Good Morning and as promised here is a video for you about how I made the Stepped Up Card from the post on Sunday You can click here to see the post and then find some “me” time to watch the video!
I hope that you give this a try as it truly is fun and the end result will make you smile….promise! I am looking forward to trying this method with other dies that we have so stay tuned…..I will blog about them!
Here are the quick measurements of the card. Please have fun with playing with all sorts of colors for the die cut part. The sky is the limit so have FUN…..wouldn’t very vanilla and 2 shades of purple look great!
- Base is an A-2 Very Vanilla
- The Very Vanilla that you stamp and have your “die cut fun” is 5″ X 3 3/4″
- The mat behind is 5 1/4″ X 4″
- The envelope fun was a 1/2 sheet of a piece paper stack, perfect petals…..3″ X 6″ and then the envelope framelit was the star!
As you can see in the video, I used the precision plate and the Big Shot Brush. These are KEEPERS and YEP.…you need to have them. You will be amazed at the ease it is to get your diecut pieces out…and it really cuts down on the little strays of paper that sometimes happen when you cut! (I hope that this makes sense)
I hope that the video helps you and I hope that you will give it a try! Please let me know how it works out for you! This is a great bundle and just think – you are soooooo close to getting a FREE Sale-a-bration item!
Please feel free to send me an email and also if you are new to my blog, please subscribe to my blog! I blog daily and I am always happy to share with you clean and simple products….along with tips and tricks!
I purchased the Stick It from Amazon, click here and you will see the link! It is a fantastic product and I know that you will love it as well!It is so easy…just peel back the release paper….put your card stock down…..trim away to save the left over Stick It…..place a diecut on top of you paper….let the Big Shot do its thing – SMILE!
Have a great day!
Watched the video and what fun !!! My Stick It is due this afternoon from Amazon . Can`t wait to try it on lots of detailed die projects . I have not wanted the rose because I have SO many flowers BUT ….it looks like so much fun !! Even if I just get the dies I can play and play with putting different colors together !!
Thank you for that video !!!
Loved your video! You are so clear…..your directions are right on and easy to follow. Thanks for a great start this dreary morning!
Thank you for the awesome video !
Thanks for the instructions and the inspiration. Stick -it is on its way to my house along with some staples that were still in my cart that I forgot to order for my husband, oops. Loved the video. It was really helpful.
Scentsational! If only we had smellavision we could have really enjoyed those roses! The video was great! I cringed though when you pushed the pieces off your mat to show how the card goes together! I could just see the teeny tiny pieces getting lost at least at my house! They look like they would be so fun to put together different flowers. Makes me want to order all the stuff and then get one of the rose catalogs or books out and try to match them up. Real red would make a great Mr. Lincoln rose. I can see where the Stick It would be a must as I would have glue all over the place. The stuff looks easy to pull off, I have such a time with the red tape getting it to peel off at times. That brush was fun to see and hear – not sure how it worked it’s magic but it seemed to work! Thanks for a great video and all your tips and tricks! Love it!
Very helpful video, thanks. This does look fun. Will check into the Stick It.
Susan, thank you so much for taking the time to make a great how to video. I love what you did. I just checked out Amazon and they don’t take Paypal. Not sure how I am going to purchase this now. Pay pal is the only way I shop.
I really want to make this, first I am going to need to purchase the framelit and stamp set.
What a great video, Susan! But such a really cool technique on the product you have found seems wonderful. Lovely card!
Susan,What a great video. Your tips were wonderful. Your cards are so pretty. Have a great weekend. Hugs,Ellen Hinds
