Welcome to the June Pals Blog Hop. This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2014-15 annual catalog and idea book. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects. Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from  the 1st stop  – Natalie Bradley at Natalie Bradley Events on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

Wow…where do I begin as there as so many great new products with this catalog and I am still looking through it finding more and more and my head has been spinning with ideas! To me – this new catalog lends itself to clean, simple, fresh and FUN projects!

IMG_0836

I am just going to dive in and list the products that I have used for this card….(and I know it seems like a bunch…but when you look at it – they are "key" products that are staples in card making!) The other "KEY" factor that I adore about this catalog is the fact that there are several "single" stamps just like this camera and will not break the bank and you can have a bunch of fun with them!

IMG_0827

I haven't used this color for a while, blushing bride, but I think it is super with the Sahara Sand! I am just rolling with the products (with a couple comments) – please know that you can click the thumbnails below and it will go right into your shopping cart! Easy…right!

IMG_0839

  • Snap Shot Stamp – WOWZERS – just $9.95
  • Hip Notes Stamp Set  -  A keeper of a stamp set!
  • Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder (WOWZERS – a must have)
  • Memento Ink (my new favorite black ink…so easy to clean, especially on the clear stamps)
  • Squares Framelits ( I used the #5 & #6 for the frame)
  • Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (Another MUST have…love it!)
  • Big Shot (No-brainer…a must have for all projects)
  • Stampin' Dimensionals ( we all need a dose of stampin' vitamins)
  • White Gel Pen (another – would not be without….do NOT stand it upright)
  • Stamp-a-ma-jig (Perfect placement everytime – I have a love affair with this tool)

IMG_0840

This card just makes me smile – I think that the embossing folder is the 1st factor that makes me happy! Trust me – you will be seeing alot of this gem! I also lined the back flap with the textured solid paper! You see…there are times that plain and simple works!

IMG_0834

Here is another thing I adore to do…gently push the centers of the flowers with the stylus tool and then add a simple punch from the Owl Punch for the centers! I always look at them and think they are getting "sunshine" with how the petals curl!

IMG_0835

Do you remember when I said that I was thrilled that Stampin' Up! has come out with so many affordable single stamps that carry a big punch…look at page 167 and the Water Color Thank you….LOVE IT – I just made over 50+ of them that I blogged about last week….just adore these single stamps!

“Bravo Stamp Set”…3 x’s in a row…

IMG_0818
It kind of sounds like tic-tac-toe…3 x's in a row! This is one super stamp set and if I were you….I would let it have a great home with YOU! Remember to use the hostess code  YJ4EWY3C for any orders you place with me this week so you can have a chance of the "Pot of Gold" and YOU will win the hostess winnings – my thanks to YOU for your support!

This card is for the Grandparents to the twins that I made a card for yesterday, click here to see it if you missed yesterday's post! Playing with the colors of the school…it came together in a jif! When I showed John it….he said – "switch up the colors and make the stripes go horizontal and do a 4th of July card!" I am going to take his advice!

Again, the key tools are….ruler, pencil, eraser, green glue, stampin trimmer and dimensionals! I have a bunch of pictures but not lots of time to type so here you go! The size of the finished card is 3" X 6 1/2" and with the envelope punch board…WOW – instant magic!

IMG_0812

The strips of "real red" paper are 1/4" wide – (great way to use up scraps) and then the "green glue" is the best for accuracy! (just love the ability to wiggle them into place…right on the pencil lines!)

IMG_0810

IMG_0811

The sentiment is from the Bravo Photopolymer Stamp Set….LOVE that you can see exactly where your placement is! The size of this is 2" X 5 1/2" and then the mat in black is just a "smidge" larger!

135380G

The new star punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and again, this is a must have for you! Please do not forget that you can take a "test drive" with Stampin' Up! for just $50.00 and you can pick $55.00 worth of product! You have nothing to lose and you can do this for 1 day or a lifetime – the choice is yours!

133787G

The fun and different envelope was made in a cinch with the help of the Envelope Punch Board….You just start with a 7 7/8" square pices of paper and then the outer flap of the envelope is adorned with the FUN DSP called – Back to Black….a favorite of many already!

IMG_0820

Well….that's it – Mary Beth was OVER THE MOON happy with winning so much with placing an order with me last week. I am doing it again this week, so please put the hostess number of  YJ4EWY3C in your order (If I see that you did not do it – I will call SU and change it for you)

I thank you all so much for your "popping in" every day and please continue to tell your family and friends about my blog…my passion…my desire to inspire and believe in you! You can subscribe to my daily postings!

IMG_0825

Tomorrow is a GREAT day – it is the PALS Monthly Blog hop showcasing new favorites of many of the PALS! This is such a great group of talented stampers and wow – the best leader in the world…Mary Fish!

I know that the Grandparents of these 2 fine young men are going to love and appreciate this card! No doubt, they are very proud of them…as they should be!

Can't wait until tomorrow…..blog hops are fun!!!!! Until tomorrow!

Make it MINE Monday week 6!

IMG_0801

Woot-woot….it is Monday and that is our time to have a personal challenge with ourselves in trying to do a sketch! Don't let this one stress you…you can do it – if you do not want to do like I did …no worries – what about circles…hexagons…the sky is the limit!

Here is the sketch for this week…I did a search for clean and simple sketches and this one caught my eye – it was designed by Pamela Young in 2012!

Aa3099e564453279f50d057143cd447f

Before we go any further…the winner of the hostess loot is Mary Beth from Maine….and she wins $115.00 in free products and also gets to get 3 items at 50% off! WOOT-WOOT…..I am going to do this again this week since the catalog is so fresh and new!

This week….this is the hostess code for you is YJ4EWY3C  just put in if your order is UNDER $150.00. If your order is more that $150.00 -you are already a hostess and get can get free goodies for yourself (but please know, I still will put your name in the pot for the week…WHY am I doing this…easy – because – I thank you for your support to my Stampin' Up! fun and want YOU to have a chance to win).

This week…everyone that places an order with my this week….will receive a Decorative Mask (page 205) – I will be doing a post on this great product…

IMG_0794

Let's get to this card for the day and please…try the sketch at home…it was fun to do but I will say, the "key" product for me was the "green glue" – made it soooo easy to properly place the squares!

I am sending this to (2) fine young men that are identical twins that have just graduated from high school with honors and have such an exciting future ahead They both are heading to Johns Hopkins for College and they will thrive!

I have a bunch of pictures for you and I wanted to make this card open on the side – just to change things up! A ruler, the green glue and the stampin trimmer are your friends for this card! I decided to use the trimmer just in case you did not have a square punch and the squares are 3/4" – easy-peasy with the trimmer! ( This is a MUST HAVE tool is you do not have it….)

IMG_0789

You can see that this was the start and the most important part to this card…simple when you think about it! Start in the center and work your way out! The "green glue" allows you the "wiggle" room to get perfect placement every time!

IMG_0790
From the above photo you can see how I worked the squares (in the school colors) …the "over hang" I simple snipped off and erased the pencil lines! Again, easy -peasy!

Now for the sentiment….do you remember this stamp set from yesterday? Well…it's a keeper and I am going to do a post on it tomorrow…just love it! It is called Bravo…and I adore it as it is a Photopolymer Stamp Set – making it oober easy to stamp!

135380G

To stamp the image, I used the Memento Ink…why? – It is a great ink and it is easy to clean – you know that I love the black staz-on…but this is easier to clean! WOOT-WOOT!

IMG_0807

This sentiment makes a BOLD statement and I thought that the balance of the Real Red Candy Dots was the perfect touch to the card!

IMG_0805

From this angle you can see that it is a flat card….wowzers – 2 days in a row! Not tomorrow though….it's another cute and practical card for the Grandparents of this fine young men!

IMG_0804

The liner is from my favorite – the Designer Series Paper  that are in each color family – this is from the Brights Collection! The envelope framelit is another must have….what in the world would we do without it!?!?

Go have fun….stretch yourself and if you want….email me your take on this sketch! Remember, this is the hostess code for this week – YJ4EWY3C…from today until Sunday, June 15th at 8 p.m. (Eastern time) and I will announce the winner next Monday!

What do you have to loose…nothing – I am sure that Mary Beth is SUPER EXCITED to be the winner this week – this is my way of thanking you for being so great and inspiring to me! Other great news….MISSION ACCOMPLISHED – I finished all of the ribbon shares and they are in the mail today!!!!

Woot-woot to Mary Beth….woot-woot to you for trying this sketch…woot-woot to a GREAT week~

Until tomorrow…remember, I am an email away!

One Layer card fun!

IMG_0769

I love trying to stretch myself in making one layered cards and I know that I said that I was going to do a 3-D project for you today, I just could not resist showing you this today and I do hope that you try it!

The inspiration for this card is from my friend Ted that is battling cancer. He received great news from the doctors on Friday that his tumor has shrunk and when he called to tell his son….he said "Son, great news…I'm going to be around a bit longer" – he has the BEST attitude and he still is doing Chemo 3 X's a week….please keep him in your prayers!

IMG_0768

One layered cards are sometimes a challenge to make but I have lots of pictures for you so hopefully it will make sense to you! I am using basic circle punches in sizes 1 1/4", 1" and 1/2". I just use scraps of paper to punch out the shape to be able to sponge in the color!

IMG_0757

IMG_0761

Sorry for the glared picture but you can get the idea! This stamp set is one of the new Photopolymer Stamps Sets, Borderettes and it is a keep as you can use this for soooo many different cards! I used Sahara Snd to give it the backdrop that is simple but the color is light enough for me to stamp over!

133662S

IMG_0762

You can see how I randomly sponged circle images and I wanted to show you how I "masked them" – very easy…Do you see the red circle…that is the same size as the one underneath that I sponged…I simply places the red one over it….then took the circle template as shown in the next picture…sponged and voila!

IMG_0763

A couple of tips and tricks!

I just used a 1" painters tape…something that is not too sticky – actually what I did to make sure that it was not too sticky (as I would not want to rip my card) I put the tape on my jeans and pressed it hard to make it less sticky before I placed it on the card….but you need to make sure that the edge that is going to be sponged….is pressed really hard to get the tight!

The colors I used were inspired from the Lullaby Designer Series Paper…these papers are just WOW this year!!! I love the fact that right under the paper it lists the coordinations colors and that's exactly what I used! I just love it when things are easy!

133695G

After you do all of the stamping…carefully peel off the "mask rectangle" and WOW…YOU DID IT!

IMG_0765

How about that sentiment…another BLUE RIBBON WINNER…it is called Bravo and wow – how appropriate – just look at the great sentiments in this stamp set!

135380G

IMG_0779

Isn't this a great technique?!?! I truly hope that you give it a try. Play around with your colors…you would not have to mask it off if you did not want to – there are many colors that you could just shade over top and it would look great!

IMG_0784

Remember….today is the last day for you to have the opportunity to winner INSTANT hostess credits! For every order that I have received this week, I will randomly (using random.com) pick a lucky winner. Please click here to see the post earlier this week but remember the Hostess Code is 9AHHUX9Z.

IMG_0777

Well…thoughts? Will you try to do this technique? I sure do hope so as I found it to be fun and different! Tomorrow we are going to be "back on track" with Make it Mine Mondays – a personal challenge that I am throwing your way for you to try at home!

I am oober proud of many that I have been sooooo loyal in trying and then sharing their works with me! I do think I am "on track" for all of the ribbon shares to go out on Monday! WOWZERS – it's a lot of ribbon but I know that you are going to love being able to have many of the ribbons at a fraction of having to purchase every rol!

Have a fabulous day and get ready for another great week of inspiration – WOOT-WOOT to Ted and you are truly my inspiration – keep that positive attitude and continue to inspire…until tomorrow!

Woot-Woot – fun & done!

IMG_0749

Happy Saturday everyone! This catalog and me are like "Peanut Butter & Jelly"…I just love it and I will say that I think the products/stamps totally lend to making clean and simple cards…and I LIKE THAT!

Again, you do not need me at all on this card and it is like 1-2-3 to make but I will give you some tips! I tried to "discipline" myself in not "diving" into my new order and to be focused on getting the Ribbon Share orders going forward but after I sorted all of the rolls of ribbon, I rewarded my self to 15 minutes of playtime!

IMG_0707

The stamps are easy to see during "playtime" but I needed to get into the packs of Designer Series Papers and HOME RUN….Stampin' Up! had 3 men on base and the batter hit it out of the park with the papers this year!

This paper for the envelope is from the Back To Black Designer Series Paper and it is simple WOW…soooo classic and fun! I can already see many, many amazing projects with this beauty!

133700G

I often get asked how do I line the outer part of the envelope…well it's so easy…I use the snail…all around the outer edges and trim away! This is one time that I much prefer the snail over the "green glue" as I do not want any glue bubbles behind – I like the smooth feel!

IMG_0754

I feel like I am going backwards but here you go!

  • The card is a note card size but I thought it would be fun to make a Black Note Card to really play up on the DSP and use a white envelope!
  • I adore paper and I try to be frugal with my paper! You can see in the below photo that I punched out as many of the "center part" that I could – why not…I have a organizational thing? (I really do not know what it is called) that has a bunch of little drawers…I adhere on the outside a sample of the "punched" image that it is the drawers….works for me!

IMG_0706

  • The dimensions of the papers are Bermuda Bay – 4 1/2" X 3 1/4"…the black – 4 1/8" X 2 7/8" and the white stamped piece is 4" X 2 3/4"
  • How about this stamp set…it is called Big News….it is super fun and all of the sentiments are fresh and fun!

134018S

  • The extra touch was the stars popped out from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and the a simple black candy dot from the Neutrals Candy Dots (these little guys sure do come in handy!)

IMG_0751

I am sure that you know someone that is totally AWESOME and what a fun and quick card! Pop back tomorrow for a 3-D fun…..I am in love with this new paper and can't wait to showcase more of it for you!

Have a great day! Until tomorrow!
