Now here is a super quick project that you can whip up in a jif and also use so many different themes to the front but the best thing is….What a practical gift! This is the "Papa Version" to the one in the Holiday Catalog!
These were a big hit for me in the little version and I was so happy that they came out in this size! Here are a bunch of pictures for you and plese feel free to email me if you need further help and/or also fell free to leave a comment!
Did you notice that I embossed the front and back cover! See in the picture below how I did it! I was super happy that you are able to match up the dots so there really was no line from where one embossing started and stopped! Just a simple fun touch that dresses up the cover!
Isn't the new catalog just wonderful! There are so many fun, fresh and new stamp sets but oh…the bundles – they are super duper and remember that if you order the by the bundle number, you will save 15%!
The Crazy About You Bundle is great…just great! The come in all 3 ways for you to choose…wood, clear and photopolymer! I do realize that this is a pricey bundle but when you see not only all of the stamps….WOW – these framelits are fabulous.
The flower was not only easy to POP out the the matching NEW punch, but then I stamped several other flowers and did a quick "fussy cut" – it really is not bad ata ll to do!
Let's touch on the framelit – I would recommend using a piece of wax paper in between when you are cutting it and also – I like to run it back and forth several times….pops out like a charm each and every time!
Look at the below 2 pictures and I think you will see how I love to adhere it!
Here are some close ups of the finished project….well – what do you think? This would be a great project to do and give for just about anyone. I think that I like this size better and for just $3.95 – it is a great way to get a super gift personalized from YOU!
I used a white button and "split" a piece of the bakers twine and it worked perfectly! Love those glue dots to stick it onto my work surface to tie that darn bow!
Well…that's about it for today! Are you all still looking and looking at the new catalogs!?!? They are just great and this is a great time for you to earn free products in the super Sale-a-bration catalog…..Please reach out to me if you would like to "brain storm" in having a cyber event with me! Please pop back tomorrow as I will be showcasing a great option for you to have to earn free product! I thank you for your time in popping in and I hope that this super cute journal inspired you!
Until tomorrow!
p.s. ….many thanks to all – but….
Susan, thank you for yet another AMAZING idea. What a beauty!
Cute! I would hate to use the notebook. I would want to save it because it was pretty! I guess I would have to find something to use it for that I was going to keep, like writing Bible passages out, or something.
Cyberhugs!
I hope we can skype soon!!!
Great decorations on this journal. I do enjoy my mini very much. Makes me smile all the time.
🙂
Like this, but how would you pop it into a purse and not have the embellishments come off?
Just wondering.
Awe…YOU make me smile!
I will say….that “hello” is not going anywhere! If you use the tip that I shared with you above…it is on there to stay! If you think that you are going to put it in and out a bunch, I would mono glue everything flat and not use the glue dots! Thanks for popping in!
Super cute project Susan. Thank you for the tip to allow the glue to set up to prevent adhesive from squishing out. I hate using glue for that reason. I’ll have to revisit that product using your tip because it sure would make adhering small embellishments easier. Thank you!
I’ve admired the three little dots that you often use around your sentiments for some time now. Can you tell me what stamp set they are from, and is it still available? I love, love, love your ideas and designs. Thank your for sharing your talent.
What ‘sandwich’ did you use to run the notebook thru the big shot with the embossing folder? Seems like it would be too thick. Thanks for always inspiring us 🙂
I’m so clever?????? I think it’s you that is so clever. I love this idea! I haven’t purchased any of these, but I think you just enabled me!
This is soooo cute!! Love the dies. Thanks for the tip on adhering.
So cute ! Love your detailed pictures ! I hope when you become a video star you won`t stop with the great pictures !!
These books are perfect for a lot of things . But then I am addicted to office supplies (tee hee) I like this size also .
I thank you for the idea about the EF . That will be fun choosing which to use ???
A beautiful gift for sure! Love what you did with it. I am wondering the same thing about how you got the embossing folder and that whole notebook into the Big Shot machine?
Those fun little dots are made by ME…just a quick…dot…dot..dot!!! I love to also use the white gel pen whenever possible but remember, it does take a bit of time to dry!
Great question and I should have put that in the post! I just fif another one to make sure that I am telling you correctly.
I had all taps open and then placed the embossing folder over the journal and then just placed a cutting mat on top of the journal and ran it through (So you are only using 1 of cutting mats)
Does that make sense…..you will be able to tell if you are too thick with your mat (that’s why I did one)….if you want a deeper impression to the journal – I would play around with a piece of paper on top to add a little thickness
Please let me know if you need further help….sometimes it’s hard to put into words! Thanks for the comment!
Now Lynn my dear…that what we do to each other….enabling is FUN!!!
I adore office stores as well….it’s amazing the things you can find!
Look up…I just answered it and I hope it makes sense! Thanks for popping in!
Fabulous project, Susan! And thanks so much for the mono-glue tip!
Got it! Makes perfect sense! Thanks Susan! Great project! But then, everything you do is great… 🙂
Love it Susan 🙂 Thanks a lot for all the enabling — LOL 🙂
