There are times that I just have to admit….that I "tickle" myself….and this dear little bunny is one of them! Isn't he sooo darn tootin bunny cute!!! I hope that you run out to the store and buy these Lindt Chocolates…and they also come in "chicks" and "lambs"…don't worry – I will have other fun posts with them!
Before we get to this SIMPLE 3-D fun…I want to say a big thank you for popping by yesterday and I hope that you enjoyed all of the fun posts…so many great ideas…so much fun!
I did email those who asked for the cookie recipe…my computer was acting up so I apologize if I sent it to you twice! (please let me know if you did not receive it and requested it)
Let's go….and boy do I have a bunch of pictures for you…this is so easy that you are not going to believe how easy it is!!! Naturally you can change up the colors and the colors of grass etc….let your imagination go wild – mixing up colors would be super cute!
- The strip is Strawberry Slush cut at 2" X 11" (make is a teeny-tiny smaller than 2" so it will fit in the Scallop Toppers Punch better)
- Score it at 4 1/2"….flip it around and score it at 4 1/2" on the other side – use the bone folder for a good crisp fold! Using the Designer Frames Textured Embossing Folders…place an end in as shown below…
- I told you this was easy-peasy…flip around the other side and run it through the big shot just like you did before!
- Next, take the Topper Scalloped Punch and POP each ends!
- The last thing before we get to fru-fruing it is to take the Ex Large Oval Punch and POP out the center!
- That is IT!!!! Now for the fun! Just put adhesive of your choice and "squish" up your easter grass and press it down firmly and then trim any excess that looks "unruly"
- Isn't he just adorable!!! I place several glue dots on the bottom of the bunny and gently pressed him down….and he was happy!
- To decorate the top…I used my old faithfuls! Out came the Boho Blossoms Punch and the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (that is on sale this eek…WOOT-WOOT)
- The simple yet elegant Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon was the icing on the cake! I wish this ribbon would be out in ALL colors as I can actually tie a bow….another reason to do a WOOT-WOOT!
Here's a little side view of my friend….
To me it's like have a floral centerpiece on the table…
you want it to look great at all angles!
I hope that this made you smile and I hope that you make some one smile and make them! These will be on my Easter table and I have also made some for co-workers as well as some for elderly people that could use some joy!
My dear John has a client that has suffered many strokes and he tries to go and visit him weekly – John took him one! Mr. Johnston loved it and was smiling from ear to ear! Isn't it wonderful that simple things like this can bring us ultimate joy!
YOU popping by my blog brings me joy! Please email me if I can be of help! I love helping you reach your goals and I know that you have many options of being your demonstrator….but please know, if you need one – I'm here!
I love to help teach you to have the confidence that we all have….sometimes it just needs to be "un-leashed"…we all have talents…we all express ourselves in different ways….
YOU can do it….until tomorrow!
What a cute candy holder! Lindt bunnies are very prominent at the grocery store here in France. I wish I could take a picture of the HUGE inflated bunny like that that is in the middle of the display. Unfortunately, the security guards fuss if you take pictures in the store (ask me how I know). Thanks for sharing your project!
Cyberhugs!
It`s a shame to eat something so cute ! Love your holder ! So easy and as I say frequently …thank you for giving us detailed instructions . This goes on my Easter “To Do” list . Thought : Wouldn`t this make a cute bookmark with a picture in the frame ?
Well, I didn’t even know Lindt makes chocolate bunnies. I like them because they are a bit more adult-ish. Our family baby will 21 in June. This is so cute. Hopefully I can make these for Easter. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for the easy description and instructions. 🙂
Oh my, this little bunny is just so adorable, Susan! And your pictures and instructions are super! Thank you so much!
Adorable! Love it!
How did you make it thru your project without eating the bunnies ears off. =) That probably would have been my first ‘goal’!!!
If you have time, may I please have your cookie recipe too!
Awesome project Susan. Thanks so much for sharing!
Love it! I am wondering how I can make it as I don’t have some of the required supplies. My grand kids would love it. Thanks so much for your daily inspiration!
Adorable! Love the color combo – I just got some of that ribbon! Woot!
Susan, I love this adorable project. The colors are great. I think he would be a great gift for anybody. I love the colors. I also wis they would put that ribbon in every color. I would love to have the cookie recipe from yesterday’s post. I love your site. Have a great day. Happy Easter. Ellen Hinds
Cute, good treat for the Senior Adults at Church. They all Lv Chocolate. Thanks for the great tutorial.
This is adorable, Susan! Love this ribbon as well.
This would make an adorable bookmark…they are super cute…I like the fact that the bunnies are not so juvenile looking…..but the best thing – SOOOOO easy to do!
Really clever – thanks so much for sharing!
Oh, did you just use traditional easter grass purchased at the store, or are those strips of paper/ribbon you cut up?
Adorable! Thanks for the great instructions. Definitely have to do this!
Your bunny project is so sweet. I made some similar with a Cadbury egg inside, but I like the rabbit even more. Lindt makes sheep and chicks too so I’m off to the store for more chocolate! Thanks for the clever idea!!!
so stinking cute! I always give my peeps in the office
something small for Easter. Guess what they are getting
this year???? Thanks for the awesome idea!!
Love your Easter bunny project and had to immediately go to the store to get some. ‘d like to say no animal was harmed in the making of this project but alas I had to dispose of one that broke. I’m not telling what I did with him! However I do have 19 unharmed little creatures left for treats. Thanks for all your great inspiration!
Oh great… now I’m singing the song and doing the hand gestures! LOL that will be in my head all day “little bunny foo foo, hopping through the forest…”
Seriously though, what an adorable gift to make. I think I’m going to have to run to the store and see if I can find them and make them for our workshop guests this weekend. They will LOVE them!
Thank you Susan. Great project!
I am hopping for joy at this sweet treat! I, too, had seen something similar with the Cadbury egg. I saw in the Sunday paper ads (for another store) these Lindt bunnies and ran to Walmart but they didn’t have any! Yes, I was hopping mad! I actually left not buying anything at all! I will go back again and check though. I love the Lindt chocolate truffles so I thought these would be even better! I have yet to buy the tag punch but I do have the two tag die that was retired which I have never used. I bet I can use it until I get the tag punch. Seriously, I wish I knew the punch was coming as I would use it a lot and not wasted my money on the die. Live and learn! Do I dare shut off the computer and run out to see if they have them? Somehow, I don’t think they would last very long because I would have to try one to make sure they were as good as they sound! If all else, I will buy that punch for this project!
I love a ‘WOW’ that’s also easy peasy! Thank you for sharing these in such great detail. Saying they’re easy and showing it to be true are two entirely different things. Can’t wait to crank a few of these out!
So cute. I think I will try making a few of these for my mother and her friends at the nursing home. Thanks for such an easy project with a “big bang” look.
Susan, I love this project, the bunny holder is so cute and your instructions are easy and clear. now that my kids are older, 18 and almost 15, I can make some crafty treats to put in an easter basket for them.( and for a few other people as well) I will definately be making these little cuties. Thanks for the great project.
This is by far the cutest fold up, scallop tag punch little Easter goodie I have seen yet! I am going to try it! Thanks and thanks again!
I would love to see the BIG BUNNY….see…another reason you need to come back to the states…they let you take pictures EVERYWHERE!!!!
hugs!
I agree with you and I must admit…I make things like this and just do not have the heart to eat them….my kids laugh t me!!!
If it was dark chocolate…those bunnies would have been GONE!
Hi Kathy…..feel free to email me and let me know the supplies you have….maybe I can think of something!
Hi Ellen….fingers crossed that there will be more ribbon offerings in the new catalog!!! I adore our ribbons!
Hi Carrie…I did purchase that grass but you could easily make it! That way – you would be able to get the colors you want!
I am smiling…as that is exactly what I do when I see something I want to CASE…You will smile with what I am going to do with the chocolate chickens!
That is what I am going to do as well….they are so cute and easy….lots of bunnies in the office!
Oh Ruth….You make me laugh! I admit…the 1st one I did I squeezed the poor little guy too hard and POOF…..had to eat him!!! So glad you liked the post and I am trilled that you are making them!
John said THANKS….I did the same thing – I walked around the house singing the song and then he had it stuck as well!!! At least it’s a fun song that brings back memories! Thanks for making me smile!
Cute, cute, cute. A great little treat for someone. Thanks for sharing.
love this and going to try and make this with the paper and ribbon I have. thank you so much for this. It is cute.
