“Hello There”…

IMG_6020

A card does not need to be a rectangle…a square…it can also be a CIRCLE! Would this bring a huge smile to your face if you opened up this card? You all know that I love odd shape cards and I thought that I have not shown a circle for a while…..so today is the day!

Odd shape cards are a cinch now that we have the envelope punch board! Because you can use whatever paper you wish…I thought it would be fun to "play up" the lining and use a crumb cake envelope – it is a 4 1/2" square envelope!

IMG_6018

Simple…quick…FUN!

The trick to making a circle card is to leave a gap at the top of the folded card stock. The Circle Framelits were the main focus on making this card come to reality (#8 for the card) and then one the next size down in Coastal Cabana was the POP color!

I have not heat embossed for a while and I think that this stamp lends itself to it! Isn't this a great sentiment? It is a hostess stamp set and the clear mount is just $9.00 when you earn hostess rewards!

You are going to love the new hostess sets in the new catalog, there are 7 in total…that is worth a WOOT-WOOT as they are always such a great value!  Please email me and let me help you get this set for just $9.00!

IMG_6016
I find when I heat emboss, I like adhering the image down flat using the Mono Glue…many times I think that the paper gets a bit "warped" and if you used stampin dimensionals – it tends to be un-even….

The flowers on this card came from the Boho Blossoms Punch. I gave them a quick "curl" with the Bone Folder and then the glue dots and the Brights Candy Dots made it come to life!

IMG_6023

The envelope was lined with the Fresh Prints Paper Stack and you will be happy that we will be having 2 more of these stacks in the New Catalog! I adore them for 2 reasons…love the size and wowzers – a great deal!

IMG_6022

Is is one sweet and fun card! I hope that you will try to make a circle card. Tomorrow is Make it Mine Monday…and I know that you are going to like the sketch that I found!

I received my Paper Pumpkin yesterday and naturally I had to "peek" into it and it is super cute….you'll see my take on it on Tuesday….it's a keeper and all focused to Father's Day and a super cute Happy Birthday Stamp!

I truly hope that you go out of the box and make a different shape of a card! It's fun….it's different….and you will smile!

Until tomorrow!

Another box full of fun!

IMG_6009

Last Saturday I shared with you a cute box that held (8) 3 X 3 cards and lined envelopes…well this week I have another twist for you! Please click here to see the post from last week.

One thing that we all have in common is…we all have a special day once a year…our Birthday! Doesn't this just bring a huge smile on your face!

I will be going to visit my brother at the end of the month and he is a single Dad so I always try to bring him some fun and practical gifts that would be useful to him  – (you know…men don't think about a gift enclosure)

Because we each have a Birthday every year, I decided for my cyber stamp club members (on their Birthday month), I will send them this adorable box of (8) gift enclosures with envelopes as well as they can pick (1) item of their choice for a 15% discount!

IMG_6013

I have had many emails asking about the club…well, here is the scoop! Please feel free to email me if you want to sign up to be in a club/camp or if you have some questions, I'll be glad to get back with you!

It's really simple with how it works,

especially since we all have the same love…STAMPIN' UP!!!

Being part of a club will give you an opportunity to be a hostess (2 x's a year) and enjoy reaping the benefits to get free products and/or stamp sets that are only available for a hostess.

IMG_6007

How does it work and what do I have to do?

  • 6 people to a camp, therefore you will have the opportunity to be a hostess 2 x's a year.
  • Each "camper" needs to spend $25.00 a month in Stampin' Up! products to make sure that the hostess for that given month will at least hit the $150.00 mark to start earning hostess rewards!

Here is the chart for the hostess earnings.

Screen shot 2014-05-16 at 7.42.05 PM

Here are some questions I get asked…

  • Who will be in my camp?Depending on the response…you might have someone from Texas…someone from Maine….you could easily get a friend from your town to carve out a night for the 2 of you to stamp and have fun….the sky is the limit! The total for each camp site needs to be 6!
  • Can I have a hostess code and what is a hostess code? YES...it would be to your best interest to get a hostess code from me so you can get other outside orders from family and friends to earn higher rewards. A hostess code is a 8 digit number that is just for your event, you can share it and when people place orders they simply put in the code, you'll get credit and the product will be shipped directly to them!
  • What do I get from it? Well…1st you get me and that means inspiration and some fun things just for "campers" I think that you know me well enough by now – I will send you a card of thanks each and every month and also another "make-n-take" for you to put together and smile and remember, on your Birthday month, you will get the box and cards from today's post!
  • How many Camps are there going to be? Well…that all depends on YOU…the more camps we have the more fun we'll have! If we have 2 camps – I thought it might be fun to have a swap with each other….doesn't that sound like fun!?!?

I belonged to a Stamp Camp and I loved it…WHY??? I always looked forward to the month that I was the hostess and made a big wsh list and became the biggest cheerleader to my friends to help add to my sales!

It is a WOOT-WOOT time! We all know that we love products – so this is the easiest way to get products…meet new people and have fun!

Even though this is "cyber" (darn I wish you lived here and we could get together in person) we can still "be connected" by the beauty of technology! My goals and intentions are to help you have fun, let me inspire you with ideas just for "campers" and for you to be able to be a hostess twice a year from the convenience of your own home!

IMG_6006

Now we have to get to this super simple "pizza box" for the 3 x 3 cards! Hang tight cause' it is super easy and I want you to make one TODAY!!!  I adore 3 x 3 cards and I always think that they make the best gifts to give…birthday's – hostess – just because!

IMG_6002

  • The paper size is 5 1/4" X 10"
  • In the short side, score at 1" & 4 1/4"
  • On the long side, score at 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2" and 9"
  • Use the bone folder to score all of the lines. Cut in as shown and I highly recommend you to notch in as shown (personal preference)
  • Peel off sticky strip and ahere….PRESTO – A pizza box that will fit (8) cards and (8) lined envelopes!

IMG_6003

To decorate the outer part (in the photo I did not do all sides but then I regretted it)  – I would just do it!

  • (2) DSP of your choice – 3" X 3 1/4"
  • (2) DSP of your choice – 3/4" X 3"
  • (4) DSP of your choice – 3/4" X 3 1/4"

Simply adhere them to the box and you're done! Well….don't forget to make the cards! The cards were made with the Create a Cupcake Stamp Set….now this is TOTALLY WEIRD for me to be saying…BUT – if you do not have this stamp set, I would purchase it! (It is on the bye-bye list….so act now – the wooden one is still available)

The matching Cupcake Punch is being carried over in the catalog soooo that means that there is another stamp set coming out that will work with it….BUT – I still would "snatch" this one up…I love the sentiments and I know that I will use it many, many times –

Create a Cupcake

These are soooo much fun to make and I cut the color paper to a 2 3/4" square and then scored a line at 1/4" all the way around!

I think you can see that it is straight forward…and what the heck – you will get one when you join the Cyber Stamp Camp….( I know that I should be calling it a Club but I like Camp!!!!)

"Girl Scouts" Honor that you will be rewarded and that you will have FUN…I look forward to being your Camp Counselor and please email me and let me know that you want to join the Camp or if you have any questions…..

Below you will see the products that I used to create these cards…remember that you can click on them and they will go right into my on-line store!

Thanks for POPPING in….I hope that you will be a "camper" with me…and I know that you will enjoy the cyber relationships that I do with my cyber friends!!!

Until tomorrow!

It’s Java Time!

IMG_5957

I'm guilty, I love a great cup of coffee! I think I would have a really tough time giving up this morning ritual for me! When Stampin' Up! came out with this stamp set – I immediately did a WOOT-WOOT as the size of it is perfect and it is also a cinch to "fussy cut" out!

I know that this is  different style of card for me…but I must say – I was happy with it as it was fun to make. Another confession to you today…there is a "method to my madness" as I wanted to share with you the FUN of using the Color Coach and to remind you to put on your "wish list" when the new catalog comes out…to order the NEW In Color Refills!

For those of you that are not familiar with this product – let me tell you and trust me in this one – YOU NEED TO HAVE IT! Once you learn how easy it is to use and also how much stress it takes off your plate when you are having a mental block….it's a keeper!

You can see on the right that I have it turned to the Soft Suede Color and then underneath, the colors that are complimentary with this are listed – EASY-PEASY!!! (look further down and you'll see another color combination) – I just love it when you are in a hurry and it is a "quick go-to" but remember with the NEW In Color Paper coming out – you will need to order the refills (just $2.50)

IMG_5965

Let's get to this card for the day!

  • The base is a vertical A-2 card scored at the 5 1/2" in Soft Suede and following the color coach advice, I paired it up with Blushing Bride and Bermuda Bay! The white piece is 1/2" smaller.

IMG_5956

  • I "stamped off" the stamp from the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set as I did not want it to be so dark!
  • The coffee cups were stamped and fussy cut with Pink Pirouette and then using my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig for perfect placement, my sentiment was right where I wanted it!
  • To add a bit of fun and interest I cut a circle out with the Circle Framelits and then using up scraps – a "stitched" rectangle seemed fitting!

IMG_5961

  • You can see in the below picture that I used stampin' dimensionals to POP up the cups of java!
  • Being the bow challenged person I am, I went for the easy way….a simple knot in the soft suede ribbon but before I did that I placed a Stampin' Dimensions on the area and took several "snips" of bakers twine and linen thread to make it FUN!

IMG_5960

  • Keeping the theme going, I lined the outside of the envelope with the Bermuda Bay DSP…the perfect fun and bold finish!

IMG_5963

I am so glad that this stamp set was carried over next year – it's a fun and versatile set to have and the gorgeous grunge….I admit – I was not thrilled with it when I 1st saw it…but I was totally wrong – it is a great stamp set to "fill in spaces" and to also add a quick dimension!

WOOT-WOOT – the weekend is here! Hannah arrived home last evening and we will cherish the next 48 hours! I hope that you have something fun planned for the weekend!

Remember – this would be a GREAT time to straighten up your craft area and take inventory of things you might need (and also some things that might need to find a new home!)

Many thanks for the emails about the Cyber Stamp Club, please email me and let me know if you are interested and I will put you on the list! It is a GREAT way to stay on top of new products and a fabulous opportunity for you to earn hostess benefits from not doing a darn thing but be a part of the club!

I am going to "touch on it" a bit more to help answer questions. Enjoy the day…go make someone smile and as always, I thank you for popping by and I appreciate you telling your family and friends about my passion!

Until tomorrow!

Thank you for popping by and if you have not subscribed to my blog before…please do so  – I blog daily to inspire you with lots of fun and unique options.

Let's get to it!

IMG_5938

  • This card makes you smile – 2 reasons to me….one, polka dots and two – yellow! These 2 combinations make a fun card!
  • The base is a regular A-2 Card in Whisper White and then using my old failthful's  – In Color Brights Designer Series Paper to make the fun part of the card! (3" X  3 3/4")
  • Soooo excited that this stamp set, Feels Good, is carried over  for next year…I stamped it in Daffodil Delight and then using the Labels Framelits (#3) to cut it out with the help from Mr. Big Shot!
  • Bermuda Bay is the accent color and I used the same size of framelits but simply snipped it in half before adhering it to the sentiment!

IMG_5940

  • Using Stampin Dimensioals and adhering it to a piece of Daffodil Delight but if you notice – I used the Simply Scoring Tool and scored a line 1/4" on all sides! (This is a quick and trick that creates interest and texture)
  • Yippe – the NEW Itty Bitty Flower Punch – sooooo cute – I "rolled" the edges up and added a "dot" made from the cupcake punch…another quick and easy tip!
  • Lining the outside flap was the quick finale for today….everyone loves yellow and this is the best way to make a mailman smile!

IMG_5941

BAM – DONE! This is a fun and easy to whip up the creates a big punch! I do hope that you try today's challenge – it is a great one to get your feet wet and please know that if you need help uploading  picture, just email me and I will help!

I hope that you are getting as excited as I am for the new catalog – this is such an exciting time of the year! I know that you are going to love it – I simply cannot wait to get my "paws" on the new goodies!

IMG_5939

Until tomorrow…..get your coffee ready – it's time for a java break!

It’s time to HOP…and say goodbye!

2014mayhop_badge

Welcome to the May Pals Blog Hop!

This is the first hop on our new day – the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Before we celebrate the release of the new Stampin' Up! catalog next month, we want to take time to say "goodbye to our favorite retiring products."

This month we are showcasing projects that feature stamps or accessories that are retiring along with the 2013-14 Idea Book & Catalog on June 4th.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Stop # 6, Sue Becker at RnR Stamping on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog.

IMG_5951

I will say that it is always bittersweet to see certain stamps and products go bye-bye…but I can honestly say that I am so thrilled with the new catalog – I am ready and excited!

This card showcases a stamp set that I will miss. I did this card on a "notecard" size before but I wanted to include a sentiment that was also special to me that is on the "bye-bye" list!

IMG_5944

The Stamp Set is Bright Blossoms and the Sentiment is from the Sweet Essentials set. I often get asked…what do you do with your discontinued stamps? In a nutshell…if they "touch my heart" and also if I know that I could use it for my Breast Cancer Cards…I'll keep it!

IMG_5953

These 2 stamps sets "I'll keep" – they represent a simple look that I love! Click here to see the post that I did with just a single vase. Today I thought it would be fun to do an odd size card and the 3 1/3 X 7 was the base!

In keeping with today's theme, I used the "bye-bye" Gumball Green and then vases are Midnight Muse. The punch pack is going to be really, really sad to leave but I know you are going to like the new one. (Pop back tomorrow as I am using the new flower on my card)

IMG_5946

The stamp-a-ma-jig was my must have friend for today's card…I always draw a faint pencil line to use as a guide – but the stamp-a-ma-jig is the real life saver!

Please refer back to the orginal post to see some of the tips…but this pictue below is something I do often for the instant pop for the flower – glue dots are your friends!

IMG_4494

You know that I try to make my "cards for a purpose" and this adorable card is going to my friend that was in charge of the fundraiser for our local hospital! She did an amazing job as it was a huge success!

IMG_5952

Using the punch board to make a fun and unique envelope and I lined the outside with the in-color designer series paper…Did you notice what I did to the back flap? I cut it off as I do not care for the long point when you make a long and skinny card – I think it looks great like this!

This is a HUGE BLOG HOP today and I hope that you enjoy all of the great talent out there. I thank you for stopping by and I hope I made you smile, inspired you and taught you a great tip!

The next stop is # 8 Michelle Quinno at Shell's Life on the Pals Blog Hop! Thanks for visiting and  I hope to see you next month.

Have a fabulous day and have fun hopping….until tomorrow!
