As my wonderful Mom used to tell me, "You just cannot beat the classics" and this is a great example of a classic card that would have been super special 10 years ago, today and in 10 years!
Today this is a "stripped down version" (and I really like it a bunch) but I do hope that you pop back tomorrow and see how I have "stepped it up a bit" – it feels great to be back to our weekend posts of Simple Saturday and Step it up Sunday!
It is hard to get a good picture of this card but I do hope that you can see the simplistic beauty of being so darn simple! You can see the items that I used in todays card and I know what you are thinking….WOWZERS, these framelits are pricey! – Trust me – I get it but I will say that the beauty of these framelits and the attention to detail is over the top!
I totally forgot to put in the famous "scrolling store" the vanilla coaster board – this is a product that I use almost always when using sentiment framelits – I just LOVE it as it give the classic life that is needed!
One question I get asked all the time – is it easy to use? – YES
Does it work well with the Big Shot? – YES
This card just simply does not get any easier than this…..a great Neutral – Very Vanilla….a classic accent color – Night of Navy = a great card!
Did you notice the gold twine? This is the best, very affordable and give an instant WOW! The last picture, the beloved envelope! I used just the Night of Navy to line …simple but it works!
Please pop back tomorrow to see what is up my sleeve!

Absolutely STUNNING!
Classy card Susan! Love it!
Simply beautiful!!! I just love your work and this is the first time I have actually commented, but I, too, love the classic look. Nice work and I will definitely be back tomorrow to see the stepped up version.
What is the purpose of the coaster board?
A simple but classy and elegant card! Love the color combo too!
Very beautiful! Elegantly done. The person who receives this cases will not think it was simple to make. The color combo is perfect!
Absolutely GORGEOUS Susan. I’m anxious to see your stepped up version
This in it self is a stunning card. Can’t wait to see how you stepped it up.
Simple but elegant with a great impact. It is a beautiful card. I’m sure you will have something even more special for us tomorrow and I’m eager to see it.
Beautiful card. Please explain more about the coaster board. Did you use one layer? Did you glue foil paper on it or did you heat emboss in gold? Thanks.
Classic elegance;-)
Beautiful, elegant card. TFS
Wow! Love this, CAS Susan cards are the best, can’t wait to see the stepped up version.
This is so elegant! I really like your color choices.
Susan, you are turning into one classy lass not that you haven’t always been! This is sheer elegance at it’s best! I think you are going to have to do a video to explain the coaster board usage with the framelits for some people. I have seen you use it a lot and your explanation makes sense to me but some people may need more a visual on this. That way they can see how easy it is to use and compare a “word” using the coaster board vs. not.
Stepped version, maybe a bling in the center, gold matting? Who knows but I am sure it will be great!
Gorgeous card!
Susan, this is lovely and I plan to CASE it right away! I always enjoy
your posts, especially the photos of the dogs, especially Eddie—glad
he’s doing well.
Hi My Friend,
I love this card, especially navy and white. The gold is exquisite!!! I can’t imagine stepping it up!
I received my cards today and the cookies are delicious. Thank you so, so much.
🙂
Hi! I have ordered the coaster board but wanted to know if there are any special instructions for using the Big Shot to cut the greetings using it. Please let me know and thanks!
Love this card! Is the purpose of the coaster board to give support to the word and bauble? I think it is a great idea. Can’t wait for tomorrow!
Simply Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing! Can’t wait to see the stepped up version too!
I absolutely love this card. I agree with one of the other posts, a video would be extremely appreciated. I totally want to CASE this card, but feel I don’t have enough of the detail to do it. Please, please post a video or more details. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s card. Thanks so much in advance.
Susan, I have NOT been a fan of this framelit, but I love it in your card!! It’s beautiful and your card is perfect. Thanks for the tip about the coaster board…genius. It will be on my next order. Hugs to you my friend!!
Beautiful card, Susan.
