You know what Thursday means for me…it is the Pals Paper Art Challenge day and today’s challenge is a sketch challenge! I am getting a bit more comfortable with the sketches and this one came together like Peanut Butter & Jelly!
Here is the sketch and I hope that you will give it a try! Pop on over to the Pals Paper At Website and upload your masterpiece!

This card is very straight forward…a regular A2 White Card base (5 ½” X 4 ¼”) and then I added the Bermuda Bay (4 3/4" X 3 1/2") with the embossed Tiny Triangle Folder in Tangerine Tango(4 1/2" X 3 1/4") – a “smidge” larger is basic black, I thought it would help “POP” the birds!

This embossing folder creates such a deep impression and it gives a big WOW factor. The best tip I can give you is one of 2 things….
- Place sticky strip on the back of the card stock BEFORE you run it through the Big Shot with the Embossing Folder and then the strip peels off like a charm or….
- Use the “Green Glue” – this is the best but remember….”Less is Best”, this is the best and most affordable adhesive we have but you need to be patient with it!

The “star’ of the card is the Circle that I punched using the 2 ½” circle punch using the Motley Monsters Designer Series Paper! I just love all of the colors that are in this paper and even though you might not celebrate Halloween, this is a great card….just switch up the sentiment!
Speaking of sentiments….I simply cannot get enough of this stamp set, Good Greetings. Remember this set is not one that you can order but it is one that you can earn!

Please email me and let’s come up with a plan! For an event, an order etc….of $300.00 you can get this for free along with all of the other hostess benefits! It truly is much easier than you think.
Just look at all of the great sentiments! There truly is something for all occasions. I stamped the “happy halloween” and popped it our with the window word punch and then layered a popped out piece using the Modern Label to make it POP!

Before I added this whole piece to the card I added a piece of the new Tangerine Tango Bakers twine and tied it in a simple knot. Next, I cut 2 pieces of thread about 2” long and unraveled them….placed them on top and then tied a knot. A fun effect!
The only thing left is the envelope and that was the basic liner using the envelope liner framelit….when in doubt – WHY NOT?

Please pop over and see what the other designers came up with for this challenge and then how about giving it a try! Ideas are endless and it is just fun to see what everyone comes up with!
Thanks for popping in today and I invite you to go to my online store and shop away from the comfort of your own home!

CONFESSION TIME:…..Yesterday I had to pop into a “Big Box Store” and I was soooooo overwhelmed – I went in for candles but naturally popped into the stamp/scrapbook isle to see what they had and I was soooooo confused with all of the “stuff”
This is why I adore Stampin’ Up so much…we have all that you need and like I said before – less is best and I just love shopping from home and see the Brown Truck roll down my lane.
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions about today’s post. I thought it was fun and festive.
Enjoy your day and until tomorrow!

I know that when we hear Stampin' Up! we think of stamps…card making…the Big Shot…framelits …ya-da-ya-da – but I am so happy that we are "spot on trend" in offering many more options!
I am thrilled that Stampin' Up! is offering more and more bags…boxes…heavier card stock for making your own boxes….wreath….again, ya-da-ya-da!
Today is a short post as I am traveling for Ted's memorial service but this is one product that you should not overlook WHY? It is a perfect size for many things and you can decorate it in so many ways!
Today I am using the Dots Decorative Mask and these are not only sooooo affordable ($2.95 for BOTH of them...WOW) – they clean so easy and they are just FUN!
I have used them several times before on posts and I have always been pleased with the end result!

I will share with you a couple of tips that I think make this wonerful piece of plastic the best!
- If you are working on a project that you can use some simple masking tape to help "anchor it down"…you'll be a happy stamper…this helps with the "wiggle"
- Try to use a circular motion when applying the ink (you will get a more uniform look) Today I ised the white craft ink which is "wetter" and you can see that I did have some excess paint….sorry!

I am loving thie new thick twine…I wish that it came in more colors as I think that it adds a fun and fresh texture! It will fray so you need to use super sharp scissors for cutting.
I would reccommend the Craft Scissors…hands down the best for cutting (I actually have 2 – one that has a piece of ribbon tied on it so I know to only use them for ribbon and the other for paper! LOVE…LOVE them!

Let you imagination go wild with decorating….the ideas are endless and I will share with you in later posts more of the fun packaging ideas that we offer!
Please click here and you will see the grouping of all of the packaging we have now! I love that stampin' up! has it all together in one place!

Thanks for popping in today! Tomorrow I have a very unique monochromatic card for you tomorrow that it super interesting with the textures….it's different but it is very easy and quite effective!
Please feel free to email me and below is a new photopolymer stamp set…..WOW – it is very, very interesting…please help me make the decision…should it make its way to my house? I am on the fence but leaning to hit that "buy me button"….what do you think….please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts!
It is called You've Wonderful…..love the name – you can click here and see the scoop!

Until tomorrow…..

Yesterday's card I used the same stamp/framelits as today card and can you see how totally different they are? This is a keeper set and for the fall/Thanksgiving season, it needs to make it to your work area! It is the Fall Fest Bundle!
I know I have been “square” this week…but here again is another square card for you. Today’s card is a 4 ½” square and I think that this card is just adorable!
From many of the comments and emails I have received I realize that many of you have “fall themed” stamp sets already on your shelf and you know what I say…if you LOVE them and they work for YOU….than I say do the “happy dance” and use them BUT….if not – this is a keeper bundle!

I think the thing I love about this is … – true you can use it for Halloween but you are not limited to just jack-o-lanterns….pumpkins are totally fall and I adore the 4 different leaves for so many projects!
This card came about with things that I just had not but away when I was making all of my cards for the week! Let’s get going!

- The card is very vanilla (4 ½” square) and then the next layer is soft suede just a “smidge” smaller! (Remember…. use the inside of this piece as it will be covered up…save your paper)
- Taking a 4” square and running it through the Big Shot with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder, the fun and texture POPS and the card is coming together!

- Scraps…scraps…scraps – I love using up scraps! Stamping the Pumpkin in Tangerine Tango and the leaves are in Crushed Curry…use the matching framelits to pop them out!
- The Starburst Framelits were out…so what the heck – out came a shape and then I used the circle punch to accent the focal part of the card!
- Speaking of focal…I used the Hardwood Stamp (as I had that out for a card next week) and I stamped a scrap piece in Sahara Sand and used the Banners Framelits to cut the shape out!

- Still not quite sure how to pull it all together, I played around with it and PRESTO – it worked! Taking some linen thread, I tied a simple knot around the stem of the Pumpkin!
- The sentiment is from the And Many More Stamp Set and then popped out with the Word Window Punch!

Did you notice…I did not use 1 stampin’ dimensional on this whole card (that is very unusual for me) I highly suggest for you to use the “green glue” for this card…when I am adhering pieces that I am not 100% sure where they are going to go…I like this adhesive as it gives you some “wiggle room”
- Envelope time…to the punchboard we go – I am still amazed at how this $20.00 tool does soooo many things! The DSP is from the Flaskback DSP; I love that this paper coordinates with Very Vanilla.

Well…whatcha think? Think about this – you could change up the sentiment for a fall birthday or a thinking of you…. thanksgiving…. wow – many options! To me the simplicity and just “clean” lines of this card make it a keeper!
I realize that I have used a bunch of product but I will say that all of the products that I have used are great basics of clean and simple card making. You have heard me say before, using the basics and then slowly adding onto your collections of punches and framelits is the best tip I can give you!
With that said, today is the last day for the Big Shot promotion. This tool is amazing! I thank you for popping by today! Please feel free to email me if I can help you with this card!
We had a text from Hannah and she has arrived safely in India…I cannot wait to hear from her and hear all about the host family she is staying with! Many thanks for your thoughts and emails about her journey!
Monday….MONDAY – yep – Make it Mine Monday is tomorrow!!! I was so touched that many of you missed it last week…it’s back and I cannot wait to see what you come up with!
Have a SUPER Sunday and until tomorrow!

BOO! It is Simple Saturday and is this simple and cute card or what! When I was little, I can remember being a ghost for Halloween and I was so excited to go to the door to get my trick-n-treat goodies…and say BOO to the people opening the door!
This adorable ghost is from the new must have stamp/set bundle called Fall Fest. There is no doubt that it needs to be purchased as a bundle for 2 reasons!
- You will save an instant 15%
- Who wants to “fussy cut” these images when you have the framelits that match that can do the trick!
Please make sure that you pop back tomorrow as I have a super beautiful Fall/Halloween card using this set in a totally different way!

There is not much to this but here you go!

- I cut the Black Paper to a note card size, 5” X 3 ½ and then cut another piece just a “smidge smaller”…You’ll see why as I wanted this to be a super simple card!
- To the smaller black piece I took it to the Big Shot…(just a couple more days for this Big Shot Promotion) and cut out my ghost….BOO! You will lift this piece up with Stampin' Dimensionals!

- To the FUN part. Something that I do not thing we all use often but when we do…the smiles come out! That is using White Vellum Paper. I think that the reason that we do not use it often is that it is hard to conceal the adhesive as it shows through so this is why I cut the black piece smaller than the card!

- Is he cute or what!?!?! I used the black marker to make the eyes and mouth….(please do not stress about it….just do it! )This card will make anyone smile and the DSP is from the Back to Black paper!

I hope that this brings a smile to your face! It does mine. I will use a white gel marker to write my message inside but if you feel more comfortable, simply add a piece of whisper white so you can use black to write!
I know that you are going to be smiling when you see tomorrows card – I think it is a "keeper" card and I plan to make many of them to send to friends and family….actually I think that this is going to be the card that I send to people that place an order with me!

Please remember that for every order I receive until Monday evening at 9 p.m. eastern time, your name will go in the “cyber pot” with random.org to win your choice of (2) Designer Series Paper from the new catalog along with 6 handmade cards from me!
PLEASE NOTE: When you place an order with me and click the "no contact" option, there is NO WAY that I can find out who you are - which means that I can not say "thank you" or send you a card…or put you in the drawing for the DSP and 6 cards! If you have done this by mistake, please email me.
On a personal note…Hannah left today for India…L O N G trip but she is soooooo ready and excited for her adventure!
BOO….have a great day and until tomorrow

Boo! It's Thursday and that means it is another day to play along with the Pals Paper Art Challenge! Today's challenge is a sketch challenge and I encourage you to play!

Here is the sketch for today! I will say…that I was a bit challenged but I did it! I do feel so much more comfortable with the color challenges but it fun to S T R E T C H yourself….be a gumby and try!!!

I know that there is not much more time until Halloween, but
if you order today, you’ll be fine! I am much more that a “treat” person than a
“trick” person…and I much prefer just eating the candy…how about you!?!?

The paper was all from the Witches Brew Designer Series
Paper and it has a fun…modern…but very Halloween edge to it! Stampin’ Up!
always does such a great job in picking over the top designs!

I take these challenges so “literally” just as they were
sketched…so let’s get to the fun!
It’s pretty straightforward and the fun is all around the
great paper! Make it easy on yourself – just mat the 1st designer
paper and then cut the next designer series paper on the diagonal!
The Stamp and the sentiment are both from the Best of
Halloween Stamp Set. Remember, these stamp sets are a limited edition in
celebration of Stampin’ Ups! 25th anniversary.

The super great thing about these gems is…purchase 6 of them
throughout the year and you will get one free! Who doesn’t like something free!
I did use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure that the sentiment
is perfect…just adds that fun touch with simplicity!
After I stamped it…I thought that the very vanilla on either
side was just too broad so using the Stampin’ Trimmer it was a cinch to cut a
very narrow piece of black! Perfect, just what this card needed and sooo
simple!
Don’t be afraid of “fussy cutting” like I did here for the
spooky tree! Sometimes you just need to roll and not worry about perfection! The paper
snips make this a cinch….TIP – hide these scissors from your family…if they get
a hold of them…you’ve lost them as they are the best!

After using the envelope punch board the liner was a cinch
to slip in! I had to do a bit of bling to the front….I could not resist! A
simple stamp and the mailman smiles! I just love to do a little something to
the fronts as well!

Have a special day….I sure plan to! Remember to email me if
you have any questions about the super-de-duper opportunity to have fun for just
$25.00…I realize that it seems too good to be true but seriously, there are no
strings attached!
I hope that you will try your own fun with this sketch and
play along with the PALS! I can remember the 1st time I was picked
as a winner for a challenge…I felt like I won an Oscar! Try it….what do you
have to lose!

Until tomorrow…..

Quick, fun, easy, duplicatable…this is one "Wham Bam…Thank You Maam" card! Stampin' Up! usually has "small" stamps in many of the Stamp Sets that they offer…and when you see one – I hope the "light-bulb" goes off for you to use this layout!
By now if you follow me, you have heard me say endless times…when you find a layout that WORKS…save it for later and change up the stamp and sentiment and BAM – you are good to go!
This card, I would suggest that you make up a template for the square part…keep it somewhere that you can go to easily and WOOT-WOOT….a card in a jif!
Sorry the pictures are not the best today…but I think that you will get the idea!
The card is using the Note Card & Envelopes….what a bargain – 20 Cards and Envelopes for just $5.95!!! I adore the smaller size as a 3 1/2" X 5" card is a perfect size!
The 1" square punch is the must have tool for this card!
Here is my 1st tip….take another piece of white paper and cut it to 3 1/2 x 5 and then find the center and the measure down 1" (as that is the depth of your square punch) This is a HUGE help to making a template and then you will trim off a bit from the sides to make is smaller for the effect of the final card!

After this…I take my "template" over top of my note card and draw 3 of the squares on the card to make my stamping easy! It is sooooo much easier to do this from the start, use your stamp-a-ma- jig and get it perfect…a simple erase of the pencil and YOU ARE GOOD TO GO!

The stamp set that I used was from the Holiday Catalog and it is still not too late to order Halloween Stamps but CLICK my shop now button and "get on it" so you can make some cute cards and projects! It is called Halloween Hello and I have used it a bunch on my blog!

Everything else is a breeze! Again, use your Stamp-A-ma-jig to place the sentiment….it would be sooo darn silly to do this cute and fun card to have a crooked sentiment!
The Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set always comes to the rescue for the perfect short sentiment! An "A list" set to have!!!

Stampin Dimensionals are also the key element to a card like this….it is great to use up all of the "extras" that are around the dimensionals…WE DO NOT WASTE A THING!!! What would we do without these gems!

Another tip….I always use the Black Stazon Ink! Why? Just love the clean and crisp image it produces but please note that you need to use the StazOn Cleaner when you use this ink….no big deal – it is important to keep your stamps clean and conditioned properly!

I know that it is super hard to see….but I did use the liner from the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper….using the Big Shot and the Envelope Framelit is the finishing touch!
This card really is super cute in person, sometimes pictures just do not do justice! Please CASE this layout and have fun! If you do….please send me your card – I would love to see it!
This has been such a fun week and I am so excited to have my daughter home….she has missed her Dad and is loving pampering him….
I hope that everyone has a great weekend and please if you have not already done so….subscribe to my blog so I can give you a daily dose of fun and inspiration!
We are in the middle of the TO GOOD TO BE TRUE offer from Stampin' Up! For $25.00 you too can have fun with me, be inspired by me and let me help you reach whatever your goals are!
I have been asked these 2 questions the most….
- Can I really just get a discount and then stop without a penalty? YES!!! (you can do it "you're way") but I think once you see the fun you will have with the PALS and how you will grow in paper crafting…you might just wanta stick around as with one qualifying order – you would not have to order again until April 2014!!!
- Do I have to live near you to have you as my Upline? NO!!! The computer is simply amazing…after all – you are at my blog right now!!!!
Click here and get started…I would be honored to be your upline and have you on my fun and inspirational team!
Just remember…your order needs to be at least $25.00 but cannot be anymore than $26.95! I think you will be able to find something!!! (ha-ha…if you need me to help be your personal shopper…let me know!!!)
Besides the goodies that you picked…you will also receive the following….and again, it ships for free!
- A package of the current seasonal catalog
- Customer Order Forms and Postcards
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions and have a fabulous day!
Until tomorrow…..
