Good afternoon….this is my 2nd post for today and you can click here to see the 1st one….as super cute "bee" note-card…because I did not want to take away from our 2 day post over the weekend, I thought that I would shoot out another post!
Quickly I want to cover 3 things:
1. Organization Labels for you: It was actually a month ago that I blogged about how I store my paper. You can click here to see that post from May 26th.
I shared with you not only the labels for each of the colors we have for your tabs if you choose to store your paper in this fashion. I have done this for YEARS (even when I was a Creative Memories Consultant) plus others that you will use for our new products.
I now have "Built In" paper storage for my cardstock but still use this method for my scraps. BEFORE I always used (2) folders, one for the paper like a blogged about, the other for scraps.
I have had many requests for me to do the labels for the scraps….so here you go.
If you do this method you most likely will use 2 bins…you really do not want to over stuff your paper as that it super frustrating….plus if storage is an issue for you – STACK them….they do have lids) also (These I use the Avery Labels that are very large 2" X 4" and stick them right on the front of the file)
2. The Clearance Rack is going to be stocked! Mark your calendar on Tuesday the 30th and you know the drill…the early bird will get the deals!
There will also be some special weekly deals (remember it''s Tuesday) and there will only be a limited amount of these before they go back to retail price!
3. Clarification – I have talked with several of you that are on the fence about saying those words...I'MGONNA DO IT!
Many of you that have been a demonstrator in the past know that you have had a one time 30% discount for being a newbie…this will be going away July 1st so this is another reason why taking advantage of this is "key"!
For those of you that purchase a kit on or before June 30th…will have 45 days to take advantage of the one time 30% discount. Anyone that joins starting July 1st, will not have this perk.
Also, YES – as a hobby demonstrator you can get the discount on top of the deals that Stampin' Up! offers….I say WOOT-WOOT! (You bet my alarm will be on to get the deals)
Enjoy the evening….hope you can find time to get inky!!! Until tomorrow!
I shared with you yesterday that I have been doing a lot of sitting….(I have been a VERY good patient) and napping all the time! In between siestas I put together this month's Paper Pumpkin!
There are some months that I LOVE everything from start to finish just as they planned and this was one of those months! One of the perks about subscribing to Paper Pumpkin is that you are able to purchase past kits and refills if available!
If this one will become available as a refill kit, I will definitely purchase several of these as I think that both of these cards are adorable! I love the layout…I love the sentiment…I think that they are super practical and fun cards! Below you will the ones I made….I adore them!
I know and trust me I get it that there are some of you that do not care for these kits. They way that I look at it is…it is fun to have a surprise every month and I do find a purpose for them. Many times I have given them away as gifts and there are LOTS of people out there that do not like to think….they like having everything ready to rumble!
Here are the cards that I made! I followed the instructions just as they were in the video with the exception of I made a bow on the front of the vertical card….I am not a fan of seeing the twine when you open it!
I think that you can see why I said if these become a refill kit option – you betcha that I will purchase them….they are super cute and I really had fun putting them together! I love this font!
If you are a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber, You can purchase the below FULL KITS
(these come complete with a stamp set and Ink Spot along with all of the necessities to make the project)
Little be little I'm getting there….who knows maybe there will be something fun tomorrow!…..Back to bed!
Good Morning! Well….I thought that I would have been well enough yesterday to be able to create but I needed to listen to my body and wait another day. The pain is still very severe but I am on top of my Meds so it is under control. I can feel a big difference from each time I take a nap!
I will say that while I have been sitting in bed I have put together some Paper Pumpkins…and now I am working on one of the new kits in the catalog! They are really fun!
You all know that I adore my "fur babies" and they are a big part of my life! Here are some collages I put together for you….(click on them to make them larger) The dogs have been right by my side all day long, it ia amazing the instinct of an animal.
These are all our animals except the adorable pony on the upper right. That is "Big Red"He melts my heart and he belongs to the barn in Virginia where Hannah rides….he is sooooo tiny and he only has one eye. He is the babysitter for many of the horses that get anxious being turned out by themselves so he has a very important job!!!
Enjoy!
One of the things that I adore about blogging is that I can also give you a snapshot of who I am and what makes me roll. That is such and easy one to answer…my wonderful hubbie, my 3 peeps and my 4 legged friends. These are all such a big part if who I am.
There were 2 things (animals) that I always wanted….a Jack Russell and a Pig and yep – I have them both! Eddie, was our first Jack Russell and he is really slowing down but his life has been filled with love, balls, toys and knowing that everyday is a new adventure.
Daisy Mae, the pig came into my life from a horse show…. (actually all of our dogs we have rescued) I had a friend that always knew that I wanted a pig. She knew of a pig that was going through a divorce settlement and the people could not agree who got to keep her (so silly…..but I went to go see her – took her for a trial to make sure that she was ok with our dogs and the rest is history)
I am asked often…does she live in the house…OF COURSE she does…she thinks she is a dog and she goes to the door just like a dog does if she needs to go outside. She does not like the winter one bit and you will find her in front of the fireplace all day long….(I think that I am the only one in the house that likes her but she really adores John)
Tomorrow I promise that I will have something fun for you…I need to take it slow and listen to my body. I did have my ankle re-broken and they had to put a metal plate and pins in it and also there was some tendon damage …so they fixed that! I will be as good as new!
I am the very 1st one that realizes the importance of rehabbing (heck, we have been rehabbing Oscar for so long and YES – Morgan gets to help with Oscar!) I am going to take it slow but I wish you could see that have the 1st floor ready to go!
Good Morning and today is an interesting day for me to say the least. There are 2 things that you need to know before we get to the card today (plus I spilled a water bottle on this card before I photographed it….darn – that never happens!)
#1 – The winner of Monday’s challenge…. is….(drum roll…drum roll….) MARY ANN H – and here is her card! I think that I must have scared many of you away this week as I did not have as many people summit cards but then again it’s summer and everyone’s schedules are crazy!!!
I will be sending her the banner punch and I hope that she will create many masterpieces of work from her heart…(I know she will as she ADORES paper-crafting) This is just one adorable card and it has totally made me smile!
#2 – Do you remember in January I broke my ankle?…well about 10 days ago I went to a specialist as I am still having some issues and the long story is….I need to have surgery and as you are reading this….I am probably in “la-la land” having my ankle re-broken.
I will be fine and truthfully this whole thing happened so fast that I just want to get it over with and I apologize if I have not been on the computer a t0n over the past week but I have been trying to make sure that I have all of my bases covered for when I get home and go thru the recovery!
ENOUGH – think about me …but lets get to this fun card!
Yesterday I share with you the dimensions for the card that I did on Saturday but I had several emails about the scoop on doing the “mosaic” style card that I stepped it up with on Sunday!
So here you go my friends…and can you see that I am using BOTH of the punches that are on the weekly deals this week…. seriously, you just cannot go wrong with our punches!
The base of this card is a Whisper White Notecard and Envelope
The Bermuda Bay is a piece that is 4 ½” X 2 ½” – Why did I pick this size???? Easy = I like to make it easy on myself with cutting out the 1” squares.
You can see in the “strolling store” below the colors and papers I used but did you notice I used the decorative dots embossing folder on the Hello Honey Squares and also the heart in Watermelon Wonder?
Using the “green glue”, I placed the squares where I wanted them and because I thought there was too much space…out came the white pen and you see…I do other things than dots & dashes…it’s a “squiggle and dot” day!
This super sweet sentiment is from the All Boxed Up stamp set…it is paired up to go with the All Boxed Up Kit (page 152) but I can clearly see this stamp set to go with many other cards…like this one today! ( I think these sentiments are super cute!)
A simple bow with the Bermuda Bay Bakers Twine is all that was needed…clean, fresh, fun and DONE!
Well not so fast…we have the envelope fun to do and boy is this a festive envelope.
I stamped the front and then I went on a "search and rescue" for a small stamp and there it was – the "perfect heart" from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set…a couple of fun stamps made it fun!
Let's look at the back flap…I continued the theme on the back flap!….
Now we are DONE! Well….thoughts???Don't you think it is fun! I am loving all of the new papers we have- they are one right after the other…SUPER STELLAR!
Think of me today…I will be just fine…the way I told John about this is….when you have a baby the first time…you do not know what to expect…but the second time you're prepared.
I have been through this and now I am prepared….my stampin' stuff is downstairs and I have this HUGE list of wishes in my head to work on!
Whew…lots to cover so lets dive right in!I am covering 3 things today:

THE MEASUREMENTS OF THE CARD!
Now let's get to the measurements of the card that I did over the weekend! I loved it and I was super happy that many of you did as well….to refresh your memory you can click here to see Saturday's Post and below is the card that I am talking about! (I did go back and answered your comments – THANK YOU for them…I do read each and everyone.)
The card base is whisper white heavy card stock (this is a total must have – you will ADORE it) and the size is 3 1/2" X 6 1/2" – I just love odd card sizes
Old Olive is 2 1/4" X 6 1/4"
The AMAZING DSP from the English Garden is 2" X 6" ( just think – you could do 12 cards from 1 sheet of DSP – that deserves a WOOT-WOOT!)
The rest is straight forward, I would use the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement. The color I used was Hello Honey.
For the bow…our bakers twine is so darn affordable (page 158 in the catalog) and I like multiple strands together…I usually take about 8" and tie a simple bow…just like a shoe!
The envelope punch board was my other friend and I like to cut off the bottom of the back flap (sometimes when you make odd size envelope, the flap get very long…I think that this adds interest as well).
I do like using a very thin bead of "green glue" just around the edges to place the DSP…let it "set up" a bit and then cut off the excess from your envelope flap!
NOW TO THE WEEKLY DEALS
It would be a great Tuesday if I did not share with you the WEEKLY DEALS….Click here to see them – my pick….THE PUNCHES…we have the best punches EVER and whenever you can get them for 25% off – I say WOOT-WOOT….this is a fabulous way to build up your inventory as punches are true SPEED TOOLS….
Thanks for "hanging in there" today – I know that there is a lot to digest…I cannot say enough how much the product shares will help you stay organized and also give you an opportunity to get the new goodies without braking the bank.
We have often talked about being organized….and the "swatch books and paper on a ring" really help keep your work area tidy…also, if you are a Demonstrator – these are PERFECT for you to be able to share with your friends and customers all that we offer and the key is – they can see it and feel it in person.
I have a very special "little friend" and her name is Morgan….she is the little "grasshopper" that rides at the barn. She actually just turned 13 but she is super tiny….if she weighs 80 lbs…that's a good day! Morgan adores my daughter Hannah and she is always so kind to our horses!
I needed to make her a special card and "purple and rhinestones" seemed fitting for a special young lady!
While Hannah has been gone at her internship this summer, Morgan totally pampers and loves Stanley, (our horse). Morgan LIGHTS UP when she has the opportunity to ride him. Her Mom often sends me videos of them riding and I melt when I hear her say, I love you Stanley!!!
When I made this card it was super fast and came together like a "Peanut Butter and Jelly" card….(that'swhat I say when something is just so easy and natural to me.)
I am up to walking Oscar (our horse we are rehabbing) for 45 minutes…trust me…just walking for 45 minutes gives you plenty of time to think about things and I "planned" out the card in my head so when I came up to the house…it was a quick "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"
I made her some Banana Bread and wanted a fun card to tuck under the bow (I am going to use the BermudaBay Stripe Wide Ribbon) and I know that it will look super fun! Remember….it's all about the total package sometimes….taking a couple extra minutes for details "pulls it all together" and you will be happy and the person that receives it will feel super special!
This is a great stamp set and I am thrilled that it is carried over. It is one of those "sleepers" to me and I have used the vase and flowers before for you on my blog and you all have enjoyed it! It now comes as a bundle…so if you do not already have this punch set, now is the time to buy them together as you will save 15%
You can see that I POPPED up some of the stars and some I just left flat. Doing this adds instant dimension and fun. Did you notice that I quickly stamped the stars in the Gorgeous Grunge splatter…
Here is a great easy tip! You can see that I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay….I took the stamp and stamped the star in Rich Razzleberry on a piece of scraps. I then did a quick "fussy cut" and adhered one down flat and then the other I popped up!
WHY DID I DO THIS???? Well, when you look at it from the side it looks much more finished and clean. I think that seeing the purple flat and then the popped up one shows that you took some extra time for the details…remember – we all love and appreciate the details!!!
I must admit, I am much more a "pearls gal" that a "rhinestone gal" but I think that girls of this age really like the sparkle! Morgan is a sparkle to me and I know that she will love and appreciate this card. I am getting ready to take Stanley to Georgia for Hannah to ride him while she is there at her internship and I know that Morgan is going to miss him.
We appreciate Morgan and her love and kindness she gives to our horses…I know that she misses Hannah as well and is excited for her to come back in August. It is always so special to see a bond and friendship a "grasshopper" has for an older girl…(Hannah thinks is special too)
You know what the weekend is about….a Show and Tell Saturday and then It will Step it Up on Sunday! I am doing the "Happy Dance" as FINALLY…my order is to be here tomorrow! I am super excited to see some "new friends" in person!
I know that you all are busy and I know that there are so many choices of fabulous blogs etc….but THANKYOU for taking the time to pop in….I deeply appreciate YOU and YOUR TIME! Please feel free to email me…until tomorrow!
Below you will see the supplies that I used for today's card….shopping in your jammies is fun and "in style"
