Wow….sometimes it is hard to put into words…but I am happy….super happy! It was a GREAT weekend and I will share with you later this week some highlights of it and I am sure if you are an animal lover, you will “get it”, you will smile! 🙂
It has been HOT…really , really HOT – and when it is HOT – I am miserable! (and sometimes grumpy)
Heat and humidity are not friends of mine and I make no bones about it and please continue to follow this week as I have a funny for you that only YOU ALL will appreciate!
Now let’s get to this card….I am doing the “happy dance” over it as it is sweet….super sweet and one that I know that YOU can make and one that YOU will be so proud of!
I was DETERMINED to work with (3) elements today ~
- The Thoughtful Branches LIMITED edition Stamp Set and Bundle ***(See Image below)***
- Petal & Paisleys Specialty DSP *** (NEW HOLIDAY CATALOG)*** A new a fresh DSP that is just fabulous 😉
- Suite Seasons Stamp Set *** (NEW HOLIDAY CATALOG)*** ~ WOOT-WOOT, you can see that this is going to be a keeper…another great sentiment set!
I am very excited for the Holiday Catalog and no worries…..September 1st will be here before you know it (heck it is already the 15th) and because of the heat – I am thinking of FALL…beautiful FALL with cooler temperatures and changing leaves! BY FAR, my favorite season of the year!
I knew that I wanted to use the leaves from the Thoughtful Branches as I love the detail on the leaves and the ease of making them as we have a framelit to match! I chose my color palette right from the DSP and yep – I used my swatch book that I made to help (click here to see the swatch book offerings, share #1 of the Product Share)
You can see that this is a very straight forward card (that’s the way I like it) I used a nice and wide strip of the DSP so the beautiful print could shine and then I masked off the stamp to get the (2) colors. You could easily stamp this in a solid color but sometimes I think it is worth the extra step/effort in doing (2) colors!
Below is your 411, Directory Assistance Photo for you to PIN away for the future (just pin it right from the picture, can’t get any easier than that) The colors and the simplicity of this card is right up my alley…and of course the envelope is parked int he same alley!
I have a feeling….a STRONG feeling that both of these new products are going to be super popular! You all have LOVED the Thoughtful Branches Bundle and remember, it is just around for 2 more weeks and then BYE-BYE…..If I were you, I would click that button and get this – you will have a GREAT BUNDLE plus you will earn PAW PRINTS from me!
Please pop back tomorrow as it is a Tuesday Tip that will be making you do the “happy dance” – I sure have been since I have implemented this tip into my craft area!
We’ve been “upta camp” in the willywags with very bad internet….boy am I glad to be able to catch up all the posts I have missed. I love all the sharing that has been going on!!!! Great cards and lots of inspiration. I especially love the card today and the color combo is beautiful. My youngest arrives tonight from TN for 10 days so I have a lot of getting ready to do…..hoping I have some time to get into the craft room too. ?
Gorgeous card! Love it! That DSP is to die for! It’s been hot here in Ohio too, but we’re finally getting a break in the heat along with some much needed rain! Thanks for the inspiration!
What a beautiful fall card, Susan. I love the colors, DSP, two-color sentiment…well just everything about it. It’s going to be hot here again today. You must suffer with the heat having to be out and about with your animals. I feel for you.
Love your card and appreciate your 411 DA Photo and am wondering if you could give dimensions of the DSP and vanilla and mint macaron paper that you used ? We are catching our first cool weather break here in Texas – and I, too, am starting to get excited for FALL weather !
Love this card very much.
?
Gorgeous card! I don’t know if I would have ever paired Delightful Dijon with Mint Macaron sort of gives me indigestion just thinking about the combo! But, it works here! I would have maybe thought Old Olive as I can see mustard and olives together! Anyway, that DP is so rich. Hey, speaking of rich, maybe we need an Olive Oil color next time? Anyway, love fall and this card is such a great hint of things to come like fall. Those leaves are spot on and loving the linen thread. The sentiment is masked – I thought it was 2 pieces. Well done! Love all the layers too. Of course Very Vanilla is a must go to for fall themed cards! Beautiful. Our extreme heat and humidity has moved to the east, hopefully Susan it will keep going and give you some relief.
Beautiful fall card! The colors are so perfect together. Like Chris, I would never have thought to pair Delightful Dijon with Mint Macaron but they look fabulous, dahling! Great job! Hot here in Jersey too…hopefully relief is coming soon.
WOW! This is Over the Top Gorgeous! Love the new Paisley DSP!!! Can’t wait to use it!
I am sure that there will be some beauties cranked out from your basement….show and tell!!!
Susan, I love this card. It looks like fall, my favorite season, and the colors are beautiful.
Thanks Anita….come on FALL – I want to see the beautiful leaves!!!!
Love the colors! Love the linen thread! Great card Susan! I sure do hope the cooler weather those west of us are getting arrives here soon!!!
Thanks my friend, I think that the linen thread adds an instant warmth to a card!
AMEN!
Beautiful card and beautiful colors! The paisleys were def in my pre-order. I don’t regret getting the Thoughtful Branches bundle after not wanting it and then being on the fence (well remembering my flex points helped!) The Suite Seasons was either in my preorder or on my list for when we can get the host sets. There is a host set that I MUST have lol.
P.S. I am not much of a fall person because I get sad that winter is around the corner and daylight gets shorter. I am a pickle in the middle though and trying not to wish summer away, but my vacation to Florida is in mid-Oct and I am super excited 🙂 The heat has been extreme but I try to just shrug it off because when winter comes I will hate the snow and cold.
I totally hear you about Winter…..YUCK – I dread Winter…being cold and miserable…..breaking ice buckets for the horses….SNOW – YUCK….but FALL – BRING IT ON…
I am THRILLED that it worked for you to get the Thoughtful Branches….it is a special set! I think I know which hostess set you want…..me too!!!
Love this combination . I always favor using leaves on Fall cards and these look so pretty !
It is hot and humid here in N.C. . I think it was 96 in our area !!
Looking forward to tomorrow since you made it sound so EXCITING !
Hannah has shared with me just about daily the heat you all have been having….stay cool and stamp away!
Susan this is stunning. I too am so over the heat and am anxious for Fall to arrive. This is one of those DSP’s I am going to have a hard time using. But I am inspired to use it now!
Hello my friend…I am thrilled with this stamp set – so many great sentiments…I think that I will make a bunch of these….a great card for Fall! Thanks for popping in!
Susan, can you please share some really ugly cards with lousy colors so my wish list from the new catalog won’t be as long (and I haven’t even gotten it yet!!!). OKay? Please and thank you.
Meanwhile, fall makes me swoon and these colors you used make me swoon even harder.
Oh I had to laugh because I say that probably once a week – oh I wish they would make really lousy colors or ugly cards etc so I won’t be tempted!
You are a mess….a mess!!!! Thanks for making me laugh!
UGLY….LOUSY…..well sometimes I feel that way when I look back on cards and I say to myself – WHAT WAS I THINKING ABOUT!!!!
You have not received your goodies yet……????? I am going to track it and email you – this just can’t be for my Princess Judy!!!
What a gorgeous card!
Thanks Kendel, I do love the colors and they total feel – hurry up fall – I am over the HEAT!
This card is stunning. Love everything about it!
