Today, May 6th is a special day for me…as it marks my…
1 Year Anniversary With
Stampin' Up!
I "pulled the trigger" today last year as I knew that Stampin' Up! not only makes the best paper crafting products…I felt an instant energy and positiveness with Mary Fish's PALS team…and I have never looked back once!
Being that I was in direct sales for many years, I naturally did my research to see if "they – Stampin' Up!) was really true to their word about letting demonstrators do their business "their way"…and YES – they do from day one!
If you were to ask me this time last year if I would be blogging = simple – NO WAY!!! ( remember, I am computer challenged) and I would have never ever imagined that through blogging I would reach so many from all over the world that not only inspire me…they are my customers…they are my friends!
I have several "die hards" that always give me that burst on inspiration to continue to create…blog…share my stories and I thank you for that inspiration!
This card is for Mary – letting her know how much I appreciate her support, her genuineness, her gift of leading, her endless gift of sharing and her simple and precious gift of being "Mary" Thank you for believing in me, for inspiring me and for leading all of us PALS!!! You're the best!
I know….I know…..onto the card – I think I am spoiling you with these "bullet point" tips = ( it really keeps me on my toes!!!)…enjoy…

- Can you guess what color this base is….Sahara Sand! I cut it at 4 1/4" and then scored it at 5 1/2"
- I have been wanting to use the Pinwheel Sizzlets in a card for you for a while…and when I thought bout today…it is a "happy day" for me….and pinwheels just make you smile! Can you say B A R G A I N = this little gem is only $4.95!

- I ran the pieces of Subtles Designer Series Paper through my main man, "Mr. Big Shot"
- The sticks were just sticks I use when I make Cake Pops! Using the Mini Glue Dots made this a cinch for both the pinwheels as well as the sticks!
- I carefully slid a piece of Certain Celery Taffeta Ribbon thru the sticks and carefully tied a knot! ( remember – I am bow challenged)…and heck – I like knots!
- Don't you love that sentiment and the little hearts – this can be your for just $9.00 "Sweetly Farmed" – it includes 10 stamps….a NEW Hostess gift…SNEAK PEEK!!!! I love it!

O.k. – I know what you are thinking….how am I going to mail this to Mary without getting squished! Simple – use a padded envelope and when you go to mail it – ask the postmaster to "hand stamp it" so it will not go thru a machine!
You can make these pinwheels flat to mail easily but I like the "fluff"! I hope that this card has brought a smile to you to start his work week off! I certainly am smiling and I am thinking of all of the fun I have had over this year with Stampin' Up!
YOU make me love doing this everyday….true it is a big time commitment but I appreciate the support and dedication you continue to give me! Please tell your friends about my blog and sign up for my daily dose of fun! As always, I am an email away and I do appreciate and cherish your comments!
Thanks for making my 1st year so much fun and I look to more fun and creative times ahead! Until tomorrow…..

Are you ORGANIZED?
Back in February I did this post about organizing paper…
now with the new catalog…the new colors…the colors that were being discontinued
it was time to re-do all of my paper!
Last Sunday I took the plunge and carved the time out to re-do my paper! My Pre-Order arrived last Friday so I had all of the NEW paper and I knew I just had to make the time to do this task!
We all know that once you do something like this…you will be doing the "happy dance" as there is nothing better than having a system that works!
If you would like me to send you the files that have all of the paper color names ,please email me and just put in the subject line
SEND ME THE FILES…
and I will be more than glad to share with you! I used just Avery Labels (#5167) for the small ones and (#8663) for the larger ones!

I will say I am a bit of an organizational freak and I also love to maximize space!
I found this quote and just loved it! I hope it touches
you the way it did me – I think we all get frustrated when we are not
organized!
"When it comes to organizing a workspace, relaxation and comfort aren't
the primary goals. Work is about efficiency and productivity. … The
more neat and logically organized your workspace is, the better you will
be at your job."
— Peter Walsh
Organizing is something that we ALL struggle with and I find it to be very
interesting that each of us have our own system of being organized!
The
best thing that I find with organizational systems is…there is no right or wrong way as each of us
need to do what works for us!

There
is nothing "prettier" than to see my "stampin' area" clean and tidy (
and trust me – that is not very often) but one area that totally sends
me into a tissy is when I have paper and scraps here and there!
I will
say that having my paper in this system makes me use a lot less paper as
I am using my scraps up more efficiently. Before I would just pull
out a new sheet and cut away!
I
simply went through the catalog and typed out the names of each of the
paper and printed them on Avery labels and POOF – done!
I do keep them
in the "family" as they are in the catalog as I just find that to be
easier for me…ie – subtles…brights…in color etc….. I basically
am making 2 different labels for each color…

- smaller one for the tab - ie….Cherry Cobbler – Regals… then placed the label over the actual color of card stock! (the measurements are 1 1/4" X 3 1/2" and then I scored it in half…slid them in the tab – DONE!)
- larger label for the hanging folder BEHIND my full sheet folder and I label this one ie….Cherry Cobbler Scraps ( These labels are 2" X 4"…so I cut a piece of scrap in the color just 1/4 larger…I would use WHITE labels rather than the clear ones in this picture – I just had the clear ones at home!)
Hope
this all makes sense and please feel free to contact me if you have any
questions! I love to think that I am an organized person but many times
I am challenged to find a system that works! This just works for me and I hope you find it helpful!

Please remember, we all
need to figure out what works for each of our work spaces. I also think a
key element in keeping paper organized is that I am able to keep these
bins of paper out on a work table!
I have been asked – where did you get the bins?
- Go to an office supply store…a Walmart etc… – I have had these for probably 15 year but I know that they are out there!
- Make sure you get the larger (longer) tabs for your paper colors…makes it easier to see!
- You can get your labels at the office store as well –
- For all of our paper colors, I use 2 bins!!!
Please leave me a comment and share with me how you like this post and also share with me how you organize your paper! I am always "game" to listen to how others do things!
I am in the middle of organizing my 12 X 12 Designer Series Paper!!! I will share with you in the near future that method as well! I will also share with you the files with the names of the NEW designer series paper!
Sharing is fun…sharing is kind…sharing helps everyone! I love what I do an I love helping you!
Have a great day and until
tomorrow…

Good Morning and I have a confession…..I promised you all that today I was going to share with you something really fun, functional and a super easy gift to whip together that would fit many different gift giving ideas!
Good news is that YOU will see the post but the bad news is that it will not be until Sunday! I finished putting together this post last evening and was double checking making sure my blog would go off at the regular scheduled 5 a.m. time ( sometimes it doesn't and that me sad….)and I saw that I had an email from Mary Fish…
Sunday, I am her guest Stamper and I always get super excited for that and I try to do something extra fun and I totally forgot that I needed to get to her my work by this morning as she is leaving for her well deserved – earned Stampin' Up! Incentive Trip to Figi! SO….PLAN B had to come to place!
I am sorry; but as the saying goes…."great things happen to those who wait"!!! Hang tight…Sunday will be here soon and I do have a winner for the discontinued Stamp Sets and you will be able to pick one of these Sunday featured goodies! Thanks for understanding….
NOW to some "Meat and Potaotes" I am sure that there are many stamps and accessories that are being retrired that make you sad and I thought I would share with you a couple of ideas and tips! Here once again is the list…
STAMPIN' UP! RETIRED LISTS NOW AVAILABLE!
I do have in my Stampin' Area the discontinued items but I want to say….that does not mean that I will get rid of them…and I want you to now that I am the first to realize that there are certain products that we just love…and my advise to you is…USE THEM!
I will be having a huge "Stamp Set" sale and you will have the opportunity to pick up some great Stampin' Up products but there will be many of the retired stamp sets that I will keep for my own personal use…"just because" Change can be difficult for many of us…but I also know that the changes that they have made are going to be quickly overlooked when you use the new catalog…it is simply amazing and my head is spinning with ideas!
I did place a preview order yesterday and my goodies should be here tomorrow….so Saturday's post will be featuring a Sneak Peek Product! WOOT-WOOT!!!!
Please try to carve out some time and look….really look at the retiring list and think if you should take advantage of some of the items…they are going fast and everyday SU will update the list as the inventory depletes!
Here are several items that I think in my opinion are TRUE BLUE winners that would be a great "Staple" for your stampin' collection….Click here and order today!
- Petal Cone Bigz L Die – it is 40% off – #121810 – reg. $32.95 – now $19.77
- Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die – it is 25% off – #120890 – reg. $32.95 – now $24.71
Here are some of my "A List" Stamp Sets that I would and will use as I find them to be very versatile and just a good old "go to" stamps!
- Circle Circus – #127784 ( so fresh and fun…great random background stamp to use here and there)
- Curly Cute – #120510 ( just love this font and sentiments….)
- Easy Events – #123225 ( this is a big time go-to for me as I always have clean and simply thank you notes ready using this set….very clean, quick and easy!!!)
- Friendly Phrases – #126151 ( again, just love the sentiment)
Now when you really think about it….these are just 4 stamp sets! That really is not bad at all for the ones that I just can't part with – but the Bigz Dies that I shared….I would definitely purchase them as you know I have made many fun projects with them and they are just great party favors and simple gifts!
In closing…I want you to know that I am not an advocate to "STOCK UP" just because they are going bye-bye! YOU are going to be soooooo excited to see the new goodies that will be here very soon and then we will quickly forget about the discontinued products this year!
I can't wait to continue to inspire you with the new catalog…hang tight! Thanks fro reading this post and I am sorry that you are not seeing any super news ideas, but I do hope that you learned and were inspired by my message!
Thanks for your support to my SU business and until tomorrow…..PROMISE – it will be a project!

Are these colors yummy or what! I just love the color combination I used and this stamp set is "way out the the traditional Susan box" but thanks to fellow PALS Brian and Pam….they enabled me to take the plunge and buy it!

A couple of weeks ago I saw a post on Brian King's Blog ( love it…love him!!!) using this stamp set and I was so wowed I needed to get it as I thought it is a super feminine stamp! Brian's inspiration came from his Upline, Pam…we are all PALS and we all love to enable one another! The set is called Stippled Blossoms!
The color combinations you could come up with are endless! I went bold…just remember to use one color a shade deeper than the other to give it the depth it needs! I used, Pacific Point, Midnight Muse, Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi. My neutral was good old whisper white!

The Stamp-a-ma-jig was once again my best friend ( I think I am going to but another one cause' I think I will go into withdraw if I misplace this one…I use it just about every day! A total MUST to get the placement correct and sooo easy!
The sentiment can from an "A list" Stamp Set, Curly Cute, and if this goes bye-bye….I am going to be a sad stamper! I love this set and when in doubt….go to it! I layered it with the coordinating colors…but 1st I did use a sponge and lightly sponged the edges of the white with the Wild Wasabi to give it a bit of depth!

Out came the Stampin' Vitamins….Stampin' Dimensions whet all over…just like I love it! A card would not be a card without a lined envelope! I went to my go-to, Subtles Designer Series Paper to make the finale a finale!!!
Today is a BIG day all the way around for me….I have a Stamp-a-Stack after work….it is The Voice ( which I am addicted to) and then at midnight I am going to be Cinderella waiting for the clock to hit midnight to see a seek preview of some pre-order goodies that Stampin' Up! is coming out with!!! WOOT-WOOT!!!!
But with the good will came the sad….the list of retired items that will go bye-bye! It's o.k. – we need to trust this great company in making decisions that is best for all of us! This is why I just love Stampin' Up! They allow you to run your business, "Your Way" and then are always on top of all if the trends while still remaining traditional! Love it!

It is an exciting time and I am so glad we are on this ride together!
Drop me an email or comment about how you liked today's post….and also pick 3 stamp sets that you think are going to be retired….if you guess them – I will send you a special goodie from me ( trust me – you'll love it – it is my post for Thursday!!!!) If I have multiples – I will get good old John to draw a name….you are going to flip over it – A 3-D goodie that I am sooooo excited about!!!
Huge Stampin' Hugs and I am excited for later on today and tonight….Until tomorrow! Thanks for popping by!
