Every Wednesday, I have been showcasing you a card to inspire you for the holiday season that is FAST approaching! Every week…
I say – "This is in the running for my families card" but then again, I must confess that I create cards and projects that I LOVE and I LOVE INSPIRING YOU!
It's your lucky day as when I was designing this…I had a handy piece of paper and a pen handy to write you down the measurements etc….so CASE away and have fun!

- A regular A-2 card scored and the mats are: Cherry Cobbler ( 5 3/8" X 4 1/8") and of course…I cut out the middle of this = save PAPER when you can…and the focal card stock is the Neutrals Core'dinations Card Stock (5 1/4" X 4") When you read below…you will see that this paper is 30% off – woot-woot ….just $16.77 for the whole pack of Neutrals!

- The Core'dinations paper allows you to reveal a special texture using the Sanding Block! A gentle rub back and forth makes magic and depth happen!

There is the card for the week…What do you think?
Please leave me a comment or send me an email and let me know your thoughts! I can see this card in different color combinations….I just cannot decide what to make for our family?!?!

I am a “Happy Stamper” as I have shown you 2 very simple yet WOW cards (in my opinion) yesterday and today! I made this style of a card months ago with a “Thank You” sentiment!
Do you remember that I have shared with you…when you find a style and a layout that works for you…keep it fresh and handy for you to switch up the paper, the sentiment and BINGO-BANGO – you have a new card!
Why do we always want to reinvent the wheel…go with what feels good to you and you’ll be happy! I tried to find the original You Tube Video that I saw this on and I looked and looked with no luck!
Before we go any further….I need to say a BIG WOOT-WOOT to MaryAnn H. for winning the bundle of Thanksgiving Fun from my post on Saturday – click here to see it…..MaryAnn – I will pop in the mail to you today the 8 bags with the decorations for YOU! Thank YOU for popping onto my blog!!!!

Guess you’ll get stuck with my pictures and tips!!! Here you go…have fun with it and please share with me any cards you do making this! It is fun, easy, uses minimal products and can go with so many different themes!
- The base is Chocolate Chip an A-2 size but I scored it at the 5 ½” side and the Very Vanilla is 4” X 5 ¼”
- The Tangerine Tango Squares are a simple 2 ½” square…you can see – no wasting paper for me!!! I used a punch to take full advantage of saving scraps!

- The other squares are (4) of each pattern 1 1/4" in size and they are from the Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper…(This card is sooooo easy – it scary!!!!)
- Your best friend will be the grid paper!I used to think that it was only for Demonstrators ….silly me!

- I think I have had the same pad of grid paper since I started SU….I have a piece of plexi-glass over top of it so it very rarely needs replaced and I will say I use it a ton from measuring and lining things up! Just line up the 2 squares and adhere them together!

- After I adhere them together I put this on top of the Silicone Craft Sheet. I thought that thiswas a gimmick but it is a LIFESAVER and I highly reccomend you have one….WHY? = easy….when you glue or use a hot glue gun…your work will peel right off – LOVE IT!!!

- Next – the little squares! I recommend that you use Tombo glue on it as it will allow you to “wiggle” them around before it “sets” up! TIP: to the very top square do not put adhesive on the outer area as once you bring that last square down, you will need to place the top on over it…(then put a little squeeze of glue)

- Sentiment time…If you do not have this stamp set, hit the Shop Now button and give yourself a gift as you need this stamp set! The sentiments are super and the fonts are “spot on”!!! It is from the A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set and the sentiment of “just because” is perfect!

- After I have stamped the sentiment, I then put Stampin Dimensionals around the focal part and then covered the “hole” on the Very Vanilla piece! A simple Neutral Candy Dot was the simple finishing touch to the card!

- Envelope time – you know…the envelope liner framelit did the trick…again!!! That’s it…now get your supplies out and make this card!!!
Now wasn't that fun and easy! I hope your head is spinning thinking of color combinations etc…to me – this is PERFECT just the way it is to send to family and friends letting them know that you are thinking of them "just because"!!!
I thank you for popping by today and please share my blog with your family and friends! It is my passion and goal to inspire you to create works of art from your heart! I am with you if you need help…please feel free to email me!
Tomorrow is "hump day" and it is a Christmas Card day…..you will smile!!!
Until tomorrow…..
by Susan Itell | Nov 18, 2013 | Anniversary, Super Easy |

Today is our special day and I know that this post will go off before John sees his card!
Happy Anniversary to my best friend, the best husband in the world, the best Dad in the world, the best son..brother…I could go on and on….trust me – he is simply the best!
As I always say…he was the best "blind date" I was ever on!
This is my kinda card and I want to make sure that you understand how easy this is to do! I am going to give you lots of pictures and tips and I hope that it helps!
Sometimes I think that when you see a bunch of text and pictures, you "shy" away and do not try it – please do not…this is an easy card and it is super cute as it is sooo darn tootin' simple!
Confession of an honest stamper! Yesterday as I was driving, I did a mental picture of what I wanted to do for my anniversary card! John likes very clean and simple cards and I thought 3 hearts and a sentiment would be PERFECT!
I knew that we had a small heart punch and I thought – WOW this will be super easy….ROAD BLOCK…I cannot get the punch in the way I wanted it! YIKES – Plan B!

Here you go:
- The size of the card is a note card size (3 ½” X 5”) and then I cut another piece of whisper white the same size!
- Why did I do this…easy – hang tight, it will make sense as it is much easier finding ½ of 5” = 2 ½”! You can see that I took a ruler and made a pencil line straight down the middle!

- Next, make a ¾” pencil line from the top!
- Take the smallest Heart Framelit and place it as shown!

- I then made another line on either side of this heat at ¼” from the edge…this way you will know that you are even! (I know it seems like a lot of measuring, but trust me – it goes super fast and you will be much happier with the end result!)

- You can see that the hearts are perfectly lined up and no worries about the pencil lines…you won’t see them – just FLIP it over!

- I simply used the 1” circle punch and punched out circles to cover my hearts in Rose Red and Blushing Bride! Soooooo easy!

- Take the punched and stamped piece to your Stampin’ Trimmer! – cut off 1/8” on either sides (right and left of the hearts) and take a ¼” off the bottom!
- Coming down the home stretch folks…Stampin’ Vitamins to the rescue – Stampin’ Dimensionals all over the back to make it POP!!!

- The trademark to my cards is the liners! I can honestly say that I never…ever…send a card out that does not have a liner or a lined back flap! Using the envelope liner framelit and the Regals Designer Series Paper was PERFECT!

I hope that this card put a smile on your face today! I know that John is going to love it!
I thank so many of you that have been simply amazing in all of your well wishes and thoughts with him as he has been going through his rehap…he is doing GREAT and going to rehap 3 x's a week and being able to put weight on his legs with his walker!
He has been a TOTAL inspiration to me and the doctors said that they would like to see him out of his wheel chair within 3 weeks! He'll do it – he's determined!!!
Over the weekend I took him down on the C & O Canal and we took a walk…well I pushed and he totally enjoyed being outside and seeing the beautiful fall day!

Here is a fun and sillly picture of the 2 of us…love the fact that I Phones you can flip the camera around to do a fun "self portrait"

We had a great day together and I had a good workout as there are just parts that are paved!!! We laughed and had fun but most importantly, he was so thankful to be out!
Enjoy your day, I sure will as I am blessed to be married to the best person in the world!
Until tomorrow!

Julie Andrews I'm not…but these are a few of my favorite Stampin' Up! things that are bringing the upcoming holiday to a front and center of my personal projects that I will create!!!

Today’s post is focusing on 2 Stampin’ Up! products, the Festive Flurry Ornament Kit and the Endless Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set! The Ornament Kit is a limited edition kit and trust me – it will sell out FAST…they had a fun one last year that zipped away!

Confessions of an honest Stamper – when the Photopolymer Stamps 1st came out…I was not a fan….actually at all but now I am a transformed stamper and I ADORE them…I love them and I hope that they keep coming out with them!

There are not a lot of instructions today as everything speaks for themselves but I will say, they are both “keeper” products and remember to see my post from yesterday as with every order I receive until Monday at 9 p.m. , you will have a chance to win a great gift from me….please click here and see the post and then hit my Shop Now button and “fingers crossed” – you’ll win!
The Festive Flurry Ornament Kit will allow you to make 10 beautiful works of art and you can use them in many ways! I am showing you how to use them for a card, an ornament and also how you can hang it on a bottle of fun to give as a perfect hostess gift!
Remember yesterday I shared with you to please subscribe to Stampin’ Ups! You Tube Web Channel…we here is another “keeper” video showcasing this great product! I totally encourage you to watch this and it will make total sense to you! (I do recommend using a hot glue gun – so fast and easy!) Click here to watch!
Let's start with this great "bling" for a bottle and then can be used as an ornament….cute right!

One thing that I wanted to try out and it worked…I used the Festive Flurry Framelits and cut out my own snowflake in Island Indigo and then using the Simply Scored it works!!!! I wanted to see if I could do it myself and I could but it is so much easier just using the kit!

When there are done with looking at this beautiful piece of art on a bottle – it can be a fabulous ornament!

Project #2 with this kit! Let’s jazz up a gift! Not only do we have BINGO-BANGO boxes but who does not like to receive a gift that is beautiful! I adore wrapping gifts as I find that doing this is a work of art within itself!

There are so many inexpensive tricks that bring a package from average to WOW! How would you like to receive this!
Besides the ornament, I used the Decorative Window Gift Box and then using the Whisper White Satin Ribbon and also the Island Indigo Bakers Twine….the WOW happened fast! The sentiment…we’ll get to that later but isn’t is great!

Look at this from this angle…It is a beauty! I feel like when I put these gems together that am doing something super special as the end result is so beautiful!

# 3 of this great product! How about this card….it is a beauty and it is one that needs to be given to the "selected" friend that would appreciate this beauty!
I say wow and I would love to receive this!

Lots of fun products used here and when you look at it and break it down…so do-able! (YES – I did use the insides of the "mats" of paper to use for other uses!!!!) I am ALWAYS saving paper!
Now to the Endless Wishes Stamp Set…making 3 X 3 enclosure cards are one of my favorite things to make…these just make me smile! – How about you….don't you love the simplicity and ease of them!!!

Adding some simple "extras" like pearls and candy dots add that simple and fun touch! We all know that when we are giving a gift…there is nothing like a great liitle card like these to be the finishing touch!

We are going into the season of "let's get going"!!! You can see that Stampin' Up! has many products that make us shine!
I would love to help you shine! Please email me if I can be of help to you! I love what I do and I love helping YOU!
Have a great day and until tomorrow!!!!
by Susan Itell | Nov 16, 2013 | 3-D Projects, Thanksgiving, Things you just have to buy! |

I know what you are saying…of course – who wouldn't!

I will send you a package of 8 of them plus the decorations for you to do as I have them later in the post!!!
So cute for your Thanksgiving Table or simply to give as a gift of thanks! I will ship them to you on Tuesday so you will have them in time!

They are not only super cute, they are very practical and can be used for so many different things…just let you mind go wild…tuck gift card…candy….jewelry…a table favor…a name tag filled with a treat! Just have fun!

Do you remember several posts ago I made these great candy treats/name tags for my Thanksgiving Table…please click here to see that post as they are keepers and these little bundles will also be adorable on my table!
I am not sure what I am going to put in them…I am thinking some popcorn and stick a movie ticket in them for us to have a fun time while my peeps are home!

As you know that I have showcased the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit, there are so many differnt things you can do with the kits and as you can see on the top picture…I used pieces of it to decorate the box!

I have not even used 50% of this kit and I am having a blast! Below is another view of the box and I am using 2 products that are on the weekly sale….the Extra-Large Gift Box and the Gift Bow Die! Pulling it all together and using the "Birch Paper Ribbon" that is in the kit as well as the Chocolate Chip Ribbon….it made this a super WOW and practical box!

The thing I love about this box is that you can open and close it and not have to worry about unwrapping a ribbon! The paper ribbon bow on top was not only fun to make, but a jazzed it up with a Very Vintage Designer Button! Cute, right!!!

If you have not already subscribed to Stampin' Ups! You Tube Channel, I highly recommend that you do…they have great videos that will highlight and show you tips on how our products work! Click here and you can see the video on the Gift Bow Bigz L Die…

Confessions of an honest stamper…when I saw this in the Holiday Catalog I was not thrilled with it as I adore ribbon and I could not image how I would like a bow made out of paper!
The other thing was I thought it was a bit pricey and the I went to the PALS Chat Room and asked their opinion….WOW – I had a ton of emails saying….get it – I love it! Naturally I took their advice but now that it is on sale for $24.71… would definaely purchase it as it is really fun and easy!

Did you notice the I did a bit of stampin'? For both the Muslin Bags and the Box I used the Harvest of Thanks Stamp Set! It's a keeper for this time of year and there are many framelits that coordinate with the stamps…easy-peasy!!!

I have another gem that I just have to show you…..I was going to wait for another day but I could not resisit as it to showcases a product that is on sale this week! It is using the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon….this ribbon is SOOOOO HOT and it produces a WOW and it can also produce a sofy, warm feeling!

Isn't this just beautiful! Again 2 products on sale, the X Large Box and the Burlap Ribbon! TIP ALERT: It only take 1 sheet of Designer Series Paper to decorate the box…I say woot – woot and the 4 sides are 6" X 4" and then the top is 6 X 6! This is from the super yummy Season of Style Designer Series Paper Pack!

Not only did I use the Burlap Ribbon…I cut several pieces of the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon…laid them over the burlap before I created the simple knot!
The tag was a simple stamp and random cut – (love to do this to switch things up) and then matted it to a piece of crumb cake! The sentiment came from the Joy to the World Stamp Set and I hope that it finds its way to your house as it is a great sentiment stamp set!

Whew…I know that this was a long post but I hope that I have inspired you and also have found some useful and practical tips for your projects!!!
Remember to check out the weekly deals and please do not forget to hit the SHOP NOW button and you might be the lucky winner of 8 of those adorable bags along with the turkey tags and ribbon!!!!
Thank YOU in these weeks of Thanksgiving and I hope you have a wonderful weekend….
Until tomorrow!!!!
