I just love February! Doesn't Valentines Day just bring a smile to your face as well as bring you back to your childhood memories! I have always made my Valentines and I passed that tradition onto my wonderful children! This little goodies will certainly make it to lots of my family and friends letting them know I love them! We are all kids at heart…and with M&M's – it makes it super-yummy! ( So darn glad that they make dark chocolate ones now!!!!)
Today's fun project is fun and fast! I like it as you can do it in steps! The Petite Pocket Bigz Die is the focal anchor for this project! After running it through my dear and special friend, Mr. Big Shot….I ran it through again with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder to give that wow and fun factor! The sweet little heart paper that is in the More Amore Designer Paper Pack is the soft and subtle touch against the Real Red cardstock! Wrap around…adhere and POOF – super cute….but there is more!

I thought what could be a fast and fun finishing touch – you know me….it has to be fast and easy, so a quick stamp of that fabulous " Happy Valentine's Day" stamp – punched out with the heart punch…then popped over the adorable scalloped edge heart to make it go PERFECT!!!!
Next – time to eat M&M's to make sure they a fitting for your family and friends and we all know M&M's are a staple crafters vitamins! These fun and sleek little bags( pg. 161) are perfect for smaller candies and when you see the colors….no doubt your smiling!!!! As a topper I used the very fitting "YUM" stamp, Pretty Petites ( that was FREE), and then using the Petite Curly Label Punch ( that was FREE) made it all come together!

I simply love playing around with my stamps and creating fun and unique gifts! Please sign up to receive any updates I post on my Blog and know that I would be honored to help you with your projects. I love to be inspired….but I love to inspire others to reach their goals! Enjoy the day!

It seems like I have had lots of friends celebrating Birthdays!!! Well I must say……I simply LOVE this card! I was on the fence about purchasing this Framelit but I sure am glad I did! Is this the best card or what! Right up my alley with clean and simple lines!
Crumbcake is probably one of my favorite color of papers and I always use it as one of my "go to's" but I thought the Early Espresso would also add an element of depth and sophistication and the end result is spectacular! Using the Very Vanilla Card Stock I ran the "dress" through "OLD FAITHFUL" Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and I wish I had a dress like that!

The "belt" with the adorable flower and pearl is that simple – understated focal point that brings it all together! This card uses a very minimal about of materials and actually comes together in a jiffy! I looked at it and then thought….what else could I do but still keeping it looking like Jackie Kennedy would say WOW……Out came the scalloped trim border and that little touch put this card up and over the top! I masked off part of the sentiment just to get the part that I wanted and then freehand cutting it out….( I like this kind of look) again SIMPLE!

The inside message was the perfect Sentiment for my friend and I just had to finish it off with another flower and pearl! I had made up several of these gems to keep on hand because I just think it is the cutest card!!!! and as always…..my card has to have a liner – this was from the Holiday Paper Stack! Perfect!

Clean…Crisp….FUN! This is my kind of card that I love to make! Super simple and can easily be duplicated for many different themes by just changing out the sentiment or stamp! All of these items used came form the New Spring Catalog and the Sale-a-Bration promotion! Now…..my fingers are crossed that Stampin' Up will come out with a hexagon punch but until then my paper snips were the key to snippin' away to make the insides of the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. A great card to utilize scraps!
I just mentioned Paper Snips – we all have favorites – and these little gems are truly my favorites and I literally get my "feathers ruffled" when I can not find them! Truth be told – I have a "spare" tucked away so no one in my family can get them! I often hear…."Where are those little black sharp scissors?" These are hands down the best crafting scissors you will ever own – makes cutting even the smallest of details a super simple SNIP!!!
As always, you can see I pulled the lining of my envelope to a focal part to my card! I just love having both my card and envelope blend together to create a perfect theme! This designer paper was FREE from part of the Sale-a Bration promo going on right now…love the name of this paper – Sycamore Street. The colors are luscious and it pulls together colors that I usually do not go to but when you see them blended together out comes that simple WOW factor!

The sentiments in this Feels Good Stamp Set are terrific! I never was a fan of sentiments until I listened and took the advice from my amazing upline, Mary Fish. She once told me when in doubt between a stamp set of images or a sentiment – go with the sentiment! It took my a while to "get that" but I do believe that as the sentiment is the focal part to your card and the simplicity of your paper and design will make it all pop and come together!
There is nothing wrong with simple, clean lines! You can do cards like this over and over again and you simply cannot go wrong! Stampin' Up has so many new embossing folders and this one, the Honeycomb, creates a clean-deep image that adds a dimension unlike any of their other embossing folders!

I was asked yesterday, why do you love making cards and crafts so much…BAM – easy answer…it allows me to have time for myself to make not only others happy but I find it so incredible rewarding for me personally! I am not a fussy – frilly card maker….I just know what I like and I know what I do not like! It has to be simple, clean and fun! Trust me – if I can do it ….YOU CAN DO IT!
Being a Stampin' Up Demonstator has been a big blessing to me as I truly only do it for myself! I am a hoppbyist at heart and love to have a HUGE family of super creative demonstrators to be inspired by! After owning just about everything in the catalog I decided to become a demonstrator to be able to support my habit and with the Sale-a Bration going on…now is the GOLDEN time to become a demonstrator…for $99.00 – you will be able to pick $156.50 worth of ANY product and that is it!!!! No strings attached and the majority of Demonstrators are hobbyist (and truly many of them never tell anyone that they are) ….just to be able to order great products at a discounted price!
Please contact me if you would like to hear how I have created a "starter kit" for the person that does not have any Stampin' Up products…I have been able to pull together $156.50 worth of my favorite and practical products that you can get started with! We all know that there are many more goodies that we would like….and the best part is – YOU can do it at a discount! I would love to have you join me and The Pals Group that the wonderful Mary Fish has built up! What an amazing group of men and women that are super creative and super fun!
WHEW….I know this was a long one….but here is the supplies for today's card!

WOOT-WOOT!!! This is exactly what I was doing as I heard my beautiful daughters voice on the other end of the phone…yesterday she found out that she was "captured" by the Sorority that was her 1st choice! Instantly my heart was filled with joy as I never had the opportunity to be in a Sorority! Her voice and words were non-stop and I knew how excited she was! The best part…her other 2 close friends were also in the frenzy of the excitement!
I knew I had to put my thinking cap on and make the girls something special….well I think I hit it right on! This is the 1st time I have used the Petal Cone Bigz L Die but it was just the perfect choice for something special (especially since it is filled with dark chocolate kisses). The colors were purple and yellow and yesterday I said I was going to use something from the Sale-A-Bration FREE gifts….and yes – the designer paper was from the Sycamore Street Designer Paper!

To get the yellow scalloped piece….SIMPLE = just put a scrap right over the die and I was able to get the Rich Razzleberry and the Daffodil Delight all in one crank through my dear friend Big Shot! Punching holes and threading through the seam binding ribbon was a perfect touch (hands down – my favorite ribbon to work with as I am "bow challenged" and it comes in soooo many colors!!!) I still think it need a little something so I searched for the perfect sentiment – MISSION ACCOMPLISHED….these cute little birds carrying the "hooray" banner is from the Henry Says stamp set!

This looks like it would be hard to do but just the opposite – it came together super fast and it would be a perfect choice to make for party favors! I have had that pom-pom ribbon forever and never knew what to do with it – so glad Hannah's colors were and it is just adorable….just like her! She is our little red caboose and we miss her so but she is so happy at college!!! We are proud of you Hannah!

by Susan Itell | Feb 1, 2013 | Love, Valentines |

I don't know about you…but the day I see the calendar turn to February I immediately think of Valentines Day! I have such fond memories of being a child and loving to swap Valentines at school…it was fun to get together with other "girls" and see the ones the "boys" sent to us! Great memories!
I simply could not get this beautiful card out of my head! I went to Stampin' Ups Leadership Convention in January and I saw this spectacular card on display and you bet my camera took lots of pictures…but then the best possible thing happened – I was able to take a break out class with the dymanic Stamper that made this…Connie Stewart! Connie has this super cool and fun appraoch to her card making and I have enjoyed watching her videos!
This truly is a super simple card to make and the WOW factor is there! I just wish you could see it yourself as no matter how many pictures you take….seeing and feeling it in person is simply the best…but the great news is – YOU CAN DO IT TO!!!
The main body stamp comes from the You Are Loved Stamp Set…it is beautiful and has so many possibilities as well as the NEW stamp set featured in the Spring Catalog –Hearts of Flutter ( and just do it….BUY the bundle!!!) not only will you save money but you will also love simplifying your frustrations of cutting….a crank thru dear old Big Shot and you are good to go!I truly do not know what makes my life easier – the Big Shot or the Stampin' Trimmer.

Using Connies Techniques and then adding a bit of my own - I was thrilled with how this card turned out! The little hearts peeking out are so darn cute and then on the inside I used the framelit of the big heart…..ran it through with the Lacy Brocade Framelit…popped it and added a sweet sentiment and voila ….DONE! I just had to add a little pearls to the flowers on the stamp cause…..pearls ARE a girls best friend! My signature finishing touch that I do on all of my cards is a lined envelope….a card is just not the same without that finishing touch and the polka dots are perfect and fun!
I am going to be making this card at my next "stamp a stack" – I would love for you to come…we will be making 12 cards in total….( 3 each of 4 designs!!!) Super easy + Super fun = A Rewarding Time! I am the very 1st to know how precious our time is – but trust me….there IS a way that you can be fulfilled with making YOUR own gifts from your heart!
