Here is to another week that ZOOMED by but I certainly hope that you do not let this sweet card ZOOM by without taking a good hard look at it! I think that it is super sweet…and Lord knows the sentiment that I stamped tone on tone in the back is a keeper “You’re kindness makes a difference” – WOW…you know how I feel about kindness…..we all need to spread it!
Let’s have a chat about the stamping of this sentiment…CLICK HERE to see how I did it (actually with this same, wonderful stamp set) BUT I did it in Versamark…TODAY I did it in So Saffron…the same color as the card stock!
Do you remember I shared with you that it all depends on the paper? Well, I tried it first with the versamark and it just did not do it for me….then I tried it with the So Saffron, that did the trick in my eyes!
Below you will see the great image of this special limited edition bundle…and look close – can you see where I received my inspiration?
The inner “Picasso” tried to come out in me today and I did a quick…swish – swish in Soft Sky across the piece of Thick Whisper White (You can get by with this paper and the aqua painter….just double check as you go) and then I simlply let the great stamps from this set do the work!
In the final line up you will see the colors of ink that I used for this card….I bet that you already know that it is going to some special people that helped “my peep” before “Mother Hen” arrived last Friday! FAMILY… FRIENDS…(I hope that you can take a second and think and give thanks for those (2) F’s in your life – they are the best “secret weapon” we all have!)
Now to the SMILE….the liner – it is from the Fresh Fruit DSP and I thought that this was the perfect compliment to this sweet card. Please do not take it for granted that what we do DOES NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE….because it does….
Here is your 411 – “Operator Assistance” to CASE this card…how doesn’t like “help sheets” – I sure do and I hope that it is a help to YOU.…but remember, I have the total line up att he end of the post!
I hope to see you back here tomorrow because I have a TRICK up my sleeve….I know that you will like it as heck – you always like it when I do a 2 day post!
Please do not forget what today is….it is the Opening Ceremonies for the Olympic Games….we are having a “Brazilian Themed Dinner” and I will be glued to the festivities! Do you enjoy watching the Olympics???? I think that it is just wonderful to see the talent, dedication and sheer excitement from all over the world!
Good Morning Susan, The card is beautiful and now I am one step closer to ordering this set. I love the colors and have not seem them together very often at all. Love the sentiment, the two birds and the 2-Fs. 🙂
I am always glued to the TV for the Olympics. They bring back great memories of watching as a child and watching with my girls. I hate to be a downer, but some sad memories are coming to mind also . . . people who I used to watch the Olympics with, over the years, have moved on and I miss them, especially now. Tonight I will watch with a lighter heart knowing you too are watching, GO USA!
🙂
Adorable card. I got this set and I love what you did with it….just makes me want to keep using it. So many thoughts, so little time (at least today). I will be watching tonight too. I always feel so emotional when I see the unity of the nations coming together. Can you imagine being there? Thanks for today’s post. Kindness does matter!!!!?
No two ways about it–I love this card! And, yes, the Olympics will be on at our house, too.
Great card! I love your reminder to use Stampin’ Up! for inspiration. It often leads to original masterpieces! Preparing to be a couch potato starting tonight!
This has to be one of the most versatile stamp sets ever and you’ve showcased it well. I love all the sentiments on it and the one you’ve chosen sure fits the bill. So special. Yes, I’ll be watching tonight–the pageantry of the opening ceremonies always amazes me.
Love your card today, Susan. The recipients will be thrilled with your thoughtfulness. Yes, we’ll be watching the opening ceremonies. Always love to see how the host country entertains us.
Love this color combo! I am looking forward to watching the Olympics as well!
Sweet card with wonderful colors. Love the tone-on-tone background treatment.
So many wonderful touches! I like that greeting stamped subtly in the background.
What a sweet and cute card! The tone on tone background is my favorite. Love the envelope treatment as well as all the other details on the card. Olympics, well we were able to attend some of the Olympic Festival when we lived in Houston. That was at least close to the real thing – sort of like the pre-Olympics for the Americans. I know Simone Biles’ mother – she was the head nurse on the rehab unit in Houston where the doctor I worked for was the director. So, that is sort of fun too. Looking forward to what’s up your sleeve for tomorrow!
Nice Card Susan. Can’t wait to receive my stamp set !
