Good Morning and boy…do I have a new tool that I love and I guess you might just need to do some retail therapy! You know me by now – when I find a product that makes things easier for me when I craft… I love to share my findings!
Trust me, I have tried…purchased…given away…and returned many “weapons” (as I like to call them) that are to help you with picking up small objects. I can hear many of you right now…saying – “I have this and I love it or that never happened to me” and trust me, I believe you and I get it.
I think when we craft we use what works for our personal needs. Everyone is different. I have had many products that I adored and then over time I found that they just did not hold up or perhaps my needs have changed etc…I am sure you can understand where I am coming from.
One thing that I always need to have in my work space is something to pick up small pieces of paper that I want to adhere…or a sequin…or even a super thing strip of paper that my fingers just can’t grab.
Here is my new friend, the Jewel Picker. (I giggle with the name) I have linked to the one that I purchased from Amazon but when I went to find the link for you last night I see that they have one with just “one end of picker” that is less expensive, here is that link.
Below you will see the picture (sorry for the shadows) I bet you are saying why do you have 2? Easy – after I tried it out I loved it so much that I bought another one to have in my “on the go bag” – a tip that I learned from Jeanie.
She is a hoot and boy when she hears – do you want to go and craft???? She has a bag packed and ready to rumble….a gal after my own heart!
I know that there are some people out there that do not care for Amazon (and I totally respect that) but the main reason that I share links to Amazon is out of convenience – they simply carry just about everything and it is easy for me to share with you.
I have tried many, many different “pick me up’ers” but this one had won my heart! There you go, a tip from me to you! 😀
NEW TOPIC: Holiday Catalog Product Share!
Yesterday I emailed everyone that has requested a Holiday Catalog Product Share so if you did NOT receive an email confirmation from me, please email me as it could have been a simple “miss on my end”
You still have time to get in the 1st wave of my Product Share so no worries if you have not emailed me.
The cut off for the first wave is this Sunday, September 3rd. I will be doing a 2nd wave of Product Shares but that not be until the 3rd week of September. I need to budget my time for my monthly kits so please if you want to get in with the 1st round, email me on or before September 3rd and please put in the subject line HOLIDAY PRODUCT SHARE so I can spot it quickly!
You can click here to see the Product Share offering for the new upcoming Catalog that comes out THIS Friday, September 1st!!! (woot-woot!!!) I get asked often to show my “tin” that I keep my swatch books in…so here you go! This little puppy has all of the Annual Catalog as well as the new upcoming Holiday Catalog in one tin!
When I think of the items that I use in my work area the most…these are on the TOP of the list…you will be amazed at how often you reach for them! They are simply the best! Everything you need is at your fingertips and it save so much “mess” in pulling out sheets of paper to see if they coordinate! They are share #1 of my offerings!
Product Shares are the best “bang for your buck” as you will be squealing when you see that Priority Mail package delivered to your door. It IS like Christmas because you have everything at your fingertips at a fraction of the price if you were to purchase them individually.
With the Holiday Catalog being such a “short selling season” – this is the way to go….Click here to see the offerings and email me if you want to get on a Product Share. You can also see the drop down box on my Blog Header.
Have a great day and I will see you in the morning…it is HUMP DAY!
LOVE IT !! I have this and the Quick Stik !! Absolutely must haves !!
I love the Swatch Books because they enable me to browse through my dsp plus after the dsp has gone bye bye I can use the swatch on a card !!
I love dsp so I use the Swatch Books to help me be sensible in my choices plus you get to see the REAL colors instead of in the book colors !! Product Shares are fun to cut into 6×6 and do the ONE SHEET WONDER cards !! So much fun !!
Oh Sonny, you always make our days “SUNNY” – thanks for popping in….That quick stik…it has been “launched” many time across the room…so far, I love my “picker”
I have lived without one of these for years and the other day I ordered one! I can’t wait for it to arrive! I was worried I would not like it but with you and Sonny recommending I know I will be thrilled!
Oh My…I cannot believe that you do not have “something” to help you pick up the miniatures that you do! You will be saying daily – WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO GET ONE!
Just an FYI, they have these at Hobby Lobby and with the 40% off coupon they are really inexpensive. That’s where I got mine and it’s definitely my go to pick up tool.
Thanks Taasha….I just love it when we all can share! I bet they are in the jewelry section (DAH Susan) as I never venture down that aisle – coupons, retail therapy – LOVE IT!
I totally get what you are saying!! And been there, done that with trial and error and tossing or getting rid of. I loved the Quick stick until the first one gooped up and somehow the sticky stuff got stuck. So I got another. That one worked but I dunno why I stopped using it. I do love its plastic insert. Then along came the crystals and I got talked into the Crystal Katana. I understand that not everything works for everyone. I was willing to try a diff tape runner because my favorite Tombo mono dots constantly has to be refilled. I miss the large cartridges. So I tried what was recommended to be “the best” at a local store. Good thing I just bought one and was using on a make n take. It kept jamming so the lady gave me a refill incase it was defective. It still was a big hot mess for me. Back to my Tombo mono dots it is. I have a difficult time using the massive price gun – looking adhesive rollers because I have small hands and they feel heavy. I need to look into sone ATG one that many ppl love.
Your comment sounds like I wrote it….been there on ALL accounts! I adored that Crystal Katana (not the price of it) but it wore down and lost its umph!
This “picker” is a dream compared to that $$$ tool….
The adhesive piece??? Also been there – I wish that you could have seen me with that big “honker” thing – I could not for the life of me figure it out….I donated it!
I am a fast fuse gal….love it (after I had a love/hate with it) – you can’t beat the hold!
I love Tuesday Tips because many times it is a problem solver for me 🙂 I find a new product or a better way! Or I smile big when I realize I am not the one with frustration at times. And now I know if I need a new pick up tool, I know what to try and thanks to Taasha, my Hobby Lobby might have it.
Thanks….I love to share!
Oh yes, I too love this tool. I have others . . . hmm so much money spent on them too. Oh well, we live and we learn. I got to make two cards yesterday and I’m back in the groove. I am so excited.
Have a great Tuesday!
🙂
YIPPEE…..We should have called yesterday a TWO for TUESDAY for our Nancy! Good for YOU…..”me time” and completion is a great feeling!
Why buy? A little dried Tombo glue on the end of a toothpick works great for me. I call it “Stick Pick”.
Susan, I love your tips. Elmers spray bond changed my life! It’s so great for intricate die cuts. Sure works great on the Christmas cards I’m making with Santa thinlit die. You’re the best.
Thanks Sharon….I hear you and yes…I have tried that and it does work but I found that my little blob fell off and I agree that it is a great, free option as we LOVE our green glue!
For the Elmers…yep – I do love it…I keep my little box and wax paper handy!
I suppose the old spit (saliva for those more sophisticated) on a finger tip does not quite cut it. Hey, I am cheap and that would be one more thing for me to keep track of or have it upstairs when I need it downstairs. I suppose I should put it on a list to possibly get in the future…now where is that darn wish list?
You can NEVER go wrong with DNA…..it’s free each and everyday! You are just too funny, we appreciate you and your humor!
I am to please!
Oops, Ted is pushing on my arm to go – I meant AIM to please.
Thanks, Susan, for this great tip. Like others, I have spent money on other products that don’t work now. I’m looking forward to getting one of these to solve this problem. You.are.the.best!! Thanks. Enjoy your day!
We have all been in that camp….buying, trying, buying…trying! There are so many great options out there and when I find something that I like…I love to share!
