Today is a special day…it is my husband's Birthday and after working a long Tax Season he is doing something for himself and also something that he is passionate about! He is going to a Boy Scout Fundraiser that they are doing skeet shooting!
John dedicates a lot to our local Boy Scout office and I know that this is going to be a great day for him! The other passion that he has is golfing, and something that he put on the back burner while raising our children but now he is ready to get back into it!
Today's card idea was one that I CASED from local Stampin' Up Demonstrator, Jane Rozes! I just loved it and I knew that I was going to use her great card to base John's Birthday Card from…just loved it!

The only Stamp Set used was the Sassy Salutations, one on my "A" list and one that I always feels gives you a fun look! I did use the handy-dandy – Stamp-a-ma-Jig to get my placement of the sentiments just perfect… The red I used was the Riding Hood Red! There literally would have been no way for me to get that in the PERFECT spot that I wanted if I had not used this great tool!
The "green" was punched from the Extra Large Oval Punch using the Regals Designer Paper…then I just used a simple hole punch to make "the cup"! The "ball" was super easy and cute as I first ran a scrap piece of Whisper White Card Stock thru the Big Shot in the Perfect Polka Dots Folder…then using the 1/2 " circle punch I POPPED it out! How simple is that!

Using the white to be the background classic look, I accented it with some of the classics…Night of Navy and Crumb Cake. Using the Stampin' Vitamins that I love so much, Stampin' Deminsionals, lifted this super cute card up – (even the golf ball)!!!
There is nobody as special than my wonderful husband in having April 20th be a special day! He is the BEST man in the world and as I say….the BEST blind date I ever was one (well, the only blind date I was on!)
I was sooooo incredible proud of him when he told me that he ordered a new set of golf clubs!!! WOOT-WOOT I thought, I was so glad that he is wanting to take time "for him"…not only is he so deserving of it – it will bring him joy to be outdoors and leave the office behind!
John, hope your day is as special as you are! you are a wonderful and loving husband, the best Dad in the world and truly my very best friend! Many more happy and healthy returns!
I hope you enjoyed today's card and I hope that this is a great weekend for all!

Our family continues to keep Boston in our thoughts and prayers, so sad! As always, I am an email away and I love to help you and inspire you to reach your goals! You all are the best!
Until tomorrow…..

Sometimes it is hard to find a great Birthday card that is masculine! Well I think I have accomplished that! I just love the International Bazaar Designer Paper and I must admit I do not use it as much as I should as it is so handsome!
By the Tide Stamp Set, is such a versatile set….it is classic, it is handsome, it just simply makes you feel like going to the beach! I am not one that usually like to put a "faint" sentiment as the background, but I think it works here! I used a very soft color, Sahara Sand and then stamped my "Happy Birthday" message in Early Espresso! This sentiment came from the Teeny Tiny Wishes - a definite "A Stamp" set!

The basic concept of this card can be used in sooo many ways with sooo many different themes! Just let your imagination go and fit the needs to the card that you are trying to make! Switch out a stamp…switch out a color scheme….voila – a new and fun card!
Don't forget to use the stamp-a-ma-jig to help you with the placement – it is a HUGE lifesaver!

I first received this card from my Stampin' friend, Susie Latimer, as an anniversary card! It had a total different scheme to it but I have always kept it as I love the design! This is a great example of taking the time to save something you really like as you can always go back to it and make some minor changes and BAM!

Doesn't the crispness of the Pacific Point Blue make you feel alive! It is just a "feel good" color that always brightens up your projects! A card would not be a "Susan" card with out the Stampin' Dimensionals as well as a lined envelope! SO easy….SO WOW – and the best thing is that it fold very flat….no extra postage!

I know that it is Friday but it has been a L O N G week for me and I have been working many hours to be able to take today off – SOOOO excited to see my youngest child! Probably by the time you are seeing this I am on the road with my truck and trailer to get to Charlotte, NC! She is a freshman in college and I can hardly wait to see her and give her a big hug! It is hard to believe that the school year is coming to an end….
I hope that you are ready for a great weekend! I sure am going to….I am bummed that I have to miss the Baltimore Regional Convention but I have a special surprise that I am super excited about! Make sure you check back to see what it is! I thank you for taking your time to view my blog….As always, I am an email away and I thank you for your comments and taking your time to daily check out my blog!
HUGE stampin' hugs….until tomorrow…

This "Curly Cute" Birthday Card…is really cute! I just love a square card…for some reason I find them to be special!
It's time to play the PPA (Pals Paper Art) Challenge! This time it is a color challenge! You do not have to be a PAL to participate with these challenges…please go to the PPA website and check it out – think about playing along next time! I am and I would love for you to join the fun!
I am "squeaking" this in last minute but I was waiting until the last minute as this was a card I made for my Father-In-Law yesterday! I am super excited about this because it TOTALLY makes me smile – fun, fresh and just different! Here is the color palette that we had to work with! Fun Spring colors!

Fun…right! The Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper made the POP factor WOW!!! I knew that I was going to use this paper the minute that I saw Marina Mist was a color in this challenge! I forget to use the Tasteful Trim Bigz XL Die, but for some reason this immediately came to my mind using all 3 colors!
Knowing that turning 82 is a milestone in itself, I decided that using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz would be perfect (remember a couple of blogs ago I said I use this more than I thought) – well it's true! The "Happy Birthday" is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set – an "A list" in my opinion!
Framing it out with the Labels Collection Framelits worked out perfectly! You can see that I did it using all of the colors and then I did something I rarely do – using brads! The Subtle Brads were perfect!

The finishing special touch is the candles…..toooooo darn cute! I actually lit them – blew them out to give it a special touch…then I just popped them on with glue dots! I think that this was the "icing on the cake"!!!

I hope you have enjoyed today's post! I appreciate you stoppin' by and I appreciate your support! I love your comments and feedback and it is YOU that makes me what to continue to create, inspire and do what I do!
I would LOVE to have you be a PAL…it is the most rewarding and "fun" thing I have done for myself! I am coming up on a year and I would have never ever imagined that I would have so many "cyber friends" Please email me and I would love to talk and share my passion!
Have a super day…and until tomorrow!!!

19 years ago today I was blessed with a beautiful daughter! Happy Birthday Hannah – you are a beautiful, independent, confident young women with a great future ahead! Your Dad and I are so very proud of you and you never seize to amaze us!
Another reason why this day is so special is it would have been my Mom's 81st Birthday! It seems weird and empty not to be able to celebrate this special day together and we all miss her so…having Hannah born on her special day was a true gift…something that I feel was a message – 2 amazing women being able to have shared the same day of birth! So special!
Onto my card as I think this is pretty special all in itself! I was first inspired by a design that was actually on the Stampin Up website in an "ad" – you can get some great ideas in looking at our website and even looking at the catalog!
Clean, crisp and simple! Love everything about it! The stamp set and embossing folder both came from Sale-a-bration ( I sure hope you were able to take advantage of these goodies)
True confession of a stamper….I first stamped the image with early espresso and didn't think I needed the Stamp-a-ma-jig….MISTAKE – it was off centered!
Needless to say I was bummed but I did a "Susan fix" – a trick that I always used to do when I scrap-booked a lot! When you make a mistake – no biggie….just stamp the image on a piece of paper….freehand cut it – mat it on a coordinating piece of card stock and WHAM….done!

The printed paper came form the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper – another product in my "A list" to have…fun…FUN prints that will bring a smile to your face!
I wanted to make a "tag" look to the body of the card so after doing a quick snip-snip to the upper corners and then punching a hole….putting a piece of gumball green satin stitched ribbon.

The bingo finale was the Madison Avenue flower popped out and then a simple button popped on with a glue dot after being tied off with a piece of "Bakers Twine"
I think this is a great card and the sentiment is the perfect message for my Hannah!I would love to see Stampin' Up come out with this stamp in a single one…wouldn't you? Sentiments can really set the tone for your card projects!
Hannah…your Dad and I wish you many more years of health, happiness, fun and laughter and may we always keep Gi-Gi in our heart on her special day as well!
Until tomorrow…make it a great day and it is a special Easter Weekend! Let's hope the weather is great! Even if it is not sunny where you live…find some inner sunshine to bring you joy!

BIG NEWS! MDS2 and MDS2+ are being renamed (to simplify) to MDS and the price of the software has been greatly reduced from $79.95 to $19.95. Even better news – you can download MDS for a free 30 day trial period – it simply does not get better than that! Each and every Tuesday, SU comes out with new downloads to add to the MDS program!
Today's blog is a fun twist…and it is a test…for my beautiful daughter that will be 19….not today but in a week! I made the promise to you that I would do a MDS every week and here you go! Let's see if she notices that this is early! (she'll get a beautiful card next week, on her real Birthday…my kids profess that they subscribe to my blog…we'll see!!!!)
If you follow my blog, you know that I consider myself "computer challenged" ( just look at my blog header and you can still see it is February in my world….can't seem to figure out how to change it)…once again – if I can make cute cards like this – YOU CAN!
Well here you go…first – close your eyes and image that you are holding a card…this is what I absolutely LOVE about MDS…it is the same price printing using 1-2-3-or 4 sides to a card! (Click on the images to enlarge and to get a great feel of the card)

I am choosing to not show you the back of the card ('cause it's just blank!) but please know that YOU CAN put more text….more photos etc…if you wish! Adding your own pictures, your own message really makes the wow factor come to life!
The ideas are endless and trust me – there are sooooooo many gu-ru's out there that inspire, help, and build your self confidence that you can do this plus MDS has a website for help, ideas and support – check it out… You can print (1) card…or you can print (100) cards and the pricing is fabulous!
Today is the LAST DAY of Sale-A-Bration! What does this mean to you! This is the last day that you can place an order…and have it be $50.00 or more and get a free item of your choice for every $50.00 that you spend!
Go ahead…click here and have fun from your own home! Feel free to email me if you need ideas on what to get for $50.00(but who needs help shopping – but trust me….I would love to suggest and help you!)
This super cute card is from Sale-A-Bration called, Lemonade Stand, that you can get for free. There are so many more cards, scrapbook pages, decorative items that you can make from this one disk! This card is so much fun – think how you can make it "generic" to be able to send to many!
We all need cards in a snap…we are all caught with deadlines and just not being able to find the peaceful and fun time in sitting and creating cards….why not let this software give you the best of both worlds….being able to create….and having someone else do the printing…
Using MDS in this way allows the "creative" side of you to still have fun designing , then you can either print it off using your computer or having them do it! The quality of the paper…the professionalism of all of the effects are truly amazing!
Until tomorrow…..let's see if Hannah reads my blog and thinks her Mom has "lost it" in forgetting her Birthday date!
I love what I am doing….and I would love to help you! MDS is a great product and MDS is something that YOU CAN DO! Email me and I will be there for you!

"Henry" is tooting his horn 'cause it is my Grandsons 3rd Birthday! Happy special birthday Liam!!! Unfortunately little Liam lives way far away so anytime with him brings John and I smiles!
This card is a bit "out of the box" for me cause when I need to watch and re-watch videos I get a bit nervous as remember….I am simple…clean and use lots of paper! When you start breaking out things that plug in – I get a bit overwhelmed but this was SUPER easy….SUPER fun and SUPER cute!
My inspiration came from a fellow Pal Liz Hughes, from "Cardiology Ink" ( Isn't that the cutest name)…and I watched her video and thought – "I can do this!"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tq3iHfehDHc
This is a standard A-2 card with the Marina Mist as my card stock! Cutting the Basic Black just 1/4" smaller, I took Liz's advice and used the Stampin' Up Watercolor Pencils to draw my borders…it really – really looks like chalk! Using the grid paper made it super easy to whip those lines with your ruler!
The Embossing Buddy is a must to get the clean and crisp look when you emboss! This little gem takes all of the static and dust off of your paper to make your stamped image covering clearly! When doing this method you use the VersaMark Pad and then set it with the Heat Tool!
Now to get dear Henry tooting his Happy Birthday Horn in the perfect place…I once again took Liz's advice and first stamped the image on a piece of vellum….embossed it so I could see it – then placed it exactly where I wanted to to go!!! Once again, that little Stamp-a-ma-jig is my go-to lifesaver! Personalizing Liam's Card…I used the NEW Photopolymer Stamp Set ( still trying to figure this one out but I think once I master it – it will be super fun!)

Now for the fun banner up top! I cut 2 snips in ( thanks to Liz's tip) to anchor my bakers twine! Out came my main man….Mr. Big Shot, poor guy – he gets dragged around all over the place! Using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits I cut out my banners to give this car the pizzazz it deserves! Doesn't this just make it!
To give the "chalkboard" effect….I did use the White Craft Pad Ink along with a sponge dauber, I first dappled it off on a scrap piece of paper then to my card….getting the effect I wanted! I then lightly went over Henry using the Water Color Pencils to color him lightly in blue!
Naturally I POPPED them up with Stampin' Dimensionals and then added an adorable button to give it that special touch for this special little guy! For my "trademark" I lined the envelope with the cheery Polka Dot Parade Paper! Too fun and cute!

Until tomorrow….I am a click away or you can shop away with this click! Have a super-duper day and dear little Liam…many more fabulous Birthdays ahead! xoxoxox
