Another parade of beauties….

Here you go…more inspiration to the MAX! I am so darn tootin' proud of your work! I really am wishing that Jeanie and I opened up the envelopes earlier as the good news is we would be smiling and CASING away the… -  bad news is….we would be way behind in the hecticness of the season!

I am trying to stay true to my "personal commitment" of not getting stressed this season….to enjoy the journey, embrace family and friends and not let the commercialism get to me.

Enough said….let's get to the goodies! ENJOY!

IMG_4863

Soooo darn tootin' cute! The colors are so fresh and fun and I love the "fun fold"… see below the inside sentiment….oops – I did not get all of the sentiment but you can see it is a keeper!

IMG_4861

IMG_4874

Ok…is this fabulous or what! I wish you could see how clean and crisp the edges are of this card! The "torn" paper above Santa and the Reindeers is a great touch and texture! Just the "pop" of color against the Black and White is a perfect accent!

IMG_4875

IMG_4909

Simplicity at its best! I could just snuggle up and look at this card with a cup of Hot Chocolate and Cookies….I just adore this stamp set and fingers crossed it will carry over for next year!

IMG_4848

IMG_4916

Christmas Colors at its best! Polka Dots always make me smile and I love the fact that this card "hides" the sentiment…great textures with the candy brads!

IMG_4918

IMG_4932

I think I took the wrong angle of this card (but I love it this way) and you will see why in the below picture….but this is stunning and Chris did a great job with the Paper Pumpkin! Way to go for taking it to the MAX! The accents of the rhinestones really makes this card "sparkle"

IMG_4934

Are you smiling….I sure hope so as I am….but I am also pooped but the best thing it is a "GREAT TIRED" as Hannah, John and I spent last night with my wonderful 83 year old Dad…We had dinner and a project to do.

The Holidays are hard since my Mom passed and Hannah and John put up a tree…decorated it as Dad and I worked together making his Christmas Cards…his job – Stampin Dimensionals and he mastered it!

Change of plans….tomorrow will be MORE cards…..please give these incredible "artists" some comments of love as I am so proud of all of you!

Until tomorrow!

A Parade of beauties….woot-woot!

I feel so darn tootin special! Yesterday was my first day that I opened up all of the card swaps and wow – I am kind of mad at myself as there are SOOOOOO MANY AMAZING cards…as I should have CASED away before I sent them out!

Are you ready……this is so exciting and please do not worry if you do not see your card here today as I will have another post tomorrow! This is just the start – I did not have as many as the last swap but it is a very bust time of the year for all of us.

Please make sure that you "take in" all the layouts, they can easily be adapted to be used all year long…let's get going!

IMG_4868

Jessica's coloring is fabulous and I love how she popped up the penguin. I forget about tilting the card stock – it looks fabulous!

IMG_4853

Cindy used the most AMAZING clear protective cover for the mailing of this card…..if you can share with us where you purchased them…they are great for keeping cards clean! This is a STUNNING card!

IMG_4852

Loved the simplicity of this! I used to never use Bakers Twine but now I am hooked – it is a super effective way to add bling….and oh so easy! This card makes me smile!

IMG_4870

These colors together are stunning! Someone is really going to be doing the Happy Dance with this beauty!

IMG_4850

This picture does not give this card the "justice" it deserves….I adore the scalloped edge and the glitter is wow! The details are great!

IMG_4878

The colors are stunning and the heat embossing makes it super special….love this tree and I could just grab these pears and take a bite!

IMG_4859

Adorable! The "pulled" cotton is incredible. These Trees have been the hit this year and the colors are bold, fun and bright!

I have a confession – I was going to share with you 10 today but I was on an AMAZING Pals call with Mary Fish and the PALS all talking about the NEW catalog and Sale-a-bration and my eyelids got very, very heavy editing your cards after taking pictures…..

But the GREAT NEWS IS…..you will have MORE tomorrow!!!! Aren't these wonderful… I am smiling from ear to ear and as proud as a new Mom with your talent! This below sentiment sums it up!

PPA Challenge…be “merry”…

IMG_4816

I know that we have all seen so many incredible Holiday Cards this season….but I just had to share this with you! I love the "formula" of it and it is a card that I made for my Dad to send to his friends! I hope that you enjoy this "merry" card!

I was lovin' today's Pals Paper Art Challenge and I hope that you can give it a try….I have turned it around a bit and I love the end result! Here is the sketch…have fun and I hope you play this week!!

Screen shot 2014-12-12 at 1.33.56 PM

This is my take on this …..I adore the Mossy Meadow for Christmas…I kind of feel sorry for Always Artichoke as that was my prior "go to" Holiday green.

IMG_4817

The base is an A-2 card card in Very Vanilla  and then the fun dots are just a 1/4" smaller….what a FUN backdrop! Whenever I can find a way to use the DSP Paper Stacks I will. They are always great as you know your colors will always match!

IMG_4822

Seasonally Scatter has been a favorite for many of you…and I must say – I hope that Stampin' Up! carries this stamp set over for next year! After stampin' the "merry" – all that was needed were some simple dots around the edge.

IMG_4823

Can you see that I adhered the 2 colors together and then ran it through the Big Shot with the FUN polka Dot Folder before popping it up wth dimensionals! I used sticky strip to hold the 2 papers together….so fast and easy!

IMG_4821

I think that we all know this…Stampin' Up! has the best ribbon……I first adhere a simple piece of ribbon and then added a simple knot with a glue dot to do the trick!

The envelope….I took a piece of solid Mossy Meadow and then ran it though the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Folder…PRESTO – instant fun!

IMG_4826

When you break this card down….it is super simple, classic and very easy. It can easily be adapted for so many different occasions.

Please pop by the Pals Paper Art website to see what the other Design Artist came up with…the ideas and inspiration are endless!

I adore your comments, I adore the time you spend with me and I appreciate your business with my super fun Stampin Up! fun!!!!! You can always shop 24- 7…..click here to have the "brown man" come to visit you!

More of my favorite things….

IMG_4827

Happy Tuesday…that calendar is BUZZING by…are you ready? I am not but I am not stressing about it….I just keep thinking that there will be a elf that comes and sweeps me off my feet and everything will be done PRESTO….(it's fun to dream!)

As I shared with you yesterday, I am going to bring back some GREAT stamp sets that are in the annual catalog that I think need to make another appearance on my blog….WHY? – cause they are fun and keepers!

IMG_4834

This is a hostess only set and these are always priced….WOWZERS!!! I will be blogging on Sunday about a new…..FABULOUS…."kit" from Stampin' Up! that will be available on January 6th that I know HANDS DOWN you'll love… and then you can have a class with me even if you live in Alaska or Florida….pop back on Sunday and you'll see why!

Here is the quick scoop on this card….this is a classic layout that can be easily adapted to so many sentiments we have!

IMG_4829

  • The card base is a Note Card Size….LOVE THEM!
  • The white top piece is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"
  • Using the big shot and Labels Collection Framelits I cut the center out with # 3 and then made a ring with Daffodil Delight with #3 & #4 and adhered it with the green glue!

IMG_4830

  • Love my stamp a ma jig…I stamped the "Hello There" in the middle with Strawberry Slush
  • Using lots of dimensionals, I placed the top part over the sentiment….(I love to see the dimension)

IMG_4831

  • Popping out several flowers from the itty bitty accents punch, the perfect touch….well – the pearl is the perfect touch!
  • Now to the fun finale….the envelope! I changed it up a bit today and I liked it….see the below scoop in the picture!

IMG_4836

This is a fun and different way to make the mailman smile….it made me smile and I hope that it did the same to you! I adore these paper stacks and there are (2) new ones coming out on January 6th, you'll love them and I will be offering a paper share so you can get a "taste" of them without having to buy the whole "kit and caboodle"

My favorite things….

IMG_4799

With Christmas right around the corner I am going to be showcasing some of my favorite stamps that we have in the current Stampin' Up! line over the next several weeks. They will be new posts but I think that they are so darn special and practical, that they need to be front and center to bring this year to a close!

Also, I will be doing (2) blog posts on the Christmas Card Swap…the cut off was on Friday but I thought that I would wait for about 2 more days to blog about them in case someones was hung up in the mail! (I am super proud of myself, I have not opened one of them as I know myself way to well….if I did – I would get nothing done except admiring your work of inspiration!

Today's card is focusing on a single stamp called Vivid Vases! I love that we have many "single" stamp….why??? I think they are a great way to get started with stampin' and they are to me a great "secret weapon" as when in doubt….pull it out!

IMG_4812

Coming out in the new Catalog, we will be having (4) new Blendabilities…..today I am showing you the soft sky….it is a beautiful blue and I paper pieced (3) of the vases with the Subtles Designer Series Paper stack. This is so simple to do – just stamp on the DSP and then "fussy cut" it out.

IMG_4806

This is as simple as it gets and it is a great example of just keeping it clean works! You can change up the colors to get a totally different look and feel!

IMG_4804

Here is a sneak peek of (2) of the Blendabilities….Soft Sky and Pink Pirouette….I am so glad that Stampin' Up! is coming out with softer, more pastel colors for Spring! With the new catalog, there are lots of new stamp sets that lend themselves to the blendabilities!

I realize that they are an investment, but most things in life that are worth it, are an investment. You can earn FREE Blendabilities as a "pick" for a freebie for Sale-a-bration reward (the ones that are in the catalog except the skin tones)!

IMG_4800

The finale….the envelope. Carrying out the theme with the DSP on the vases seemed to be a perfect touch!Let's talk about the sentiment….it is from another favorite of mine, Lot's of Thanks Stamp Set. This is filled with perfect setiment fit for sooooo many cards!

IMG_4811

I hope that this post brought back some memories of this great stamp. I think that when a new catalog comes out, the blogs are all filled up with the same stamp….and then it kind of gets "put away" It is my goal to remind you to use the many "keepers" that we have! This is a keeper in my eyes.

Feel free to email me and/or leave me a comment.I know that we are all getting super busy with the season../but I hope these flowers "brightened your day"

Until tomorrow….
