Here you go….the stepped up version of yesterdays card – Please click here to see yesterdays post and then below you will see both of the cards side by side to see the differences and which one you like better (I like them both but you know what I am going to say = it comes down to time as I think they are both great)
As I shared with you yesterday, this is a great bundle….super simple Christmas Trees are always a classic and the sentiments in this stamp set are equally as special!
Below you will see the differences that I made. Again, it is not that they are huge differences…but they are little changes that do make a difference, especially when you are holding them side by side.
It was hard to get a great picture of the gold stars and then the heat embossing with the Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder….it is a subtle but fun shimmer! Yesterday, I just used the versamark but let it dry…today I sprinkled the "shimmer dust" and the heat tool came out to make is shimmer and shine!
To do the tree trunks was super easy. I just took a wee bit of soft suede scraps and just ran the "trunk part" through the big shot with the framelit. (You could also easily freehand cut them out but this works perfectly)
The little fru-fru of the gold thread does set off the gold stars and shimmer. I just love the boldness of the real red ribbon against the warm feeling of the crumb cake!
I was thinking….this paper stack gives you (24) of these polka dot sheets which means that you would be able to make 48 envelope liners from one stack of paper….not this is what I call super practical!!!! Love those dots but I also like the plaid that is in this stack – you'll be seeing that in another post!
There you go my friends…another 2 day post for you to see some simple changes that can make. There are times that you are in a "Saturday mode" and then there days that we are in a "Sunday mode"…that's what makes this whole stampin' fun journey so much fun for each of us!
Remember, what ever mode you are in….
they are gifts of Art from you Heart….just go get inky!
Yesterday I was working on the super cute boxes for those of you that purchased $50.00+ from me this month….they are super cute! Please remember to use the hostess code of YHNMUJNJ and click here to see the fun box and also the embossing folder that will be yours with a $75.00+ order! (actually you will receive both with the $75.00 order)
We had a most needed day of rain yesterday so today, I am going to have an affair with some weeds that are calling my name! Thanks for popping in….you all are the best!
Until tomorrow….
p.s. – We are on 3rd base…..Eddie ate 3 meals in a row…this is a 1st for about 2 weeks – he had a big day yesterday! I hid a basket of tennis balls in a closet and we played a game…..
Both cards are great…I think I might like the “simple” one just a tad more, but do agree that it all depends on what “mode” you are in. I’m so excited to hear that Eddie is on 3rd base; I pray he stays there. Caleb is so concerned about him and wants to come visit in the hopes that it will cheer him up. Enjoy your weed picking and please give Eddie extra love from us.
WOW. Susan this is so beautiful. You are amazing. It is amazing how small things can change it so much. Ellen Hinds
I adore both of these cards – so clean and crisp. You are incredible and I cannot thank you enough for sharing with us each and every day. SO THRILLED to hear that EDDIE is doing so much better – that warms my heart so much. Hugs and blessings!
Both cards are wonderful!!
Love your subtleness! Perfect. So, so glad Eddie had a good day.
🙂
Love the subtle changes on the card! I agree, it depends on “what tickles your fancy” when you make a card and how much time you have. So happy to hear Eddie is doing better and has some “spunk” back. Hugs to you and Eddie and enjoy your day!
Always look forward to seeing the Sunday changes. Both cards are A+ I usually try to send cards that match the personality of the receivers. My daughter is a Saturday card, but her younger daughter is all about bling. Thanks for doing such a great job of showing me how to achieve something both would enjoy.
I think this is the first time that I’ve had a strong preference for one over the other but I really love Sunday’s card this time. That extra pop of gold and the brown trunks really do it for me! I love the Sat/Sun duos. Thanks for sharing. (Thanks for Eddie updates too. Pulling for him!)
With just a few gold additions this card is awakened from yesterday’ sweet creation. It’s bit of sparkle is a nice enhancement to an already fun card.
I love them both. I thought yesterday’s was great until I saw the changes you made for today’s, perfect. Great news on Eddie! The secret must be the turkey!
I really liked yesterday’s card, so I was blown away by the differences you made to it today. From a nice card to fabulous! You have such a great eye and touch. Thanks for the Eddie news. Our “family” means so much to us! Have a great day! Nancy B
I must be a midnight masked marauder as I am not totally in the Saturday mode or the Sunday mode on the card! True fence sitter, huh! I love the brown tree trunks and the gold cording on the bow. But, I don’t think I like the stars on the trees as I look on it as in the woods mode maybe where there wouldn’t be stars on the trees. The stars blinged up in the background, I am on the fence – I am not sure which I prefer! Don’t you love the critical analysis? Whichever….
I do know I am excited about Eddie eating and playing more! What do the other dogs think about his chicken and turkey diet?
HELP HELP HELP!!!!!
Thursday I cut out the CS for the little boxes for my lollipops for 45 kids to have for Halloween. I colored 45 lollipop stems with StazOn. I made 45 little ghosts to add to the top of the broom right where the thread is and then I stopped at the store (I was doing this at a friend’s house) on the way home to buy the coffee filters to make the bottom part of the broom. WHAT NO brown filters. Only pure white!!! So, I stopped at Walmart. NO tan filters. Went to Target. No tan filters. Next day I went to dollar store. No tan filters. Where did you find yours? I have not used that type of filter in ages. I did used to use that very same one!!! Now NADA. There are cone shaped tan filters but not the fluted kind like you used. Please help me find those filters. Have the project half done and can’t complete it!!! Don’t want to disappoint the little kiddies.
Thanks Susan

The only place I could find them was at my local grocery store. You could always get the white ones and ink it up with a neutral ink pad. Otherwise, I’d check Amazon…they have everything, right?!?
I hear you and I might agree….I do like the just versamark stars….love the soft feel and I could skip the heat embossing but I do like the added stars….
Thats what is so fun – we can do whatever we like! Hugs!
Thanks Ellen…you are exactly right = little changes can make a difference!
You know me…simple is the name of the game – when we get out of those boundaries I start to stress and remember, this is FUN – no stressing allowed!
Thanks….it’s such a fun bundle to work with!
Thanks my friend….just call me Subtle Susan!!! (ha-ha)
TOtally agree – we are get in moods when we craft and it is just “where are you” when you are taking the “me time” to have crafting fun!
When you see them in person…if you are a sparkle/bing person than you will see the sparkle glimmer of Sunday’s card to be fun! Little girls love their sparkles!
The brown trunks DO make a difference and I totally agree on that one – it is funny, not many people focused on that bit it is so fast to do and makes it “set off”…
We love gold in any form we can get it……jewelry works too! I think those gold threads are fun!
I am calling him…”Mr. PROTEIN” So glad you liked the card – sweet and simple!
WOW….you made me smile – many thanks for popping in and lovin’ both cards! My “family” is right by my side right now!
Oh MY…..this is a HELP ALERT! I can easily find them right by the white ones but please email me and I will be happy to send you some! When I bought them…they were mot $$$ at all and I think I had to buy 250 so I can easily send you some!
I can fold them in half and they will go in an envelope just fine….please email me and we can chat!
You are a true blue person…I will take you whatever side of the fence you are on!
Hmmmmm….let me say that it is interesting at feeding time – the other guys went on strike when they just see that they are getting dog food and then when they see – that’s is -they gobble it up!
Hubby stopped at a grocery store that we don’t normally go to on his way to the dentist yesterday. He found the tan filters. There were 100 in the pkg for 1.99. I need 50 so that was great. I will use the rest to line pots so that the soil doesn’t come out of the drainage hole. Maybe I will save some to use next year so I don’t have the problem again! Thanks for your offer to share. I used to buy these before the Keurig so hadn’t looked for them in awhile.
