Need a super cute Valentine? Well, I think I have one for you today! This little fox is just adorable and just look at how classic, cute and just FUN this is!
I only had a couple of sheets of the hearts paper so I needed to think how could I maximize this paper to make as many cards as I wanted! Later in the post you will see the measurements that will make sense to you for my reason of stretching my papers!
I decided to play along with a challenge, The Paper Players….so I invite you to pop over to this site to see some Valentine inspirations! I am always in awe with the talent out there!

I will break this down for you in case you wish to CASE it. I did use an extra layer of white paper but you could easily eliminate that step but I adore paper and to me, it makes it when you hold a “solid” card in your hand!
I knew that the ‘Peeps” would love the traditional Real Red but this is where you can have fun with this little guy…make him whatever your heart desires!

I love pictures like this so you can see the angles of layers. It goes back to that thing we talk about often, it is the little extra special touches that make a difference. Trust me, once you get in the habit of trying to add a touch – you will try to play a game with yourself and say…what can I add that is simple yet fun!

This is a paper stack that is useful all year long. I am sure that many of you have it once it first came out so I say – GO PULL IT OUT and have some fun with it!

You can see that I used the Wood-grain Embossing folder to make a quick banner and then today O did (3) dashes and (3) dots to go around the fox!
I thought that this sentiment lends itself to this little fox, (I love the font) and the message – perfect for Valentines! The heart was from the Endless Thanks but you could also use the little heart that is on the Owl Punch….ask me how I know….I made a boo-boo and the “Owl Heart” is a perfect coverup!

I think that this is a smile maker and I know that my “peeps” are going to love this card. Hannah always loves a card with this dear little fox and this is a set that I will always keep as it is so quick and easy to make a whimsical card with an endless array of sentiments!
I think that the size of the fox is the thing that makes it works for so many different projects. He would be a perfect toppers for a “nuggets” bag of chocolates and it would be adorable on one of the white boxes!

Here you go with the quick dimensions! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions and if you do not have this paper, no worries ~ just use what you have!
- The card base is an A2 in the vertical 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″
- The white piece is 4″ X 5 1/4″ (this is the step that you could skip but I love the layers)
- The heart paper is 3 3/4″ X 2″ and then the lower DSP is 3 3/4″ X 3″ (I like to use Tear and Tape to hold these 2 together)
- The white stamped piece is 2 1/4″ X 3″ and then matted with real red a “smidge larger” ~ 2 3/8″ X 3 1/8″
- I stamped an extra head and then POPPED it up with dimensionals.
- The embossed banner is 1/2″ wide and then the end trimmed with scissors

I know that we are all over the place about creating Valentines….some of us love to send them….some of us are not as much of a fan! I can remember when I was little that I LOVED Valentines Day and I always was waiting to see which Valentine a boy would give me….do you remember if there was a conversation heart that said “be mine” you thought that he liked you…a BUNCH!
I guess that I get it honestly about making homemade things…as I always gave homemade/handmade Valentines and I did the same with my children. Looking back at it, I am glad that I carried that tradition as they are wonderful memories!
Have a super day…..let’s all have a great week and I hope to see you back tomorrow for your Tips for your Tuesday! 😀

Good morning and Happy Thursday!
Every Thursday means it’s a Pals Paper Art Challenge day! Today’s sketch is from the very talented, Linda Callahan, and I tried my best to think out of the box… Did I get you with that subject line? You were probably thinking…what the heck?
Let me explain….I think Linda is one super talented stamper and PAL….and I wanted to honor her sketch by doing something fun and whimsical. I adore this Fox and it is simply amazing all of the things you can do with it – check out Pinterest and I am sure that you will be HITTING the button to purchase it!

Every year it gets harder and harder to buy for “older peeps” for the holidays….even though they adore gift cards…I like to ask them for some ideas and then surprise them! I thought that if I sent them this card now they would do one of two things….
- Think that their Mom has totally lost it.
- Laugh so much that they might really think – this was a good idea and what the heck – it is a cute card!

Were you wondering where this sentiment came from? It is from the Snow Place Stamp Set and I did a simple masking to only highlight the 2 words of “Christmas already?”- I know that it will make them laugh! This stamp set was carried over from last year and I am happy as it was super popular last year!

I know that you all are getting super excited to see the new Holiday Catalog and guess what – YOU SHOULD BE as it is super fun….something for everyone. I do admit, this DSP, This Christmas, that is in the Annual Catalog is still one of my holiday favorites as to me….it is traditional with its color…its designs…just a “Classic Christmas”

I know that I have not blog a ton on the new layering framelits that were unveiled in the catalog and WHY??? The best answer I can give you is that there are sooooo many great stamps that I wanted to share with you BUT….these new framelits are fabulous as there are so many options, with the circles alone you get 16 different sizes in both the circle shape but also the scallops – I say WOOT-WOOT!
In the below photo you can see that instead of cutting out a circle and layering it on top….I cut a circle out of the “green print” and then nestled and adhered it (the red print) into the cut out one. This is a fun thing to do and try it with many circles in a variety of papers….you will smile – trust me!

Here is your fun picture for you to add to your files or pin it! By doing this, you will be able to see at a glance the “ins and outs” but if you need further help….please email me!
I am sure that I will receive (3) phone calls from the peeps laughing….Every year I vow to get a grip on my Holiday chopping EARLY.…so I can enjoy the Holiday Season (well…we all like that “special shopping” experience when everything is decorated) and yep, I will do that as that’s what we do as Moms….BUT I do like to get a bunch finalized as I ADORE cooking, baking and simply making handmade gifts!

I do hope that you pop over to the Pals Paper Art Site and see all of the beauties that the design team came up with – WOWZA…there are so many FUN cards and I invite you to play along with this sketch….super fun!
How do you like my BIG Paw Print “Shop Button”….I think that it is adorable – this will take you to my on line store and also you will see the specific products that I used for today’s card…under it!

Here is the last day this week that I will share with you another “formula” of a layout. Today I am showing you how to adapt this layout with a vertical A-2 card versus the square cards that I showcased to you the past 2 days…I hope that this has show you how you can make changes and have them work for your needs!
I am sure you have seen this ADORABLE little fox and OH SO MUCH MORE on a bunch of blogs….I “get it” as he is the cutest guy that has come down the pike since my blind date with John over 28+ years ago! 🙂
Enjoy the pictures and please sketch this layout and put it in your memory bank. I am going to do this type of posts with you in the future as I know how it helped me tremendously and I know that you will learn and gain confidence as well with your stamping and creating.

Both of these pictures (above and below) are great additions to your crafting obsession as they both with create fun and special projects. I usually do not do a bunch with punch art but there is something fun and special about this bundle. TIP: – I would definitely purchase it as a bundle as not only will you save 10% but you will also save soooo much time in not having to fussy cut out the pieces!
You can go to Pinterest and put in Foxy Friends and hang on to you hat – you will smile…you will be inspired…you will see that you need this bundle.

As I have shared throughout the week, the POP up of the stamped focal element makes the depth and dimension and instant blue ribbon. Today I chose to use an embossing folder on the card – love the touch and feel it gives. TIP: I like to use the “green glue” to adhere the embossed wood elements….because of the nooks and crannies of the embossed pieces, I think it is easier to work with to get it “just right”

This is a new product that came out with the new catalog and it comes with all orders of the Big Shot now. Many of us have the platform that has all of the tabs (that really can be a bit annoying to flip) but this one not only elimantes that but it gives a much cleaner and crisp end result with your projects.
Remember the other day I posted about the Stampin’ Up! You Tube channel? Well…here is another great example of a fantastic video that will help spotlight for you the scoop on this new product and actually a product review of the Big Shot.
I highly recommend for you to watch this video because we have so many new thinlits, detailed dies, embossing folders etc…it gives you a great glimpse of how to use this must have tool to the most effective way it can be used.
I purchased it and love it….the results are super and there was no guilt on my part to saying goodbye to the other platform.

TIP: – You can see that I matted the dot paper in White. I originally was going to do it in Calypso Coral but once I looked at it I thought it was “too much” – again, this is a way that you can learn to see what works for you. Paper adds so much. With a simple and clean layout like this you can see that the level of difficulty is very low…it is just layering and keeping it simple.

Adorable, just adorable! You could easily change the sentiment to say….thinking of you or I miss you. This would be a cute one to make up in the masses and then leave the sentiment off and then you can add it when needed! Simple works for me!

Here is a quick run down on the dimensions. You can go back to Wednesdays Post and see the dimensions that I used for that card and then see that the “basic formula” is the same, just some tweaks to make it work for the paper and stamps you are using!
- A-2 card in Thick Whisper White, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″
- White Mat 4″ X 5 1/4″
- Smokey Slate DSP Dot Paper 3 3/4″ X 5″
- White stamped piece, 2 1/4″ X 3″ and then matted in Calypso Coral 2 3/8″ X 3 1/8″. I stamped the fox face on a piece of scraps and then used the puch to POP him out with a dimensional on the back
- Embossed Pool Party, 1 1/4″ X 3 3/4″ and 1/2″ X 3″

How can you not smile when seeing this cute little guy! I am sure that this would make anyone’s Birthday a special day! I think that it is the combination of the “fun fox” and then the sassy script in the sentiment – the balance just seems to work! THOUGHTS?
Let’s all have a great weekend…I am super excited to go see Stanley show tomorrow and I have a secret for him and then I will share it with you on Monday….his birthday was on Tuesday (good thing he is a horse so he won’t be mad at me with being late) but of course I need to recognize his special day and trust me, I will have plenty for the barn and his buddies!
We are BACK ON TRACK for the weekend….I hope to see you back tomorrow for Simple Saturday! YIPPEE!!!
