I know we hate change…but there are times that change is just inevitable! I love this card – it stands up to everything I do and believe in – clean, simple and soooo easy!

I know by now you have received a ca-zillion emails about the FREE SHIPPING ( and yes, it ends today so what the heck are you waiting for)
Below is a super great image for you to visually see the changes that we are doing! Thanks to fellow PAL, Kerry Bray, for creating and generously sharing this image! I just LOVE being a PAL and would love for you to be on this wonder ride with me! The support, networking and simple inspiratons are endless! ( please click the image to see it better)

This card is featuring some of the colors that are being retired….I thought it would be fun to showcase some of them this week….don't be sad…change happens and it doesn't mean that you cannot use them….it is just that Stampin' Up! has a vision that we need to trust and embrace!
This card is such a "Susan" card….simple! The stamps I used were Easy Events ( on my "A" list) and the sentiment is from Delightful Dozen…If you have the Easy Events you might be saying….that is not the sentiment under the tree! Well, YOU'RE RIGHT! I masked it…inked it up with Black Staz On and then peeled it off to get the tree perfectly as I wanted it!

Next – Out came the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig ( another "A" list)…and I used the sentiment from the Delightful Dozen to get it right where I wanted it and ….BINGO-BANGO…..mission accomplished!
Using the Aqua Painters ( making me feel like an artist) I used some of the colors that are going " bye-bye"…Certainly Celery, Riding Hood Red and Not Quite Navy… trunk is not leaving – Soft Suede! This simple water coloring is so simple!
Out came "Mr. Big Shot"… – he had a quick affair with the Window Frame Framelits to cut the perfect shape and then I used the next larger size to frame it!
Next came the Stampin' Piercing Mat and tool to make the WOW happen using the "every other" The Paper -Piercing Tool creates a clean and simple effect! Wow – RIGHT!!!! Do you see..Wow can be simple! I then used a sponge with the Certain Celery to give the edges a finishing touch!
I did use the WaterColor Paper, and I must admit – I do use it everytime I use the Aqua Painter as I want it to always be perfect – why would you do all of this to have one thing not work out? It always turns out perfect! The painted imagie always lays flat!
Now a card would not be a card without a liner….RIGHT! The handsome and classic Stripe came from the Regals Designer Paper Series!
As always, I am an email away and I love your comments! Please take advantage of this free shipping….great time to get the basics as we all know the new catalog will be around the corner! I love what I do and I love helping and inspiring you!
Until tomorrow…..

Clean + Crisp = One Cute Card!
I know…..I know….who WON the BLOG CANDY from my 50th post!!!! I promised you that I would tell you this morning…but 1st – lets look at today's card!!!! ( ha-ha!!!!)
I just think the Elephant is sooooo darn cute! Last night when I was looking through my designer paper I came across this Elephant paper from the World Spectacular Designer Series Paper and I thought …now this could be super cute for a masculine card or also used with the Sale-A-Bration Patterned Occasions Stamp Set!
I wanted to showcase this little guy and I knew if I did them in a row – I would need the Stamp-a-ma-jig (I know…I can see the majority of you now saying….I do not know how to use this thing)…well – again, if I can do it – YOU can do it! The best advice I give you is practice – practice – practice! Within a matter of minutes you will say – this was easy!!!

A couple of tricks here….First I used the grid paper that we sell ( again, on my A list) as it makes lining up projects…jotting notes about the project you are working on so easy! I drew a line with pencil 1/2" up as my guide! I then stamped an image with the Stamp-A-ma-Jig to get the right spot! Next, I masked the sentiment and the flower with a piece of sticky note and then inked up the Elephant stamp up with Black Staz-On Ink…peeled off the sticky notes and stamped away! Perfect…right!

Now to add a bit of fun I pulled out the Dotted Scallop Border Punch and punched away – Just LOVE the effect it gives! Another "A list" tool that is just an absolute must is the Stampin' Trimmer – it is the ONLY way that I could have made just a sliver to on top of the Scalloped Punch!
Where did the "hearts" come from – the Owl Builder Punch! ( Personally I have never been a huge fan of Owls but I will say this punch is incredible with all of the different things you can make out of it!!!) I did the same technique with the sentiment on masking and then POPPED it out with the Window Word Punch…too easy again!
Now a couple of ?'s you might be asking yourself….
- How did she get that teeny tiny strip of So Saffron on the border = Tombo Multi Purpose Liquid Glue! This is my new "go to" adhesive for several reasons…..it is super inexpensive ( $3.95) and it is super strong!
- What color of paper is this card = Sahara Sand! This is the 1st time I have used it as a base of a card and I LOVE it! To me it complimented the liner of my envelope! Speaking of envelopes – we do not have Sahara Sand envelopes….sooooo darn easy – just make one yourself! Presto!!!
- A ? I get asked all the time…..how do I seal my envelopes as I always line them = 2-Way Glue Pen…BINGO-BANGO…..I probably have 6 of them floating around the house as it is so easy to use and it really seals them tight and for $3.50….how can you go wrong!!!
- Remember, I am a click away for you to order your products and have them delivered right to your door!It simply could not get easier than that! As always, please fee free to email me anytime!
-

NOW FOR THE WINNER……My Dear husband John picked it …..and he picked #33! When I asked him WHY? – the Accountant in him came out….
3 (March)+ 17 (St. Patrick's Day) + 13 (for 2013) = 33
...and the lucky winner is…..Debbie
Here is the wonderful comment she posted:
Thank you for sharing. You've encouraged me to look at the chipboard
& Bigz alphabet. I would love to see a video or step-by-step
instructions of how this was done. Did every letter of the alphabet set
get cut out, then you chose the letters you needed?
Thanks, Debbie
Answer to Debbie's question – No…I simply cut 2" X 2" pieces of the chip board and then just ran through the letters I needed to spell L U C K Y! Super easy and no waste!
I truly appreciated each and every comments! Thanks for taking the time to read my Blog!
p.s. – One of my next "to-do's" is to do some video's…just need my kids to come home from college to help me get going!!!!

This card is for YOU…a super special "Thank You" from me in being a HUGE inspiration to me with you unending comments and inspirations you have given me with my blog and Stampin' Up! projects!
This past week has been WOW!!! The traffic and wonderful comments & emails to me from the Blog Hop have truly touched me…I THANK YOU!!! Being a part of the PALS group is wonderful, what a great group of fun and inspiration all within your computer!!! Sounds funny to talk about cyber friends ( I really am not a cyber nerd!!!!)

The Mixed Bunch Stamp Set is the magic to this card! Isn't it just fun and fresh! Just love that you can have a punch right at your finger tips that will make you look like a pro…the Blossom Punch does the magic for you! That little stamp that I have used in this card…it is perfect to use as a "filler" when you need one…simple!!!! ( I have it on my blog banner)
This is another set that is on my "A List"….so versatile! You have
heard me say about an "A list" – this is why you need to be a Stampin'
Up! Demonstator…..your "A List" will always be complete cause' you get
it at a discount or better yet you could actually get it for free. I
would love for you to be a PAL of mine…so easy…and do you know well over 80% of demonstrators are demonstrators because they just want to buy the product! That certainly was me!

The sentiment is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set, this has a fun flair to the curls and frills of the typeset! It cannot be anymore straight forward than this! The colors I used were Raspberry Ripple and Pretty in Pink….I just LOVE pink – what a fun color and it reminds me of my beautiful daughter!

After doing the Stamping and punching….I added a special touch of a flower brad ( too cute, right!) then all I needed was the Stampin' Dimensionals ( of course!!!) Lifting up really adds dimension and it totally makes it so from super super – to WOW CUTE!!! Wouldn't you have a huge smile on your face if you opened this up! The finale is the Polka Dot Paper from the Subtles Paper Collection….

Another big WOOT-WOOT to the Blog Candy Winner! Margaret M was the lucky winner and I cannot wait to do more Blog Hops and Blog Candy give away….to YOU , my loyal and inspirational friends! Until tomorrow…..a big and warm thank you for making me smile! I love and appreciate you comments!

Isn't this a sweet card! The title of the Stamp Set, Easy Events…says it all – and I think it's a keeper! It uses 2 of my favorite things – using Mr. Big Shot and being able to "water-colorer" using the Aqua Painter Pens – It truly makes me feel like Picasso!!! Isn't it fun and cheerful!
Breaking it down, I needed some cute thank you's so this stamp set screamed to me as I always love the simplicity of it! Using the Black StazOn Ink and I stamped in on our Water Color Paper. I know you can totally use the whisper white card stock we have but I think the end result of using the watercolor paper is perfect! It lays perfectly flat!
Using the Aqua Painter Pens I water colored in the flowers to give it that special punch! After coloring, I punched the image out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch then using a sponge, I soften the edges of my images but lightly sponging with Crumb Cake, just to pull it all together! I wanted the real red to POP out so first I ran it through the big shot and using the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, I gave the bold effect - a WOW factor!
I knew that I want the effect of another strong color so I felt the Lucky Limeade was the perfect choice! Tying in the Island Indigo with our envelopes liner I thought it would be fun to jazz it up a bit and pull out the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch ( I forget about this little gem) ! The perfect finishing touch to add the pizzazz I needed!
The final touch was punching a hole to the right of my image…threading some whisper white taffeta ribbon through it and tying a simple knot ( remember – I am bow challenged and I actually like the look of a knot!) then adhered this entire piece over top of the Red Red/Crumb Cake base!

Naturally, I popped it with some dimensionals as a card would not be a card without a little "lift" and then lined the envelope with that fresh and fun print from the Summer Smooches Designer Paper! TIP: I really like using the Tombow adhesive when putting down things like the punched scallop piece of paper – a little goes a long way and it is just easier I find than using the snail!

Hopefully today's card inspired you to whip up some cute and sweet thank-yous! It's just as easy to make up several when you are taking the time in the first place! I try to keep a stash of a variety of cards with me…"just in case!!!" but remember the stamps! Please email me or leave me a comment and let me know how you like this card! I think it is really sweet! Sale-A-Bration is winding down…March 22nd will be here before you know it! Have a wonderful day!

This is about as straight forward as a card can get….can you say easy-peasy!!! This is super quick! Today I realized that there are single stamps that Stampin' Up! are offering only until the end of March! There are some really great stamps and this is the only time you can get them……so – the moral of this story is… shop and click away!

This card is the basic layout that I did a couple of days ago with the cupcake – I basically just stamped the simple "hello-hello" in Midnight Muse and beause it was such an odd shape…I thought what the heck – just freehand it! I matted it on Crumb Cake…freehanded that as well – slapped it on with dimensionals….popped a couple of pearls = DONE! Well not quite – I looked at it and felt ot was a bit boring so I just added piece of Crumb Cake Ribbon + a simple knot = the finished card! – BAM!!! If you have not purchased the Print Poetry Paper….BUY IT….the colors and prints are too die for!!!!!

Here are a couple of the single stamps that are available! Sorry – I was having "Susan computer difficulties" and could not figure out how to download all if then nice and neatly….so please go and click here and you will be guided to all of them! There are some real keepers and remember they are only here until March 31st!

by Susan Itell | Feb 23, 2013 | Thank You

I was in the need of some Thank You notes so as I sat down I thought…darn I wish it would be warmer….so looking through my stamps – the Spring Sampler jumped out and said….me…me…ME – and of course I needed a sentiment and the "A Word for You" always has fun and fresh sentiments to complete your card!
Well I think this is one cute card! I was looking for something that was quick and fun and also something that did not have a lot of fuss! I do not know about you…but polka dots make me smile…just like balloons do and just like my kids do!
When you break this card down it is very simple…using a ruler as a guide to make a template for your punched out squares makes it a super cinch to be duplicate and when you think of all of the stamps you can use in this style of cards…..absolutely endless!

Who doesn't love "lady bugs"? I call my daughters dear friend "Carrie-Bug" and she is the recipient of this card as she is helping me BIG TIME (no pun intended with the stamp set) this summer at work! A perfect card for a great girl!
In breaking down this card it is super simple! Tools I used were the 1" Square Punch and the Apothecary Accents Framelits…everything else was from the magic of my favorite all time trimmer….the stampin' trimmer you need to have if you do not have one!!!! Click here to order any of these goodies!

I know you know me as the pop up…lined envelope…and ribbon knot queen! That's right…that's how I roll as I like it simple! The 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon is super easy to work with = a win-win for me! This ink that I used to stamp my image is the Staz On Black Ink Pad – another favorite!
I think that this is a super cute card….so cute that I am going to send you the square template I made for making this card if you email me and let me know how you liked it! This is something so basic and doable for all levels….I want to make it even easier in sending you the template…cause' – I know you can do it…especially if I can!!!!
As always, I thank you for stopping by my blog today and until tomorrow….
