Now this is my kinda card! I love just about everything about it! Crumb Cake is one of my all time favorite colors to work with….WHY? It looks great with just about anything! If you put a neutral like I did today…..GREAT! If you put a bright color with it…..FUN! If you put a subtle color with it……STUNNING!
When you really look at this card…you can see how easy and do-able it is but at the same time the WOW and sheer classiness of it is there! The saying "less is best"….is so true many times!!!

The Big Shot and the Embossing Folders are what brought this card to life….and just think – how darn' simple! I used the Petals-a-plenty and the Fancy Fan Folders and then did a simple POP with the Postage Stamp Punch! How easy!
Lining then up and matting them on Crumb Cake was a cinch and I wanted to let the sentiment from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set shine….so I carefully stamped it on the bottom using the Stamp-a-ma-jig . Works like a charm every time! I was soooo glad that this stamp set carried over this year….it's a keeper!

Adding a bit of bling came from the Itty Bitty Punches and using the glue dots kept them in place! We all know "pearls are a girls best friends" so…..naturally they needed to make an appearance!
We know I needed to do something fun to the envelope…so why not see an embossed piece of paper on the outside of the flap!?!? Works fro me and it looks sooooo pretty! Because I knew that I was hand delivering this card – I decided to use the same embellishments on the outside….FUN – right???

I hope that this post inspires you that it is ok to keep things to a minimal…This card is beautiful and one that anyone would love to receive and cherish!
Please email me or leave me a comment on how you like it! I love the classic and clean lines it brings! I am super excited for today as we are having a PALS call on all of the scoop and feedback of the new holiday catalog….it is very special….just like YOU!
Thanks for popping by and until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | Jun 26, 2013 | Christmas, Super Easy |

Yesterday when I was at work and looked at the date and saw, June 25th….I went YIKES…the calendar is F L Y I N G by and in 6 months it will be Christmas!
Well…hang tight by fellow obsessive crafters – cause' when you see the new holiday catalog you are going to be "one happy stamper" but until then….I used the Christmas Santa from the "Tag it" Stamp Set!
This set is extra special as the is Stampin' Ups! Stamp Set that every purchase, they will donate $3.00 to the Ronald McDonald House…is that super awesome or what!
Can you say E A S Y – P E A S Y...this card is a cinch (and I know it might be a bit boring) but it is cute! The size of the card is from the Note Cards and Envelopes….do not overlook this gem – not only is the size great ( you don't have to write too much) but it is soooo economical – 20 note cards and envelopes for $5.95….WOW!!!!

Here is a quick run down on the scoop!
- I stamped the image twice…once in Real Red and the other in Garden green!
- I cut the "Santa" part out and layered it over the Garden Green piece (why stress yourself with trying to use the markers and get it perfect)
- The real red base is 3 1/4" X 4 3/4"….just a 1/4" in from the actual card!
- Drawing a pencil line in 1 1/2" from both ends…I used this as my "cheater line" for getting my ribbon just right!
- Now I am smiling BIG time with the liner….I just love polka dots and I am soooo thankful that the Polka Dot Parade was carried over this year! So much FUN!

Now how is that for a WHAM-BAM-THANK YOU-SIMPLE CARD!!! Can you believe that Christmas is 6 months away!!! Do you make a vow to get a grip on your Holiday Cards every year…well truth is…I do too!!!
Once the new catalog comes out and I get my paws on those goodies…I will inspire you…I get to pre-order the gems on July 1st and guess what…so can YOU!!!! How? – Click here and become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and do your "thing"
…. Y O U R W A Y!!!….
the Stampin' Up motto that is sooooo true and the best thing is no one else will ever have to know if you do not want them to…it can be your little secret but isn't it great to get things at cost!
Please email me and let's talk….I love what I do ( I think you have figured that out by now) and I would be honored to have you with me and on this fun ride with Mary Fish's PALS group! I am a part of her program….please check it out! It is called the PALS Partner Program and I am super thrilled to be part of it!
Scary to think that the calendar is right….so hold tight – until tomorrow!!!

Here is another square card…I just love being "square"!!! This new stamp set, Really Good Greeting, is just a fun stamp set! I love the fun and modern typesets they chose! When you look at the new catalog, there are so many fresh flairs of typesets….I think it gives a card a lift!
Have you even known someone that always works really, really hard but always seems to fall short! Well this card is for a dear friend that has just launched a very exciting business and it has reached a milestone that she never imagined could happen! I know that there will be a huge smile on her face when she receives this!
The sheer classic combination of the Very Vanilla, Basic Black and Crushed Curry really sets the tone for this card! The"patterned circles" came from the Afternoon Picnic Designer Paper and I punched them out with the 1 1/4 circle punch!
I must admit…I have been having a bit of a "brain block" with using the new 3/4" Chevron Ribbon…so instead of the "Susan knots" , I tried something a bit different!
Before I adhered the piece, I took a piece of the Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon ( my all time favorite ribbon to work with) and made 2 simple knots before putting a Regals Button on them!

I did a bit of "stitching" with the black marker to give it a bit of pizzazz! I think the circle are a "happy look"…kinda reminds me of balloons! Keeping true to my commitment this week, I did stamp the inside of the card and added 2 more of the designer paper circles! ( totally forgot to take a picture of the inside…sorry!)
Making the custom envelope was a cinch with the diagonal scoring plate! Start with a 7 1/2" square and score on all sides at 3 3/8"…take your paper snips and cut away the corner…add some sticky strip… – BAM….1 perfect envelope for a 4 1/2" square card! Naturally I added the same paper for the liner as was on the card….looks like the perfect finishing touch!

Bringing "sunshine" to someones day is so easy…if it is with a card…a simple phone call…a hug…a smile – we all have the ability to make a difference is another persons day! I hope that you go out today and make someones day! This is a goal of mine to do each and everyday, to get a simple "hello" or a smile in return is all I need!
As always, thanks for popping by and thanks for telling your friends and family about my blog! I would have never imagine a year ago that I would be doing this and I will say…true – it is a lot of work…but the work is paid back to me with your support and inspirations! I thank YOU!!!
Until tomorrow……

Being part of Mary Fish's PALS group is fun! I know that you have heard this a million times from me but today's card is just another example of why I love the inspiration I get from the PALS! We have many, many Chat Rooms within our group and one is a "Gallery" of ideas and inspiration!
Today's post was inspired by fellow PAL Susan Bohlen…I commented that I loved what she did and asked if I could "C A S E " away changing up things…I just loved it and I knew it was the perfect time to pull this stamp set off the shelf and I was tickled with my end result!
Here is the super card that the other "Susan" created…I LOVED the way she create the line around the edge! Unfortunately, Susan does not have a blog for me to direct you to…but Hat's off to a great card!

The first thing that I did a bit different was…this card is smaller than a regular A-2 card! The card is 3 1/2" X 5" and the Note Card Envelope is a perfect fit for this gorgeous card! Anther thing I did different was…I vowed to try to be better in embellishing the "insides" of my cards!

Yesterday, super PAL and friend Dawn Tidd, was Mary's "guest stamper"…Dawn is a wonderful, postive, creative stamper that I personally look up to! I love her style and I love the fact that she always "pays attention" to the insides of her cards! Please check out her blog as it is one that will warm your heart and put a smile on your face!
I left Dawn a comment saying that you are inspiring me to fazz up the insides of my cards…so there is never a better day to start change than on a Monday!!!
After you have all of the images already stamped on your Stamp-A-Ma-Jig template….this card is a BREEZE to make many! I think that this will be a breast cancer card for my group next month!
The stamp sets I used were Field Flowers and Too Kind… TIP: – Remember I always say I am challenged…well just in case you want to know – stamp the lighter color 1st with the "larger floral image" and then use a darker shade to do the smaller version! (you probably already knew that!!!)

I was also excited that I used "In-Color" inks…Crisp Cantaloupe, Strawberry Slush and Gumball Green are the key elements! They are super together!

Another way that you could obtain a totally different "feel" for this card…would be to "stamp off" on a scrap paper before stamping on your card stock…this would give you a softer look but I was very pleased with the result – I personally love the boldness and colors!
I look at it as 1-2-3…!!!
- Card
- Inside of Envelope
- Outside and liner of envelope!
Now…lets focus on this special envelope! Not only will the mailman smile…but the recipient will be thrilled! So easy….just take that extra 5 minutes – you'll be glad you did!!!

I hope that this inspires you and this is a "keeper card" in my mind……shoot me an email or leave me a comment and let me know how you like it!

You all are the best…..until tomorrow!
p.s. – did you notice something different I did with this card than I "usually" do…..leave me a comment and the 1st person to get it correct will receive the product that is the correct answer!
WOOT-WOOT!!!! At 6:46 a.m. Dorothy was "right on" – I am bow challenged and I was pround of myself!!!! I will send Dorothy a spool of the whisper white taffeta ribbon!!!
A new comment from “Dorothy” was received on the post “The PALS are "Too Kind"” of the blog “Simple Stampin'”.
Comment:
You tied the bow this time, Susan.

I
just love the expression of “Somewhere in the world it is 5 o’clock”…I have
been wanting to use this stamp set of Happy Hour in a bright and fun way for
some time and yesterday it just popped off of the shelf and said “USE ME”!!!
I love the new fresh colors that SU came out with! In this card I am using 3
of them and they blend together so well…Bermuda Bay, Strawberry Slush and Baked
Brown Sugar!
You
can see that my stampin’ man, “Mr. Big Shot” made an appearance twice! Once
with the Apothecary Accents Framelits and also with the Tasteful Trim Bigz
XL…(I realize that this a pricy item but remember you can get if for 50% off or
free) – ask me how! It always creates an accent of WOW…that is simple and
clean!

Because
of the rick-rack I thought I would carry the look on with using the Chevron
Embossing Folder…super cute and having this card mainly in white creates a
classic look!
My
other friend, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig was the “A Student” once again and naturally he
did not let me down! I first drew a line in the middle of the white
piece…stamped the middle glass 1st – then the ones on the sides!
The sentiment came from the
A Dozen Thoughts Stamp Set…a super set that will help you for many cards!!! I love the typeset of the
“bravo” – Doesn’t it make you want to raise your glass and say “cheers”!!!

Keeping
the “chevron” theme going…the envelope was lined with the In Color Designer
Series Paper…so fresh and clean!
I
sure hope that this put a smile on your face…it’s summertime and this card just
makes you feel the summertime fun of cool and refreshing drinks! I am a mojito
fan and I have lots of fresh mint growing to support my favorite summer drink!
Please
continue to tell you friends about my blog! I appreciate your support and I
appreciate your comments! If you have not sign up for a daily dose of
inspiration from me…please do so (upper right)
Enjoy
the day…make some memories and simply have fun!
Until
tomorrow!
