I am such a traditionalist and I must admit…when Stampin' Up! came out with the Photopolmer Stamps…I was like…"What the heck are these"!!! I bought the 1st one they came out with and I found it very frustrating trying to get the letters the way I wanted them…
Last week when I logged onto Stampin' Up! I saw this INCREDIBLE stamp that said "Thank You" (the one on this card) and I was doing the "happy dance"…I simply could not read quick enough to see if it was single stamp….if it was a new stamp set…and then when I found out it was a Photopolymer Stamp, I thought…I need to have this!
Can you say clean, simple, crisp, classic…just fun all the way around!
I just love this card! It will work with a standard A-2 card size but I wanted this to make a statement of WOW so I make a 5" square card! You all know by know that I adore odd shaped cards!
The colors of Whisper White, Night of Navy and Gumball Green are so classic! I admit, I was a bit hesitant to see if the color would cover with such a dark color….and honestly – this was my 1st "go at it" worked like a charm with the 1st stamp!
One thing that I decided that I love about this style of stamps…you can see exactly where you are stamping as everything is clear! Storage is minimal as well…another added plus for many of us!Click here to watch a short video on the Photopolymer Stamps! I think that Stampin' Up will continue to come out with more!
There is really not much to say about this card and how to make it…as you can see this is a super easy one! Before I used the Boho Blossom Punch, I took the Gumball Green scrap piece of paper and balled it up…rolled it around in my hands….before I punched it to soften up the paper's fibers to give the punch a softer look and feel! Then the classic pearl was all this flower needed!
That's about it! It is soooo darn easy but the wow is soooo great! This stamp set is a keeper and also a bargain for all of these great sentiments!
This has been a busy yet fulfilling week for me…you know I am computer challenged and that I struggle with this whole technology side…(I've got the designing cards and posting figured out) – it's just the technical things of the layout of the blog that gets me!
I thank you for noticing that my blog "look" has been updated and tweaked a bit! A HUGE shout out and THANKS to fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Patsy Waggoner, for helping me with this endeavor! Once again, a perfect example of the relationships you build with fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators!
There is not a doubt in my mind that Patsy and I are going to be friends…and better yet – I look forward to meeting her and continuing to tell stories…laugh and learn together on this Stampin' Up! journey! Thank you Patsy for all of your hard work, time and patience with me!!! This card is for YOU , my way of a BIG thank you for your time, suggestions and professionalism you have given to me this week!
Please leave me a comment and let me know if you like this card as much as I do and also how you like my blog! Remember, you can subscribe right from the blog and also you can order your heart's desire 24 hours a day!
Thanks for your time in popping by, I am grateful and so honored to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, your cyber friend and hopefully your daily dose in inspiration!
This is a "2 for 1" card as it is really 2 cards in 1!!!
A main card with a "sappy" message from "Mom" and then another cute are that not only has a gift card that will bring a smile to my son's face…but also a "talking tag" from Stampin' Up!…one product that I totally think gets missed!
This is for my oldest son that just moved back from China! He is living in Boston and a gift card always comes in handy! I know that there are times that it is hard to create a masculine card…but this stamp set, Perfect Blend fits the bill and I was pleased with the end result!
There are soooooo many incredible cards and projects made with this stamp set, I totally encourage you to google it and you will be amazed at the "beauties that are out there" My son loves coffee and I thought that this would be a great stamp set to send him some cookies and things he left from home!
As you can see there are actually 2 cards here! A smaller one mounted on top! WHY? – I really do not know….it just happened and I liked it! Knowing that I wanted the "brown family", I knew that the new "Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper" would be super-duper! This paper is an "A list" must have paper! Sooooo yummy and feel like you want to get a cup of hot chocolate and go to your Craft Area and create…away!!!!!
I stamped the coffee cup in Soft Suede, I just think it always looks great with the Very Vanilla!. Taking it to the next level, I pulled out the Yippee-Skippee Stamp Set ( now that's a mouthful) but a super fun and modern stamp set! I inked it up with the Versa Marker and then using the Early Espresso Embossing Power and the Heat Tool…I let the magic happen!
I think that there are soooo many fun and unique ideas you can make with these stamp sets! To me….a day without coffee means I am sick! I truly enjoy a great cup of coffee….getting on my computer and seeing what's out there in the mornings….all with my 5 dogs and pig…and then hitting the floor for the day!
Being that I am not a "fussy" one with lots of embellishments etc…I felt that it need something and using the Linen Thread wrapped around the base gave it a level of interest and dimensions!
Wanting to get a "maximized effect" I thought putting the gift card in the smaller one would be a perfect match….but there was still one more thing that I wanted to give to my son….that is a message from "Mom" with my own voice! This is where the "Talking Tags" come in! Please click here and watch this short video and you will see how fun they are…..and your own voice….PRICELESS to the ones you love!
I have a simple question for you….."When was the last time you used a Talking Tag.…if ever?????" Then the next thing I am going to ask you "Why not"!!!! These gems are the "heart" that meets your card! I was able to record a message to my son that not only is personal ……but it is MY voice that HE can hear with his phone……how super cool is technology!
This was a fun and rewarding card to make….as my son has lived in China for 4 years….I find it an incredible treat and blessing to have him back in the States! I can hardly wait to get a call from him on Saturday when he receives his goodies! I know him too well….he will adore the card and even love his "Snickerdoodle Cookies" but more importantly, his message from "Mom" from the talking tags!
I hope that you can "snuggle" up with a great cup of coffee and find some inspiration from this post! I have a great card for you tomorrow….a super fun, classic way to say thanks to anyone!
Have a fabulous day and remember that I am an email away and you can click here to shop at my online fun zone….utill tomorrow!!!
It's Thursday and you know what that means…..time for a PPA Challenge ( Pals Paper Art ) and how about you playing too!!! It's fun and it's a way for you to go outside of your box!!! Today's challenge is a sketch challenge designed by Pal Nicole Watt…super fun!
The temperature here on the East Coast is 90 – HOT but brrrr……look at this adorable snowman just waiting to make an appearance! (not too soon I hope) – I hope you enjoy my interpretation of today's design!
When Mary Fish had a conference call and the PALS were sneak peeking through the holiday catalog…this stamp set, Snow Day, was one that I was on the fence about….I simply did not have a vision with it but I allowed myself to listen to the other much more seasoned PALS and they all thought it was going to be a "keeper" set!
So glad I "bit the bullet" and purchased it as he is a darling snowman! Knowing that I was going to use the Winter Frost Designer Series Paper today, I let the colors that are in this paper series to dictate my color choices!
The snowman I stamped in Smoky Slate and then the accent color is Island Indigo! A fun and fresh contrast! Love the little hat and fun touches this stamp set offers to decorate the snowman up!
CONFESSIONS OF AN HONEST STAMPER: First – I really was on a time crunch to get this card made and I pressed too hard when stamping his eyes and smile….I kept looking at it thinking he looked weird and why? I had too much ink and when I pressed…I made this weird Island Indigo nose…..EASY-PEASY cover up…I snipped a piece of orange paper to cover my mistake! No worries!
Knowing that I was going to use the Regal Buttons with the Whisper White Bakers Twine in the horizontal piece of DSP…I thought it would look cute to cover up yet another mistake I made – I did not stamp my snowflake hard enough…again – a trick of a button to cover it up! Looks cute….right!?!? A quick mat on the Island Indigo was all that this needed!
The sentiment is from the new catalog and a definite "A list" stamp, it is called Christmas Messages. There are soooo many fabulous sentiments in this Stamp Set….I look forward to inspiring you with many more from this set!
The envelope was made happy with the Envelope Liner Framelit and the help of my Stampin' friend, Mr. Big Shot! I still go back and forth from my method but I will say…a crank of the big shot goes super fast!
Please…super please go to the PPA Website and see all of the beautiful cards that were created not only by the incredible Design Team, but also from other SU Demonstrators and customers like YOU!
Remember, I am a click away for you to order any of these goodies and it is never too late to start to make your holiday cards! I am also an email away if you have any questions!
I was tickled with the end result of this card….and this is going to be a card that we will make for the Breast Cancer patients in September! The volunteers are going to love making these but the best thing is that the patients are going to have a HUGE smile when they receive the card!
A CAS (Clean and Simple) card….is all about me – and this is what this card represents! Using minimal supplies with a BANG of a result is the way to go…and this card is a card that can be mass produced in no time!
Many posts ago I showcased this gingham stamp, It is actually a wheel but I turned it into a stamp! Click here to see the previous post ….it's cute one!Why do I do this?
The Wheel Stamps are very affordable! This is on page #82 in the catalog and you can see that is is just $6.50! It is called Gingham and it's a keeper!
You all know I have yet to venture into the video world…but check on the super video that Mary Fish did showcasing how easy it is to transform the wheel into a stamp! One you see this – you'll understand why I love to do it!
I have been "missing" my crumb cake fix so today is the day to use this as my neutral! Your traditional A-2 card but I scored for a top fold…just a change up! Using a scrap piece of paper I stamped using the Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink
CONFESSION TIME: – I am not a huge fan of this ink….I am sharing this with you as I am being totally honest – LOVE the effect it gives…but it is much "wetter" and you do need to allow time for it to dry…just be careful – I honestly it's me as I do not think I use it enough!
I just love using scraps and being able to stamp these flowers in Pacific Point from the Flower Shop Stamp Set, an "A list" set plus it is a snap being able to POP them out with the Pansy Punch!
I added a bit of bling to the centers of the flower using some of the retired Bitty Buttons and then added a Neutral Candy Dot ( love these things)
The sentiment came from the Thoughts and Prayers Stamp Set, but did you notice something different with the sentiment? I covered the part "Please know I care" not because I did not like it….I just want the simple "Thinking of you" This is easy using a piece of sticky note and after you ink it up well….peel off the sticky strip and presto!
A quick mat in both colors and then a quick stitch using the Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen…IS SUPER EASY to use and just adds that special touch!
I POPPED up the sentiment and also POPPED up 2 of the flowers with the stampin' dimensionals but I left the middle flower flat to give more interest! Cute card….right???
The envelope had it's TLC twice….flowers stamped on the inside & the front for the mail man to smile and the liner from the Brights Designer Series Paper to add that special touch from the help of the Envelope Liner Framelits!
I know that my ladies are going to enjoy making these! They are super
cute and a card that you could switch out colors to make it look
totally different! There is nothing wrong with a basic card and making
some minor changes!!!
School is starting in many areas…time for
us to take a deep breath from the summer but then time to think about

In total I had 76 Comments left on my blog and 11 emails sent to me about the Blog Candy Post in celebration of my 200th post!!! WOW…I deeply thank you for POPPING by! Your comments were very touching and I am si glad that many of you enjoy my blog! Thanks a bunch!
Drum roll….and the winner is……Nanci!
WOOT-WOOT for you!!!!
Please email me your address and they will be in the mail!
Here is her comment: Congratulations to you Susan I love following you!!!Now this is funny because TODAY Aug 18 is My Birthday and we are having Ribs for dinner with homemade mac and cheese the mac and cheese was at my grandchildren request otherwise I would be having potato salad. Cupcakes for Birthday cake
This is even funnier as we both like BBQ Ribs….too funny! I hope you enjoy them and I hope you had a special Birthday!
I cannot tell you what a blast I had reading everyone's favorite meals and comments! Not only did it make me super hungry as well as thinking about yummy foods that I have not had in a while (like Ham Loaf – YUM….Red Velvet Cake – YUM…and I adore Lamb and WOW – there are a bunch of Angel Food Cake Fans!!!) but also the fact that so many said what was most important is to share a meal with your family!
This is what touched my heart so much and this is the thing that I love about Direct Sales! I have been involved with direct sales for gee…. over 20 years but only with Stampin' Up! for 17 months….direct sales allows you to express yourself….make your business whatever you want it to be and to develop relationships that you simply would never have done!
I am here to tell you that I look forward to 200 more posts as I adore Stampin' Up! and I adore YOU…my faithful followers and customers! It's the "feel goods" and "making a difference" that keeps me motivated! Thank you…
This is a perfect card for Susan as the sentiment says it all…"thanks for your support"!!! The Stamp Set is For the Birds and this is one of my favorites as I love to watercolor and get out the Aqua Painters….(makes me feel like an artist) ha-ha!!!
I took the mailbox but "masked" the sentiment and used another sentiment to fit my needs….see just making simple changes works!!!
When you do use the watercolor method, I highly recommend that you use the watercolor paper….WHY? – simple = it "holds" the extra moisture and your card will not get "wet:" through and also it will stay super flat!
I used the Oval Framelits with the hep of Mr. Big Shot to cut out the front of the card and then used the Black Staz On Ink to stamp my images! This is a must or it will bleed! The colors I used were Real Red, Marina Mist and Soft Sky!
Using 2 of the ovals made a perfect frame for the front of this sweet card and the little touches of the Boho Blossom Punch was a great added touch! The heart came from the Owl Builder Punch ( I always forget about this sweet heart…..glad I didn't today!)
The envelope was adorned with the Polka Dot Parade Paper! I know….I used it yesterday but I really wanted that POP of red ….at least I flipped it over to show another polka dot print! This paper is just sooo darn cute!
Well – this card sums it up…
"I appreciate your support"
