With Hannah back at college, I was attempting to go through some items in her room that needed to find a "new home" and I found a book about Origami! I flipped through it and was amazed at how many things I could do with our paper and stamps!
Here is one that I learned and it is super cute! True…it's not too big but it certainly does the trick for a goodie for Halloween! From 1 sheet of 12 X 12 paper you can make 4 of these! You can add something elaborate or simple… like candy!!!!
For my children, I thought about putting 2 movies tickets…a gift card to go to dinner and 2 peppermint patties!!! I am going to make up a bunch more with just candy for Hannah's dorm and my son that is a Montessori Teacher in Boston…I will make some for his little goblins!
This post is a great reason why I should do videos…there are soooo many pictures below and it is so incredibly easy…..a 1 minute video would have done the trick! Have fun and feel free to email me if you have any questions! BOO!!! Too darn' tootin' cute!
Here are the supplies I used for for this project…there is not many….so have fun!!!
Take a 12 X 12 sheet of paper and cut it into 6 X 6 pieces….this will allow you to make 4 of these!
Fold Corner to Corner...use the bone folder to make a good, clean crease ***this is important*** to get the best results!
Fold left side point over and across and again use the bone folder!
Take the right point and fold over….use the bone folder!
That's about it!!!! Now, take the Multipurpose Liquid Glue ( as I think it is the strongest and easiest to use) but be careful….a little goes a L O N G way! For just $3.95 – this is a bargain! Use the bone folder again!
Simply fold the top flap down….use the bone folder….and the glue one more time!
This project is also a great way to use up scraps! Using the Black Staz On Ink with the Tags 4 You "Trick or Treat" Stamp a quick stamp and then a pop out with the Label Bracket Punch….BAM!!! I also popped out a mat with black paper to give it an extra POP of color!
Another great thing about this stamp set and the punch is that it is available to but as a bundle! This means you will get an additional 15% off when you purchase both at the same time! Click here to see the bundle!
I hope that you have found this post to be fun and inspires you to make some over the weekend! The best thing is you could make them up…..they lay flat until you bend them for the candy and you will be all ready for Halloween!
This was a fun post to end the work week! I have been busy getting my cards, materials and ideas together for my monthly Breast Cancer Cards! I just love that evening with the volunteers!!!!
Let me know how you like this! I think it is sooooo ridiculously simple yet the outcome is great! Remember you can click here and order anytime of the day from your own home….even in your jammies!
Until tomorrow!
Thanks for the step by step guide to making these…they are simply adorable!!!!!
Adorable. Thanks for the instructions. Will try for my grandkids.
Omg! How simple yet strikingly cute! Can I case this and give you credit?
Great idea; my granddaughter is leaving for college and these will be just the ticket for her roommates as well. Thank you.
Thanks for the step-by-step pictures. I’ve made these before, but always forget how before the next time, years later, when I want to make them again. (They can be paper cups and will actually hold water until they get too saturated. Just fold down the other flap over the back to make the cup.) So cute in the Halloween paper!
PS–I responded to your email the other day. Thanks for writing!
Wowzers, Susan! These are super-cute – what a wonderful “find” while you were cleaning!
So cute and easy. I have been using Multipurpose liquid glue since you recommended it. It works like a charm. Thanks
Soooo STINKIN’ Cute!!! I will be making these for my little kiddies and to give out for Halloween. We don’t get many trick or treaters and these will be fun and special for the neighborhood kids! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much! I can’t to wait these for our neighborhood kids!
So adorable, thanks for the idea!
Susan, you are something else!! These are so adorable and look so easy to put together…very cool! Will be making some of these up throughout the next few months. Thanks for sharing such a great idea! I think I’ll do some cleaning in my house…hope I get inspired like you did 🙂

These are absolutely adorable. I will try to make them and send them to my Great Niece and Nephew. It does look easy enough for me to do. How darned cute! Maybe when my cousins come back, I have one at each of their spots for a treat! Oh, how awesome. And, oh yes, what about Christmas….I wonder if you could make it big enough to fit a wrapped cookie in the pocket. Lot’s of idea’s and opportunities with this. Goodness, thank you so much for sharing with us! I just love it!
My Grand-daughters 1st grade is gonna LOVE these……..THANKS for sharing….
sweet!
Susan, you always mention the gatherings with the Breast Cancer Volunteers; how many participate? Where do you gather? Enjoy your long weekend!
Well, this is easy enough that I think even I could do it (I hate origami because I never understand what they are doing but this makes sense).
