Here is is – the 2nd of the 2 day post. Please click here to see yesterday's post on the treat bags. Remember that these are 25% off just thru Monday evening so NOW is the time for you to "hop on this deal". Also…read down to the end as I have a gift for you that qualify!
Below you will see the super simple and fun cards that I made that slide right down into the mini treat bag. Enjoy!
Here is another peek of the bags from yesterday and then I am going to share with you the dimensions to make some simple and quick cards to tuck in.
- The card base is 3 1/2" X 10" and scored at 5" ( you will get (2) cards from a sheet of paper.
- Use the left over from cutting the cards to cut out the banner framelits and then also use scraps to cut out another color that will coordinate.
- The 1st mat layer that gets adhered to the card base is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
- The next mat is 3" X 4 1/2"
- For the card that I made the pocket to slid a check into…it is a piece 1 1/2" X 3 1/2 and then the piece that I cut the heart out is 1" X 3 1/2"
You can clearly see that the sky is the limit and if you pop back to yesterday's comments….Chris did a BANG UP job with ideas in what to fill it with! I am going to use these a bunch.
I am going to share with you a collage of pictures that you will get a great idea on how to see the details of the cards. When you think of it – the sky is the limit and the other great thing is that this will slip into our envelopes if you wanted to mail this "special duo"! Here comes a woot woot!
(Please make sure that you click on these collages so they get "nice & big" on your screen and you can read the tips and scoop I have given you)

I hope that you enjoyed this 2 day fun and that I have inspired you! I am a HUGE believer that purchasing "practical" dies to make simple 3 D's is a very smart move. This one you get so much more than the the treat bag…you get a bunch of extras to help with other card projects!
Remember, this is on the weekly deals and the weekly deals are only good thru tomorrow night….NOT Tuesday morning when you wake up….Remember, the deals are revealed on Tuesday and end Monday night.
Now here is a special deal for you if you purchase the Mini Treat Gift Bag Framelit from me today or tomorrow.
To make the deal even sweeter, if you purchase this die and the Greetings Thinlits (click here and see the post I did on Friday using it) from me today or tomorrow, I will send to you the applicators from the above picture as well as the MUST HAVE product, the Silicone Craft Mat…even if you have one – I find it is like the "lost sock" – you loose it and then PRESTO – it shows up!
Thanks for popping in and many thanks for all of the well wishes….I have received so many great cards….sounds like it is time to do a "Parade of Beauties" – I always think that it is so fun and inspiring to see ideas that others do.
Please feel free to email me...and I hope that you have a great end of the weekend…it's been a wet on on the East Coast. Enjoy these pictures of Eddie and Leo….dear old Eddie…one special guy but he does get cold in the air conditioning….he loves to be covered up!

G’morn Susan. Super cute little bag and cards. I’m enjoying your “step-up” weekends. I truly try to imagine what you will do. The ice cream cone one is my favorite. The pups look adorable! 🙂
Raining here too . . . but everything looks so green and smells so summery . . . and sounds so refreshing. This is because I don’t have to go out. One of my peeps went to a 3-Day Concert on Randall’s Island . . . outdoors UGH! Our parish church also had/has their yearly carnival until tonight. Such planning! I hope they got enough to cover the cost and a little extra.
Have a great Sunday.
🙂
Very cute. You do a great job.
I ADORE these bags and the matching cards make this project over-the-top! You do such amazing work, Susan!! Thanks so much for sharing the pics – ALWAYS a treat. I do have a favor?? Would you be able to post a pic of that sweet piggy you have? I would so love to see one! Stay dry, continue taking good care of yourself, and enjoy this gloomy day. Speaking of that, thank YOU for always putting a bit of sunshine in my mornings, regardless of the weather, you do that each and every day and I appreciate it so much! xoxo
Loved the treat bags and the great cards. Another fantastic idea. Who says a card should always have an envelope? A card in a treat bag is much more fun. I did order the “Sprinkles of Life” stamp set and the coordinating tree builder punch. I love them. They are my new favorite as I have used them several times already. Hope the weather turns sunny for you. Have a good week next week too.
What a terrific idea putting the card inside the bag! All three are totally adorable and the colors are great as well. Eddie looks so comfortable, not a care in the world and Leo is a beautiful pup and it looks like he fits in perfectly! Enjoy the rainy day, Susan!
Super cute! I also try and imagine how you will “step it up”!!! First thing I do on Sunday morning. You are truly creative. So happy to read you are steadily getting better.
Super cute ! That goes for canines and cards and bags and …..
I love all those adorable bags and ideas . I have several bags cut out always just waiting to be put together .I think I am going to get the new Tear and Tape on my next order to use on these bags.
Enjoyed my visit as always !
As usual the step it up is great . Going to try that idea with at least one of my four parties that are left to do between now and October. Love the Christmas tree one:)
Wow! You really Did Step It Up! Love all these beauties, Susan! The bag makes the card Extra Special, don’t you think! It’s like receiving 2 cards in one~
These cards are cute and the little hearts are perfect. Love these!
O.k. another use. I saw a friend’s son when walking Teddy yesterday afternoon. Jared had a sly grin and he asked if I could do him a favor. His mom was a weekend retreat and he needed a little help. He had found a pair of earrings on sale for $3 that were purple flowers. He wanted to give them to a girl, he assured me she was not his girl friend! Anyway, they needed help at vacation bible school the last day and he called this girl he knew to see if she would be interested. She did and he wanted to thank her. He wanted to not put them in a box as that would look like he liked her more than he did. They were flat but an envelope just wasn’t quite enough. Out came one of my remaining kraft polka dot bags. He smiled and asked if we could jazz it up. We made 3 quick banners using rich razzleberry polka dot paper and the plain. We punched out a three flowers out of the same. I took one of the remaining Hip Hip Hooray polka dot cards and the thank you water color stamp and stamped that and matted it with the rich razzleberry. He hooked the earrings inside and wrote thanks for coming to OUR rescue. He thought the OUR part made it look like it wasn’t from him! Oh to be young again! Anyway, that took less than 15 minutes to make. As he was leaving, he saw a card we made at card class with the butterfly on it using the thinlet thing and I asked him if he wanted to put than on the bag instead of the flowers and he smiled and said he would love it but to keep the flowers on there too. I had used 2 glue dots and they came off fairly easily and looked nice on the bag. All were happy especially Teddy since he had lots of belly rubs while I cut and punched the scraps. As he left, he said I really didn’t need to tell his mom about all this the next time I saw her.
Clever ideas! Fun to receive!!
Eddie looks so sweet in his cozy place, and how handsome Leo is. I’ll bet he is happy to be with ALL of you and to have such a wonderful place to play!
Have a great week and hopefully you won’t loose your power!
