Is it really THURSDAY already?….is it really the END OF THE MONTH already? Wow – this month has ZOOMED by but at the same time…it has been a busy, a fun, a rewarding month with Stampin’ Up!
I just love to see the excitement with everyone when a new catalog comes out. I know how I feel when we get to see it way before you… I feel like a kid at Christmas!
Today’s PPA Color Challenge is from the one, the only….Brian King! I adore Brian and spending any time with him is always an experience! He is not only one talented stamper, he is one special person! I hope that you look at the below color sketch and play along! (There is a “funny” about this card…I’ll tell you at the end!)
There are just so many elements of this card that I just LOVE…I do not know where to start! Let’s chat…so – what do you think about this stamp set, Vertical Greetings? – Do I have a “THUMBS UP…or a THUMBS DOWN?” – I hope that is it UP as I adore it! The possibilities are endless and you can easily make the topiary’s seasonal!
What I did was cut off 1″ of the right side of the front panel of the A-2 card and then stamped the sentiment to the inside of the card! FUN, right!!!! 🙂
Trying to make “Mr. King” happy with getting all of the color in, I decided to take (2) thin, 1/4 strips of the colors for the challenge (that was smart….right?) and adhere them to the edge.
I simply could not leave that white space naked, that would have been boring so out came the Festive Embossing Folder…a true blue keeper!
A quick, super quick chat about the embellishments on this card – it is from the Sunshine Sayings Bundle and YES – you need to purchase this as a bundle. There is absolutely nothing not to love about this bundle ~ so practical and timless.
So…what do you think? Did it intrigue you by cutting off a section of the base card? I am just over the moon with the Vertical Greetings Stamp Set….so much that this is what I am going to use in July for my Stamp of the Month Kit.
I do hope that you pull out these 3 colors and then think of something to make? I honestly had no idea where I was going with this one….I just held the 3 colors in my hand and said – GO FOR IT!
Now for a “FUNNY” for you – yesterday we had an electrician at the house doing work. He arrived at 7 a.m. and left at 5:15 p.m. I had NO IDEA that he would have been there all day but we did have a lot of work needed to get done. He was sweet, super sweet and very appreciative.
Needless to say we spent the day together…..and he was great with the dogs and even Daisy made a visit. I needed to run into town several times for things he needed and I tried to help him with awkward things etc….He told me that it was his 3rd Anniversary and he still needed to take some ladders back to the Home Office before heading home.
I asked him, “Did you get your wife a card?” His answer was no, not yet…..I am going to stop on the way home….WELL…WAS THIS HIS LUCKY DAY OR WHAT! I showed him cards…and guess what – he picked this one! It just goes to show you how random things happen….HE was happy and I was happy! (now I hope that his wife liked it) 🙂
The Moral of this story is….you never know who you will meet….and random acts of kindness fill you heart and joy tank to the max! Enjoy the day….I’ll be back later!
p.s. – I also gave him some BLUEBERRIES….and he smiled!

Good morning and I know that many of you have sent me mails….Are YOU DOING ANOTHER PRODUCT SHARE…. YEP – this is it…the LAST ONE so please take a peak and email me back if you want to have the “last chance” in the New Catalog goodies
(I am one that does not like to “assume” that everyone knows what a product share is so I will do my best to explain.)
A Product Share allows you the opportunity to get the news products (mainly the papers, ribbons and embellishments) in a smaller quantity so your “piggy bank” is not hit so hard…because the reality is – there are a ton of stamps, new tools, new punches etc…that you are just going to “HAVE TO HAVE” and by participating in a Product Share you are getting great feel for all of the new products; you can try them and then if you choose to order whole packs – you can easily do that!
I basically take the products that I know you love….divide them into smaller quantities and then pass the savings to you so you do not have to purchase whole rolls of ribbons…whole packages of paper etc….

I know that you all enjoyed last Tuesday when we worked with Paper Storage and I am thrilled that many of you enjoy getting “TIPS” to help you with organizing and also making the whole process of crafting more enjoyable.
I have shared this tip before but sometimes you just can’t see certain things too many times…and I hope that this post does inspire you to do this!
Before we get the the pictures, let’s chat about are ink refills necessary? To me, I say yes. WHY? Easy = if you have an ink pad than I say FOR SURE get the refill. When I first started stamping I did not “drink the Kool-Aid” and I can remember working on a card and getting so frustrated that I was not getting an even, deep and rich stamp.
I learned my lesson and I have never regretted purchasing them. When you stop and think about it….we put lots of money into our stamps ….our papers, tools, framlits etc….so don’t you think that the small investment in an ink refill is worth making your projects look the best!
O.k. – enough chattering, the secret to my organizing today is a hand held punch and glue dots! YEP, that’s it – simply use the coordinating paper to punch out a sample cardstock and simply pop it on the top of the ink refill!

I had many comments and emails about that many of you have been working in your craft areas. YIPPEE – me too! It feels so good to get things in place. I know that I am “happier” when things are in order….it just is a more “pleasant experience” having your tools and products in order.
Here is another tip…and one that you might think is silly – have a piece of paper with things to order next time….I cannot tell you how many times I have ran low on something and I did not write it down. If you are anything like me….if it is not written down….I forget!

The closest was Rosanne, she picked 23 quarts – WOOT-WOOT my friend!!! You are such a super talented stamper and I am happy to send this your way! (Rosanne is a downline and remember, I shared her blog with you all) –
Now to the noise…that darn noise – it is a frog….or should I say “FROGS” as there must be an Orchestra (I admit, this clip art below is perfect, I totally laughed) There were MANY of you that pick frogs….and the winner out of a “house hat” was….Megan Smith!!!!

This is what we feel like on Randall Lane….We had so much fun picking them and every year for Fathers Day I give my dear Dad a “IOU” for Blueberries as he adores them. As soon as they are ready to pick, I do so and put some in his freezer….a treat that he enjoys all year long…..BUT we have SOOOOO many Blueberries but lovin’ them!
(Was Willy Wonka the best or what) – we have had Blueberry Smoothy’s….Blueberry Muffins…Blueberry cobbler…and today I am going to jam! This was FUN and I hope that if you have the opportunity to “reap the joy of nature”, you can do so!
Can you believe that this is the last week of June!?!?! YIKES – darn that calendar! I hope to see you tomorrow…it is a “Tips on Tuesday” post….some ideas that will help you stay organized!
