Woot-woot….do you know what is this Friday? It is the 1st day of Spring – YIPPEE SKIPEE!!! I am super excited for the post I have lined up for you this week.Today is the day that I throw out a personal challenge and then I will randomly pick one person to win a pack of Stampin' Dimensionsals as well as this fun card!
Please read to the en of this post so you can see how "Caleb" did on his spelling test, remember the word "BECAUSE" – his Mom won the challenge last week.
How do you play? How do you win? EASY – just created a card today and email me your card to be in the running! Todays theme is using up scraps! We all have them…we all hate to part with them – so how about pulling them up and putting them to good use and make a card!

I LOVE this card and it will be a card that I will make over and over again. This is what I would do – if you have a bunch of scraps that color coordinate together, go ahead and make up the "scraps" part of the card and do not worry about the sentiment so when you are crunched for time…you can simply pull one of these gems out and then finish it!
I am getting ready to do a project with some teenagers so I was thinking that this would be fun for them. My inspiration came from watching a video that was over 7 years old but that goes to show you…things still work.
Here are some tip and tricks for you on how I made this card.
- The card is an A-2 vertical card and then the Calypso Coral is and then the white piece that you will build the FUN with is XXX X XXX.
- I suggest that you use (3) patterns of paper that blend well together (I think if you use more it might get too busy). The width of the paper is 1/2" and around 6"

- I used the "green glue" and also the Silicone Mat to do the building. The below pictures will hopefully be helpful to you.

- Just keep going and have fun. Remember to make sure that your spacing is the same. If you come up with some really long pieces, snip them while you are building to use it for a "short" – "fill in" piece.
- The end will look like a mess…but after you trim it away it will be a beautiful masterpiece!

In the product listing at the end you will see the other products used to make this fun card! The shining stars were from the Sale-A-Bration goodies and sadly SAP is coming to an end on March 31st! I hope that this card has inspired you to use your SAB paper or encourage you to think about what you might need for you stash!

For every increment of $50.00, you can pick a FREEBIE item. Before I became a SUD I always used SAB time to stock up of the basics that I used all of the time. You know the staples that you cannot be without!
I hope that you can find some time today/tonight to make a card using up your scraps! I know you can do it, YOU all are the ones that always inspire ME!!!

Do you remember last Monday the challenge was to do a 3-d? You can click here and see the winner and the special and fun 3D that his Mom made. GREAT NEWS – Caleb NAILED his spelling word….(I still think that it is too hard for a 1st grader)!!! WAY TO GO CALEB! Here is the Back of the Tooth Box his Mom made him that he decorated, this will be a cherished item for a lifetime…I just love stories like this!

Below is a picture that I hope that makes Caleb smile…this little guy will always hold a special place in my heart as he loves Jack Russell's….their family lost their Jack Russell about 10 weeks ago and Eddie is our Senior Citizen of the pack – this is where he keeps his "toys" – I was walking by and heard him trying to find a toy….I just had to snap a picture for Caleb!

Have fun making a card with your scraps! Have a great day, feel free to email me and please let me know how you like this card! Let's have a great week!

Hello again, this is the 2nd post I am sending your way today and I do hope that you take a couple of minutes and read its entirety (There is a lot of "scoop" since I went to bed last night)
1. Monday Challenge – Yesterday I received so many great 3-D projects and I adore when you also tell me "stories" about your project and who they are going to etc….I had so many super cute projects from candy boxes, nail file holders, to Top Note Boxes, POP UP cards, a super "fun fold" card ……and more but the random winner was Tricia D.
(What I do is put numbers in a bowl and have John pull out a number -you know that "it's official" since he is a CPA -ha-ha)
Below you will see the (2) 3-D's that Tricia did but I need to share with you the "sweetest" story.
The below project is for Tricia's 1st grader when he came home from school as he was having a tough time with a spelling word…"because" – (heck – that is a hard word for a little guy, what happened to words like boat or play) and she made this in his favorite color…filled with his favorite treat (I soooooo miss those days)

The next one will also touch your heart-strings…Caleb has 2 loose teeth and Tricia is getting her bases covered for when the big day comes….PRICELESS! I hope that you enjoy these as much as I did – I always love going down memory lane and these 2 projects really brightened my day!

I have emails out to other people that summited projects asking their permission to share them on my blog….I hope that they say YES as I know you all well enough, you will love them! You all are winners in my eyes and I am so touched and happy that you found time to have fun yesterday!

Good old Thursday…that means that it is time for a challenge! Today is a color challenge and the minute I saw what it was….ding-ding – the light-bulb went off! I am not Irish but I sure do have friends that love to celebrate this holiday (but boy and….yum – I love Corn Beef and Cabbage)
How about playing…you have nothing to lose want the best thing that you will gain is the fun you will have making a work of art and then seeing it on the Pals Paper Art Website. Please pop over and see what the other super talented design artist came up with!

Here is the palette that we are working with today!

Now you all know that I very, very rarely do anything with MDS as being the computer challenged person I am…I get scared when I go and play with MDS (which is stilly as I cannot hurt the program) but I knew that I wanted to do something for St. Paddy's Day and BAM….there is a great download!

If you have not tried MDS…I say – GO FOR IT -give it a try. You can download a 30 day trial for free and play around and then if you want to purchase any extras – they are super inexpensive. This download is called "Go Green" and it was .95!!! That's right – not even a dollar!
Many do not realize that there is a separate website, My Digital Studio and I suggest you go there and do some surfing around! You will be amazed at how many of your favorite stamp sets are in MDS.

I am determined to do a digital album. I have a super talented downline that does amazing books for her grandchildren, just priceless. This is just a fun place to surf around and PLAY!
Today I decided to do another shaker card. I have blogged these before and I do hope that you try to make one. A great tip I can give to you is that I adhere a couple of the "shake pieces" to the card, therefore when you pieces are down you still see an interesting backdrop!

The gold foil sheets were perfect for this challenge, I used the 3/4" circle punch to adhere over top of the "dots" in the embossing folder – just one plain FUN card! How do you like my shamrock? I just did a quick surgery on a punch from the pansy punch and then the bakers twine pulled it all together!
I hope that you have enjoyed these pictures, I hope that I have inspired you to try a shaker card, I hope that I inspired you to go to the My Digital Studio and check it out! I think that you will be amazed at how many downloads there are.

I have made cards from MDS and had them printed from Stampin' Up! and they were amazing. I just need to go into the trenches and use it for my endless amount of photos! (Does this sound familiar to you?)
We are all in this together…please email me if I can help you and remember, the scrolling goodies that I have used in this card is right below….click and have fun shopping!
Stampin' hugs! Until tomorrow…..

I forgot to email you today letting you know who won the Stampin' Vitamins from yesterdays challenge. Many, many thanks to all of you that took the time to have FUN and make a card.
And the winner is…Cathi Diener and I love what she said…
Here's what I made today! The three "colors" that I don't usually is loosely based on your challenge: early espresso, white craft ink (first time I have ever used it), and DSP (I always want to save it!).

Why is it that we all do this with our DSP….that made me laugh as it is so true – we look at it and say….oh look – it is soooo beautiful but what am I going to do with it…..(does this sound familiar)
You know what I am going to say…..USE IT!
Thanks to all that played yesterday and I already have another fun idea for next Monday! You all make me smile….

Good Thursday to all! Thursday's are a day for another challenge and I do hope that you play along with this weeks Pals Paper Art Challenge as we have a super fun sketch to play with! I just love circles and the minute I saw this sketch, endless ideas popped into my head.
Here is the sketch for today and I hope that you pop over to the PPA Website and see what the designers came up with on their take as well as see all of the other fun concepts that have been entered.

There are so many ways that you could go with this! I wanted to personally stretch myself today and incorporate the (3) elements to be a stamped image, an embossed piece and a sentiment (just something silly that I wanted to do)

Let's break this down…the card is so clean and classic with just a bit of whimsical fun. This stamp set is one of the free stamp sets in Sale-A-Bration….I just love this little bird.

I had fun using the Blendabilities….remember, these gems are so forgiving to even the beginner stamper….they just glide onto the image and the fun thing is….just have fun and keep blending and blending – you'll be so proud of the end results.
The colors I used today were the Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi.

Lifting each of these piece up makes the card have that POP factor as well as I love just using the circle framelits and the Big Shot – quick and easy to run the piece of white with all 3 circles and presto – DONE!
I know that I use DSP a bunch on envelopes but today I wanted to challenge myself to use it on the "front" of the card in a focal way…this is from the Moonlight DSP paper stack – (just love these stacks)

Remember that when you use the blendabilities that you need to use the memento ink pad with them and if I were you….I would also purchase a refill as there is nothing more frustrating than needing to refill a pad to find out that you do not have a refill handy!
Below you will see that I also added the fun to the front of the envelope! This is super fun to do but remember to add a piece of scrap paper down the envelope front so the blendabiites do not bleed through your envelope.

So…a fresh and fun card….right? These Sale-a-bration items are just great this year and remember, for every $50.00 you spend…you can pick a FREEBIE….that in itself deserves a woot-woot! Here is a picture of this fun set I used today!

Please look at the scrolling items that I used today and you can click right on them to order! I am an email away and remember, for every order I receive this month I will send you this super cute card…..
It's hard to believe that it has been 7 weeks since I broke my ankle…I go back next week for an x-ray and I am hoping (fingers crossed) that I can start to put weight on it!
Thank you for your time and thank you for making others smile by creating cards!

Good Tuesday morning! Well…we have snow…it is cold…it is pretty – but it is snow! I still cannot image what my "peep" in Boston is dealing with and all of the other area in the New England States, please be safe and guess what – it's a GREAT time to stamp and work on projects!
Today is a day that I am sharing with you more "Works of Art…from the Heart" that were sent to me. (I also received some amazing valentines – and I will share them another day as they were super cute.) Please enjoy this parade of beauties and please pop back tomorrow as I am going to CASE one of these cards!
This is one clean and classic card! The colors are sooooo striking together and Elisha heat embossed the stamping – stunning….!!!

This card just makes me smile…every time I hear the state of Hawaii….I think of Sandy….when I receive an email and she always says "Aloha" …I smile! Love the crisp and fun color…

This card was sent to me from Linda and I just loved the simplicity of it and just had to share it with you. Sometimes I think we forget about goodies in the big catalog once the Occasions came out…this thank you is one of my all time favorite thank you sets!

A BIG smile came on my face when I opened this. I love the BOLD color as I think it really sets it off. Shaker cards are always such a WOW and they just make you feel special as you shake the fun around….love it!

Linda is a Pal and one talented lady. I look up to her in many ways and I was so touched to receive this card from her. This is probably easily in my top 10 stamp sets in the Big Catalog, just adore these flowers !

Well I hope that these brought a smile to you! There is so much talent out there. Wouldn't it be wonderful for all of us to get to meet each other in person and create….create…share…share….and just have FUN!
Please click here to see the weekly deals that Stampin' Up! is offerings. Remember, you will get 25% off of these goodies….Oh my…this is a tough one as for my weekly pick – it's a toss up between the In Color DSP as I use these ALL THE TIME for envelopes and the Pansy Punch….that is another keeper….hmmm – maybe I should whip up a card with these!
Please pop back tomorrow as it is a special day for me, it is my Dad's 84th birthday and I think that you will like his card that I made!
