Woot-Woot….It's a boy! I had a co-worker become an Aunt yesterday and she was sooooo excited as this is the 1st grand-baby in their family! It was exciting to hear her excitement of her new nephew's birth!
Naturally, I needed to whip up a simple card that will make her smile! This is about as clean…simple yet fun as it gets! I know that many of you struggle with using DSP as a focal part to a card, and I think that this post today will make you see that it can work without being distracting!
My goal today for you was to share with you the offerings of the DSP Paper Stacks that I am going to offer to you…but it simply did not happen with getting a Pay-Pal button linked to my blog (remember me…the computer challenged person!)
I adore the stacks…they come in 6 collections – Brights, Neutrals, Regals, Subltes and (2) In-Color and I simply could not be without them! Why? Look at this card, cute right! True, I use them mainly for linng envelopes….to me – they are the PERFECT finshing touch!
Please make sure that you go to my dear friend and PAL, Brian King….he offers the swatches for all of the new Designer Series Papers and does a FABULOUS job! I have already ordered mine form Brian and I am hoping that you will find the ones that I am offering as useful!
Paper ROCKS and it is WONDERFUL to be able to take advantage of product shares…it gives you the opportunity to get a "taste" of the NEW products without purchases all of them!

- The Card is a Note-card size and remember….with the new catalog, you can get this size in Crumb Cake…YEAH!
- The color of the day is Marina Mist! Using the NEW stamp set that will be unveiled a week from today….this gem is appropriately names, Something for Baby and the best thing….it comes in a bundle! YEAH! An instant 15% discount for YOU! This carriage is sooo cute!

- Naturally I needed a sentiment but was not sure how to place it…Looking at the carriage – the light-bulb went off – Teeny Tiny Wishes to the rescue! Using the Versa Mark (a necessity when heat embossing) and then heat embossing it in Whisper White – BAM – cute!!!! No "fussy cutting" needed…matching framelits make it a breeze!

- How can you not resist adding some bling to the wheels! The Brad Bases and the Subtles Candy Dots made the WOW happen. Popping up just the carriage on this card made the card come to life!

- After finishing to this point, I looked at the card and think there was something missing….just a little something to finish this cute card! I cut "slivers" of Marina Mist and framed the card…so easy – yet so effective!
- Last the envelope…carrying out the theme with the DSP…I choose to line the outside of the envelope and WOWZERS – not only easy…it creates a smile for the mail man!

I hope that this has inspired you today – this is soooo quick and easy! One thing that I am passionate about is paper!!! You can see in many of my cards (and this is a great example) that letting the paper be the star – is a great and effective way to go!
Paper is very inexpensive and the POP that it gives you is endless! We are very fortunate that Stampin' Up! takes great pride in making the colors of our paper – the are beautiful and also the quality is amazing!
For those of you that are new to Stampin' Up, you will hear the term "In-Color" – these are colors of paper that are around for 2 years…and next week – there will be 5 new colors of paper to out beautiful collection!
If you are like me, having a holiday on Monday always throws my week off….have a great day and please POP back tomorrow…some super exciting news in store for YOU!
Until tomorrow!

I must admit… this is the first time I have ever used the Hexagon Hive Framelit and once I cranked it through the Big Shot…I was saying to myself – WOW…why have I not used this before!?!?!
Well…hold on tight as you will see it on Friday ( in a different way)as I have already have my posts ready for the week and I think that Friday is a “keeper” just like today is a “keeper”!!!!
Babies are sooooo darn tootin’ sweet and when you need a quick card…I have you covered! This is a fun card that it super easy to do and I used Very Vanilla as I was looking for a softer look!
If I were to do a “boy” card – I would suggest using Marina Mist with the very vanilla and this stamp set has a cute “boy” stamp as well!

Here we go!
- The base is Very Vanilla in the A-2 size but I made is a vertical card by scoring it at 5 ½”
- Using for the 1st time – the Hexagon Hive Framlit I saw an INSTANT tone on tone with the very vanilla that was bringing a smile to my face!

CONFESSION TIME: I surfed the internet on ideas with this framelit and I must admit that I was not totally wowed with ideas as I am not much into sponging and many ideas showed a darker image behind – I just love a tone on tone!

- I used the “green glue” to put the hexagons in perfect place! Too darn cute and easy!
- The Stamp Set was Baby, We’ve Grown…fun, fresh and also super cute for Easter – (that bunny is sooooo cute) I stamped it in Melon Mambo and then used the Chalk Talk Framelit to pop it out!

- Popping it out again in the Pink Pirouette I cut that in half and then punch 2 small holes to add the Melon Mambo 1/8” ribbon to add a bit of bling…easy – fun & done!

- It is time….it is time to make the mailman smile = I did a double whammy …pulling out the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement to the front of the envelope and then using the envelope liner framlit…WOWZER – so cute and done!

TIP ALERT: When doing the envelope…do the right and left side…and then the middle will work out! So easy…and it make a big impact!
- Now to the fun…. simply place Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the “full” hexagons and then use the “left-over’s” on the dimensionals (the straight ones) on the edges…and WOW = what a statement it makes! (When I did the edges…I mean the upper left and lower right corners….do not stress yourself with the tiny frame – you do not need to….the dimensionals behind the hexagons do the trick!)

I do not do a bunch of “baby” cards but I am so super pleased with the end result! This is not only cute…classic and fun but so adaptable for many variety of cards!
I have sooooo enjoyed this card…and I cannot wait to us it for other cards…it is a really – REALLY fun framelit and I cannot wait to continue to play with it!
Please make sure that you pop back later this week because I am showing you a totally different way to use this framlit …and I have some great learning tips for you…(as I learned the hard way)!!!

The snow was here and the snow is gone…I am being positive and I am going to try to fulfill a “bucket list” for me….I am looking forward for the Cherry Blossoms in DC to be in bloom…it has always been a dream for me to go down and take it all in at it’s peak – the time frame is April 8th – 12th…and when I heard that today – I did the "happy dance" as Spring is really going to make it's appearance!
Thanks for popping in today and I hope that I inspired you and made you smile! Please click here to order your products and get guidance and inspiration from me…as you know…I love what I do and I love helping YOU!
Until tomorrow!

Mr. Paul” is my friend…”Mr. Paul” is the best…”Mr. Paul” brightens my day at work and “Mr. Paul“ just had his first Grandchild…a beautiful little girl named Maci!
“Mr. Paul” only has one child, a son, and he has been so excited for Maci’s arrival. Babies bring such joy to the world and this little girl is one lucky girl as she has a very special Grandad!
This clean and simple card could be adapted to so many different sentiments…different themes…and wowzers – some luscious DSP can make this over the top every time
The best tip I can give to you is to look at all of the sentiments that Stampin’ Up! offers…go for the short “one liners” that will give you a bang for your buck…remember – less is best….for this card!
I also would recommend using a very simple embellishment…like a pearl or rhinestone…a simple knot…some candy dots…again “less is best”

Let’s go….this kinda card makes me smile as it is soooo darn tooin’ versatile! This is so easy – you really do not need me…but just in case you to – let’s get to it!
- The base of the card whisper white in the good old A-2 card size but scored at the 5 ½” mark making it a vertical card!
- Before we get to the paper….I went ahead and did my stampin’….this fun “burst” is from the Sale-a-bration stamp set and it can be yours FREE with a qualifying order! It is called the Petal Parade Stamp Set!

- Before placing the simple yet classic basic pearl….I pulled out the stamp-a-ma-jig to get my sentiment perfect….it is from the A dozen thoughts….and this set has a DOZEN of “A list” sentiments that you just need to have!

- The Strawberry Slush is 2 3/8” X 1 3/8” for the top piece and the bottom measurements are 1 3/8" X 1 3/8”
- The So Saffron is 1 ¼” X 2 ¼” for the top and the bottom is 1 ¼” X 1 ¼”

- Easy-peasy……right?!?!?! Now to the envelope….once again….when in doubt – PULL IT OUT….today’s liner is from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack ….I did a simple lining if the outside of the envelope!

Yesterday I had an OVER THE TOP….SUPER DUPER…FUN time at a Washington D.C. gathering of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators…it was
F A B U L O U S
And I came home with some great card swaps that I will share with you later this week….I have LOTS to share with you this week!
I must admit…I am a bit surprised that I have not had a “correct comment” of what is consistent with all of my cards this week…perhaps you should “re-visit” this weeks postings and the 1st one that gets it…will win a goodie…. (and you will like it)…
Come on you "regulars"…I know you can do it – it il be fun to see who gets it 1st!
I will give you a hint…something that I am passionate about and something that I believe in! (last hint…it is a specific product!)

Please email me if you have any questions! I love to try to help you reach your goals! The one thing that is soooooo common with each of us is…we have a passion for paper crafting and making a difference to others!
Have a great Sunday and until tomorrow!

Happy Weekend to everyone!
WOWZERS….what a difference 24 hours makes! It was 43 degrees here today -is that crazy or what! The sad part is….we still have a TON of snow…..but I am being positive!!!!
Many thanks for all of your comments…I do enjoy them and I do try to respond to them but it made me laugh about the donkey….he really does not like me….we have this love/hate relationship and I truly do not get it… he is a babysitter to Arnold…an old 28 year old retired show horse and they have been having a slumber party together most of the week….he should be doing the donkey "happy dance"
I think why he does not like me is that I make him do a job every year….his "Nativity Scene" duty and he does a great job….I go visit him but I think he holds it against me that he has to "hang out" with 2 sheep and a bunch of "Nativity Stuff" for a month! Arnold has several bad days when he leaves….but he gets over it!
O.k. – enough with that darn donkey…..let's get to why you are here!
Can you say S I M P L E …..and to me, simple works today!
(simple works for me everyday)

You really do not need me for this card….as it really is simple…BUT – it is the type of card that you can duplicate over and over again…..remember earlier this week I told you about having a card…"just in case"??? Well this is one of them!
The base is the Notecard and Envelope – my all to go-to! The color of choice for the day is Marina Mist….so clean and crisp! The size of this is 4 3/4" X 3 1/4"!
The whisper white is 3 3/4" X 2 1/4" and this card goes to show you how important it is to keep your ink pads well inked! WHY??? When you have an image that is a "flat coverage" like this elephant…you really need to have a good ink coverage!

The Stamp-A-Ma-Jig was my friend for this card….I know….many of you are thinking – "I do not like that thing" – well THAT THING IS THE BOMB……it is so easy once you give it a chance!
Woot-Woot…I only used 1 stamp set for this card….and it is the Zoo Babies Stamp Set…and it is soooo cute!

A "Susan stitch" was the border to the stamped image….this time I did a Dash-dot-Dash-dot….works for me – try it….you'll like it!
The envelope was a no-brainer for me….I ADORE polka dots….to me they are like baloons – they make me smail…..and I adore the Polka Par Parade Designer Series Paper! Fun…Fun…FUN!!!!

Again, this card is soooooo easy but easy works! Don't try to stress yourself out but making things hard…less is best….and less works!

I hope that you have enjoyed this "SIMPLE" card! "SIMPLE" works for me…….anything that gets the job done but still creates a WOW factor….I love!
Please POP back tomorrow as I have a super fun post for you! I am excited for the the weekend…and I promise, I will try to get the donkey to "like me"
Until tomorrow…..

Great news for our family! My husband is getting out of the hospital tomorrow…so I thought that this card was quite appropriate for him today as…he "made my day"
Also…I was able to accomplish another task….this card is my take on the color challenge for the Pals Paper Art challenge…this week is a color challenge and I highly urge you to play along as well! What do have to loose….nothing – and it's fun…check out all of the great cards with this fun color scape!

Right now, Stampin' Up! is also having a promotion…the Butterfly Bundle Promotion where you can get both the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set and the Bitty Butterfly Punch together as a set and save 15%!!! I adore being able to buy in the bundles…everyone likes a bargain!

Here is the low down on the card…I hope you make it as it's a keeper! Play around with color on this one…change the sentiment….it could be for so many different occasions!

- The card base is a note card size 3 1/2 X 5 in Very Vanilla
- I cut another piece of Very Vanilla just a bit smaller…3 1/4 X 4 3/4
- The Baked Brown Sugar piece is a "smidge" larger…I always use the Stampin Trimmer so if you want an exact measurement – it is 3 3/8 X 4 7/8(all you want is a peek of color to make the pop happen!
- TIP ALERT: remember a couple of posts ago I shared with you ways to save paper…well – here is a great example…I popped out the hexagon punches from the inside of the piece…no one ever knows as you adhered them together!

- Sentiment time….don't you love it! Hands down…I get more comments over this stamp set as it is sooo overlooked in the catalog! It is called A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set, a true keeper and must have for simple card making!

- Envelope time! because stampin' up! does not have the note card size envelopes in Very Vanilla…no worries – the Envelope Punch Board to the rescue! This is not only sooo easy, I love the fact that the directions are right there, very easy to see and follow! For a 31/2 X 5" note card, you simply need a 7 1/4" square and make your 1st punch and score at 3 1/8"!!!

- The liner is from the In Color Designer series Paper Stacks….another must have in all colors! How did I measure this? Well…I simply cut a piece of DSP a bit larger than what I needed…adhered it to the back of the flap….used my scissors to trim off the excess and presto! I decided to add a bit of bling to the back side of the envelope as I will be hand delivering – isn't that a cut touch!
Well, that's it for today….I hope that you have enjoyed this and I would highly recommend that you CASE away! If you think that you will only use the punch and not the bundle…no worries – the choice is yours …click here and order your goodies today!
Yesterday I slipped in a post in the middle of the day about the Clearance Rack…..please go and check it out…there are many great products and they will go fast! By the time I typed up my post the 12 X 12 paper was sold out!
This has seemed to be a L O N G week for me and I am thankful that John will be coming home! I appreciate everyone's well wishes and I apologize that I have not been better in answering your comments…I truly love to do that as I appreciate YOU taking the tome to leave me a comment!
As always, I am an email click away and I appreciate you!
Until tomorrow…

At a glance, this card looks like it would be a bit complicated or should I say "time consuming" but actually it was not! As I break down the steps for you…you will have that "light-bulb" go on and see that this is actually a simple card to make!
The inspiration for this card is when I went over to one of my super fun customer's house and she was showing me some of her masterpieces…I look at one and said - "What color is that?"…Rose Red! I immediately thought WOW – this is beautiful…why do I not use that color? So this is exactly how I received my inspiration…
Before we get into the "how to's" another question that I get asked often is…"where do you get your ideas and inspirations from" well…most of the time I think about who I need to send a card to and what type of card that would be. I also try to look at stamp sets that I have not used lately to show you something different!

I knew I needed a card for my friend Caren as her only daughter just left to her 1st year at college and is missing her terribly! Caren adores flowers and I thought she would get a huge smile opening up this beautiful card!
- The Flowers came from the super popular Stamp set, Secret Garden! Not only is the an "A list" set…and it comes with matching Framlits to make exact cuts each and every time! A big Woot-Woot!

- I used the Rose Red ink and stamped and cut out 6 of them. After finding the center of the card, I adhered the middle flower and then the sides! I also drew a Always Artichoke line all around the border of the card for a simple interest to the card!
- To the other 3 flowers, using my paper snips I cut in each petal towards the center and then pulled them forward a bit and using a mini glue dot….BAM! The sweet touch of a Neutral Candy Dot was the perfect finale for each flower!

- The "leaf" part I just used the framelits and cut them from the Always Artichoke Paper. Knowing that I only really needed the 3 leaves on the end, I cut the others off and tucked them here and there!
- TIP ALERT: my flowers were really adhered down – I simple used my paper piercing tool to gently life an area to get the leaf under…worked like a charm!

- I knew I needed a sweet sentiment and after looking through the catalog….the stamp set, My Friend, spoke to me….perfect choice! Using the brush ends of the pens…I inked them up and stamped it on this sweet card!

I know that this will brighten Caren's day! It is fun to make some know you care. Too many times we rely on the computers, texting and the phone…but a handwritten note and a mailed card really means the world to the recipient!
The bigger bonus is that YOU took YOUR time to not only think of them, but YOU made the cards with your own hands! PRICELESS!!!

Thanks for popping by – tomorrow I have a super quick and easy Halloween treat for you! These gems come together in no time! I started to make some up for my daughters dorm! (getting a jump start)
