I think I can…I think I can….

This is the way I felt last evening….I was trying and trying to get up that hill to blog and it simply "wasn't there" – I ran out of steam – I rounded up the dogs and called it a night!

I think that I was a bit over excited creating, doing videos and having fun that I just ran out of steam but I will post around noon and it will be the February Stamp of the Month Kit.

I was getting some "Grey Hairs" over this as I always strive to create something special and I think that you are going to be happy with it!

Thanks for understanding and until later!

A fun little valentine!

IMG_5785

I realize that Valentines day is right around the corner, but just in case you have this stamp set – I thought that you would enjoy this super cute card…and if you do not, no worries, look at the concept of this card and adapt it to a stamp set that you want to work with!

This is what I call a "formula card" and one that you want to keep in your layouts for the future – WHY??? 1st why not? and 2nd…you will be able to adapt it with so many cards and themes…just change up the color, paper, ribbon etc!

IMG_5780

This is a regular A-2 Card and then I cut a smaller piece, just 1/4" smaller and then ran it through the big shot with the new Happy Heart Embossing Folder (this is a great new addition)

Because I was using the Blendabilities I used the Memento Ink to stamp the image and then POPPED it out using the Banners Framelits (! used the 2nd to the largest). After having a ton of fun coloring, I adhered it to a scrap of Marina Mist and then cut it just a bit larger.

I did not use the largest Banner Framelit as it was just too big…so there are times that we just need to adapt to what works!

IMG_5783

To me the super fun part of this card is the pom-pom trim! I have had several people email me and ask me what can you do with that? I just love a good challenge, this was super easy as I used Bakers Twine and made the 1st part if tying a bow…laid a piece of the fun trim and then finished my bow.

Today I used three pieces of bakers twine to make the bow, I think adding more really makes the bow pretty and festive!

IMG_5781 IMG_5776

The only thing left is the envelope. I thought that this print paper from the Sale-a-Bration collection, Best Year Ever was perfect to keep the theme of the card. I have neglected the Envelope Liner Framelit so out it came and with the help of the Big Shot – instant beautiful envelope!

IMG_5777

I thought this was a fun and fresh card. The little fish are so darn cute and the sentiment is perfect for the teachers out there!

IMG_5756

"I'm singing that song"…."I'm so happy…happy…happy" but this card was from one of my dear friends 50th Birthday! I just LOVE these sentiments and as I blogged yesterday….these are the "keepers of all keepers" and I highly recommend you purchase this as a bundle! It is called Crazy About You and I am crazy about it!

Remember, when you purchase things as a bundle, you will save an instant 15%. This stamp set is an array of fabulous sentiments that will surely fit many cards that you make but to  me – I just adore these simple words…

Todays card is another 5" square card and I used the "happy" that was left over from my Thank You card yesterday….but do you see what I did? I embossed the lower part of the white with the Zig Zag Embossing folder (Remember its on sale just through tonight) This gives is a fun textured effect for the "happy" to sit on!

IMG_5761

Another great and new addition and it also is a bundle called Celebrate Today….it is another keeper as this just makes you "happy" when you see it!

After cutting the balloon out I stamped it with the same color, Rose Red with the polka dot stamp. You know that I adore polka dots….so I just could not resist! I inked up with blushing bride and carefully stamped to creat a fun pattern.

I made a couple of "boo-boo's" but no worries – a quick heart from the itty bitty accents punch covered anything that I did not want seen…..

IMG_5757

I love the fact the the balloon framelit has that great end to it – the perfect place to tie a piece of bakers twine…I have been in a "kick" with Bakers Twine…it truly is the best bang for your buck!

IMG_5765

Isn't this just fun! I was tickled with this card and I think that I am going to make up more (like I blogged about yesterday in doing it in steps)…therefore I will have a great "stash" ready to go!

I probably should have used the same embossing folder for the back flap but again, I love my dots and this too is on sale – just through tonight! Click here to see the weekly deals…..

You know that the moral of this bundle stories is….you should click here and build your own starter kit….why? – you can get $125.00 worth of ANY product and only pay $99.00 – it ships for free and you can be done…or place an order and get a 1 time 30% discount….please feel free to email me and we can talk!

You can be like me…a "Silent Demonstrator" as I did not tell a soul except John and Mary (of course)…I say why not ?- there truly is nothing to loose and the best part is – you will save money!

Let's have a great week…..until tomorrow!

Your comment is a true and heartfelt testament as to the specialness of what we do!

Please make sure that you pop back tomorrow as I think that you are going to like the card….I will be using one of the sentiments that  was cut out of the middle from the card I showcased today!

It's SUPER BOWL time……see you in the morning!

Big…Bold…FUN!

IMG_5507

Good morning! Can you believe that the 1st month of this new year is already over!?!? YIKES…I think that the older I get, the faster and faster that calendar rolls! I will do another post later today for the BLOG CANDY winner….

A great BIG "thank you" to Mary Fish for having me be her guest stamper today! If you are popping over from Mary's blog…a BIG "welcome"…I think that we all can agree that Mary is one special person and it is always an honor to be a guest stamper!

Today's card is a super clean, classic and just plain FUN card to make! I made up a dozen of these the other day as my goal today while watching the Super Bowl was to get some "Thank You" notes written.

These are super easy to come together and if you follow my blog, you have heard me say before…DO THINGS IN STEPS! What do I mean by that?

Well…I knew that I wanted to make a dozen of these…so…break it up so you do not get stressed –

  • One sitting, I cut all of my card bases (it is a 5" square card) and also cut the layers (Soft Suede is 4 3/4", the Blushing Bride is 4 1/4" and the White is a 4" square…..
  • Next time I sat down (trust me….I have been doing a lot of sitting with my broken ankle), I ran all of the white pieces through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder (remember, it's on sale through tomorrow evening)
  • Next time I sat down, I did the framelit cutting of "Thank You" – these is from the Crazy About You Bundle and I will say…this is the keeper of all keepers… –

I definitely would purchase this as a bundle. You can see that the framelits sentiments are stellar and the variety of sentiments in the stamp set are endless – just love it!

I do realize that it is a pricey item but you will use this over and over….and you are sooooo close to a free Sale-a-bration item! (plus a "Paw Print" from my rewards program)

  • You can see that the word is "thanks" – I just snipped of the "s" to make it work for my needs and also in the below picture, you can see that I do not waste paper!

IMG_5701

  • The next time I sat down…I wanted to save more paper as I have the space in the next layer…now I cut out the words "happy and hello" (Just think of all of the cards I can make by planning ahead)

IMG_5705

  •  Next time….I cut out all of the paper for the envelopes and went ahead and put them together! That envelope punch board makes it a cinch and naturally I had to line my envelopes!
  • Finally – time to put it all together…now I have all of the elements together…cut and ready to just be assembled! The key lifesaver to me is the green glue and the Silicone Craft Sheet.

TIP – remember, if you have too much glue on the sentiment…JUST LET IT SIT FOR A BIT…then it will go on – stay strong and there will be no "oozing"

IMG_5524

  • A couple of fun flowers to add some interest….remember to use your stylus to lift the petals up….it always gives such a fun and fresh look…and oh  – a pearl is a must…the PERFECT touch!

IMG_5522

Well…can you see how to break down a project to not only make it doable but something thing that you can accomplish! Please pop back tomorrow and you will see what I did with the "happy" I cut out!

It was super fun to make these cards n a variety of color combination! These cards just make me happy…and it is a card that will certainly make someone smile!

IMG_5742

Thank you for popping by today and have a fabulous Sunday…..it is RIBS and lots of yummies for John and I today! (heck – why not….it's Super Bowl Sunday and Monday is tomorrow)

I will post another post later with the winner of the blog candy! Thank YOU for popping by and thank MARY for sharing her time with me!

Stampin' hugs….until tomorrow!
