Thursday fun with Polka Dots bring an instant smile to my face. I don't know why but polka dots are HAPPY DOTS! This fun paper is from the NEW Paper Stack called It's My Party!
There is something very unique about this paper stack….it is a 12 " X 12" paper stack…you will get (4) sheets of each print and it sells for $26.00. There are some fabulous prints in this stack and when I saw these polka dots…I was doing the happy….HAPPY dance!
Here is the sketch that we are working from this week!

If you follow my blog, (and I hope you do) that you know that I usually make cards for a specific person/event. This is for a very special young lady that is applying to colleges….she is soooo darn sweet and it has been a joy watching her grow (I actually had a baby shower for her Mom) – She is a peanut in stature but larger and as sweet as they come!
This weekend she will be hearing from her college that she early applied to so I am being super positive and I am hoping to take her this card as well as some of her favorite cookies! Please keep positive vibes coming her way!

I took the liberty of changing the orientation of this sketch/card and I also did something I rarely do….I covered the whole front with the DSP leaving no borders!
I thought that the sentiment was so super BIG and BOLD that it could go without a border! This is a super fun stamp set and I am excited for you all to see it when the new catalog is unveiled!! It coordinates with a kit but the stamp set itself is a keeper – lots of fabulous sentiments!

This is clearly one of those cards that you can clearly see is super easy! When you have the right tools….WOW – things come together in a jif! This punch, the Triple Banner Punch is an invaluable speed tool. I know, I know….cutting out a banner is not a huge deal but being able to punch it – WOW…fast and easy!
The other thing that I think makes this card special is the dashes and dots…that white gel pen sure is a great friend of mine!

Please take a peek on the Pals Paper Art Website and see all of the beautiful ideas – it is a fabulous parade of beauties and then play with us! That is even more fun…seeing your work – I know you can do it….if you need help uploading, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to help you!
Please pop back tomorrow….I have something FUN, PRACTICAL and you will be saying why didn't I think of that!

Happy "Hump Day" – It is already Wednesday…..zip…zip goes the calendar! This is a sneak peak from the new upcoming catalog (Balloon Builders) but also there is a KEEPER of a set from the Holiday Catalog (Oh, What Fun)! I am thrilled that this stamp set is going to be carried over!

I was always in awe with the fun people that twist ad turn balloons onto shapes and animals and the minute I saw this stamp set (and also saw a super cute example of a mouse in the catalog) – I knew exactly what I was going to do!
I realize that this is an unusual Christmas Card to give to someone…it is PERFECT! As you are reading this post my daughter is flying to Switzerland to be with her boyfriend and family for a week.
The "mouse" comes in as when we went to visit them we gave them a little mouse like you will see in the pictures! We laughed and laughed every night we would put cheese out as we always included the mouse!
They moved to Switzerland and some how the mouse did not make it – whenever we skype I ask them….any sighting of the mouse!?!?! Well…I found this little guy when we were in Austin and I knew exactly what card I was going to make for them!

Sometimes I think that we are so "programed" to do traditional themes…designs….etc….but here you can see how I am mixing the old (a Holiday Stamp Set) and a new (the super cute balloon stamp set).
The color that I used was Basic Gray. You can see that his (body/belly) has some shading …that is on the stamp – it makes a balloon so realistic and I am amazed at the thought that went into creating this fun stamp set – it will be a blast to see what others come up with!

Aidan's family is from the UK and they always say "Happy Christmas" so when this stamp set came out I can remember calling Hannah telling her about this FUN stamp set. I truly wish that I could be there when they open up the little guy. (Hannah said that she was going to go to the market to get some cheese to give with it)
This is an A-2 card and I felt that there was too much white space so I thought…..that Washi Tape would be PERFECT and it is a great "break" to the white and it lets the mouse jump out!

You know by now, I am in love with Bakers Twine and today is no different! This little bow is the perfect accent for my little rodent friend! A simple glue dot holds it in place perfectly!
The liner came from the Merry Moments DSP Stack (still on sale) – what a GREAT pack of paper for now but also for many years ahead – the colors and patterns are wonderful and I think it was great that Stampin' Up! had so many sheets on one pack – a real value!

Well….what do you think of my little mouse! I just know that he will be a hit and I also know that Hannah will have a fabulous time in this beautiful country! I asked her to send me a picture of the mouse unveiling!
How are you all doing….hanging in there with the holidays? I know that it is a super busy time for all of us but please try to enjoy it! I am blessed to have my brother and niece here for a quick overnight from Florida! We are looking forward to a fun, family evening ahead!
Please do not forget to check out the Product Share that I am offering – I will be doing 2 waves of product shares, but hop on this one to get your new kids on the block first!
Enjoy the day!

Good Morning! I hope that this fun and simple card brought a smile to your face….this is a sneak peek from both the Occasions Catalog and the Sale ~ A ~ Bration freebie offerings!
I have made a bunch of these cards and I will be mailing them to my customers that have purchased from me in the past year along with their new catalogs!
As I shared with you yesterday, it was not until I started to cut my swatches that I really started to get in the mood for this new catalog!
The gorgeous floral fun on the front of this note card is from the amazing and MUST HAVE bundle called Botanical Gardens. The framelits are over the top and the ideas are endless in how you can mix and match different designs!

This is a simple note card size and it came together in a snap! One thing that I thought was super easy was….I did not stamp the leaves until I cut them out! WOW – that saved me a bunch of time as I can cut 3 pieces at once and being that the stamp set is a photopolymer, you can see through it and PRESTO!

How about this "hello" stamp! Is it just fabulous and there are 9 stamps in total with this free stamp set. It is also available in French and the "bonjour" is equally as stunning….I just could not resist getting that too!
For those of you that are new to Stampin' Up! let me explain the scoop of Sale~A~Bration…
It is the time of the year that many of us love as you have the opportunity to choose free products and are not available at any other time for every $50.00 increment you spend. There are some fabulous stamp sets and paper that I know that you are going to love!

I know that many of you are so excited to be able to order from the new catalog, I do not blame you! It is always fun to see and play with "new toys" Again, I think that it is GREAT that as adults we get just as excited as kids do!
This is another reason why getting a gift certificate from me is GREAT – that way YOU can pick exactly what you want and then be able to get some freebies. Please tell your loved ones to email me and I will be happy to set them up! How easy…how practical!
It is Tuesday…so that means a new batch of weekly deals…..click here to see them and do not forget about the End of Year Sale…many things are already gone!! Enjoy the day….until tomorrow!

Today's post is another super quick post but you will see that some added touches gave this clean and simple card a bit of a different twist from yesterday! As I shared yesterday, this is a super affordable card.
I have a confession, I do purchase Washi Tape and then I totally forget about using it….sound familiar? Today I took a piece of scrap white and added 3 pieces of washi and then used the negative part from my cut of tree and PRESTO!

I shared with you yesterday that I would give you the dimensions if you wanted to make this fun card! Remember to check out the End of Year Sale as the Merry Moments DSP stack and the real red envelope paper are on sale! (There are a bunch of keepers in there)
- The base is a vertical note-card, 3 1/2" X 5" from the thick Whisper White Card Stick
- The DSP Plaid is 3" X 4 1/2" (YEP, you can get (2) cards from a sheet of paper) and then the extras – perfect for tags or 3 x 3 cards! If you choose to mat it like I did today, it is just a "smidge larger", 3 1/8" X 4 5/8"

- The Mossy Meadow is 2 1/4" X 3 1/4" and then I used the smallest tree from the Peaceful Pines Bundle to cut it out. Again, just add 1/8" if you want to mat it and either leave it plain or add the washi tape. (I like the washi tape!)
- Scraps again to the rescue….just stamp the sentiment and the use the word window to give a quick POP out and then do the same in red, cut it in half….adhere it – a weenie bit of a dimensional and PRESTO – DONE!

With this being such a busy time of the year, I think that this is a super sweet card to make up and have on hand with the thank yous around the corner. I adore this paper stack and I agree with Sharon's comment from yesterday, this is a great stack and we are sorry to see it leave. I say….if you adore these plaids and polka dots that are the focus to this stack, than I say GO FOR IT….it is on sale!

Do you have a favorite…??? I hope that showing you these 2 day posts help you to see that there are many ways to make clean and simple cards!
Please feel free to leave me a comment and do not forget that tomorrow will be the last day for you to take advantage of the weekly deals – the precision plate is a must have and why not when it is on sale for 25 % off!
Please do not hesitate to have a family or friend get in touch with me if they would like to purchase for you a gift certificate! With the new catalog around the corner, you will love it! I am an email away!
See you tomorrow…it is the new (and some old) PRODUCT SHARE TIME!

Well…were you taken back by the title of this post? I was hoping to get you attention! I totally realize that the hour glass has turn and I am winding down my Christmas inspiration but then at the same time….it is the HOLIDAYS so why not!
Today I am showing you how to use the "negative" of a die cut…and simply make it work!
This is a super sweet note-card size but can you see that I cut my own paper to the vertical and then used the envelopes for todays card….WHY????? I used the ones that come with the Note-cards and envelopes to send to customers with a super cute card with their new catalog….(I am going to share that with you on Tuesday)

This is my kind of card and one that is SUPER affordable! I hope that you will pop back tomorrow and see some minor and simple changes that make a difference (if you want to because I think that this card is just fine!)
Enjoy the parade of pictures and I hope to see you back tomorrow as I will share with you all of the dimensions. Making a clean card is oh…..so doable…oh so simple…oh so fun!

By now you know my style that works for me…and trust me, this is a card that you can whip up a BUNCH in no time and you will smile – that is always the icing on the cake…each and every time!
Tomorrow we will see "side by side" and then you can decide if being "negative" works for you! Until tomorrow!
