BOO and Happy first full day of Fall!
Is it Fall weather were you live? I know that yesterday at 10:21 Eastern Time is was official…but…..It sure isn’t on the East Coast but on Sunday…magic is to happen (so the weatherman says) and I am looking forward to wake up and say….IT FEELS LIKE FALL and then I am going to go outside and do a Happy Fall Dance with the dogs and hope that cool and crisp weather is here to stay (I just love to dream) 😀
I am a “Happy” type person for Halloween. I am not a huge fan of scary stuff so when I share Halloween Fun…it is usually “Happy and Fun” things…like I have for you today!
Today I am showcasing the goodies that were in the latest Paper Pumpkin! Click on the image below to see the Stampin’ Up! video showcasing it – super short yet super cute and then I will share and show with you some ideas and ways that I have used this kit.
I was a “Silly Susan” and totally forgot to order extra kits for September as this one usually tends to be a SUPER GREAT Halloween one that is FUN but you better believe that I will be like a hawk waiting and watching to see when the refill kits are available – (I did call yesterday to see if I could get any scoop and all I know is that yes ~ they plan to have some refills….but as to when????, that is the mystery….probably next week.)
You bet that I will order a bunch of refills as I just love to have goodies like this on my shelf! You can see in the picture below that I am using the Paper Pumpkin from last year! (This is why I like to stock up on refills – super cute) I fill these with miniature Tootsie Rolls!
TIP ALERT….. 🙂
When I was typing this I thought…what the heck – go back and see IF by chance the kit from last year was still available and guess what ~ IT IS!!!! (I highlighted the link for you above)
If you are a newbie to the Paper Pumpkin Program, you can get the 1st month (which would be October) and then you would get November FREE! If you wish to cancel your Paper Pumpkin Kits….easy, after November 10th – simply go on and cancel – POOF…it is that easy!
If you click here and order a month’s subscription and enter promo code BOGO , you will get that November kit free PLUS….you will be able to order the last year Halloween Kit and/or refill if you wish and fingers crossed……this adorable test tube one form this year! A win-win all the way around!
You can see that I followed the directions from the kit but then I also made a quick super quick and easy note card….
You all know that I love the Note-card Size of Whisper White that we offer but for today’s card – I cut my own card stock to make a vertical card (I have no idea why I did not just use the fold on the left…but just call me silly) and I paired this up with the fun Halloween Paper we have as well as a speed tool, the banner framelits to make this sweet card!
There you go….some Halloween fun from the present as well as the past (last year). I adore both and projects like this are fun to give to all ages…What do I have in the test tubes? You will be surprised but I had them at the house….the are dark chocolate covered espresso beans – Hannah loves them and I bought some last week to send to her!
I am excited to hopefully get more of these test tubes! Hannah works in a Science Lab and wouldn’t this be PERFECT to send her a bunch to give to co-workers…I have a vision already – a basket filled with them and then a cute card/tag – BOO – HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about the Paper Pumpkin Incentive. I am out of town until Sunday morning but I will check my email as time warrants! Have a great day and I hope that this Halloween post brought a smile to your face!
I, too, like Happy for Halloween, instead of scary. Love the picture of the dog in the pumpkin!! Too cute! What a great Halloween card you have for us today. It will be great for Hannah and the test tubes with candy is perfect. Her co-workers will be thrilled with a pretty, little surprise. Have a great day!
Love the dog in the pumpkin! So adorable! What a great idea for a Halloween card….I look forward to the “alternatives” when a PP comes out. My brain hits the snooze button trying to think of different takes. Thanks, Susan and have a “boo-tiful” day (couldn’t resist)!
Your doggie picture is adorable! Caleb says he isn’t sure how they got the dog to sit in the pumpkin since its “gooey” inside there. Apparently I haven’t done a good job explaining Photoshopping to him. 🙂 I love the card you made with your extra paper pumpkin supplies. I’m also hoping that we can order refill kits because I want to give these to Caleb’s classmates for Halloween and I’m short about half a dozen test tubes. I put Nerds in mine and it turned out cute…it almost looks like bubbling “liquid” inside. Today is Homecoming at our school and we’re forecasted rain all day. Hugs from our house to yours!
P.S. Right after Dan and Caleb left this morning I went to make a CASE of this card before realizing once again I didn’t get in on the first round of shares. I’m so happy you offered a 2nd round; I can’t wait to get them! I’ll have to see if I have any old DSP that will work in its place. Thanks for the inspiration!!
I need to get my thoughts together before I hit the post button. Tell Caleb that it was a plastic pumpkin from Walmart or wherever as they come in different sizes to accommodate the dog’s size! Also, until you get your shares an pumpkin pie polka dot paper would look fun or black and white and then color in the white dots with a pumpkin pie marker. I am sure you will think of something.
Tricia, if you just want the 6 tubes and don’t want the total refill kit, I can send you 6 of mine as I need 8-10 and I think there is 16 in the kit. Just let me know if you want them.
Now THAT is a non card set I would have LOVED and the stamps are super cute!!
I was super excited about this Paper Pumpkin. This kit is SO easy and turns out SO cute. I am keeping an eye out for refills too. Skittles worked inside, but I think I like the Nerds idea. Thanks for sharing.
Right now you can get mini-size boxes in the Hlloween candy isles (I got mine at Target), they’re a mixture of orange and white so it looks great with the SU colors. One small box fits almost perfectly into one tube.
Amazing showcase of paper pumpkin! The card is my favorite…
I love this month’s PP and your card is definitely case-worthy!!!!!!
I am so psyched I got in on your paper share… After a huge organizing of my craft room for the past few days, I am ready to get started on my PP and some more Halloween goodies!!!!
I love this post Susan!!! I have had two of my friends sign on for this months paper pumpkin. YEA! We got together and played the other night. We all love the test tubes and they loved the idea that you can make cards to go with! I can’t wait to CASE your card! Ramsey
PS, I still don’t know what I won but your goodies were a big hit at my first stampin party and the gang likes the idea of shares! Hmmm, I will have to get to work!
Susan, I had to laugh, the last couple of cards I made vertical and not sure why or what I was thinking but it always good to change things up! I love your card and I am CASing it but I might have to use something else since I don’t have the twine. I do have some fun Halloween ribbon that might work. The stamps in this kit were so fun from the sunflowers to the pumpkins. When I saw the tubes I thought of Hannah too! I am almost tempted to order a refill when available just so I have them on hand in case I want to make more or make some for next year. Maybe fill with gum drops or peppermints to go with this years holiday papers. Or, Happy New Year confetti, candy hearts for Valentine’s Day and jelly beans for Easter. Whoa, the sky seems to be the limit if they fit in the tubes! Love the stamp that says No Tricks – Just Treats too! For the first day of fall we had 90+ degree temps here!
Hi Susan, I don’t know how I missed your email this morning. Can you believe it is 9 p.m. and I’m still up. Had to just let you know these are really cute. I can’t wait to work on my kit. Looking forward to the weekend.
🙂
