It is time for a masculine Birthday Card and I am still on that Square Card thing – today is a special day for me…it is my brother Todds 51st Birthday! I hope that your day is filled with sunshine, happiness and continued great health ( he better be looking at my blog!!!!) I must say….I liked the way it turned out! CLICK on it…it will look much better!!!!

I have been on a roll making super simple cards! How much easier could this be! The stamp set is, Priority Mail, it is a Hostess Stamp Set…..your asking… – how can I have that? Easy…you can host a card making class…be the coordinator for a Stamp-n-Stack…or simply put an order in for yourself and if your total is a qualifying order – than it could be yours! EASY RIGHT! It is super cute and the price is super great…for the clear mount set – only $12.00! Email me and let me help you earn this! Stampin Up now is offering a way for you to have a "cyber party" – simply share with your friends that you are having a party…they will use a special hostess code to give you credit and BAM – you are done! Email me and I will share with you how easy it will be for you to be a cyber hostess!!!!!

The color I chose were very rich and masculine: Crumb Cake, Night of Navy and Soft Suede. I 1st did a technique that I have not done forever( and I really like it – I just forget about it)…I heat embossed the "eat cake stamp"After I stamped my image using the VersaMark Pad i used the White Embossing Powder ….gave it a good tap-tap…the used the "Heat Tool" to set it…I just LOVE to watch the magic happen and see how the image comes to life! TIP: – I would highly recommend using the Embossing Buddy to wipe over your paper that you are using the VersaMark on…it will eliminate any static on your paper to give you a clean crisp image!

You can see how easy this came together….just a stamp…heat tool – fun & done…pop it out with the Postage Stamp Punch then I layered it with the 1 3/8" Square Punch….EASY – right!?!? Naturally I added stampin' dimensionals behind each square to give the card depth and WOW! Using the Neutrals Designer Paper to line the envelope was the finishing touch to this masculine card for my brother! Just let your mind go wold with different color combinations…..endless!!!!
Have fun creating and trying new techniques! There are so many times we get on a roll and forget about doing other techniques…I have not heat embossed for a long time – it was fun and I plan to do more next week! It really makes you feel like you are a really good card maker when you whip out the heat gun!!!! Ha-ha……Have a great day…..please email me to help you reach your goals! I love what I do and I love helping you!!!!!

Ok folks…I am starting to wonder what people were doing 9 months ago!?!? I have soooo many February and March Birthdays! This not only is a super card…it is a card that you can MASS PRODUCE and keep them on hand….just in case!
Super simple, mainly clean and crisp lines using the Stampin Trimmer, (which is on my YOU MUST HAVE LIST) and utilizing our punches! I have never "voiced" my thoughts about our punches…but being that I am not happy that we are getting a foot of snow today, I feel that I can voice it! HANDS DOWN, we have incredible punches…they punch and punch and are always super sharp and do their job! In this card – I used the 1 3/8" punch and the 1 1/4" punch. Just think of all of the different paper you can use!

I know this picture is upside down…but I did it for a reason! I wanted you to see how I placed the stampin' dimensionals under the packages but more importantly, I want to show you how I "fluffed" up the edges of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms Punch! The grosgrain ribbon makes is special!

One thing that I wanted to show you about this card is….where did the sentiment come from? Well…that was from Sale-A-Bration from last year…..but and soooooo the moral of this story is that you need to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration goodies while they are here!!!! Cute…right!!! I was tickled with how this turned out! Pretty much love everything about it…This is my kinda card! To me it is fun, crisp, and makes me smile! Doesn't seeing a cupcake make you smile! This is a very versatile stamp set and one that I would definitely have! The Easy Events set covers so many occasions and it looks super on all different sizes of cards! Looks adorable on smaller 3 x 3 gift cards and the look of water coloring here and there brings out your personality and style!

I used several different tools and tricks that make this car super cute but at the same time make is look interesting with the different depths and textures! I used the Chevron Embossing Folder to give the paper a bit of pizzazz with texture before layering it on top of whisper white card stock with "just enough" white peeking out to give it a finishing clean touch! After stamping my cupcake design with the Black Staz On ink, I pulled out dear old Mr. Big Shot and using the Labels Collection Framelits I cut my design out!
As you know…I love using the Aqua painter pens and this is such a quick and easy image to color in a snap! After using a larger Framelit, I cut one in half and layered it over the other and then used the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and used every other hole to make a perfectly spaced pierced frame around my "cupcake".

Once again, this card design can be used and duplicated for a variety of card themes. When you look at a card and see that it is a birthday card….look at the design further and figure out how you can change up the colors of paper and the stamp to make a completely different look! Why reinvent the wheel if you have a style and you are comfortable with it! Please click here and let me know how you like this card! I think it is so simple and basic but an impact all at the same time! As always, I lined the envelope with the Neutrals Designer Paper and POP goes my cupcake! Just love those Stampin' Dimensionals! Until tomorrow…..thanks for stoppin' by!

Now this is a fun stamp set – I instantly fell in love with it! Hannah and I wear Wellie Boots all the time and I knew I
would use that stamp tons….but I also knew the other 3 had endless
ideas as well! Just an all around fun stamp set!
This card did come together quick and I did play around with lots
of different tools….( you can see them listed below) The end result
put a smile on my face and I hope it does the same for you! The envelope

I wasn't sure how much I would use this stamp set…By the Tide, but I love it – especially for a masculine Birthday Card! But the show stopper to me is the lining of the envelope!

Yesterday was my Dad's 82nd birthday and I did not want to share it ( on the 18th) as he does check my blog ( well at least he says he does) but he is in sunny Key West so I thought this would be a handsome, masculine and special card to let him know how very special he is!
The rich colors of Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla make this a card of depth! As you can tell in the close up….I stamped the "words stamp" in Sahara Sand and then the Ocean Corals are in Crumb Cake, then I lightly sponged the edge and the overall body of the card with Crumb Cake!

The "Stamp-a-ma-jig" is the total save me tool for both lining up the "Happy Birthday" but also for the placement of the fish for both the card and the envelope! This sentiment comes form the Bring on the Cake Stamp Set, a perfect one for the perfect B-day message!

I felt that I needed a bit of texture so I added the Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon – my all time easy-peasy favorite as it is super easy to make bows and knots! Make sure you see all of the colors it comes in….a must have! Always remember – you can click away at the shopping button and your goodies will come straight to you!!!! How easy is that!

Now to the fun part of this card….I lined the Crumb Cake Envelope with the Very Vanilla and then stamped the "fish" stamp onto the liner….is that CUTE or what!!!! Please let me know how you like this card and please feel free to email me at anytime…..

I told you that this was going to be a busy week….3 birthdays, anniversary and of course Valentines! By now you know I am not a "fussy" stamper as I consider myself quite challenged when it comes to trying different techniques but I am super proud of this "camouflage" effect card – now this is WAY out of the box for me! Our dear friend Curt turned 50 on Valentine's Day and tonight we are going to a surprise 50th for him and being that he is a "Big Hunter" the theme of the party is "camo" and this is the PERFECT card! For once it will be great to not have to worry about what to wear…everyone is wearing camouflage!
I did a google search for a "Camouflage Birthday Card" and poof….one came up from a SU demonstrator, Karen Phillip. It was from a post back from 2010 – isn't the internet wonderful! I read the technique and thought to myself – I feel like I am reading a recipe…well I love to cook so I thought – "I'm going to try this"! I looks hard when you see all of the steps – but it was super fast and easy! Start with Very Vanilla Card Stock to make it all "inked" up….try this and have fun!

I was seeing words like spritz with alcohol…scrunch up…spritz again and I started to laugh as I have never used the spritz tool once but you have to start somewhere! The stamp you can purchase as a single stamp called Woo Hoo! and I totally recommend using your bone folder to smooth out the paper after the poor little piece went through so much! If you ever need a guy card…here you go! Have fun and please let me know what you think of it!
Step 1: Using ink pad, cover Very Vanilla card stock completely with Sahara Sand
Step 2: Scrunch card stock between hands in both directions
Step 3: Open card stock
Step 4: Ink up paper with Always Artichoke ink pad. Leave some areas uncovered
Step 5: Spritz with alcohol and scrunch lightly, open carefully
Step 6: Ink over Always Artichoke ink pad
Step 7: Ink over with Soft Suede ink pad
Step 8: Spritz again lightly with rubbing alcohol
Step 9: Turn card stock face done and run Bone Folder over the back of card stock
Step 10: Allow to dry
Step 11: If you feel you need more color, add what you need using either a sponge or ink pad.
Spritz again and allow to dry
