Here you go…another Clean and Simple card for your Wednesday inspiration!!!
I think this is crisp, fun and I adore the colors of a bold pink and grey together! WOWZERS! What is the not to "love" about this card….I think I will use it for a Breast Cancer Card next month!
Before we get to the card….I need to say that you all made me smile yesterday with all of the comments of your favorite color of paper and adhesive….seems like I have "twisted many arms" with using the Multipurpose Glue….it is the BEST BANG for your BUCK!!!!
So…what do you think of the Sale-A-Bration Catalog and the free products!?!?!!! I think that Stampin' Up! really outdid themselves this year! Today's card is showing (3) of the FREE products that you could choose!
Everyday, I am going to give you a suggestion of an idea of a "collection that YOU could put together" to meet that magical dollar amount of $50.00 so you can pick a FREEBIE!!!
Let's get to the card….and then I will share with you "my collection" for today after you see the "in's and out's" of why you popped by!!!!

- LOVE the color….Smokey Slate is the card base in a regular A-2 card size (4 1/4" X 5 1/2") My NEW favorite (well one of them) color – Rose Red (5" X 3 3/4")….it is bright, cheery and FUN!
- Did you notice the embossing folder….it is a WOOT-WOOT embossing folder in my opinion and it is part of the Sale-A -Bration collection and it can be yours FREE with a $50.00 order! I love the texture…the sheer image of "dots" just makes me smile! A quick run through the Big Shot was a breeze!
- The Whisper White is 4 1/4" x 3" and did you notice what I did….out came the Simply Scored and I scored at 1/4" all the way around….doesn't it give you a great effect….remember….SIMPLE WORKS! (Click on the picture to make it larger)
- Banners are HOT….Banners are EVERYWHERE in the industry…..but this little banner is super cute…and surely will bring a smile to your face..again…SIMPLE WORKS! This is another Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE and with a POP from the Banner Punch….another FREEBIE…..(wowzers – aren't the sale-a-bration items fabulous! It is called Banner Blast – one cute stamp set!

- Did you notice the bakers twine? How did I get that color?….well confession of an honest stamper…I need to give YOU some tips so you will not be frustrated! Patience is not my best quality….and I had this great idea….take the white bakers twine and run it over the smokey slate ink pad and make your own twine!!! Well, it works – but let it dry and then run it through a paper towel to get any excess….I know I am a bit "type A" and that's ok – I had some "smears" so let it dry and you'll be good to go!
- I have to STOP and ask you ….isn't this so simple yet so cute!?!? Using Stampin' Dimensionals under the banners is the perfect lift to make this simple card come to life!

- Remember yesterday when it came to the envelope?!?! Today is another example of why I LOVE the Paper Stacks! This liner is from the Regals Designer Series Paper Stack and it is such a "no-brainer" not to have to think about what works…what looks good…all of the guess work is done!
Well…now I ask you….who would not LOVE to receive this card! So fun and uplifting…this is why I know the volunteers are going to LOVE to put this together next month for my Breast Cancer project that I do….I can already hear the "wow's and this is soooo cute".…it is so rewarding and I will look forward to next Wednesday!
Now to the Susan Bundle for today!….Ready?!?!?…Do you remember that yesterday I did a" p.s." about a new product?
Well, YEP – it is already ordered and Stampin' Up! is so "on top of it" as I had a confirmation that it is on it's way to little Williamsport, MD…..it is the Textured Boutique Embossing Machine…..why is it super cool ?
- It is portable
- It is light-weight
- It is small
- The "price is right"
- It is NEW and we all like things that are NEW…..(it will be in the annual catalog but it is onle available now at limited quanities)
Here is my Bundle for the day: $53.80!!! WOOT-WOOT!!!!!

This is such an exciting week and I am going to call this "Simple Susan" week as here is another super cute, clean and fast card to whip up! Time is ALWAYS a issue with most of us…so this week I am showcasing cards that are just Clean and Simple!
Now….drumroll….drumroll……(remember I will be offerning some blog candy at the end)
Welcome to the party…this is Stampin' Ups! yearly party called Sale-a-bration that is the best reason to do the "happy dance" as it sarts today and goes thru until March 31st!!!

For every $50.00 you spend (before tax and shipping) you will be able to pick a FREE Sale-A-Bration product and as you can see in this post…there are some real keepers…actually I think they ALL are keepers and I am super excited with how the catalog looks!

This catalog (well flyer type) is laid out similar to the Occasions Catalog…the front section gives you ideas and also shares with you "bundles" for that showcased project and then the back section shows you all of the FREEBIES!!!! Click here to see the catalog and if you would like me to mail you one, please email me and I will be happy to do so! (seeing it on-line is great but having it in your hands is wonderful)
Click on the picture of the catalog and grab a cup of coffee!!!

Let's get to the card as I do not think you would be happy if I didn't share with you the in's and out's of why you are here….inspiration!!!!
Remember – THINK OF THE LAYOUT and how you can change out the stamp and colors….this is so quick! It really is so easy, you do not need me but here you go!

- The card size is my go-to must have – Notecards & Envelopes….wowzers – you get (20) cards and envelopes for $5.95! LOVE IT…sooooo easy!
- I knew that I wanted to use this adorable alligator…he is from the FREEBIES that you could pick and it is called See You Later…isn't this a great set of stamps!
- The Garden Green Paper is cut at 3 1/4" X 4 3/4" and I ran it through my big shot with the Deco Labels Framelits! Look at the picture below and you will see a simple and fast trick to help with placement!

- Let's get back to the stamp! This set comes in both Wood or Clear mount and you choose which one you like…cause' it is FREE! I "masked" the lower sentiment as I did not want to use it today…ink up the stamp well….simply pull off the mask and PRESTO…too darn cute!
- To the green piece…A simple touch of using the white pen (for $3.95 – how can you go wrong)and stitching around the image is fast and effective…I also place a white candy dot on either side….loves those little dots!
- Now erase your lines and pull out the stampin' dimensionals! Use LOTS of them…as you really want the impact of it elevated. (I like to use the long edges left on the sheet for this type of project)

You know what is next! ENVELOPE TIME….Using the Envelope Liner Framelits and the Regals Designer Series Paper

You know what I am going to say about these Papers…this is a perfect example of WHY they work – My card is simple, there is not a patterned DSP that I liked for this as I wanted to to be simple and fun.
When this happens, I know that I can go to the primary color in my card (Garden Green = Regals Collection) and BAM – perfect everytime!

As the cartoon goes….THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
Easy… right! Cute… right! Doable… right?

No, that's NOT all FOLKS as I promised some BLOG CANDY…here you go!
I know that I could give you some product etc….but it seems that you like to get some of the goodies I made - so here you go…6 projects (4 cards and envelopes and 2 adorable monsters)
Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite
Stampin' Up! Color of Paper is and your favorite adhesive is!

There are so many options on how you can get to a magic amount of $50.00 and earn a FREEBIE…remember, the sale-a-bration catalog shares with you "bundles" – (click here to see) products that make it SUPER EASY to order that get you to that point….(smart, very smart) BUT….
I know that many of you have lots of the basics in these bundles…how about this for a quick $50.00 that is so practical!
Purchase (2) different Paper Collections like I used today & a roll of sticky strip….
BAM…$50.85!!!
Pick a FREEBIE! The best part is these items are practical and items
YOU WILL USE OVER AND OVER!
You can click right on that BIG SHOP NOW BUTTON and have fun! Everyday I will focus another great perk about sale-a-bration….there are better/stronger hostess benefits…demonstrator benefits and more!
Soooo much to take in….take your time and look at the offerings and enjoy! I think Stampin' Up really out did themselves…..
I will let you know on Thursday Morning who won the Blog Candy…
Please leave me a comment or send me an email and let me know what your Stampin' Up! Color of Paper is & your favorite adhesive is!
Thanks for coming to the party and have a great day!
Stampin' hugs and until tomorrow!
p.s. – hot off the press….look at this new product that is available!!! Woot-Woot! The Textured Boutique Embossing Machine!!! YEAH!!! They only have a LIMITED supply of these….click here to watch a short video on this gem! This will be in the annual catalog for next year…but grab your now before the supply is "swooped up"!!!
Tomorrow's post will be using embossing folders!!! YEP – this is another great way to reach the $50.00 point…this woot-woot product and 3 embossing folders!!! I'll show you tomorrow!
Why would you want this? Easy – no need to drag out the Big Shot for using your embossing folders (much smaller and lighter) and the trye fact is…we just need it! ha-ha!!!

LET THE PARTY BEGIN!!!
Tomorrow is the big day and I hope that you pop back as I will have some blog candy for a lucky someone…and hope that someone is YOU!!!
Before we get to this SUPER cute…SUPER fast…and SUPER easy card…I owe you an apology – I told you that today I was going to share with you some of the swaps from Leadership and the truth is…they are still at my dear friend, Jeanie's house….I simply ran out of time to go over this weekend to get them! My fault!
No worries, there are some real keepers and YOU will get to see them another day – with that said, I hope that you like this card! I was inspired by Catherine Pooler with the layout but change it up to current products and one from SALE-A-BRATION!!!!
I hope that you are getting ready to S M I L E when you see the SALE-A-BRATION products tomorrow – I think they are just fantastic and if you need a catalog….please email me and I will get one in the mail to you!
READY…SET….GO for a Clean and Simple fun card!

- A regular A-2 card but scored at the 5 1/2" and then the mat is 4" X 5 1/4"
- Taking scraps and using the FREEBIE from the SALE-A BRATION….that SUPER cute "dot" embossing folder….I say a BIG woot-woot…I ran it through the Big Shot!

- The punches I used were all circles….in 1 1/4", 1 3/8" and 1 3/4"

TIP ALERT: If you wanted to make this not so bulky…I would either center the sentiment or do the layour I am showing but add some candy dots! I think it is fun this way….what do you think!
- The liner for the envelope was actually the motivation for this card….I often pick the liner to dictate what I want to do….I adore this paper, Watercolor Wonder!

Well….this is a total "Susan" card..and if I were to receive this….I would SMILE!!!
Making cards is FUN…making cards is REWARDING….and making cards DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

In this world of technology, we often forget the power of the "personal touch"…the power of YOUR handwriting…there is simply nothing like seeing a familiar handwriting when you open your mail box up!!!
Thank you for your support and dedication to my blog, my business and more importantly allowing me to let you realize that YOU do make a difference and YOU can do this!
Have a great Monday – and PLEASE pop back tomorrow for the party!!! WOOT-WOOT – it is time for SALE-A -BRATION…and some blog candy as well!!!
Until tomorrow!

O.k. – I am SUPER-DUPER excited about this card!
I was tickled with the end result!
Have you ever seen a stamp set and the minute you see it….you know immediately who you are going to send it to?!?! Well…this sums it up with how I felt when I laid my eyes on this single stamp!
When I was in Houston at convention, I swapped a card with Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Cheryl Lentz, and I felt like I won a golden ticket! I love Willy Wonka! What I adored about her card was the way she used the “brush tip” of her markers to fill in the vases and flowers!
If you follow my blog, and I sure hope you do – you know that I love to watercolor…. It’s a technique that I know intimidates many of you and because I always strive to be an “artist in my next life” (well….really not) to me is very relaxing and I have found that the more you try it….the better your results are and the bigger your confidence becomes!
I never thought a minute to just use the brush end of your markers to color in…isn’t it a great and simple way to create a WOW factor! I changes up the color scheme and also designer series paper….so I hope that you like this and to me….this is definitely one I would CASE!

Here you go:
- The card base is an regular A-2 card in the yummy so saffron card stock!

- I matted this to a piece of Island Indigo at 3 ¼” X 3” and then I let the fun begin!
- Pulling out my markers in Smokey Slate, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Island Indigo….I used the brush end and did a quick “squiggles” and BAM done…I just LOVE the look!

- Cutting a 1” X 5” piece of Island Indigo and then also a ½” X 5” in So Saffron….I placed them over top of the DSP! Now….when you look at the colors that coordinate with this DSP – they use Crushed Curry….I prefer So Saffron with this beautiful paper!

Can you see that this simple design can be adapted
to soooo many different card ideas!?!!?
All I can say is, I am sooooo thankful that I made cards to swap and
that I was lucky enough to learn this technique!

Here’s one for you….what other stamps do we have that you think that this “squiggle brush technique” would work with! Please leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts~ I would love to explore and design more cards with this technique!
Are you getting excited for Sale-A Bration? It really IS a great time of the year to be able to get some free, exclusive goodies from Stampin’ Up!
Please POP back tomorrow, as I am going to share with you several simple 3D valentine holders made with your Envelope Punch Board! I have had some comments on the dimensions of the project….so I am going to share with you some options for different sizes!
I am doing the WOOT-WOOT Friday dance and I am hoping that the temperature will go up this weekend!
I LOVED many of your comments with this cold winter…..being retired and crafting away….being in their jammies….Doing nothing but having fun with their paper…scissors and a glass of wine….to some sneaking in a quick comment during work! You all make me smile with your comments of how you are dealing with the cold!
Do you see the BEST thing of all??? We all have the same passion….love and appreciation for paper crafting and just expressing ourselves!!! Stampin’ Up! is the best and YOU are the best for POPPING by!
Let’s finish this week and let the weekend begin – I am looking forward to a longer coffee on Saturday morning….with YOU! I thank you Cheryl for swapping with me….I just love this technique and I hope you like the card!
Until tomorrow!

7-6-5-4-3-2-1…It's Sale-A-Bration!!!
The count down is on…this is last week until Sale-a-bration starts – this means you are able to get exclusive goodies that are only around this time of the year! The exact dates are January 28th – March 31st!
I thought that I would take todays post as an opportunity to explain to you why this Stampin Up! "celebration" is so special…so fun…and a time that you want to take advantage of!

Here is some scoop to let you know all of the
in's and out's of Sale-A-Bration!
Before we get to the facts, I want to share with you a confession…the 1st year that I had the opportunity of taking advantage of Sale-A-Bration….I just thought it was some thing that just happened!?!?!!!…..I know this seems silly – I have always had faith in Stampin' Up! and I just thought they were "being nice" after the holidays!
It was not until I became a demonstrator that the light bulb went off…This is a time of the year that Stampin' Up! celebrates the whole love of stampin'…an opportunity for us as demonstrators to reach out to new people and introduce them to the love that we have with paper crafting!
Today's card is a card that I will use for a beginners class….when I showed it to my dear and wonderful hubby John, he said – wow – that looks hard….but with the expression on my face – I know he knew he said the wrong comment!
This is a super EASY – PEASY card and once you see how I break it down….you will see that it is a "keeper" of a design!
Let's get to the card and then I will share with you the facts of Sale-A-Bration!

- To me…the whole card centers around this incredible Designer Series Paper called Sweet Sorbet and you can get this pack of paper FREE with a $50.00 purchase during this special time! It is just beautiful and you better believe that I will take full advantage of this paper when I am ordering!
- The base is one of all time neutral favorites…..Sahara Sand….in a regular A-2 card size! The Pool Party is cut at 3 3/4" X 5" and then the DSP is cut at 3 1/2" X 4 1/2"
- To the yummy DPS…I cut it into (3) 1 1/2" strips…TIP ALERT: – take the piece of Pool Party and draw a faint pencil line at 2 1/2…this will be the point to place the midde piece of the DSP!
- I Stamped the image from yet another great SAB (Sale-a-bration) item…this stamp set is a huge WOOT-WOOT!!!! You can see from the below picture that it has more of a stamp, but I just chose to cut this sentment out!

- Matting it on Pool Party and using the White Gel Pen to do some stitching….it is coming together! I "doubled stampin' dimensionaled it" (if that's a word – ha-ha!!!) to make it lift off of the Blossom Punch!

- Still another offering for a "freebie" is this great twine in the colors of pool party, summer starfruit and crisp cantaloupe! I simply put a piece of sticky strip on the back to anchor it!

- Do you see another new punch….well it is!!!! This is another FREEBIE that will be offered to you and guess what….it WILL BE IN THE CATALOG NEXT YEAR….so how about getting it FREE now…(well next week)! It is called simply…the banner punch!

- Lining the envelope as I always love to do…it is the fancy finale that finished this card!
Now to the scoop of Sale-A-Bration!!!!!
Please know even if you live MILES aways from me…that together we can have a successful event that will enable you to earn many of these great products! I can easily give you a "hostess code"…. I can provide you samples to have your own event – just email me and we will work out the details!

Happy Monday to all! Can you believe that we are already half way through the 1st of month of the year!
Sometimes I wish we had a "freeze button" to stop time (for just a bit)…I sure hope everyone had a great weekend! I did….but I worked all day yesterday for special event….but the GREAT news is….I am off today!
I was super tickled with this card as it is a clean, classic and a monochromatic card that is just perfect to send in many ways! When The Occasions Catalog came out….I buzzed right past this stamp set….and then the more I looked at the catalog – it "spoke to me" as I could see many possibilities for it!
I first need to share with you a photo that I took once I stamped the sentiment WITHOUT the stamp-a-ma-jig….lesson learned – I needed it….you can see that it was a bit off and I had already cleaned my focal stamp so I did not want to start back from scratch!

I immediately thought – take a picture of it and share it on the blog…I am human and it is great way to show you how you can made lemonade out of lemons ( well….it's really not that bad but I loved this image)

There are always options you can do before starting over from scratch! Also, remember…you made this so whomever receives it will be thrilled to know that YOU took YOUR time to make a gift (the card) from your heart! Just walk up and down the aisles of the stores and see the cards out there…..you will be smiling!
Let's get to it!

- I wanted to use just 2 colors….the basics – black and white! I used the black Staz On ink….why? – I think that this ink gives you a crisp image when using the color of black!

- When stampin the images….I stamped "off" onto a piece of paper to get a "fainter" image and then using the paper snips……a quick and easy trim is all that is needed!

- After I made my boo-boo in not stampin straight….(see – I told you…it is simply worth it not to use the stamp-a-ma jig)….then you will always be "go to go!" I simply pulled out a piece of scraps and stamped the sentiment and then "free-hand" it!

Works for me….how about you?!?! The finale is the liner! I love this Designer Series Paper – it is the Kaleidoscope Paper…so fun & fresh!

Aren't we sooooo lucky to have sooo many great tools and products to make us have fun each and every day in creating our goodies! I think that the is a great card and can be used for for many occasions!

I have some fun posts this week! I am excited for you to see them! As I have said before…the countdown has begun for Sale-A-Bration! Tomorrows card will tease you with some of the fun!
I also am going to explain to you why Sale-A-Bration is so much fun….so special…and a time not to miss!
I realize that there are many of you that have never experienced the special fun of this time of the year with Stampin' Up! ….so tomorrow I will give you the "low down" why you will want to take advantage of this fun and FREE time!
Have a great day….and until tomorrow!
