Oh Christmas Tree….Oh Christmas Tree…..(I have told you before, I cannot carry a tune but keep on singing) I made this card last week for you but did not have a chance to share it. Let's dive in as it is a fun technique that is an easy WOW!

The base is the thick white card stock and once you are used it, you will never go back! It is just wonderful and my fingers are crossed that they will out in Vanilla as well!
Another piece, 1/4" smaller and then a quick run thru the Big Shot with the FUN Polka Dot folder which in turn gave the punched out circles from the Kraft Corrugated Paper – SUPER FUN as it gives a card a fun interest but great depth!

Hang tight before you adhere….as do not do what I always do, JUMP THE GUN and forget to adhere the ribbon! I used the tear & Tape to hold it in place and then using a glue dot to adhere the simple bow. The linen was a special touch for the special time of the year!

Now to the part you really want to learn. Hang on as it is ridiculously easy. The small one is very straight forward but the larger one is TOTALLY FUN!
I stamped (3) of the same tree on both the front and the back. Having framlits is a huge time saver and also it is a HUGE help that this stamp set is a photopolymer.
Fold the tree in half and give it a great score to get a great edge. I took a piece of tear & tape along the seam of where I folded it and snuggled it in on the tree.

To mail this, all you need to do is flattened it and it will slide right int he envelope and then when you pull it out of the envelop, you will see that it pops back up! (I think the key is the great crease)

I think that it is a super cute card and you could have some real fun with different colors and leave the polka dots out. I think that this would be super elegant using very vanilla and vanilla dots….and even the trees and perhaps adding some glimmer to the trees.
Having a monochromatic card is always a classic! Anyway you do this would will be a smile factor card and the recipients will think that it is super fun that the tree pops open!
Feel free to email me…looks like we are to be getting the rain today on the East Coast….great time to stamp!

I knew that I loved this stamp set, You're Sublime, but I even love it more today as "Mr. Frog" is so darn tootin' cute! The idea was inspired when the wonderful "Chris R. from Iowa" sent me a link to a card that she knew I would like and YEP, I loved the concept!

Please see the post that SUD, Robin Messenheimer did with "Mr. Frog" that gave me today's inspiration! I needed a couple of thank you notes to get out so why not make the recipients even smile even more when they see this adorable little guy!
Where did that hat come from? Is was from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit….I still think that this was the BEST kit that has come thru the Pumpkin Patch in a while but don't worry…I can also see antlers from the Wonderland stamp set on "Mr. Frog"

I have a big smile on my face every time I look at this card as I am typing this up for you! The overall size of the card is a 4 1/2" square and the designer FUN Polka Dot paper is a 4" square with the black just a "smidge" bigger!

The circles were made from the SPEED TOOLS – the circles framelits! Can you image trying to cut out a perfect circle! My Big Shot to the rescue each and every time…and then I smile! This is one tool that never ceases to amaze me – it is a MUST HAVE for what we do!

The aqua painters were the FUN factor…if you have not tried them – WHY ARE YOU WAITING? they are fun, they are addictive and the more you play with them, the better and more confident you feel!
The green is pear pizzazz….maybe a different choice but I think that he looks cute! You could have also mixed with the old olive but I tend to like for speed to use just one color (well the real truth is that i do not know a think about the whole shading thing)

The ease of making your own envelopes is so fast, so easy…just the icing on the cake! I am still amazed at how many of you are skeptical of making your own envelopes…..I truly wish that you would email me and I will be glad to help you! It is like learning to ride a bike….once you have it – you have it!

Are you smiling? He is one cute little frog and I am excited to get him "ALL DRESSED UP FOR CHRISTMAS" and big thanks to Chris R. for sending this nudge my way…..she just knew that I would love it and I did!
It is Tuesday, so please click here and see this weeks offerings, remember that these weekly deals are from today until next Monday – thank you ….thank you Stampin' Up! for doing this for us!

Halloween is on Saturday and I know that many of you do not celebrate Halloween but this super quick idea can be used for many different holidays and also…for no reason at all other than to make someone smile!
I like “quickies like this” to whip up in a second and also it Is a great way to use DSP that you have around. Today I am using the super cute Happy Haunting Halloween Paper and I admit, I will be sad to see this leave. It is so cute and how can you not smile with this adorable paper.

Start with a 6” X 6” piece of Paper and fold to corner to corner, (point to point) and give it a good crease, I would definitely use your bone folder.

Fold the left side over and give it another good crease with the bone folder. Place a glue dot under the point to hold it down.

Fold the right side over and do the same thing….a good crease and use another glue dot to hold it in place.

Simply fold down the top piece and do the same… a good crease and use another glue dot to hold it in place. This is super easy and fun to make! (this would be fun to make with kids)

The sky is the limit in how you would want to decorate the front. Today I kept it super easy and used the sweet Happy Halloween Stamp from the Sweet Haunting stamp set.

This stamp coordinates with the Note Tag Punch, I just love that when that happens and then I popped out another to mat it behind for a quick pop of color! (I did take the paper snips to the stamped out image and trimmer it close so you could see the mat)

That is it my friends….EASY isn’t it?!?! They are addictive to make and really takes such a minimal amount of time….I have a bunch on their way to Boston for Will to give something to his class!
These are always a hit and are the perfect size to tuck in some of the Halloween snack size candy in. You could be “Casper the Ghost” and make many smile. When I worked I always snuck them on everyone’s desk before they came to work!
Enjoy this day, let’s all have a great week and until tomorrow!
p.s. – I just had to sneak this picture in – we had a FANTASTIC time with Hannah and her friends at Parents Weekend. My "joy tank" is filled being together and Milo was a HUGE hit! Hannah adored him and he spent one night on campus!!! He liked the college life!

Happy Weekend…happy Simple Saturday! I am the very first to say that the thought of having a “real” snowman makes me shiver! I an not a “winter” person, I think snow is beautiful to look at (from inside of my house)
Today and tomorrows card is using the Snow Place Bundle and this is one that I would definitely get the bundle as there are so many framelits that make what we do – SOOOOO much easier! It is on page 33.

I know, I know….I am being square again and I just can’t help myself as I just love square cards and I know how I feel when I receive an odd size card so it does bring me joy to make them as I know the recipient will love it!
The overall size of this card is a 4 ½” square and then I made the envelope and liner were made with the envelope paper. WOW – this paper is so affordable, a dream to work with and I am doing the happy dance that it is in the Real Red (Holiday catalog, page # 26 , (20) 12 X 12 sheets for just $6.00

Because “Mr. Snowman” has a black top hat on today, I decided use black as an accent color to add the contrast to the real red BUT…the real fun is the Corrugated Paper (page 148 in the annual catalog). If you have not worked with, it is fun.

You get (2) sheets of white and (2) sheets of craft. I realize that this is a product that you might not use a lot but it is something fun to use from time to time as it gives a fun interest! (I think it will be great for snowflakes and also a great accent for Valentines)
Because the sentiment was too long for the space that I had, I simply “fussy cut it randomly” and then matted it on real red….BAM – done! I love this font, actually there are many great sentiments in the stamp set.

Before I adhered the white “fun” paper to the black, I adhered a small piece of the real red cotton ribbon and then used another piece to make a bow and a glue dot to the rescue! DONE!
Did you notice the red enamel dot on “Mr. Snowman’s” hat? These are another keeper and they are found on page 9 of the Holiday catalog. I sure hope that they get carried over once this catalog goes bye-bye but just in case, you bet that I will stock up on some. It is a perfect little accent that adds a subtle and classic bling!

Well….thoughts???? I know to get excited about making Holiday cards but it is really just 2 months away…..YIKES – - please do not forget to send me a Holiday Swap card…you still have time, make one up over the weekend and send it my way.
I have really, really been a good girl and I have not opened up 1 swap card to take a peek. When John brings the mail in and he sees that “Swap Card” is on the envelope – he tosses it in a basket for me (he’s trained well…right?)
He teases me that he cannot believe that I have not opened them at all…why???? Well I know myself well enough – I would look…look…and look and get nothing done – I love to be able to sit down and be surprised and then I love showcasing them on my blog. I am always so proud of each and every one of you!

I hope to see you back tomorrow to see what I did to “Mr. Snowman” – he is just adorable and this is a fun set. I hope that this cute card brought a smile to your face!
Below you will see all of the products that I used for today’s card….if you want to preview it and see more details about it, click on the item and then if you wish to purchase it, you can add it to your shopping cart.
I think that it is great to have this scrolling store as it makes it so easy if you are purchasing items but it is a great source to just preview it and find out all of the specifics! Please feel free to email me…I will be glad to help y

Good Morning! I am super-de-duper excited as John, Milo and I going to see Hannah for her last "Parents Weekend"….our Red Caboose is graduating from college this year ~ wowzers, that is hard to believe!
She is super excited as the girls (she has an apartment on Campus with 3 other great girls) are having all of the other parents over for a dinner….James laughed at that as I was cooking all last night to bring (2) different yummy soups and the other Moms are chiming in to! It will be a fun time!

I thank you for so many wonderful comments yesterday. I was so happy that you enjoyed that card so I changed my plan for today's post to give you another super easy card that I used the watercoloring with the Aqua Painters and I thought I would share with you some answers to your comments.
You know me, I am a simple stamper. I often am asked how do you even start a project?
That is easy, I pick the stamp set and then just let it roll! I hope that the bullet points I have for you will help answer any questions you have, but please do not hesitate to email me if you need further help!
- You can never go wrong with a great single stamp! This one is stellar as you can see how you can easily "mask off" the sentiment and use a different one!

- I used the aqua painter again, but if you are more comfortable with the markers or the blender pens….I say – GO FOR IT….I just like the softness and artistic look the aqua painter gives.
- I use the NEW Basic Black Archival Stampin’ Pad – this is SUPER but I do recommend that you also purchase the refill as you do need to refill it to keep that great coverage.

- Using the Sahara Sand around the focal part makes an INSTANT POP! I wish that you could hold tis card in your hand as it is so pretty on person…..sometimes it is hard to make a picture show the fun!
- I like to use the green glue to adhere the vases….love the "wiggle" it gives!

- Again, using the aqua painter, I went to town quickly to color in the flowers! To get the deeper effect, I simply went over it twice. Can you see how the sahara sand makes the flowers POP forward.

- The candy dots are a perfect accent for a simple card…..I do not use them a bunch but when I do, it is simple – I SMILE. Having "basics" like this helps to bring a project together!

- You know how I feel about custom envelopes...LOVE THEM and the envelope punch board makes us look great each and every time – please feel free to reach out to me if you need help with how this works….I know that when I first purchased it I found it to be fustrating, but it is lie riding a bike, when you get it….you've got it!
I was asked yesterday how I mail the card that had the pearls? Well, 2 ways – an easy way is to take a piece of paper and run it thru the Big Shot and then place that over top as a cover or purchase some super thin foam sheets from Amazon, I find it to be very handy!
I know that I shared with you that I was going to show you a Christmas Card….no worries, you'll see it – I switched it up so you can see again how the Sahara Sand and Aqua Painters work!
TODAY is the LAST DAY for you to take advantage of the
15% discount on all stamp sets…..
Remember, here is the scoop…
I hope that we can "stick" together….so - anyone that places an order of $35.00 thru the 23rdI will send you a pack of Stampin' Dimensionals as a thank you!
If you place an order of $75.00 or more by the 23rd – I will send you both….the stampin' dimensions and also a roll of the Tear n Tape…..WOWZERS – we will REALLY be sticking together! (we always need adhesives)
Please use the hostess code of 2PJK3KQQ to take advantage of this offer!
