by Susan Itell | Jan 19, 2014 | 3-D Projects, Super Easy, Valentines |

Here is a SUPER quick & easy 3-D fun that comes together in a SNAP!
Just think of how you can change up the theme to make just about anyone smile! This would be a great party favor…a cute "tie on" to a gift…a little "giftie" that anyone would enjoy receiving!
I am giving you an idea that would be great for Valentine's and another for a "just because"!!! After I made the pink one…I thought – this would be a PERFECT table favor for my daughter's sorority Silent Auction Dinner! She is in charge of the silent auction and her roommate is helping with the dinner….would this be just adorable as it is for Breast Cancer?
Let's go…I am sure that many of you will be going to get Tic-Tac's….it's a cute and practical project to whip up in a jif!

- Take a piece of Real Red at 2 5/8" X 5 1/2" and score at 1 1/8',1 6/8",3 1/2" & 4 1/8"! I use the Simply Scored and also use the markers as when you make a bunch of these….it makes it a super cinch!
- Use the bone folder and get a good, crisp fold – to me this is soooo important especially with 3-D projects!
- Use Sticky Strip – again, a must in my opinion especially when working with something that you want to hold in place firmly!
- The "stripe belly band" is 1 1/4" X 5 1/2" and scored at the same measurements from above! This is from the super cute Fresh Prints Paper Stack! Just LOVE it!

- I stamped the great sentiment of "hey there friend" in real red….this is from the Paper Pumpkin Kit! I wanted to do something fun and whimsical and free-hand cut it in a wavy fashion….just do it – and HAVE FUN!
- Taking a simple hole punch and threading a piece of Real Red taffeta ribbon and slipped it under the knot and tied it again = SIMPLE + FUN= A GREAT END RESULT!!!

- The petite petals punch is the SUPER NEW AND MUST HAVE punch – it is adorable! Purchase it as a bundle and you will save an instant 15% = woot-woot!

- Did you notice that I used the white gel pen and did a quick stitch around the top and bottom!?!? Well, I think it made it and then I went back and did the same with the red one….you'll see it in the last picture!
What do you think – do you like today's project?
I think that the simple stitching adds a great touch and gives it the finale! It's it amazing all of the quick and simple things we can do and show our creativity!
I love simple projects to inspire you! I did this last Spring with Breast Cancer Ladies for a "Day of Creativity" that was for them! They loved making these simple Tic-Tacs!

Let me know your thoughts…..and remember – this adorable and super practical sentiment came from the Paper Pumpkin Kits! Please refer back to the post earlier this week when I realized when I went to Leadership Convention, that Stampin' Up! realizes that they need to "change it up" –
I love it that they are listening…if you sign up…you will receive this stamp – love this sentiment! I am glad I FINALLY opened it and have been using it all week!!!!
Have a wonderful Sunday and please feel free to shoot me an email if you need help!
Until tomorrow!

Happy Saturday…happy weekend!!! Today is a "happy type card" – to me that is when you see it…you smile and it just makes you happy!!! We all need these kind of cards!
I must admit that it is a bit unfair of me to tease you with this super cute Designer Series Paper as it is part of the Sale-A-Bration fun that is a "countdown away"….but it is soooo fresh and fun! You all are going to just love the Sale-A-Bration items ….each and every product is a "keeper"
This week, we made this card for the Breast Cancer project I do and the best thing is….with one sheet of paper, I was able to make 8 cards and also with 1 sheet of paper you can line 8 envelopes! I knew that this paper was going to be HOT….and I was able to get my hands on 2 packs of this paper….I that made 36 of these cards!
If you order through me during Sale-A-Bration, you will receive a note of thanks from me with this card! I am planning in advance as this will be a thank you card!
This is a super layout and one that can be adapted in many ways so have fun and CASE away if you wish! Let's get going as I have the measurements for you!

- The base is your standard A-2 size in Whisper White!
- The Pool Party is 4" X 5 1/4"
- The DSP called Sweet Sorbet was cut into strips of 1 1/2" wide and then I cut them to 3 3/4" (you will get 3 out of 1 strip)
- I used the liquid multipurpose glue to mount the strips…WHY? – to me you can "wiggle" them a bit…and that works for me! I would work on the outside pieces and then the middle last!
- Let's get to the Stampin' part…the "hey there" comes from the "Just Saying Bundle"…here comes a WOOT-WOOT….cause you are saving an instant 15%

- Time for a little bit of bling…today I am using "simplicity" – that is using the pansy punch in crisp cantaloupe!

- To add interest….I rolled the pansy's around a pencil or you could use your bone folder and then adhered them with a simple glue dot! This is a great trick and tip that really adds a lot!

- Easy as 1-2-3! The liner slid right in with the help of the envelope liner framelit to finish today's project! Again….the printed paper from Sale-A-Bration!

I hope that you get one of these cards from me!!!! I think it is a great card to touch base with…thanks someone…or a simple "just because" !!! Sometimes we all need a simple card like this!
I hope that you have a great day planned….I am excited to go see our newest horse…then do all of the things that do not get accomplished during the week!!!! We are to get snow….just a little bit!
Thanks for popping in….I know and understand that it is hard to place an order now with our super SALE-A-BRATION around the corner….and to be honest with you – I understand….this is the best group of freebies out there! I just want to continue to inspire you as YOU DESERVE IT…..

I know that you have lots of choices…and I thank you for popping in today! I appreciate your time and I hope that I inspire you….cause' I know you can do it!
Until tomorrow….have a great day!

Good Morning! I know that last week I shared with you a bunch of Valentines appropriate cards and here is another one that I simply could not resist sharing with you! I think it is just adorable and can you say…easy!
My inspiration came from a similar card that was hanging at convention and I put my thinking cap on to make it a twist of my personality and here you go….one clean, classic and simple card!
This week was my monthly Breast Cancer project and we made multiples of this card for patients but simply omitted the sentiment! The gals putting together the cards loved it!
Here you go….I hope you CASE this one as it comes together super quick! Do you remember last month I shared with you tips and tricks on breaking down a project so you are not so overwhelmed? This is a classic example!
- For ease – I would take advantage of the Cut & Ready Bases…makes multiple tasks so easy!
- I would do all of my stamping of the hearts at one time on scraps of paper – LOVE using up those scraps!
- I would stash the hearts and the heart punch in a baggie and when I was at lunch I would pop them out!
- I would cut out all of my layered papers at one time. I would stamp the tree on the very vanilla.
- I would assemble all of my cards at one time!
Time is so darn tooin' precious for all of us and if we take projects that we want to tackle and break them down, step by step, it eliminates stress and we enjoy ourselves more!

Let me get to enabling you….have fun and please feel free to email me if you need help!
- The base is a Cut & Ready Card Base in Very Vanilla.
- The Cherry Cobbler piece is 5" X 3 3/4" – REMEMBER to use this base to pop out shapes to save your paper….just love saving paper!
- The Very Vanilla piece is 4 3/4" X 3 1/2"
- Using Early Espresso Ink, I stamped the "tree" onto my base! This is from the Take Care Stamp Set!
- On pieces of scraps, I stamped the hearts in cherry cobbler and then popped them out with the small heart punch! This is from the Language of Love Stamp Set! I love that you can get the heart punch in between each heart image and not waste a stamp!

- Before I put my "hearts" on…I took the early esspresso marker and put a quick loop…(don't stress about making them….just do it )- remember…who ever is lucky enough to get it this card from you will just LOVE IT! Look at the below picture and you can see that I put a small drop of the liquid multipurpose glue that I love so…why? I wanted them to lay FLAT….and I also like that I can wiggle them a bit to get them exactly where I want them!

- Time for the sentiment…this sums it up! "Thanks for being mine" is such a great sentiment for Vantentine's Day! This came from the Love you to the moon stamp set!

- Lining the envelope was easy with the Envelope Liner Framelit and the paper came from the Seasons of Style DSP (the christmas paper) = I had some extra and it is perfect with this card!

Wham…BAM…cute card – do you like it? I hope that it brought a smile to your face! To me – this has seemed like a L O N G week and I am thankful that the weekend is here!
Please make sure that you check back to the Paper Pumpkin Post as I answered many questions that you left comments on….we all seem to think a like but I know you well enough that these next couple months are going to be great – plus, you will get a free set of In Color markers! Woot-Woot!
I hope that you all have some fun plans for the weekend ahead! Have a great day and until tomorrow!

This is the week for LOVE….or should I say….a week of inspiration for Valentine’s Cards!
It seems like we go from one holiday to the next and even though we are only in the 1st week of January…February 14th will be here before you know it!
How about this for a super clean and simple card! I am going to have a Valentine’s Card making class this month so you get to see the fun cards that we will be making!
Are you all loving the new catalog? It is great and I hope that you keep looking through it as there is so much to take in…I love to see the front section where Stampin’ Up! has inspired us with many great ideas! I use these Ideas a lot…why not? They are “keepers”!!!!
I had a “fun and play” time yesterday with my dear friend Jeanie and she came to my house to “play” and as we were stamping and creating….she would say…”Hey – where did this come from?” and when I would say it’s in the new catalog….she would say “No way…I’ve looked through that catalog a 100 times…..”
Today’s card is from the new catalog and the note cards are from the special Valentines collection – I am not one that usually likes “pre-printed” cards…but this is the 2nd time I have used this on posts and I think it is super cute!

Let’s get to it……
- The note card is called Sweet Saying Cards and you get 12 pre-printed cards with envelopes that coordinate! I love the fact that you get 4 of each color of envelopes…real read, pool party and crisp cantaloupe all for just $5.95!

- I then punched out the stamped image with the heart punch along with 2 more real red ones and then using the fun print in the Fresh Prints Paper Stack…I punched 2 of them (and still have plenty to make a liner for my envelope later) and one in pool party!
- I used the mono liquid glue for the hearts…why??? I like this adhesive when you want to “wiggle them” into a certain place…so easy and it is SUPER strong!
- The focal stamped heart – I added some stampin’ vitamins…aka Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift it up and to let the “simple WOW” happen!

- That’s about it…a couple of “Susan dots” here and there and the use the Envelope Liner Framelit with the rest of the piece of DSP and YOU’RE DONE!
Let's talk about these paper stacks! I am thrilled that Stampin’ Up! has them and I truly hope they continue to have them available! I love them for several reasons…

- With a sheet you can line 2 envelopes!
- For this card…I was able to line the envelope and cut the hearts out (actually I can cut 6 hearts and line one envelope….great for classes)
- If you really want something quick and fast…you can use one of these sheets to use on the front of a regular A-2 card!
- This pack is so affordable and the size is great to pop in your bag. Many times…I precut…pre-punch things and then at lunch at work I put cards together!
- You get 48 sheets for just $6.95

Thanks for all of the comments on yesterday’s post…it is soooo fun to read them and see what products you are inspired by etc…remember – leave me a comment and you might win my “Pot of Gold” that I am giving to one lucky winner….
$20.00 worth of any Stampin’ Up! Products = 14 handmade cards from me =
2014
Woot-Woot to you! Please let me know how you like this sweet card today! When I first saw the colors that the pre-printed cards were – my 1st instinct was I was not sure…but I LOVE them together! (See…I need to step out of my comfort zone….)
This is a busy and fun week for me…I am super busy with my job getting things in order for me to go to Houston…but I CANNOT wait to go to Leadership and be inspired by such amazing people…
Let’s have a great week…thanks for popping by and remember to click the SHOP NOW button and you can get any of these goodies delivered right to your door and also…please subscribe to my bog (right hand side of the blog) to get a daily dose of inspiration!

I hope that you are as excited as I am with the unveiling of the new catalog as I think that it is SUPER GREAT! Have fun flipping away on line if you do not have a hard copy yet!
Read to the end for a carrot that we all use….stampin' dimensionals!!!
Take your time viewing it on-line and also make sure that you "take in" all of the wonderful samples that are showcased at the beginning of the catalog!

Let me help you with the catalog…pages 1 – 17 showcase the products in pictures and samples and then starting with page 18 – you will get the "ordering as you know it"….I adore the name of the catalog…
"Celebrate the everyday"
This is such a wonderful catalog name and I do hope that YOU celebrate everyday and that you
"enjoy"
my card for the day…

This is so simple to make so let's get to it as I will also share with you a quick run down of some of my favorites of this new catalog!
- The card is a note card size that I cut using the Night of Navy card stock! You know I love this size!
- The Whisper White piece is 3 3/4" X 2 1/4" and then using the stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the super sweet and simple sentiment of "enjoy" in the center! (don't you LOVE this font) This is from the Simply Celebrate Stamp Set!

- The Real Red piece is cut at 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" and then a simple stitching with the Uni-Ball White Gel Pen…makes a big statement with such little effort! For just $3.95 – I say this is a must!

- These super sweet hearts came from another new stamp set called, Language of Love! What a great new addition and I can already see many cards in the making with this gem! The small heart punch is the perfect fit to punch out these real red hearts!

- Adding some stampin' dimensionals behind the hearts as well as behind the Real Red piece….is all that is needed – BAM – one cute card!

I am super happy that Stampin' Up! keeps these stacks coming…to me – they are perfect for lining envelopes plus the size is perfect for those of you that like to make a front of the card with a quick and easy piece of designer series paper!

Now……for a drum-roll……here are some of my favorites from this catalog….

by Susan Itell | Dec 31, 2013 | Birthday, Super Easy |

Now here is a card that just anyone…any age would enjoy! Festive and fun is the name of the game today and it kind of reminds me of balloons and polka dots – they always make me happy!
I made this card for a very special man that just turned 90! He is amazing…still lives on his own…still drives…still adores to travel (actually within the past year he went to Europe for 6 weeks) and on Saturday his family honored him with a special Birthday Dinner Party!
I was going to do something very masculine and actually John said to use the geese in the Wetlands Stamp Set but I just wanted something whimsical and fun as I am sure that he received many cards that were like that!
Let's get going…and please keep "happy" thoughts for Mr. Bohman and that he has many more special milestones ahead!

- I made my own note-card in Very Vanilla – a 3 1/2" X 5" card base and then I cut 3/4" off of the front panel with the paper trimmer!
- Knowing that I wanted to use the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper for the envelope, I let the colors guide me to the color scheme for today but I must admit – I made a boo-boo and did not even notice until I was writing down my supplies….(you'll see later) I cut a 3/4" X 5" strip of Bermuda Bay card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Large Scallop Edgelit! So fast and simple!

- Adhering it with a small stream of Tombow liquid glue…I placed it to "peek" out from the front – I thought that this would give a bit of a different and unique twist! I love using this glue as you have a bit of "wiggle" before it sets up!
- Wanting to use the Pennant Parade Stamp Set as it has been AGES since I have used it…I thought a quick and simple "party hay" would be fun – this is where I made my boo-boo – I used Island Indigo instead of Bermuda Bay and guess what – it looks great! See…you need to "roll with things"!!!

- Using the colors of Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo and Gumball Green….I randomly stamped the little design here and there….and then naturally had to add my trademark "Susan dots" Hint and tip: – don't be afraid to stamp off the sides…doing this gives a more natural and free flowing look to your card making!
- To the inside of the card I used the sentiment from the Cycle Celebration Stamp Set…I loved the font and the message was "spot on for Mr. Bohman"

- I made the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board (I really…..really wish that Stampin' Up! would come out with this note card size in Very Vanilla ) and because I wanted the "party hats" to be going to right way – I decided not to stress myself out with lining the inside of the envelope….the outside works just fine!

Now what do you think…..isn't this very doable! I was happy with the end result and I actually am looking forward to making cards with an "off set" like this! A change up every once in a while is fun and fresh!
Wowzers…this is the LAST DAY OF THE YEAR – exciting times! My heart is so full with all of the joy's I have been blessed with this past year…I have made goals and have obtained many of them…I am still working on some more…I am just super happy all the way around!!!
Tomorrow, I am going to share with you some of my "personal tips and tricks" with certain Stampin' Up! products and tell you why I love them! Hopefully you will not find it boring and my hopes are for you to walk away with a "nugget" that you will put to use!
Thanks for sharing a cup of coffee with me on this last day of 2013…..I cannot wait to share more fun times in 2014! Please feel free to email me and also remember – shopping in your jammies is fun….I know many of you are waiting for the new catalog, and I do not blame you…..you're gonna love it!
Be safe…we always stay at home….makes me happy cooking and being here….
Happy New Year and until next year!!!!
Stampin' hugs to you!
