Monday beauty queens….

Good Morning and here is to a great week! It was a fabulous weekend and I have been super busy trying to get the Product Shares (things that were back ordered, ready and out the door) -only to discover that there are other things on back order….Calgon, take me away!

Back-orders are frustrating but the great thing is that Stampin' Up! does do a great job in giving us "heads up" for dates that they will be available….so the GREAT news is that the Lace In Color Ribbon and the Timeless DSP will also be in this week.

YIPPEE SKIPPEE that the Regals and Neutrals DSP Paper Stacks are in and WOWZERS are they just beautiful!

I promise that I will be back in the groove with creating, but I also know that you all enjoy seeing other peoples work – we get inspiration from all over and the more you see…the more you will get ideas and hopefully give it a whirl!

I know that many of you have specific questions on cards that were posted last week, and I will reach out the the "artists" to get your questions answered!

Here you go….please feel free to comment and give them some woot-woot's and lovin'!

These 3 gals are the best….(2) are sisters and Robyn is a dear friend. They have so much talent and they love to reach out and try new things…They have beautiful hearts and are always so inspiring. I admire their passion and their love and friendship they have….(they said that they would adopt me and wow….what an honor)

Now is this AMAZING Watercoloring or what! Julie makes this look so effortless and I adore the purples…her shading and blending of colors are just over the top. When you hold this card, it is so solid  – using watercolor paper does make a difference and this is a great example a super duper watercolored card!

Here is another spectacular card….do you remember that Roberta did a card several weeks ago ? I reached out to her to see if she could do a tutorial for her incredible shading…and I simply was not able to connect with Roberta (my fault) BUT…..I will be going past where she lives in August so I am hoping to have a great YACK & LEARN session.

She used a white glossy paper for this beautiful scape. The work is just meticulous and I truly do not think that I would ever be able to re-create a work of art like this, but I'm game to try to learn…..remember simple is my middle name!

IMG_8964

Now to go back to the card that I had many requests about the dimensions, the adorable "Dog" card…..and I said that I was going to create it and blog about it….(I will but I simply have been too busy to sit down and try to make it) so if you want Mary Ann's instructions, email me and put in the subject line Dog Card…and I will shoot you what she sent to me!

Hopefully later this week I will be able to do it….but if you do not want to wait – email me! Many thanks for popping in and many thanks for the talent out there but more importantly and special to me….thanks for all of the well wishes. I am going to have THE BEST ANKLE in the world!

Tomorrow will be a super clean, simple, fun card that will make you smile! Until tomorrow!

Step it up Sunday!

Did you get to see some fireworks last night? I did and they were BEAUTIFUL….I was able to zoom all over…I saw them in Washington DC…in New York…..In Boston  – I was just all over the place from the comforts of home… the TV!

I am doing great…and feelin' great. Each day I am feeling stronger and stronger and now I am to stand on crutches and slowly put weight down (just a couple of times a day) and then ZOOM – back to my scooter! I will have to wear that fashionable immobilizer until therapy starts in August as I just cannot flex my ankle.

Ok  – enough about me – let's get to the changes today! I just cannot say enough about this kit…it is just great! For those of you that do not like the word "kit" – don't let that sway you as you are getting a stamp set that is WOW and just think of how many other cards you will make with this practical stamp set.

Please pop back to yesterday's post to see all 20 of the cards that I put together, just as the instructions said and I think that they are great….but today I am going to tease you with (4) of them that I "stepped up"….I have made comments for you! ENJOY!

I will first have the card that I "stepped up" and then the next picture (collage) will show you what it looked like yesterday! (remember, click on the collage to make it bigger)

Well – there you go! Cute…right? In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with the way the kit comes…or the way that I have stepped it up today! They are both great and when you look at the additions, it are very affordable….bakers twine, the envelope liner paper…simple, basic items!

Here are a couple of comments about the kit…

  • There are extra wooden pieces left….(4 solid hearts, 2 open hearts & 4 butterflys)
  • You have plenty of washi tape left – (I actually did my 2nd set of cards with it)
  • Several leaves and a couple of flowers
  • Lots of sequins left.

This is just a great value, I think that you will agree that if you were to purchase this stamp set it would be at least $18.00+ ….just love the sentiments! Just think the stamp set and 20 cards and envelopes for just $35.00!

Do you want the rest of the "stepped up" images….easy, if you purchase this kit from me, I will be happy to send them to you! Hit that CLICK NOW button and get ready for fun!

You can see the extra items that I used in the scrolling store…and recommend the glue dots and the "green glue"…love these 2 items and Bakers Twine….a must have for sure!

Enjoy the day and I hoped that you enjoyed this showcase of this NEW product!

p.s. – For those of you that would like to earn hostess stamp sets and free product, this would be a fabulous opportunity for you to get a Hostess code from me…..send an email out to your friends and have your own Watercolor Wishes fun time!

With everything already being in the kit…it is a great way for you to invite friends and family to have fun and walk away with completed cards!

Simple Saturday!

I am soooo confused with what day of the week it is….I kept thinking yesterday was Saturday as John was off from work and the fishermen were very successful but most importantly they had fun together! It is wonderful to have James home.

Happy 4th of July to everyone…it is just so hard to believe the that calendar is rolling forward so fast. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day and if you are getting together with family and friends that you make great memories, eat lots of yummy food. We have a wonderful country and we are very blessed to have the opportunities that we have.

More Beauties on parade…

Here you go….here are another batch of beauties that are "walking the runway" I think that it is soooo darn fun to see what others make….we all have an inner gift and we all love to share and we all love to see.

I can remember when Hannah was learning to ride, a trainer told her that the best thing she could do is watch, watch, and watch some more….reason being  – this is how you learn….and I think that this is very similar with card making…it is fun to see other ideas, give them a try, if it works – great, if not – don't do it again!

Here you go….enjoy and I know that these ladies would love some love and comments…you all are so wonderful in doing this, and trust me…it does make a difference!

I tried to put in the scrolling store some of the key products these talented stampers used….hope it helps!

IMG_8957

This is just adorable! Rosanne makes me SMILE with her white dashes and dots….(A stamper after my own heart) This sentiment is from one of my HANDS DOWN favorite stamp sets and YES – it is still available. It is NOT in the catalog but if you remember, it was one of those released in the Winter. This is such a fun card and I adore the fun shape!

p.s. – The other stamp set she used, Crazy About you….is a FABULOUS set….but I totally recommend that you purchase it as a bundle and I also like it in the photopolymer as it is so easy to use the sentiments!

IMG_8960

Is this beautiful or what! I love Jane's colors that she used…so soothing yet so classic. Jane is a SUD and as you can see….a great one at that! WOWZERS on the watercoloring, this stamp set, The Wetlands is such a classic stamps et that works for many great cards.

Jane has been an amazing friend to my family for years and I used to be in a Stamp Club with her and some amazing and fun ladies…we have shared many fun times together.

IMG_9057

This is soooo darn cute! When I saw this single stamp in the catalog, I was on my very 1st order! You know that I adore single stamps but to me, there is something that is so fun about this one. I love Nancy's choice of the framelits, I think it is the new Lots of Labels Framelits. Clean, simple and oh so sweet – love it!

IMG_9056

Stunning….just stunning! These colors are so rich and fun together. Georgette did such a great with not only her color selections, I love all of the textures….there is ribbon, bakers twine…candy dots! This paper from the new paper stacks is just filled with oodles of great prints and bold colors.

In Georgette's note she commented that she adores the paper prints in these new 6 X 6 paper stacks and also….something that made me smile HUGE….her nephew had a Jack Russell names Eddie!

That's is for today….I must say – I was running out of steam yesterday and I was a good girl and laid down….

Thank you all for all of the great cards and well wishes….there are more to come so please pop back. You all do such a great job and they are so special to me.

In closing, I thought that this picture of Rosie was appropriate with how I feel….she is sooooo darn cute but also such a mess. Someone asked me what she is…..hmmmm – not sure but Jack Russell for sure….and maybe Chihuahua…she is super tiny…..she only weighs 8 lbs. but she acts like she weighs 100 lbs. – she is a tough little girl!

Until tomorrow…..Please feel free to email me if you need anything….the guys are going fishing tomorrow morning so it is me and my precious pooches!

A PPA Color Challenge…FUN!

IMG_9002

It is Thursday and that means it is the day of the Week for the Pals Paper Art challenge…now you could see from yesterday's cards…that there are a ton of talented stampers out there, so – how about it? Play along. Today is a color challenge and here is the palette we are working with today! Summer to the max.

PPA258

I adore the boldness of these colors and at first glance I was going to do something very bold, perhaps a color block…then I thought about masking stripes. You see, it is super fun to look at something and then try to figure out how you want to go with it!

IMG_9013

I love a card that has a bunch of "white space"….how about you? To me, white space really makes a clean and classic look. The inspiration for today's card came from a Hostess Stamp set that is a "keeper"…..

138700G

I decided to do some water-coloring…the fun and relaxing technique that you simply cannot mess up…just keep doing it – the more you do it, the more confident you will become. I was actually surprised that it turned out as well as I used our regular card stock.

I am LOVIN' the new heavy white paper and I used that as the base for the 4 1/2" square card. The may pice is the regular weight…

IMG_9007

I also totally forgot to use Black Staz On….today I used the Memento (which is not waterproof) but it worked! I was careful not to have too much water on the aqua painter. With the Cucumber crush being sooooo bold….I barely touched the painter to get the most faint tint of green.

IMG_9003

The embossing also adds a great touch, it literally only takes a second to run the stylus down the simply scored tool, but the end result is totally worth it!

IMG_9015

I used scraps of dimensionals to lift up the flower…nothing is ever wasted with the stampin dimensionals! The "stamping vitamins" that we could never be without!

IMG_9004

Let's touch on the sentiment…..great, clean, classic and the font – beautiful! I used the Night of Navy to not only stamp the sentiment but to mat it, uses the SPEED TOOLS…our Circle Punches….the 2" one is on the weekly deals….if you do not have it….HIT that button as it is a very versatile punch as it works with many sentiments.

IMG_9011

The liner….from the In Color Envelope Liner Paper….(oops, I forgot to put that in the "scrolling store") – this is fabulous to work with and the value – WOW, how can you go wrong at the price of $6.00 for the pack!

Ta-da….thoughts? I think it is a pretty card and it really is super easy to "fussy cut" out the flower. Please do not stress over cutting things out – remember, use the "back" of your scissors…not the "tips" and also the BIG key is to use a great pair of scissors…like our paper snips (just hide them or your family members will take them)!

IMG_8996

Please pop over to the Pals Paper Site and see what the other designers come up with and then…..go get inky! If you need help uploading, please feel free to email me and I will be glad to help you!

WOWZERS – you all LOVED the parade yesterday and tomorrow there will be more! Great news….my favorite "Sheep Herder" sent me the directions to make that adorable dog card…..I will attempt to make a dog for you and then blog about it so you can make a kennel yourself!

I am so thankful that you all gave sooooo much love and support to everyone with your comments. I did read them all and I have answered many….I will finish today – I am so blessed that you all are so sweet to leave so many comments!

I am SUPER HAPPY that the Regals and Neutrals Paper Stacks are order-able now and I am a busy bee trying to get the backlog of the product share out!

Thanks for always making me smile…..I appreciate you and value your time! Until tomorrow!
