by Susan Itell | May 23, 2014 | Super Easy, Thank You |

You know that I adore the notecard size and envelopes and I do not think I have shared this with you…but a big woot-woot because with the new catalog…they will be available in crumb cake!!!! YIPPEE!!!!
This might be a little card – but it carrys a BIG punch with the boldness of the DSP! This is one of the new one called Lullaby and it is just super (actually, I think all of the DSP this year will hit a home run with you!)

- Crumb Cake is the color of the day and until the new catalog comes out….I needed to cut it to a 3 1/2" X 5" card and SU already has the envelopes in this size1
- The DSP was cut 1/4" smaller and I adhere it to the base as I knew the flowers would be my POP factor for todays card! (Don't you just LOVE the boldness of this paper) Even though this is Baked Brown Sugar…it looks super with the crumb cake!

- This is (I think) my favorite flower stamp set, Flower Shop…I love the simplicity of it and I love the fact that we have a punch that will POP out the flower….fast…fresh….DONE! I stamped in Strawberry Slush.
- The top flower I put stampin' vitamins on all petals to lift it up but also keep it flat and then the other one I just put a stampin' vitamin on the center and then used my pencil to curl it up!

- You know I am "bow challenged" but I was very happy with this! I used a good old hole punch and made 2 holes…threaded in this SUPER NEW THICK Bakers Twine (love it) and made a simple bow – so easy yet the texture makes it look WOW!
- I have been using this sentiment set a bunch! The Four You Stamp Set was carried over and for a GREAT reason….it's a keeper!

- Last but not least, the liner for the envelope! The Envelope Liner Framelit to the rescue…what would we do without it!
Well – are you "perked up" with this bold card! I think I am going to use this for the Breast Cancer Card in June and switch up the sentiment! It truly could not be any easier than this!

You all make me smile when you hear the word SALE!!! I know it's hard not to pass up a deal and I am appreciative and thankful for those of you that went shopping yesterday!
Click here to take advantage of the goodies in the clearance rack!
I do admit, my best advice is…if you REALLY….REALLY do not need it than pass…there are sooooo darn tootin' many great new products in the catalog that I know you are going to love!

Speaking of loving the new products….
Stay tuned for scoop about Ribbon Shares and Designer Series Paper Stack Offers!

(I know…this picture is not new ribbon…I can't get it yet either!!! –
but when you see the NEW RIBBON – you will be doing the WOOT-WOOT dance!!!)
I will also be doing paper shares of 1/2 sheets of the DSP's in each of the color palettes as well as "Swatch Books" of these papers – you know I adore them and use them often…a must have!
Brights * Subtles * Neutrals * Regals * In Color's (both)
but I cannot get the NEW In Color until June 2nd!
I have a dear friend that is a "King" of a guy that does incredible DSP Swatch books – I will just be doing the above color collections…I'll send you his details …

Endless Birthday Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set

Do you remember back at the holidays that they had a stamp set very similiar…well it sold out! This is a GREAT stamp set – WHY? Look at all of these fun sentiments and let your imagination go wild with how you can use them…..(well – you'll see them next week as it will be in my shopping card today!)
O.K. – let's get to today post! Here is the sketch for this week!

This is a great sketch and this is a sketch that YOU can do…so as the saying goes…."Just do it" – I will be more than glad to help you post it…just email me and I will make it happen!

This is the 1st time that I have played with the blendabilities….I am sure that you have heard about then but if not – these are alcohol based markers that making being PICASSO a breeze and I did not do anything special at all but coloring!
(I felt like I was coloring by numbers – these are sooooo smooth and have dual tip like our markers)

You know me by now….I follow just like the sketch says…and this was a cinch! The In Color Designer Series Paper made it easy peasy and I love the look!
The Circle Framelits were the stars of the show and after stampin the image from the Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set….I let the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities do their thing! I used the #7 Stamped Image and then #8 with the Pool Party!

Because I used stampin Dimensionals underneath the whisper white piece (and also corner rounded all of the corners using the Envelope Punch Board) I decided to "double-up" the image with stampin' dimensionals! – you can do this and still not add additional postage!

Are you as excited about the new blendabilities as I am! They are FUN to use and they super EASY to use! How do you not like these colors together…..and instant "pick-me-up"
This is such an exciting time with Stampin' Up! I am super excited to be able to order the new stamp sets soon!
If you are currently not working with a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like a catalog, please email me and I will be glad to mail you one!
Make it a great day, take advantage of the clearance fun and until tomorrow!

Here is a look at all of the products that came in the June kit!
I love the stamps…the colors – the practicality of the whole set!

The thing I adore is if you are feeling like going right from the directions…..go for it but if you want to play around with your other supplies that you have….the sky's the limit – just promise me to have fun!

I was pleased with how this card below turned out – it reminds me of a stripe tie…my Dad always wears a stripe tie and giving a tie for Fathers Day was always a staple for me growning up!
Look closely at the fun words on the green part – the embossing makes it super fun!

Have you noticed that I have been kining the envelopes ? It wouldn't be a card of mine without it and I used "bye-bye" papers, Polka Dot Parade and also Gingham Garden.

This was a fun card to do…just "free-cut" the pieces – added some dimensionals and good to go. The kit comes with the bakers twine and candy dots – making it fun to do different things!

These kits as a Demonstrator I can "Cash and Carry" them and because I believe in this program so much, I always order extra for customers to take advantage of!
I think besides the cards and projects that you can make from the kit…the stamps and the ink are worth it!

If you would like this kit, please shoot me an email and I will pop it in the mail to you! I think that it's hard to find a simple and classic Father Day Stamp and the Happy Birthday one is timeless!
The kit is $20.00
Now to another topic….

On Monday, typepad was not behaving and I re-posted Monday's post of the graduation card yesterday! I thought it is super cute and I really appreciate all of the emails letting me know that my post was not working ! You all are the best and trust me – it makes me just as sad…aggravated….just cyber frustrated when this happens!!
Thinking positive…let's put that behind us! I have some exciting scoop to share with you and I am going to try to add another post later today if I can squeeze it in!
Thanks for popping by and please feel free to email me! If you would like one of these kits – let me know and I will pop it in the mail to you!
Enjoy the day and….Until tomorrow!
by Susan Itell | May 19, 2014 | Make it MINE Monday |

It's Monday and that means that I have another sketch for you to have fun in learning to develop a style that is comfortable and represents your style! If you are new to my blog…1st – Welcome…now let me explain what we are doing on Monday's!
I find a sketch out on the internet that I feel would be a great sketch for you to play with at home and just have fun! If you want to send me a picture of your "work of art", I would love it and I must say I am so proud with how many of you have been doing this! This is our 4th Monday!
Here you go…let's get to it!

Before we get to the "in's and out's" of today's card I want you to know the inspiration behind this! I am sure that you all know Mary Fish and not only is she one talented lady…she is the sweetest and not only am I proud to call her my friend – she is my upline!
I can remember that 2 years ago I saw a card that she did and I just found it to be adorable…please click here to see Mary's great card. I knew that I was going to have some fun with it as well….in my own way! I have so many graduations this year and this was so much fun to make these little owls!
TIP ALERT: When doing this like I am (I made 10 cards) just do it in an assembly line fashion. I find it easy to do it this way and I changed the color if the paper and Owl's body with the school colors of the person I am making it for! They are sooooo darn cute!

Looking at the sketch I thought that you could do it either way…opening from the side or vertical like I did it! I thought using crumb cake as my base would really make my accent colors POP and it does! It is a regular A-2 card .
The polka dot piece calls for a rectangle and the white is a simple square! I hope that when you look at sketches you can see that you can literally take "your vision" of it to be your own.
I must admit, when I look at a sketch I take it to heart…if I see a rectangle…I do a rectangle…remember – it is a shape and there is nothing wrong at making both of the squares (for example)

One thing that I need to say and I mean it from the bottom of my heart ….
Stampin' Up! has the best punches on the market…
I know what you are thinking – you could spend a good chunk of change with the punches…and you are right but I say…."You pay for what you get!" and I feel this sums it up with our punches! Here are my thoughts!
- I say – go through and find the punches that you really feel that you will use over and over again with your style of stampin' and then start there and grow!
- Let you someone special….husband, mom, dad……whomever email me with a wish list and I will make it happen and you will smile!
- Join my cyber Stamp Club and you will be able to take advantage of hostess benefits twice a year from doing nothing but lovin' Stampin' Up!….click here to see more of the scoop!
- Take a "test drive" with Stampin' Up! and me…your 1st order you will be able to take a 30% discount off of your entire order and also earn Hostess Benefits – (that is double dipping at its best) and then if you decide to return your "demo car" – no problem…no penalties….email me and I will call you to answer your questions!
Sentiments are so great and when you get the right sets that you know you'll be able to "tuck in here and there" it's a winner…just like today I am using the 1 simple word = bravo! There is a reason that this set (A Dozen Thoughts) is on the carry over list…IT'S A KEEPER and if you do not have it…add it to your wish list!

Let's go to something that I am going to admit that I had a "road block" with….that darn hat….don't over think it and if it totally frustrates you – I say "BAG -IT" as he is adorable without it…but you can do it…just DO IT! I made a template and just kept tracing and cutting – easy peasy!

The envelope, I lined the outside of the envelope and I have been asked – "how do I do this" – EASY= I just run snail adhesive around the edges and then add paper, cut off excess – BAM done!

Let's look at the envelope more….did you see the part to make the mailman smile twice – the front and the back! I love doing this and the below picture will give you some tips and tricks on how I do it…I realize that it is an extra step, but it does not take that much longer and I will say it makes a difference!

Well…I hope that you are inspire and will be smiling after seeing this super cute card but more importantly, I hope that you will try this sketch….I truly found that reaching out of my comfort zone and doing sketches is a HUGE help in building your confidence and style!
I am honored by being on the design team for the PALS and I will say that if you can try this sketch, than the sketch on Thursday will be a breeze – it's a keeper as I say it!

That's it…go grap your Stampin' fun supplies and let me see your take on this sketch. The sky is the limit and I am so proud of each of you!
This is going to be a great week with my blog – I am excited to share with you some FUN posts – my inspiration was flowing over the weekend!
Remember, all you have to do is click on the pictures below and the product will go right into your shopping cart – so easy. Also, feel free to hit the shop now button if you are looking for other items than I am showcasing in the pictures below!
