O.k. – I have a H U G E smile on my face! The minute I saw this stamp,Fishin' Around, I fell in love with it….it's a personal thing with my daughter and her adventures with horses!
Years ago…( probably 10 years ago…) my beautiful daughter and I went to Ohio to watch the Pony Finals…and out of the total blue…we took the bait and bought her first pony….and we named him Nemo! I can still remember standing there and calling my husband ( as we did not plan on me doing this)….he was in a meeting and I told his office…
"It was kinda important"…
Being that we live in Maryland I had to find a way back home for our new "son"….the only shipper that I could find that was going near our area was leaving at 11 p.m. to go East…then South to Florida…
Hannah was 9 at this time….and I knew that it would be a long night ahead! We were going through a toll booth on the highway and I can remember she woke up and this little voice from the backseat said…let's call him Nemo! It was a hot movie at the time and it stuck!
When I saw the sneak preview of this NEW catalog…..I instantly loved this stamp – then when I saw the "idea" shown on page 58 I thought…..WOW – I am going to try this one! So….I took the "dive" and tried it….and it worked!!!!
I thought it would be a mess….that water would be all over the place….in fact – I stamped 4 of these images…."just in case" and the very 1st one I tried it worked! LOVE IT!!!!
I was soooo darn tootin' excited!
What a fun….FUN card!
Here is the "low down"….please try it! Your smile will be as wide as mine is – it is a super fun card to make and a super fun card to give!
The base is the Standard A-2 size in Marina Mist
I cut a piece of Water Color Paper in 3 1/4" X 5 1/2" and then stamped the Fishin' Around image using the Black Staz On Ink – I also stamped the image on scarp pieces of water color paper for the background image!
To the remaining image….I used the Aqua Painters and using the colors of Tangerine Tango, Marina Mist, Soft Sky, Crushed Curry and Baked Brown Sugar, I colored the images in!
Using a hot Glue Gun and the Circle Treat Cup I peeled off the adhesive from the back of the cup….put a bead of Hot Glue around the cup and crossed my fingers and placed my piece of paper that had the hole on-top and PRESTO….it worked!
Still thnking it needed something extra but simple…I popped out some of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Shapes Pinch Pack and adding a classic "pearl" was the touch it needed!
The Sentiment was perfect…and it came from the Hostess Stamp Set, Express Yourself, I love this stamp set and have already used it a bunch!
Now to the envelope…..using the Brights Designers Series Paper….it was a perfect fun look – Polka Dots always making you smile!!!
Making this card brought back so many memories of my amazing times with my daughter and her riding…she has grown up so much, still riding but those pony days are in the past and Nemo was the 1st and will always have a special place in my heart!
This was a fun card to make and even though I said….my fingers were crossed that it would work…it was a cinch! It is great feeling to have a card that you made have such a fun and unique look to it! The water in the cup just makes you want to tilt it back and forth!

O.k…I am really…really tickled with this card! I love spinner cards and the last one I did was for Halloween…so you can see how long that has been!
My Mother in Laws Birthday is this week and trying to be prepared for my sons graduation…I have been planing my posts in advance!
As we all know…Birthdays are special and it deserves a special card! I have been trying to focus on stamp sets that are going "bye-bye"….WHY??? I really believe that we have so many great stamp sets that are being discontinued but are also very special!
I get asked…what are you going to do with your stamps?…well – simple, many of them I will sell, but there are some that I just love…and this one is one of them because I love the simplicity of it and then BANG it gives with this card!
I was inspired by super Stampin Up! Demonstrator, Dawn Olchefske and her video….please check it out as it is great! There were a couple of things that I changed up to make it work for me and also some tips for you!
Enjoy and here are some of the detail for my card!
The colors of paper I used were, Rose Red for the base…daffodil delight and Watercolor Paper…why???
TIP – 1st, the Pinwheel Sizzlets is the bargain….only $4.95 and look at the fun and WOW!!! When you go to put it all together…push the entire pinwheel onto your paper piercer…it makes it sooo much easier to adhere a brad to it!
TIP – When you use the Word Window Punch, I made a faint pencil make at 1/4" on the sides before I punch…not to make it too close ( it keeps it from tearing when you wiggle the penny part!)
TIP – I stamped the sentiment from the Wishes Your Way Stamp Set, BELOW the pinwheel….this way it does not block the sweet message!
The liner was for the envelope was the same as the pinwheel to carry on the theme!
Extra Bling…I stamped the inside of the envelope as well as the outside of the envelope to make it even more special!
When you see Dawn in the video do the SHAKE-SHAKE-SHAKE!!!! Do it…it makes all the difference in the world! I did triple mount the 3 dimensions that she just did 2….I personally think it helps!
I just LOVE "interactive cards" and I found myself playing and playing with this one! Too cute…too simple…too easy…I truly hope that you case my card and also watch Dawns great video!
I am hoping that once I get help ( with having the college kids home) ….they will help me learn to do videos…it will be super hard to keep them timely as I love to talk!
The moral of today's post is…do not be afraid to order stamps that are being discontinued…..this is a decision that Stampin' Up! unfortunately has the super hard choice to make…but by all means – it does not mean that they are "loser" stamps….if you like them…THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!

You know the other day I said for you to close your eyes and sing a song…well here you go again, today's song is…"Where do I begin…" – there looks like there is a lot to this card but once I kept going…I kept liking it and at the end, I said – WOW…this is really different!
From yesterdays comments – you all liked me sharing some pointers….I'll try again!
Card Base is a 5" X 5" Square in Crumb Cake ( my favorite…so versatile!)
Midnight Muse 4 1/2" X 4 1/2" Square
Crumb Cake 4 1/4" X 4 1/4" Square ( I should have done this in Very Vanilla…but oh well!)
The Designer Paper is from the super beautiful Print Poetry Paper Series….so darn pretty ( I would definitely stock up on this one!) – cut into 2" squares
3" Circle Originals Die, then used a ruler to measure in 1 1/2" and then cut into 1/4's – adhered like above.
Using the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set, I stamped the base of the cupcake in Soft Suede and then using a piece of very vanilla scraps – I ran it through "Mr. Big Shot" using the
Snailed everything together and then POPPING the Midnight Muse base.
Used the white gel pen to add a little interest around the circle!
Wow…I know that seems like a lot but it was really fun! Once you get the roll of it…ROLL with it! You know you'll make 2 cards as you'll have extra circle pieces…so just keep going!!!
The envelope…..easy-peasy! Start with a 8 1/2" Square and using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate…score at 3 7/8" all the way around!
Cut the squares out on the edges and adhere – I always use sticky strip for this!!!
Jazzing up the out envelope was easy! Take the coordinating paper….flip it over…use a pencil and voila'! Cut in half and adhere! ( see 2 extra pieces….you really need to make 2 of these!)

My sample that I did was pretty straight forward from the video with the exception that I substituted pearls from the rhinestones(these come in the kit) I am more of a "pearl" girl rather than a "rhinestone" gal and then I need to add a bit of bling and trademark – A lined envelope! This was from the Polka Dot Parade Collection adhered with the 2 way pen that I am in love with!

3 easy steps to assemble the cards:
Stamp the doily image in Daffodil Delight or Old Olive ink three
times on the card and once on the envelope, re-inking between uses.
Stamp "Friends" in Daffodil Delight or Old Olive ink on the front of the card.
Adhere the flowers to the card. Adhere Rhinestone Basic Jewels( I used pearls) to the center of the flowers.

I 1st did a technique that I have not done forever( and I really like it – I just forget about it)…I heat embossed the "eat cake stamp"After I stamped my image using the VersaMark Pad i used the White Embossing Powder ….gave it a good tap-tap…the used the "Heat Tool" to set it…I just LOVE to watch the magic happen and see how the image comes to life! TIP: – I would highly recommend using the Embossing Buddy to wipe over your paper that you are using the VersaMark on…it will eliminate any static on your paper to give you a clean crisp image!
You can see how easy this came together….just a stamp…heat tool – fun & done…pop it out with the Postage Stamp Punch then I layered it with the 1 3/8" Square Punch….EASY – right!?!? Naturally I added stampin' dimensionals behind each square to give the card depth and WOW! Using the Neutrals Designer Paper to line the envelope was the finishing touch to this masculine card for my brother! Just let your mind go wold with different color combinations…..endless!!!!
Have fun creating and trying new techniques! There are so many times we get on a roll and forget about doing other techniques…I have not heat embossed for a long time – it was fun and I plan to do more next week!
