Before we get to today’s post…I am sorry that yesterday’s post did not go off and get delivered to you! John and I left very early yesterday to leave on vacation with another “peep”…. Will – my son that lives in Boston!
Busy but fun and rewarding past couple of days! We had a GREAT time with Hannah on Saturday and she was so touched by many of your comments – many thanks!
We are going to Cape Cod (we have never been there and I am so excited for many reasons – relaxing with Will…bike riding…stamping…reading books…and lobster rolls!!! YUM)
I had ALL OF MY POSTS done for the week…a HUGE accomplishment for me (and you are going to really like them) but I forgot to “hit the schedule” button for yesterdays post!
So the moral of the story is …no Make it Mine Monday this week…today is a super cute holiday card that I will send to you if you take advantage of any products for the Paper and Ribbon share that I am offering!

I know that everyone loves these shares and it truly is the BEST way to get our products…I always took advantage of shares before I became such a Stampin’ Up! addict!!!!
Let’s get to it! We know that the new catalog is unveiled on Thursday but I know that you all have been able to see sneak peeks here and there…but on Thursday… hang on to your coffee cup…it’s a fabulous catalog! Make sure you have some “me time"
I have decided to not only do the shares for the new catalog goodies, but again offer some from the annual catalog as Stampin’ Up! did a fabulous job with all of the new ribbon collections! I still get emails from people that want ribbon and paper so I thought – why not!
Why are these shares so great?
Easy = it allows you to get a sampling of new goodies without having to put a huge investment into buying the whole roll of ribbon or the whole pack of paper!
I get to do the ordering, the measuring & cutting, and then one of my favorite things to do – package it up for you neatly and organized for you to have a BIG SMILE on your face when you see your goodies plus the card I made for you/
I always send you a card and I am sure you will love to CASE…SEND or just simply smile when you get it! I do thank you for your support and this is my way I love to say “thank you”.

Welcome! Today is the weekly day for the Pals Paper Art Challenge and this week it is a sketch challenge! You all are getting GREAT with sketches and I hope and encourage you to try this sketch! Please click here to go to the Pals Paper Art Website to see what the designers came up with and also all of the incredible works of art! I am always in awe!!!
This is what we have to work with this week…and I LOVE IT as it allows me to do what I love, clean and simple cards!

Let's get going! My color inspiration came from the Color Coach! I have not blogged about this a bunch lately and it is a tool that I do use on a regular basis….WHY??? Well if you are like me sometimes you get in a "rut" with using certain colors and you find it hard to go out of the box!
By using this…I simply went to Strawberry Slush card and the color combination that it said was…Strawberry Slush, Rich Razzleberry and Sahara Sand and PRESTO…this is how this card came about!

This sketch is so darn simple, I am sure that you are going to come up with some GREAT cards! Because it is so basic I thought it would be interesting to use an embossing folder! Today I used the Tiny Triangles Folder!
TIP ALERT: I have blogged about this before but I think it is well worth repeating…when I use an embossing folder I put sticky strip on the back BEFORE I run it through the Big Shot…this way after I run it through the Big Shot…I can simply "peel off" the red tape and it is ready to go!

Sometimes I think the paper gets a little "wonkie" when you run it throught the Big Shot and by placing the adhesive on BEFORE…it seems to help keep it straight! Also, as you can see on the above photo my 2 colors match up PERFECTLY as I adhered them…THEN ran them through the Big Shot!

The minute I saw this sketch I knew what I wanted to do…this was literally a wham-bam card! The sentiment is from the Amazing Birthday Set and it is just that…AMAZING! How perfect!

You know that I adore using up scraps of paper and this is a great example of that! I stamped it with Strawberry slush and then with the Rich Razzleberry and "fussy cut" it out (which was oober easy!)

Because I need a longer banner than the sentimemt was, I simply layered it and then using the stampin' trimmer, I cut a very narrow strip for balance…easy and it does the trick! Pop it up with some Stampin' Vitamins and THAT"S IT!!!
Another tip: Use the "green glue" to place your sentiments…the gives you "wiggle" room to get the "just right" before they set up!

Envelope time..this was super easy as I used up another piece of scrap paper and ran it though this big shot…quick, fun, effective and the texture is WOW!
Well…I can't wait to see what you have come up with! Please give it a whirl – this is a great sketch to get started with!
You will be getting another post later today – a great opportuntiy for anyone that loves our products and guess what – THAT IS YOU!!!!
Until later…..

Well…I have a confession and when I read Jeanie’s comment yesterday about it being Thursday NOT Wednesday I totally laughed out loud! I am soooo darn confused with what day it is. Hannah and I have been in “high gear” trying to get all of her things ready to go abroad for the semester!
As you can see…today’s card is for the Pals Paper Art Challenge and that goes live on Thursday’s but here you go! Below is the color palette that we are to work with this week and I hope you go to the Pals Paper Art sight and see the inspiration that the Design Team #2 came up with this week!

This is a FUN card and even though it looks like the list of supplies is MANY…they are really the basics! You know me…I like to create clean and simple cards that can be easily duplicated…and this is one of those kinda cards!

Think out of the box…change up the embossing folder…change up the stamp set…change up the size of the card – just have fun! Let’s get going….
- The card is a 5” square in Pear Pizzazz and then the other layers are (white) 4 ¾” square and (strawberry slush) 4 5/8” square!
- The FUN factor to the Strawberry Slush piece is that I left 1” on the bottom plain…I simply put the NEW Lucky Star Embossing Folder over the paper but left a 1” overhang and then simply ran it though the BIG SHOT!

- Pulling out the Pictogram Punches Stamp Set (remember I used it yesterday and just look at the different feel this card has) and I decided to heat emboss the sentiment! (This still gets me excited every time I turn on the heat tool)
- The Star came from the Be the Star Stamp Set and then there are matching framelits…woot-woot, Mr. Big Shot had another chance to play today!

TIP ALERT: I realize that this is a person preference but when I emboss with an embossing folder I like to adhere this piece to the white piece and THEN put the stampin’ dimensionals under the white! WHY??? I think that sometimes the embossed piece gets a bit warped!
- Taking a piece of Black and White Bakers Twine and wrapping it around not only “broke” the embossing but it gave the card some interest!
- I knew that using the Pear Pizzazz that I could make an envelope with the envelope punch board and the color still be light enough to write on the envelope! That is such a great tool and I was able to make the envelope with a 8 ¼” square piece of paper!

- Heat embossing the front added some fun but the FUN Confetti Celebration DSP made the POP happen! I just love my envelopes!

That’s is folks! I might be a day late but I think I used the colors well! Hopefully you have a SUPER STAR to send a fun card to!
Please do not forget about the great opportunity with the Big Shot promotion! Please click here to see the free offerings and pop back tomorrow as I will be showcasing the Stars framelits with a NEW stamp set…

If you are not 100% sure of what the Big Shot does...CLICK HERE to watch a quick video on this great product!
If you go back through my blogs you will see that I use the Big Shot just about daily…it is an amazing tool and I will say that when Hannah sees me use it, she always says….”That thing is amazing…. it does so much!”

Enjoy your Friday….(yep! I’ve got the day right)…until tomorrow!

Good Morning! Yesterday was a long day and a day that I sure am glad it is behind me! If you follow my blog, you know that I adore animals and they are all so near and dear to me! Murphy, our "old guy" is not doing well and he needs your thoughts and prayers!
Yesterday we found out that he has cancer and even though he has slowed down (he is 13) he always brings us an endless amount of love and joy! He is very comfortable and in no pain but it was hard to hear that reality might be facing us in the near future!

When you are reading this…I will be "on the road" with Hannah and the horses so I am totally prepared for you all week but I just could not bring myself to type up a blog! John and the pooches will be meeting later this week - so for today…all I have for you is the Tuesday Special for you….and that is a GREAT thing!
Click here to see the offerings that is available to you this week but still the BEST thing coming down the pike is the Big Shot Promotion! I simply could not live without it and it is a great opportunity for you to get the Big Shot but also take advantage of the gettinga FREE bundle! Click here to see them…

Thanks for popping by and trust me…you are going to be smiling with the posts I have for you this week! As I showed them to Hannah as I was making them over the weekend she said, "WOW Mom….these are super fun"!
So "Hannah" approved , I know that you are going to love what I have up my sleeve. I am looking forward to have a couple of "down days" with my daughter and as crazy as it sounds…getting up at wee hours and enjoying the beauty of the horses!
John just laughs and says…paper, stamps and scissors….dogs – the princess pig Daisey Mae….flowers…mucking the horses stalls…fresh vegetables and reading a great inspirational book makes me smile! It really is the simple things in life somedays that just work!
Can't wait to be back tomorrow….sorry – it was a long and hard day! Here's one that is a keeper!

Today is a great day for several reasons…it's Friday…the remaining Blendabilities are now available (woot-woot) and today starts an exciting promotion that Stampin' Up is offering for the Big Shot! WOW…so much to take in so lets go!
This fun card is so classic and crisp! I used the new Smoky Slate Blendabilities for this simple card and you know how I feel about these single stamps….love them! This one is appropriately called Snap Shot and it is one for you! WHY? You can put just about any sentiment with it to make it work for your needs!

I am having fun playing with these blendabilities and I am learning each and every-time I use them! The best tip is WORK IN A SMALL AREA….and be PATIENT because if you do this….YOU'LL HAVE FUN!
I know that it is hard to see in the pictures but I used the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder for the top layered black piece! Trust me on this one…when you see this in person, it is one cute card! So fun because it is so simple!

After I played and had fun with the new markers…I punched a simple hole on the side of the camera and simply placed a small piece of Black Ribbon and used a piece of sticky tape to anchor it and then the stampin' dimensionals did the trick!
Remember that I have been sharing with you colors that I do not use a bunch…and today is Black. I use Black all the time as an accent color but I forget to use the boldness of black as the base of a card and WOW – it looks sharp!

This card will look super with a BOLD color and let the "neutrals" of the camera make the statement! I chose not to put a sentiment on the card and let the sentiment shine on the outside of the envelope. I just love doing this…TIP – stamp the ends first and then go back and do the center! Much more forgiving doing it this way! The stamp set is called Hi There!

The Back To Black DSP seemed to be the PERFECT fit for this card…I am just crazy about this paper! I works perfect for today's card!
The texture of the embossing folder is just perfect. Darn, I wish that you could see it better!

Now to an exciting promotion that Stampin Up! is offering and it is all about my main man…"Mr. Big Shot" This is one tool that is a must and I love what my daughter Hannah says to me….Now she is super smart and says to me…."Mom, I cannot figure out how that simple black thing does so much"

I know…I know…..it is an expense but it is an expense that you will never regret! Now check out this super offer!

Buy A Big Shot and get a FREE Bundle
