Good Friday to all….is it really Friday – can it really be???? I feel like I have lost several days this week but the reality is that I did lose several days but I am going to be Rocky and rebound! (after hearing them play the Rocky theme song when the Pope was in Philadelphia it made me think , I can be Rocky)…I am feeling soooo much better….
Today I am leaving to go to Atlanta for World Card Making Day and being able to see many special people that are near and dear to my heart and to be the BIGGEST sponge and take it all in! As of right now, I have nothing to take to work on but that's ok – I will pull together some things and yep – yikes – I need to make my swap cards!

I wanted to share with you another way to do a super simple and clean card that would hold up to any card you would ever find at a store! I adore this stamp set and I have an idea (you know me…..I think of things at the strangest times but I am going to think of something super fun with this stamp set)
I think the font and the sentiments of this stamp set are just wonderful and I think that you are going to like my idea if I can figure it out! This stamp Set coordinates with a kit, and the kit is super cute…..(I need to blog about that too!)
This is a great example of a "Wham BAM card" This would be a great card to make up and give as a gift, I know that I sure would like and appreciate a dozen of these to use throughout the year!
To me, there are 3 key elements that make this card….
- It is super clean and simple using just 1 stamp set
- The simple scoring on the sides makes is special
- I love coloring in the hearts randomly on the DSP = the icing on the cake!
I know that many of you are skeptical of the Note Card size and I must admit, I do not get it as it is a super size and the paper is fantastic – just like our heavy weight card stock plus it is the best bang for your buck!
I hope that this has inspired you that you do not have to make "time consuming cards" all the time – the end result will be super-de -duper! Trust me, there are times that I really enjoy the "me time" is making a challenging card, but this – right up my alley!
That's it my friends…this weekend will be different on my posts! Tomorrow I will share with you my swap card (yikes – I need to do it…..) and then on Sunday I have a "Show and Tell" for you that will make you smile….some AMAZING works of art that will make you happy!
I was determined to take it easy these past 3 days and get lots of rest so I could go to Atlanta….I am looking so forward to it and I wish each and everyone of you were there with me! (Would we have FUN or what)
Below you will see the products used for this sweet card, please feel free to email me if you have any questions and tonight while I am a "princess" in my own room at the hotel, I plan to read emails, make swap cards and have some "me time"
Until tomorrow!
p.s. – I just could not resist this photo….trust me, we have kennels, dog beds, toys all over the house and here is Milo and Leo. Remember, Leo is James puppy that he rescued and I have NO IDEA what he is other than one sweet boy! His legs are sooooo long and see how he has his back leg around the "new boy"

LOVE this simple and classic card and YES, I ADORE seeing this pic of Leo and Milo – sweetest ever! Glad you are feeling better and have a WONDERFUL time in Atlanta!!
Very nice card…I as well love simple and elegant cards and this is a great one! Very classy. Milo and Leo are so adorable and it looks like Leo is protecting Milo with his leg! Have a great time in Atlanta and looking forward to your posts. Happy stamping!
Beautiful clean and simple card, Susan! Have a wonderful time in Atlanta, and soak up some ideas to share when you get back. As for the pooches, it looks to me like they are long time friends~ How sweet is that!
Love the card! The embossed lines framing the image layer are the perfect finishing touch!
So glad you are able to go to Atlanta. I know you will have a fun time! You seem to keep having health things come up just before trips. Glad you aren’t going to be kept away from the festivities this time!
Cyberhugs!
(I won’t be making a swap card for the Christmas card exchange. I don’t have time, nor do I have current products, other than some cardstock and ink, for Christmas here with me.)
(In just over two weeks, because we get to the U.S. two weeks from today, I get to join!!!!!!! Yay!)
Sweet and simple, love it! The pups are precious too. Have a great time with Brian and Mary. Wish I could attend! So much talent!
Hi Susan, I do like this card but I must say, I love the pic of Leo and Milo, and I did notice the leg immediately. Have a wonderful time. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
🙂
Adorable card and adorable photo of Leo and Milo!!
Your card is wonderfully simple…love it! Leo and Milo are precious…I too have a wonderful rescue dog “Buddy”. Enjoy your trip to Georgia…rest well!
I love your simple card! I am not normally a jealous person, but I must admit I am envious of you for the second time this year…first for the SU Convention and now for your Atlanta trip for World Card Making Day. Nah, I’m just excited for you! Have a blast.
The picture of Leo and Milo is adorable! Caleb noticed Leo’s leg right away. Thanks for bringing us extra smiles this morning!!
I love this card for the simplicity and that magic scoring! That stamp set is so sweet and I do hope to get it and the kit for it. That was one of my favorites in the catalog when it came out. I love this sentiment and it would make a great card just to send to someone now and then. I bought a pack of those note cards in the Whisper White but I can’t find them. I have two packs of the crumb cake but I know I bought the white too. They would make a great little gift for people. I think my step MIL would like these too. Thanks for a great idea!
Atlanta, oh swoon and to see some of my idols! I would be so busy ohhing and ahhing over everyone’s stuff and chit chatting I wouldn’t have time to make something myself! Plus, I have never been to Atlanta and would love to see some of the sights!
Leo and Milo are so sweet! I wondered if that was a leg or what? I still think Leo is a cool looking fella. The kids will miss you!
Have a great time and looking forward to hearing about your adventure!
Oh this is a sweet card ! I have looked at that kit many times because of the pretty cards and sentiments ,but have not gotten it yet !
I still say Milo was meant to be there ! Those boys have stories to share and look like they are great pals !
Have fun With Yogi and friends !
Sweet card and sweet photo. Your heart just melts when you see how your dogs care for each other.
Have fun this weekend!
Hi Susan, I LOVE your card. I love SIMPLE and I to love this stamp set. Have fun in Atlanta..I love to see how much dogs love each other. I just got a puppy 2 weeks ago and I was a little worried about my youngest cocker. Oh my gosh, they are having a ball with each other. They LOVE to play and the puppy is a Chiwinnie so he is so much much smaller. But my cocker is very gentle with him. It’s great that they know he’s just a pup.
So mean! I just opted NOT to get this stamp set… yet. I just love it though with its simplistic sweetness. It is great here. The doggie picture made me smile.
