Happy Weekend….I have a Simple Saturday card for you today but I do hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see the “stepped up” version…side by side – YOU decide! I adore reading your comments and getting feedback – this is how we all learn…each of us have gifts…have “nuggets” of tips and tricks and when we share through our comments…we all learn!
Before we get to the card for today….we have a BLOG CANDY WINNER…WOOT-WOOT to “Karen L” ( see her comment below) and please email me your address so I can get your goodies in the mail! I did enjoy reading your comments – WOW……I WANT TO GO TO A STAMP CAMP….LOVED that comment – wouldn’t it be a HOOT of a weekend if we could all be together.
When I was a Creative Memories Consultant, I held along with others a FANTASTIC WEEKEND retreat…it was filled with FUN, LAUGHTER, INSPIRATION and ENDLESS MEMORIES! I admit, it was a TON of WORK but days after the weekend…I was always ready to do it again!
Thanks for all of the great comments….
Now I must say, this is my kind of card…right up my alley and I am eager for you to see tomorrows to get your feedback ( I DO TREASURE your ideas and comments) – but I will say, this weekend post will definitely be in the running for one of my cards (I like to make up several different cards as I admit, I have a hard time deciding on just one)
Clean, Classic, FUN & DONE! Here is a great glimpse of the Regal DSP Paper Stack (Garden Green) – I LOVE these stacks and that is exactly why I always offer them with my product shares…so many of you have not had the opportunity to try them or many of you have overlooked them in the catalog, trust me…..I think I went almost 2 years before I discovered them! Remember my motto…
“When in doubt, pull the DSP Paper Stacks OUT!”
Here are the products used for this beauty! Pop back tomorrow to see the stepped up version but better than that for many of you…the dimensions and all of the tips and trick I did to make this clean and simple card! I can’t wait to hear how you like this card…I think it is a great way to KICK START Holiday Cards as I have really not shared a bunch yet (Truth be told, I found it hard to get int he mood for the Holidays when it is 95 degrees!) 😀
Again, many thanks for all of the comments yesterday – it was great fun to read through them. I will say, at least I found that I had other friends on the Island of not being a fan of that Paper Pumpkin Kit last month…..BUT….
I hope it showed you that there are ways to take something we have….change it to make it work for you! I think that the thing I liked the least about the kit was the paper, I am a traditional paper-crafter and it was just not my favorite but I loved the sentiments and floral stamps!
See you in the morning….I am excited for your feedback!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this card – the detail of the pine boughs stacked this way is just stunning! This is a KEEPER for sure! Happy weekend!
YIPPEE…this was easy to do, I used glue dots to be my anchor…it doesn’t get any easier than that!
Very pretty card today, Susan. I like the different colors for the pine boughs and the ornament with the sentiment. So pretty, but I am looking forward to tomorrow’s version. You are always so creative with every little detail. Have a great Saturday. Stay cool during this heat wave.
Thanks for the comment. It was funny, this is the 1st time that I used these framelits and I was just playing around and using up scraps! Once I was on a roll and “getting it” onto how best to get those delicate pines out of the die…I thought WHY NOT – just put all colors of green together!
There is a reason why “classic” always works. Your pine boughs and the lovely red ornament are timeless. You don’t need to change a thing, but as always i am eager to see what you do tomorrow to step-it-up on Sunday.
I like the way you think! Classic will never let you down! I am smiling!
Susan, I love this card. It is a real keeper. I love the ornament with the sentiment over it. Wow it is really pretty. I agree with everyone. It does not need a thing. The envelope. Is stunning. I can not wait to see what you do tomorrow. Have a great day. Ellen Hinds
Thanks Ellen, I was so happy that Stampin’ Up! carried over the delicate ornaments…the way that I look at it is, why not? Ornaments that are as beautiful as these totally deserve to sick around! I always love the idea of being able to add some color behind. it is so fast and easy! Thanks for popping by my friend!
Beautiful card! I love everything about it!! I don’t know how you could possibly improve it:-). Thanks for the inspiration!!
Well this is the thing about these 2 day posts…there are times that people like the Saturday and vise versus – this was so easy….I just was cutting out the pines and POOF – it came together!
THIS is simple?? And you’re still going to STEP IT UP??? Can’t wait!
I am smiling….I love it when you are in the house! I was laughing as it was just too darn simple to create something so lifelike! Pop back and see….
Congrats to Karen! Very elegant, classy card! Love how you layered the pine boughs and, like everyone else, I can’t wait to see your stepped up version tomorrow. It would be so much fun to have stamp camp retreat….lot of work but if we all pitched in…hmm. Stay cool?
I would LOVE to do a STAMP CAMP and trust me, if I could figure out the perfect spot…I would do it in a New York second….I would love to have a group of passionate people together having FUN!
Congratulations to Karen!!!!

Pretty pretty ! I really like the theme . Wondering what you are going to add ???
Love my DSP Series assortment from you . What a savings instead of the large stacks !
and last ,but not least congrats to Karen !!!
Thanks Sonny and we all know it is hot as the devil right now but hopefully this brought a sign of peacefulness! Thanks for the shout out about the DSP Stacks – they are the best and always so popular with the shares! I adore that patterns!
I love this card Susan!!! Very classy! You are not helping my budget at all!!!!?
Oh Ramsey, I have a huge smile when I see your comments! You come up with some great zingers! I hear that we are going to have a date? Hang on to your hat – Jeanie is a HOOT….we will be 3 creative non stop chatter boxes – sounds perfect to me!
The holiday pine bundle is HIGH a top my wish list. This is quite the classy card! Gotta dash!
Isn’t it the best! I think that Stampin’ Up! outdid themselves with this bundle. Classic and timeless to the max!
Lovely card today Susan! Love the elegant classic look.
Thanks. I will say that it is in the running for one of my holiday cards!
Congrats to Karen, it is always fun to win something. Ted’s lips are still a little swollen but he is fine otherwise, tired from the medication though. The card, simple – well it is more sensational than simple if you ask me! Simply gorgeous. I want to run my fingers through the pine needles. Is that mint macaron too? Who would have thought? Maybe a touch of wink of stella on there for tomorrow. Otherwise, maybe a copper or gold mat instead? I thought it was copper on the ornament but wasn’t sure. Looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s version.
Poor Teddy, he will be getting some mail this week!!! This happened to a Black Lab we had, it was terrible as her throat swelled so bad as we were driving her to the vets….we arrived just in time! Go to the grocery and get him a “frosty paw” – I know that they are expensive but her deserves it…..poor guy!
p.s. – SOOOO happy you liked the card! Mission accomplished!
Yay for Linda!
This is a classic card and so eye-catching! Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s version!
Everyone is so sweet in cheering for Linda! So glad that you liked the card, it made me smile!
I think this is a Great card. Easy enough but fancy enough. It look like a lot of fun to make. Definitely a keeper
?
BINGO….you nailed it, it was a bunch of fun to make! It is a great way to use scraps. What I would do it….when you have time just start cutting out a bunch of the pine…put it in a container until you need it!ALL COLORS look great!
