I have a super sweet gingham card that will make you smile…the next time I blog! I was super happy with the end result that I went ahead and did that (4) thing that I shared that I do….and made it in different color combos!
I like to make multiple cards too. Sometimes I push myself to make as many as I can to “use up” a certain package of DSP. I keep track of “what” cards I send to whom just so that they don’t get a duplicate. I put this info on an Excel spreadsheet that includes the calendar year’s birthday and anniversary dates.
Good morning Susan! I also make multiples of 4/6/8 cards at a time since I can get 2 out of a single 8-1/2″ x 11″ piece of card stock. Instead of writing the name on the back of the card I keep, I use a sticky note. No erasing! Really love what you did with the Paper Pumpkin card. Thanks for sharing.
Great idea Susan!! I know I am not one to make a lot of one card but once in a while I do! then I do stress about double sending!
1. Congrats to Alyse.
2. Anyone considering the paper shares, go for it. These are the exact two I got in the first round and they are super, great. The papers are beautiful and the embellishments are wonderful and who doesn’t love a little bling!
3. I loved your calendar BD card so much . . . I actually dug out, of my give away box, last year’s PP calendar kit. I figure it is just a calendar and it really does not have to match the day of the year, just a little circle or heart on the date. I too am so happy with this little bit of sunny weather. We have had no snow yet.
Have a blessed day.
Yay for Alyse ! Lucky you !
I want to thank Nancy (above) for reminding me that I also have some calendars from last year`s PP. I did not get around to using them so now I know why !!
I plan on trying the make ahead effort . I send out several swap cards each month so I always make multiples of the same card so I would not do that particular one ,but maybe a variation for future use . I am very fixed on not liking the effort of making a card if it is not for someone I have in mind . Christmas and Halloween are different .
Looking forward to seeing your other calendar cards ,Susan . I ordered the dsp you used on this one because I just love the lavender and polka dots !
Congrats Alyse! Enjoy!!!
Hey Sonny and Nancy are we talking about the 2018 PP or the year before with the calendar that had flowers and all kinds of little pieces to add. I used some of those for cards but not all. I just pulled out the February piece out for this year to make up into a card. I don’t want to get too far ahead in case I fall in love with the ones Susan made. (Yeah, work ahead – me!?!)
Hey Susan…congrats Alyse….way to go! I also make multiple cards (sometimes varied) for that “oops I forgot” occasion. I take pics and store them on my Pinterest page (a certain section that is locked) with the names of who I sent the card too. Can’t wait to see your next card with the gingham. Hugs!
