First,
many thanks for all of the sweet messages yesterday with having my son come
home! He made it home safe and sound but is naturally very tired from the
journey!
I
simply love this sentiment as it hits the nail on the head! Laughing to me is
one of the best things to do and trust me, I seem to laugh at the silliest and
strangest things!
Today’s
post is what I am going to call….Tips on Tuesday and the focus today is going
to be with a tool in the catalog that I think is a “sleeper” to many of us…it
is the Color Coach!

I
ask you…how many of you have the Color Coach and then the next question is…how
many of you use the Color Coach! For just $14.95, this gem will be a “big
helper” to you when you are just having a tough time deciding on a color
scheme!
Today’s
card I knew I wanted to use the Calypso Coral (a color for some reason that I
forget about) and I went to the Color Coach and it is paired up with Chocolate
Chip and Wild Wasabi! I know that I would not have picked this combination but
I love it!

Take a minute and watch this great video from my wonderful upline, Mary Fish. This video shares with you the simplicity of why this is a great tool! I personally love the fact that you have a substantial size of the color swatch to play around with!
I
encourage you to try it…and if you have not purchased it yet and what to shoot
me an email with some certain colors – I’ll be glad to email you the color
choices the recommend and you can give it a whirl! Better yet, click here and you can order it from me today!
The
sentiment comes from the Stamp Set, Feels Good. I use this set quite often, as
the sentiments are great! I matted it on a piece of Wild Wasabi that I used the
Big Shot along with the Chalk Talk Framelits.

The best thing about the new 3/4" Chevron Ribbon is….you
can "play" around with it so much to get the look and feel you are
going after! A simple "Susan knot" did the trick for me today and the
array of colors it comes in is wonderful!

Confessing time….just as I was finished my card….I spilled something on my card and I was super bummed….then I thought – I simply do not have time to re-do this….then the light bulb came on…put a flower over it -out came the Boho Blossom Punch for a quick fix that actually worked in my favor!
I knew that I wanted to use this super fun designer paper, I Am Me, as I just love the polka dots and what better way to tie the card and envelope together! These colors and textures are fun!

I hope you have enjoyed today's post and I hope that you can have some laughter in your day! Laughing keeps us young at heart and I am convinced it also keeps you positive!
Enjoy the day and until tomorrow!

For all of you "Moms" out there…you know where I am coming from today! My oldest son is coming home and I cannot wait to see him! Will has lived in China for 4 years and even though he has been home for a week here and there….he is coming back to the states and will be teaching in Boston – I am SUPER EXCITED to have him closer!
Today's card will be by his bed for him to read a special note – a "love note from MOM" letting him know how special it is to have him home and how proud we are of him and all of his accomplishments !
Here is the highlights of this clean and simple card! The 1st thing I want to point out is that I used the Notecards and Envelopes…an item that you simply must have as they are lifesavers when you need something quick – plus they are a bargain – 20 cards and envelopes for $5.95 – WOOT-WOOT!!!!

This sentiment is just how I feel….as it is a "happy day" for my husband and I! This came from the stamp set Happy Day and but…is it a keeper!!!! It is amazing how simple sentiments like this can create such a great and effective impact! Another gem that should be on your "A list" to have!

The stamp set, Six Sided Sampler is the other "key" element to this clean and simple card. Now this is one that IS A MUST TO OWN…soooo darn versatile! Just Google samples using this and you will be WOWED! A quick stamp with Elegant Eggplant and a POP with the Hexagon Punch and then a lift with the Stampin' Dimensionals.…quick, fun, fast and DONE!!!

As you can see keeping things to a "minimal" it the key and fun factor to making this card special! I wanted to really focus on the "white" as I think it is always so classic!

The simple "bling" came from the 3/4" Chevron Ribbon in Crushed Curry( love this color)! I must admit…I was not a fan of this ribbon but not it is really growing on me…..it is super soft and you just need to "play" with it and it does amazing things! The simple Regal Button was the perfect touch!
The envelope came to life with the Regals Designer Series Paper….and the help of the new…Envelope Liner Framelit.…(hang tight – you can order it on Thursday)…

When most of you are seeing this post, my dear son Will is in the air on his long trek to the states! Please keep him in your thoughts for a safe journey….I am sure I will be a waterfall when I get to give him a big Mom hug!
Thanks for popping by and thank you for your comments! Let's all have a great week….
Until tomorrow……

Before you give me…"The Boot"…as I said that today I was going to do the pro's and con's of envelope lining….I realized that it was silly to do so before the new catalog is out as there is no way that I can "link" you to the items and also show you pictures of the new envelope framelit!
The new catalog launches on Thursday, August 1st and being that Thursday is the Pals Paper Art Challenge…I will do my envelope chat on Friday….sorry but I hope you understand and I also hope you enjoy today's post….I think it is really cute and fun!
I was SUPER happy that in the new catalog, the Bootiful Occasion Stamp Set is carried over as I love it and think it is just FUN!!!
On Friday, at my "other" job there was a Burgers and Bull theme party where we had a fabulous array of all different types of burgers and a mechanical bull! I wanted to send the "Guest Chefs" a thank you for sponsoring this fun evening!

Being a bit "square" – I pulled out the Square Framelits to make this fun happen! Please play around with these gems…I am super happy that Stampin' Up! continues to come out with more and more framelits! WOW – it makes it easier for all of us!
It is literally amazing with all of the different options you can do with mixing and matching different sizes to create the look that says "YES"!!! The best tip I can give you is….just pull out some scrap paper and play!

After stamping with Soft Suede, I "free hand" cut the boot out (without the sentiment) – set it aside to stamp the sentiment first! This simple "thank you" comes from the beautiful stamp set, Regarding Dahlias!

Tip….when you look at stamp sets….look at the BIG picture before you make a decision. At first glance…you focus on the big flower…when I first saw this stamp set… I was not super fond of the flower as it was SOOOO big – but I love the sentiments and I know that I would use them over and over….THEN I fell in love with the flower after seeing other ideas using them!

Adding Stampin' Dimensions to the back of the "BOOT" made it pop to first class fun!!! I thought come Regal Candy Dots would be a perfect bling that is masculine and fun!
As always….it's lining time! Love the effect it gives – the In Color Designer Paper was the perfect choice to make the card come to life! Using "my method" of lining was a cinch! (remember to check back Friday for the post on envelope lining!)
I hope that you enjoyed this "thank you" square card! The dimensions of the are is 5 1/2" square….and you know I love square cards!
Please share my blog with your family and friends and if you have not already done so…please subscribe to my blog – therefore you will not miss an inspirational and fun post!
Thanks for popping by and until tomorrow……

Today's post is a fun and fresh card for my daughter! Earlier this week I shared with you that she had her wisdom teeth out….she is doing great with her cute little chubby cheeks but I will say she is getting a bit stir crazy being in the house!
I put this card by her bed so when she wakes up she will get a cute treat from her Mom and Dad! Everyone likes going to the movies and being that it is nice in dark in a theater….who cares about her cute cheeks!
Well…..here you go with the scoop!!! I was tickled with how this turned out and just think of the endless possibilities you could do with a card like this…..a birthday…..when someone has a baby – a great way to give the siblings an outing….a thank you for a dog sitter….the ideas can go on and on and the color combinations can be super fun!
The stamps are from the super set called, That's The Ticket and the best thing is we have a punch, the Ticket Duo Punch that makes this an easy-peasy job!!! This is a WOOT-WOOT…how easy!!! TIP ALERT – on the more "solid" ticket stamp, use the Sanding Block slightly back and forth to allow the ink to give you maximum coverage!

There is simply no "magic" on how to do this…just do it! I did take the tickets off the edge (sides) of the whisper white and then trimmed it….so much easier than cutting the tickets before!
I did have a bit of a gap – so "ribbon to the rescue" , this is a discontinued grosgrain ribbon in Marina Mist ( I miss this ribbon….just love grosgrain) was the perfect fix! Making a "bow" in a different way using a In Color Dahlias was the perfect center to add a bit of bling!
The inside needed some tender love and attention! Using the simple, single word of SMILE will do the trick! This comes from the popular, Happy Day Stamp Set….an "A" list of mine! Tucking 3 of the tickets added that special touch and still left me plenty of room to write Hannah a note…..plus leaving her some "real" movie tickets!
Again, the envelope had a double-whammy treatment to make Hannah smile…( just think of how your mailman would feel) I added "real movie tickets" for her! The Polka Dot Parade paper is super fun on the outside of the envelope!

Another thing I love about this style of card is…..it is a GREAT way to use up scraps! We all know how many scraps of white paper we have!!! Stamp them out….punch them out….grab a baggie – and you will be good to go when you need a fun card/gift for someone!!!!
I hope that this card made you SMILE and I hope you know how much I appreciate your feedback, comments and support!
Please click here to order any of your Stampin' Up! products and know I am an email away….and better yet – click here to become a part of the most FUN thing in the world….a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator that truly lives by the motto of doing it YOUR WAY!
Please pop in tomorrow as I will be sharing my thoughts on the way to line envelopes!!!!
Until tomorrow…..

You know how the saying goes….when it rains it pours! I have 3 wedding cards that I need within the next 3 weeks! That is so unusual……
Classic and clean is the name of the game with this post! When I think if a wedding I instantly think of white or ivory…..Very Vanilla was the chosen one today!
Now…what better stamp than "Mr. and Mrs." for a wedding card! Using it in a minimal yet sophisticated way is the way to go….simple is always the best answer!!! I used the new In Color Ink of Baked Brown Sugar!
A simple stamp and then pulling out my main man, "Mr. Big Shot", along with the Apothecary Accents Framelits was a perfect silhouette for this focal part of the card! To add to this fun…using the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack and the paper piercing tool every other hole made this come to life!

After doing the "stampin' thing" I knew a bit of bling was in store…..but this is a simple, gentle bling of using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder to give it bit text and depth! Love the effect! I then added a quick and little mat of Baked Brown Sugar to give a bit of contrast!
A quick pop of a basic pearl was a simple yet elegant touch to finish off this card! Now to the envelope….as we all know I love my envelopes!

Time for a confession….I have a hard time using the Designer Series Paper of Soho Subway….( a bit too trendy for my taste) but I am warming up to it….

I do think that the liner I chose is beautiful with the card! I am sure that this super young couple will like this! I will say….just think about all of the different color options and designer paper options there are to make this a bit different every time!
Please go and check out all of the wonderful posts for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge…..there are sooo many great cards to look at! I do encourage you to summit a card…..I made this commitment to myself at the beginning of the year to do this and I am so glad I did….
Sunday will be the day I post on the whole envelope lining pros and cons…..I have something fun for Saturday…..I appreciate deeply you popping by….I appreciate your comments and I value you as a customer!
Until tomorrow……
