I WISH THAT YOU COULD SEE MY FACE….I am frowning as I put a lot of work into the editing of this video and I erased all of the editing……I am soooo bummed as I worked hard but as you will read below – I am NOT getting a Golden Globe for this one – One thing I will promise is NEXT WEEK – you will see a HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!!!! I am determined to do this video thing!

I typed all of the below yesterday as I was waiting and waiting for my video to load to have me be CLICK HAPPY and erase all of my edits!!!! Please come to my pitty party!
Well….I did it – a video for you! I have done videos in the past for my Stamp of the Month Card Kits (but they had a private link as they are really, really primitive) and you have seen me do some product share ones but it is my goal to hit the video trail this year as I have soooooo much to “show and tell” you – I always loved that time in Kindergarten. (Did you SHOW or TELL?) (I can’t wait to read Chris R.’s answer – I know it will be a hoot)
I hope that you like the video and also find it helpful! I think that it is a super fun card and I apologize in advance as I totally realize that I am not going to Golden Globe Award on my video but you have to start somewhere…right? I am determined to share with you my love and details in paper crafting with videos this year.
With water-coloring the BEST TIP I can give you is practice, practice and then practice some more! PLEASE do not throw away anything that you did….I know exactly how I felt when I started with those darn aqua painters and now they are my “blue friends” (I have names for my SU tools). I know that mine are a far cry from an over the top creation but guess what?
I LIKE THEM and when I look at cards I do with watercolor, I AM PROUD OF THEM and then guess what????
I SMILE…..(really, really big) – that’s what it is all about….right?????
Here is the scoop on the card for you to CASE away….and I hope that you do as this is a super cute stamp set! It is new in the Occasions catalog and it is called appropriately, Beautiful Ride….
- The Base is a good old A-2 Card base 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ in THICK Whisper White (once you start with this – YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK!)
- The “ultimate” size of the Water Color Paper is 5″ X 3 3/4″
- The Sahara Sand is 5 1/4″ X 4″
- The colors of ink I used were, Marina Mist, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Rose Red, Basic Gray

I mentioned in the video a couple of products that I ADORE….and I highly recommend them as they work GREAT for what we do – I am ALL ABOUT EASE and when I find something that works for me…of course, I need to share it with YOU!
Micropore Tape – In this packaging you get 12 rolls – you can see that it is super inexpensive….go in with a friend – you will love it!
White Fun Foam –Â As I said in the video I am sure you can find it cheaper but I just love the convenience of Amazon…I usually get things next day! I totally encourage you to try this…I LOVE the feel of the card….you will as well!
As my wonderful son said, “Start small…think BIG” – I just love that saying and trust me, you can switch things up with what you have and I know that it will be an amazing work of art….because it is from your heart!!!!! (Honestly, this is why I became a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator) – to get all of the stuff I wanted and “just had to have” and then I was GONE……well I am still here and I am amazed…..

Good Thursday Morning to you and I had something else planned for you today but I was in the need of a quick Birthday card so the Pals Paper Art Challenge came in super handy today! I think that this layout is going to be my new “Go-To” card as it lends itself to soooooo many DSP and Balloons are always in style!
Today’s challenge is a color one and I know you…YOU CAN DO IT….so why not pull these colors out and have FUN….I would be super proud to see your name and card this week and I can say….I can remember the very 1st time I tried a challenge I was SCARED TO DEATH but once I saw my little thumb nail of a card there….I was both proud of myself and smiling!
This vertical card can be made with sooooooo many different color schemes….just LOOK AT THAT STASH OF DSP you have and take an afternoon and pound out a bunch of these cards….one thing we all have….is a BIRTHDAY – each and every year!
Today’s card I am going to show you the bundles even though I did not use the bundles for this card – but trust me on this one – BOTH of these should be purchased as bundles….WHY???? Easy = saving 15% is great….the products are classics that you will use for YEARS and YEARS….just go for it!
I know that I did not use the punches in today’s card but I think of this set as like the Itty Bitty Accent Punches that I showed in yesterdays card – A MUST HAVE….so why not get them at 15% off! Wouldn’t these be fantastic in a Birthday Shaker Card?!?!?!….hmmmmm……future post!
Let’s chat about this stamp set…..The “Happy Birthday” alone is a keeper – look at the crisp detail of this sentiment….I adore is – you just cannot go wrong with classics!
Now let’s get to the next bundle…. it is another “keeper” – DARN STAMPIN’ UP! – you do this to us ALL OF THE TIME! I have been really…REALLY wanted a realistic and perfectly sized balloon….and YEP = we have it not!
One thing that I adore about these balloons is that you can POP them out and then go over and stamp them. This saves as you can see that the punch will punch out both at the same time! You can also see that there are some FABULOUS sentiments in this set – a total smile factor!
How about that Bakers Twine….WOOT-WOOT – another keeper! I have a NEW TIP that I will share with you that I am LOVIN’ with Bakers Twine…yikes – another post! I will say the Craft Scissors are the KEY to making ribbon cuts look great….EVERY TIME!
The Designer Paper is a KEEPER and WOW – it has been popular! I agree, it is a great basic DSP 12 X 12 stack that covers it all and more! I WILL be offering another Product Share…..so if you missed the 1st one – you will have another chance!
You can see that using (2) different prints from the stack work! Birthdays are so fun – you know that your “work of art” will make them smile….I also used multiple layers…some balloons were flat – some were POPPED up….and one was DOUBLE POPPED UP!
This below picture I think is my favorite – a clean, simple & classic card that will take you from BIRTHDAYS to BIRTHDAYS! In summery, you cannot go wrong with either bundle. I would definitely purchase a bundle with both of these….not only will you earn Sale-A-Bration items.….but you will be SET – as you are purchasing timeless products as I have said before…

Good hump day to all! I was a total “Silly Susan” and totally forgot to sign up for the PALS BLOG HOP….it truly feels soooooo weird as you know that I am always game for a hop! Darn those Holidays…..get you every time! I do hope that you find the trail and HOP-HOP-HOP away! Just love all of the talent out there!
Today is a SUPER SIMPLE card….that also “just happens” to be ON SALE…..so that should bring a SMILE to your face! Darn, I just love that Stampin’ Up! offers weekly deals every Tuesday and HANDS DOWN, my pick of the week is this stamp set….Something to Say! It is 25% off and if you do not have this one…you need it…Simple as that….period!
WHY???? There are some fabulous sentiments and you can cover just about any cards that you need to make….remember, keep it simple – it will work – it will make you happy!
I will say that the accent pack that coordinates with it is also a MUST HAVE…..I use them ALL OF THE TIME….and by all means, not just with this stamp set! Stars, hearts and flowers are always a perfect “fill in”!
You really do not need me on this one…..but you can see how simple and clean it is – this card does not necessarily have to be for Valentines….it can be of a “just because” I do not know about you….but I can say as I have “grown in age” it becomes easier and easier to say “love you” – not only to my family…but to my dear friends…
The “go-to’s” to me. the Whisper White Note-cards and Envelopes made this card some together in a snap! I love that they are already cut and “ready to rumble” for a clean and simple card as after all….TIME is the one thing that we all seems to get in our way!
You can see that I masked off part of the sentiment as I just wanted those 2 words, “love you” to set the tone of the card! The faint lines in the hearts make it so sweet and a quick punch – WOW…easy & done!
I know that you are “with me” with lovin’ the DSP Paper Stacks in the 6″ X 6″ size and the Love Blossoms is a true keeper for this time of the year, but also for many occasions! It is KEY that these stacks have small prints as there are sooooooo many things that you can do with a small print! (small prints are our friends)

Good Tuesday to all….last night I sat in bed reading the amazing comments that were left on my blog and email from yesterday’s post! I sure hope I had enough moisturizer on my face as I was smiling from ear to ear! You all are A M A Z I N G and I invite you to have YOUR JOY TANK filled by reading through all of them – there were some real keepers and I am super proud of all of you for sharing!
Before we get to the winners I want to share with you again the fun card that I shared with you yesterday – as promised, I will be doing a video on this later this week but to me, this card brings me joy as it reminds me of soooooo many different things in my life!
I loved how so many of you love what I call, SIMPLE JOY….I think that comes so easy for those of us that already like to create with our hands…that in itself is a gift, a joy and it is fabulous that YOUR works of ART do bring not only the recipient but to you as well…..I say that is a HUGE WOOT-WOOT to us!

p.s. – I can hardly wait for July to get here….as Nancy and I are going to meet in person as she is driving through my area….I am sooooo excited….and also – I am super lucky as Nancy is on my team – I love the fact that we have never met face to face but the love is there!!!!
YEAH for VICKIE!!! I totally agree with you as 2 of my children live in different states and there is never a time that a tear is not in my eyes when I see them drive down our lane. It is funny, now the tears are totally joyful ones as I see how they have grown and become such independent and kind young adults.
Way to go ladies….please shoot me an email with your address…(well I know Nancy’s but it is always a joy to hear from her)…..thanks for sharing. When I was reading some of the comments to John he smiled as well and then said, “It really is great that the connection you have with your cyber friends is so rewarding” – IT IS….I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Happy…Happy Monday to all! I am so happy as I am coming home from a fabulous weekend with some AMAZING women to celebrate a dear friends 50th Birthday! It simply could not have been any better and it was a battery charger that I soooooo needed…..in short, my “JOY TANK” is filled to the brim!
When I returned home late yesterday afternoon I naturally played with the dogs…checked the horses (and made sure Daisy was ok as no one else really cares for her)….we are already in Tax season so John was at the office and after I made my rounds I headed upstairs to make 15 cards for my friends!
The whole way driving home I was thinking of what card to make…and YEP – I think I nailed it! I know that they are going to love it and I truly do not mean to bore you but I feel so incredibly lucky to have these women in my life! (I truly think I could do a whole week of posts of our 48 hours together) as it was the best!
I am going to shower you with a bunch of pictures but I am going to do a video on this card this week so you will see the FULL scoop later on this week. I really want you to understand and see me do a card with water-coloring…..I think that you will see and also agree that I am NOT an artist at all and that YOU can do this type of card!
Seriously, it is such a rewarding technique to do as you feel like you are doing something super special and the end result IS SPECIAL! Remember, you know me well enough by now….throw all inhibitions about water-coloring out the door…as I will show you how easy it is and also share with you tips and trick to MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Now to the BLOG CANDY.….as I have been away…. I honestly can not wait to sit down and read your comments from the weekend (hopefully I have some comments to read) but on Thursday I asked you what was your favorite Stamp Set from the Sale-A-Bration catalog….I learned a bunch and now I know what stamps sets that are “HOT ONES” in your eyes!
